I live in Windsor,Ontario, Canada which is the home of the “Tea Party” & i’ve fortunately have seen them live several times, 3 times in Windsor down on the Windsor/Detroit riverfront which is actually beautiful + i’ve seen them in London,Ontario, Canada a few times & they never EVER disappoint 🤘 when i lived in “La Salle,Ontario” which is basically a suburb of Windsor i use to run into drummer Jeff Burrows at the grocery store sometimes lol. Lead singer/guitarist Jeff Martin lives in Toronto & bassist/keyboardist Stuart Chatwood lives in Australia 🇦🇺 now. I know the “Tea Party” are big here in Canada but i learned years ago that the “Tea Party” are big in “Australia” which is so awesome but you can’t keep him lol 😆 Anyways Cheers 🍻 from 🇨🇦
Those guys have been around since the it's kind of like saying Nine Inch Nails is 3 have been around and making music for a long time this is just their petty stuff research the band Unfortunately they came up with a song title and title called the tea party which was 1990s horrific mistake but if you remove read what was going on at that point timing music everybody thought these guys were going to dominate who understands Luke fickell 90s
Saw them 2 times back in 1995 ! It was tremendous and amazing to the least . People were freaked out to hear Morrison's voice again on stage ! One of the 10 best gigs in the 90's i have been part of .
I've seen a lot of live bands, but these blokes are insanely good! A good mate of mine was in a well known Sydney band, who did well here and overseas, but he always mentioned that despite the fact Jeff was a little 'full of himself', they hated backing the Tea Party because no matter how well they played on the night, it was inevitable they'd be blown off the stage! The Tea Party truly puts on one of the best live experience in contemporary music :-)
It's okay though, because Stuart is more than decent enough to make up for Jeff Martin (the drummer is also named Jeff so best to differentiate lol) being a bit of a douche.
I used to see these guys in little bars in Halifax Nova Scotia back in the day. The first time I saw them I had only heard The River on the radio and thought id go see them for something to do. We were blown away. Standing 3 feet from them. Blown away...
Obviously a GR8 Band to See LIVE INCREDIBLE #MUSICIANSHIP! The Tea Party sure Deserve greater ATTENTION! #songwriters #concerts #livemusic #liverock #impressive #talent #wild #rockmatters #musicmatters #musicians #cdn
I have the CD...I always thought it sounded amazing. Actually seeing it, though...it brings home to me just how much these guys care about putting on a good show. I love it even more now.
02:44 "Hmm... What next? What's another song I play in Csus2 tuning... with a 12 string... nearly every set? For the last 20+ years? Man, you think I'd remember this..."
I've seen them so very many times and every show is fantastic. Even the one under the shitty tent, during a downpour, with a wet t-shirt contest going on behind the show. Not kidding. This was also at their height in popularity, lol. This does not reflect poorly on them at all, every band will play shows if the pay is good, and honestly, it was a fantastic show with about 150 people under the show tent, a stage that was about 6 inches off the ground and a happy, positive atmosphere. Miss those days.
a badass song from a badass most artistic band! USA WAKE UP!! This is ART! Wake up America! Quit subjecting yourself to corporate ass crap. Check out real music
Mike Drennan Plenty of us have been listening to him for years. Get off the USA crap. Plenty of great bands across the world who deserve listening too. Try Stonebride from Crotia if you really want to see talent. Oh and I live in Florida in the good old USA dumbass!!!
underrated gem of a band.
I agree! Discovered then back in 96'... That Trio were fire!
1 of my favourite bands of all time
So true. The guys kicked arse in Australia
Sister Awake is such an amazing composition.
The The Tea party for Batman Paint it black is awesome
Saw them live 15 times in the 90's, they are simply awesome. Shout out to "Stages" Kitchener Ontario Canada
The “we are back... for good”... gets me every time :)
Pure genius. Absolute mastery. Nothing else in rock compares. Yes, we Australians love The Tea Party.

Cant wait to see The Tea Party live again in Australia!!
Saw them 2 times back in 1995 ! It was tremendous and amazing to the least . People were freaked out to hear Morrison's voice again on stage ! One of the 10 best gigs in the 90's i have been part of .
Oh, you were helping the performance? You weren't 'a part' of the gig; Audience.
thisisres Part of the shared experience which is a 'gig'

have to agree jeff martin talks a lot of flog....but the music speaks for itself....impeccable
It's okay though, because Stuart is more than decent enough to make up for Jeff Martin (the drummer is also named Jeff so best to differentiate lol) being a bit of a douche.
Jeff Martin was a real nobhead in person back in the day, but he seems alright now. Jeff Burrows is awesome, he's really great with fans.
Amazing... thanks.. one of the greatest bands of all time aswell..xo
Great band live, give it their all!
I used to see these guys in little bars in Halifax Nova Scotia back in the day. The first time I saw them I had only heard The River on the radio and thought id go see them for something to do. We were blown away. Standing 3 feet from them. Blown away...
Jeff Burrows just single handedly made me wanna pick up my sticks again
He's an absolute beast!
Love this, sends me to a far away place :-)
That's the phrygian dominant scale at work. It's bascially why /what this song sounds like...playing off of if I'm making sense.
Owww! My ass still hurts from being kicked by this video. Tea Party is a very underrated band. Thanks for posting this vid.
this is one of my top 10 gigs ever.
They rocked in melbourne at the Palais Theatre. Cant wait to see them again
