Thanks for sharing Walksnail Avatar VRX experience with your followers!
Great review, thank you for sharing, i just went with Walksnail VRX and going to install it on my Eachine 300O goggles, can't wait.
You would get even better range and penetration if you use different antennas.
It is well known that the Walksnail antenna's are terrible quality.
Still impressive nonetheless
What antennas would you recommend to give a significant improvement?
@@HansBaier TrueRC makes some of the best antennas. Just make sure you get LHCP.
To "get into digital" pricing, you meant if you already have a capable analog goggles, or you're down 500 more for the Walksnail system.
Or you could get the very affordable Skyzone 04L and have analog also as a bonus.
Great to know. Thanks!
When it was right above you it's hardest situation because both VRX and VTX antennas are in blind zone.
Great! I just put the walksnail HD pro camera into your Pavo25 build.
This is awesome man! thx for making this video! How did you make that dampened mount? Seems really handy!
I picked up the fat shark goggle bundle from getfpv with a vtx and lumenier antennas for the goggles for a little over 600 bucks. Was hoping the sale on the goggles wasn't gonna go away before I was able to pull the trigger on it. Lol
Still run analog... Never jumped because of cost. I may have to research thig more.
This couldn't have come at a better time, I have hdzero and it really struggles against wifi, so looking at walksnail as an alternative.
I have the systems you mentioned and they both have their place.
I fly HDZero mainly for fun, as it’s by far the best feeling in the air… but for work or extreme adventuring and penetration environments Avatar kicks my old DJI stuffs butt, O3 is really good too 👍🏻, but smoothness wise Avatar is way better (the reason I got rid of my Goggle 2 and O3) O3 IS better for onboard recording, but Avatar does great for recording for phone consumption, and nothing will beat a proper camera! Ever!
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Avatar system, but changing the antennas will drastically improve performance and tweaking and locking camera settings is pretty important, as noted in this video.
If you want to experiment with lenses, the nano cameras (I mostly use them because sub250) use the fine thread pitch M8 lenses that were primarily used on analog FPV cameras. You likely have a bunch, and experimenting with different glass is always fun for me.
Happy flying! I hope you find what you are looking for! And if possible try before buy.
@@lemonsquareFPV nice to see you're happy with walksnail. Mine is on the way. Just got the o3 and it's awesome. Hard to beat, but I will see. Looking forward to the walksnail 1s vtx on whoops
Did you try it on channel 8? That's above all the wifi channels
@@lemonsquareFPV Oh, I waited for a replay. I registered some time ago on discord. Never used it. How do you know it would have been me? I'll have a look. Thanks
Hey, great video! I'm intrigued - will this setup (Walksnail VRX + Accsoon Seemo + iPhone) actually work? Could you share more about the connection, battery life, HDMI quality, etc.? If it pans out, it could indeed be the ideal minimal setup for those without goggles.
More walksnail content and comparison to O3 pls
Noted!
Using the dji 03 for work but I’m interested in walksnail and what it has to offer, so more vids please! Thanks!
Hows it going. All my quads and whoops are solely for hdzero but im also in real estate and was planning on going a similiar route with the vrx. I was curious, since this video is a bit old, is there a particular cinewhoop frame you prefer for indoor flying that you can reccomend?. Also was curious whats the best walksnail vtx to go with the cinewhoop. Thanks for any feedback
Was the video from the vtx in the drone or from the SD card in the VRX
awesome, do you know much about the caddx moonlight cam, i rlly just am using it as a camera, so just need to power it on.
the walls arent sheet rock.. its
wood panels and plaster. which id imagine worse for reception
Thanks great review
Where did you get your HDMI adaptor lead?
I feel like all of the 60FPS cameras in all digital system’s performance is subpar. 120fps for me and I can’t look back
Very cool
Does it connect to Android Phone I don't use glasses
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect Walksnail Avatar to virtual reality glasses via usb, for example, to Oculus quest 3?
What is the best dji camera for low light flying while still having good picture/resolution during the day
IMO the runcam wasp is one of the best low light DJI cameras available.
So, my dji fpv goggles v2 cant be connected bc theres no hdmi? Or could i use a usb-c to hdmi?
Unfortunately if the goggles don't have HDMI input the VRX module won't work with it.
Change stock antennas on drone they are awful you will see big difference 😉
Are those the FPV One pilot?
yup!
So can that work with anything goggle that have a HDMI port? Like with the sky zone 030 ?
Yup! The Skyzone 030 goggles will work with the VRX module 👍
Did you have it set to like 25mw cuz the distance on that is garbage. Unless I'm missing something lol
No, this is set to 700mw.
I got pretty much the exact same range with my normal DJI Goggles 2 & Air unit setup
I thought these had about a 4km max range? And I thought the DJI was able to push like 10km In perfect conditions
Correct.
Flying in a large house with multiple walls between the goggles and drone are not perfect conditions. Perfect conditions would be LOS above trees or in a large open area.
The more objects the signal has to penetrate through, the less range you will get.
How many mw? Just curious
When I was flying through the house it was set to 700mw
