It's not something I've tried with this recipe, but feel free to give it a shot and let me know! For a more savory marinade/topping option, check out my chimichurri recipe here: www.chilipeppermadness.com/recipes/chimichurri/
I just tried this recipe on two pork loin chops. I would have tried them on the grill but it's non stop rain outside so I cooked them on the stove top in a cast iron pan. They were absolutely delicious. Thank you for the recipe!
at 0:28, I had to pause, your intro really speaks to me. I love pork, I even substitute beef for pork in many recipes. Porc is not only cheaper (and times are hard!) but fat is a great vehicule for flavor. I'm a big fan of pork belly, ham and ground pork. Often, people don't even notice that I make my meatballs with pork instead of beef. 😁
Made this recipe tonight!! Added fresh garden chives and scallions for flavouring - I also added great Canadian Maple 🍁 BBQ sauce I bought on our holidays a few weeks back! Perfect compliment to the brown sugar - excited to try!! Great recipe!
I saved this recipe, it's my go-to marinade for pork chops. My kids love it as well. I cook them (usually thin, boneless chops) on my cast iron grill or in a cast iron pan with a tiny bit of oil over high heat. They only take a few minutes to reach 145'.
Made these pork chops tonight on the grill. This marinade is fantastic!. I didn’t have Tabasco or Louisiana style hot sauce so used sriracha and it worked great. Have saved the recipe and I’ll definitely be making them again. Going to try it with chicken too. Thank you for a great marinade.
@@ChiliPepperMadness I will continue watching your up coming of your new recipes .. I will try this juicy grilled pork chop for our dinner tonight .. my family would sure like your own version of this Pork Chop .. have a blessed weekend ..
Hi, what brand of Red Chili Flakes are you using? I have the Oganic Great Value Brand Red Pepper Flakes from Wally World. I need to shop for some Red *Chili* Flakes. I love these videos. 😀
They were absolutely delicious! I was only able to marinate them for a couple of hours, so the flavor was mild. Next time I'll do it longer. Can't wait to try this on chicken too. New favorite!
I like this recipe with chicken or beef powder/paste or broth, bay leaves, butter, and rosemary. If you want to give it some color add in some saffron flowers or achiote paste/powder.
I enjoyed this video. It has a lot of inspration potential. I have a question; at what temperature do you tend to cook porkchops like these at? I tend to go for medium or just a bit hotter, but am not sure if that is the best approach. I do firmly believe that thick porkchops are much tastier than the thin one's at most supermarkets. You should put up a "buy me a coffee" link, or in you case "buy me some new delicious Chilies".
That is a great idea, thanks! =) As for the temperature, no matter how you cook your pork chops, you want to cook them to a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F for medium or 160 degrees F for well done.
I did a good medium-high heat with 4 minute sear, flip, couple more minutes (for grill marks), then moved it to indirect heat to finish. I like to cook to temp, shoot for 145 degrees F for medium or 160 degrees F for well done. Enjoy!
Hi, I've been using this marinade since first saw, I sometimes use chipotle peppers in adobo instead of hot sauce when have open can, I get great deal on boneless rib cut chops from butcher, I usually get grill to 400, but sometimes on boneless the fat on edges burn but taste great, internal perfect but some in family guy that fat cuz looks burnt, I eat it lol, should I cook at lower temp longer? Or 400 and move to indirect? Been thinking 400 shorter cook and move to indirect, going to this weekend so hope see this lol, in head tells me higher temp and move to indirect?? It's confusing to change the game and meat so expensive. Tyvm tc
Thats actually from another RUclipsr chef who created his on wash your sister sauce. He named it that lol when I find his channel I’ll try to get back here and link it. Maybe he’s watching cooking shows on yt
@@samanthahicks3333 That's just the internet altering your son's vocabulary in a hilarious fashion and I'd limit screentime more before he says more colorful hilarious things.
Pam, this will last easily a week or longer refrigerated. The acidity from the vinegar will help it keep longer. You can even freeze it if you'd like to keep it longer.
Pro Tip: Pour the marinade in a skillet and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Use a a sauce on the pork chops. Pork chops turned out great. I let them marinade for 2.5 hours while at the gym. Cooked them in a skillet. Was missing a little flavor so cooking the marinade down as a sauce was a the perfect touch.
This marinade is great no matter how you make your pork chops, but what's your favorite way to cook them?
I like savory marinades, can this work without sugar?

Perfect time to vacuum seal. Help that marinade soak in further. And, if you sous vide them then go for the quick sear, that flavor would explode.
There you go!

I usually make my own by dehydrating peppers from my garden, but a good store bought brand is good. Thanks so much!!
Nice recipe Chef.
One suggestion, substitute out the hot sauce and chili flake for Sambol.

Thanks. Yes, you might want to get a good sear, then move it to more indirect heat to come to temp.

If I make extra marinade and want to refrigerate the extra for another time how long will it last in the refrigerator?
Pam, this will last easily a week or longer refrigerated. The acidity from the vinegar will help it keep longer. You can even freeze it if you'd like to keep it longer.
If you want bacon in the oven, what temperature should it be baked at?
Thin-cut bacon typically cooks in 16-20 minutes at 400°-425° F.

Too many ingredients too complicated.
I have gone as far as ghost peppers. I had to move to Tucson to know I love it hot!
I don’t think I will try a Carolina Reaper. I made a salsa that was wickedly hot today. It made my eyeballs sweat! Yes ha.
What do you do with left over marinade does it keep?
It should be tossed, thanks.
