Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Ending Explained And How it Sets Up Part 2
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 апр 2020
- It's kind of hard to believe that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is finally here. Announced in 2015, it's been heavily requested since 2005 when that snazzy PS3 tech demo was showcased. This may seem like the generation of remakes but Final Fantasy 7 is a very special game. For many, it was their first introduction to the series, an RPG unlike any other at the time. It was also the reason they bought the PlayStation One, even if those gorgeous CG cutscenes weren't the actual gameplay. The story and its characters have come a long way since but their tale remains as timeless as ever.
So you're probably looking at this title and wondering what explanation is required exactly. This is Final Fantasy 7 Remake right? Square Enix has stated multiple times that this is the first part and it only covers the story up till the escape from Midgar. So you'd think this would be the same ending but with some slight twists here and there.
As it turns out, several events are completely new to the story and drastically affect the outcome. The result is Square Enix potentially changing how future events will play out along with the series' continuity as a whole. If you haven't finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then be warned: Heavy, heavy spoilers abound.
Some footage seen here has been used from these RUclips channels. Big thanks to them!

Honestly it would sound too good to be true... And FF7 is my most favorite game of all time. But... I would love to see the sequels go in a direction which would give the player the option to follow the original games timeline or choose to go an alternate timeline. To me honestly that would honor the original and even make it extra exciting. I finished part 1: Midgar yesterday and I loved every second of it.
I think this is actually confirming that we will be able to shape the story and get two or more possible endings by following different paths which would be amazing !
Nah, it's just gonna be a rewrite of the story where Sephiroth joins your party after learning the error of his ways after falling in love with Aeris and the group goes on funny adventures, Cloud dies of dysentery, Barrett marries a Wutai wench to get a mother for Marlene, and the party forgets all about "Saving the Planet" because the Shinra are now corporate sponsors of Avalanche to improve their PR.
Rich Smith LMFAO
I would love too man , this is a great game and I'm kind of mad that the majority of the players are judging this game just for the ending , I mean if you enjoyed
Playing it then square enix did his job
@@libertyprime69 hahaha you mean Square is. Man the similarities of Square bleeding dry the nostalgia of FF7 and not giving us what we want. Fan Boy's need to start a real Team Avalanche. I think I'm gonna start it. to protest this hag of a new retelling.
I just finished the game... and Aerith's line "I miss it. The steel sky." was unique to the English version. She basically said, "I hate the sky." in Japanese..........
I mean it basically means the same thing. She doesn't like being in the open world and likes it better to be inside her little box(Midgar).
I take it as, she's scared of what awaits her, knowing what happens to her "originally"...
@@fernandoaleta9807 Perhaps
It literally has the same meaning, she is scared of the new freedom obtained because they are no longer on tracks, they are in the unknown.
@@CKainn That's what I thought too
I feel that the whispers are a representation of "us" the players or the O.G player who want nostalgia and they are trying to make sure that representation is The Whispers, that why they are making sure the story is exactly how it was supposed to be how we remembered it. But honestly with it being a remake I can see them wanting to change a lot of the free-roaming stuff that we had like the farm house or the towns .
Well, if they had advertised this game as a sequel/spinoff like it actually is instead of a remake, people probably wouldn't have been so anal about it. But when you're remaking a classic, adherence to the original is kind of important because the whole point of a remake is to preserve the original
I agree with the AoF. I found it an interesting way to address that this game is a remake, and by acknowledging it they’re now free to tell a new ff7 story in part 2.
@@Channel4NewsIsGay exactly, people are expecting a remix not a remake. We got a remake , so people need to realize that. A perfect examples is lil nas x, he made a remake to old town road not a remix. The only original part was the chorus, everything else was different. FF7 remake only the beginning was original everything else is free game. It a remake not a remix ( remaster).
@@stayathomefather no, then it's a reboot, they are rebooting FF7, they claim they are remaking it, which is false, given the ending.
i saw it as a metaphor for the fans too. and they have you kill yourself as a boss. xD If they had marketed this as a whole new story i would be fine with it, but i feel i was lied to for 5 years.
"The reunion at hand may bring joy. It may bring fear. But let us embrace whatever it brings... for they are coming back."
This quote from the original trailer makes A lot of sense now.
Wow. You put things together pretty well in a digestible format. Thank you and Goodjob! Looking forward to more content on FF7 Remake! 😀💯
I’m calling it. Sephiroth from AC is the Sephiroth in remake. He wanted to rulle a planet but somehow he managed to go back in time, hence the Whispers.
I thought the at first the whispers were just the Sephiroth clones he had already absorbed, thinking of the reunion scene in the original. Looks like I was completely fuck'n wrong.
@Toked Out the Tribesman shut up stoopid
@Toked Out the Tribesman Go play the original then 😂😂 I guess u are one of the purist of the original game 😂
@@gavinerickson9392 Ummm Gavin, It's is part of the compilation. So it is indeed the same Seph or could have been. The whole idea is that the planet knows that the events of AC Seph can never leave and will continue coming back. Thus the direct scenes from the movie in the remake. By splitting fate they have a chance of stopping the fate Seph has on the original timeline. How and why he knows of the whispers is beyond me. I'm not going to be playing the newer games as I'm not a fan of it's direction or kingdom hearts. Tetsuya isnt the original director he was a storyboard and illustrations in the original. Hironobu Sakaguchi was the showrunner.
Also
BC, CC, THE REMAKE, AC, DOC it's completely and now it has a spin-off compilation.
Soo we were all dooped.
Well in that case it's the missing piece of the shit compilation.
BC, CC, The remake and it's spin-off compilation, AC, DOC
The party members that show up to save Cloud (5:15) are actually selected based on the amount of side quests that you completed on the towns and your affection points with your teammates. In my case, Tifa came first and saved me from the boulder and Aerith came next.
Oh, I'll be dammed. That's really cool.
GamingBolt: "Maybe Tifa dies"
Me: "PLS NO"
Yeah please no. I'm an absolute simp for Tifa
Personally I throughly enjoyed the game from start to finish and I’m excited to see where this goes. It definitely has the capability to fail in the story department and I hope it doesn’t but 95 percent of this game was perfect for me. I think Square should be given the benefit of the doubt to see where all this leads. If it has the spirit of the original then I’m in!
I keep seeing people saying that this isn’t a remake but it clearly is it’s just a remake of the Midgard portion of the game! I feel like the developers gave us the Midgar section to satisfy everyone’s need for a remake but at the end have gone “right guys we have gave you a remake now let us do our thing” This game is a remake setting up a reboot/reimagining.
I am worried about the timelines though. Stamp is clearly different breed of dog in the Zack scene at the end leading me to believe it’s a separate Timeline but I hope they only did that to show the how big the effects of destroying the whispers has on the universe. I love Zack but he has to stay dead in my opinion. At the very most bring out a spin off game based on this timelines Zack! Crisis core 2 anyone? I think the worst of the convoluted stuff is over with and they have just used this to prepare us for the reimagined episodes to come. If I’m wrong and it’s a convoluted kingdom hearts like mess I will be so disappointed but I don’t feel like that’s the direction.
Square definitely could have been more open with what their intention with what the series was but at the same time that would mean they spoil their own game so I can understand why they didn’t. And for people saying it wasn’t worth the price...have you seen resident evil 3 ? That games the same price and it’s beatable in 4 hours! Many games are 40 hours long! Actually many games are less I get that it’s a jrpg n all but come on 😂
I 100% agree with you. It’s nice to see that other people think the same way.
Cameron Pangborn you don’t know what will and what won’t happen yet, and saying it was a trainwreck is absolutely delusional seeing as how well the game did and how the majority of players absolutely loved it.
@@CKainn wait till more and more people finish it then talk about reviews. All of us 'haters' loved the game until the ending. It was a 10/10 until the end. I wouldnt go as fair as saying its a trainwreck but we dont need to wait and see to know thst this shit is off the rails. Even if the rest of the way it stays relatively consistent with the og game, all that does is make the ending of this game an even bigger WTF. The ending was a clear message to the fans, they dont wanna do a remake, they wanna do something completely different. Square has been producing subpar games for a long time, they are now milking their greatest legacy to help sell final fantasy 16-18. That's what this is going to be, ff 16-18 with the characters of 7 to help em sell a few more million copies.
Spot on!
Crisis core 2 would be amazing 💪
Yes! I truly hope Aerith will remain alive, I’m enjoying this remake and excited to see how the story will end up👏🏽
Zack is in a different timeline, the beagle dog that was found everywhere in FF7R is not a beagle in the bag that goes by Zack's legs (they made emphasis on that bag in the animation to make it clear)
I believe that zack will get a new solo game
Then a major event will happen
That zack will be teleported in to
The remake timeline at the end of the game
@@heroeus8173 Crisis Core Remake? Haha
@@Phobos11 i think
It may happen

So it will be
FF7:REMAKE(which is done)
FF7:Crisis core(remade)
FF7:zack fair new game which will
Bring new stuff and an original plot
Then we will have
FF7:remake 2
But i also have to say on one more thing
Zack died in the OG timeline(1997) one
And also in crisis core which is canon to the 1997 version
But a brand can use 1or 2 mascot
Or even multiples as brand logo
Square enix might have try to indulge us in error
Zack might be the zack that we know in
Crisis core
But having a zack in a multi verse
Might be more profitable for square enix
I'm pretty sure it's just an older version of the logo. Barret clearly states that the symbol of Stamp evolved over time. My theory is that by defeating Fate, it opened a rift in the past that somehow saved Zacks life. The past might change as a result that instead of Zack giving Cloud his sword in death, he gave it to Cloud later before leaving Midgar for good. Zack could be waiting for them in Gongaga.....
@@FIGHTER8max yeah it makes sense

@gamingbolt the Zack is from a different world. during that cut scene there is a poster of the Shinra mascot "Stamp". it is a different dog breed from the one you play in the original game. which means there is at least 2 or possibly 3 timelines now. 1) the original game, 2) the remake version, 3) the one where Zack survives his final showdown.
I wonder if they did that just to let us know that because of killing destiny, there is at least a timeline where Zach gets a happy ending with Aerith, and Cloud probably with Tifa. Maybe a spinoff, or "what if" DLC? Who knows.
I hope this is just them explaining canonically the minor changes
Darius Moghaddam yeah i was thinking maybe theyre making tge timelibe thing a new potential spin off for zack or something etc
Maybe the timelines collide at the edge of creation where Sephiroth and cloud were. Sephiroth said eventually their world will be a part of it too so maybe they end up temporarily joining up with Zack for a fight in there where he might not be playable like Red but we help him with his timeline. We know Genesis is still around maybe he becomes the main threat for Zack in his timeline. Could get wacky but I don’t see Zack being involved directly with Cloud’s current world it would conflict with his relationship with Aerith
best explaination i have ever heared so far!
The whispers = internet community , making sure writers don’t go to crazy and change good things about the original
Tony1080p agreed hahahaha they always complain 🤣
They ruined the story by including the whispers
Craig Hunter hush cloud defeated you, you don’t exist anymore, and you won’t hinder the creative minds at SE anymore
Andrew Deng yeah an what we are going to end up with is shitty sub par story telling. But sure at least your simple to please mind, that will consume anything without due criticism will be pleased. It’s idiots like you accepting the horrendous writing we are served that has kept it happening again and again. I hope if they don’t correct what they’re doing that their sales completely crash it’s what they deserve. But sure shame on people like me asking for quality...
@@craighunter9066 I mean, most of the "criticism" you're spouting off is really just subjective opinion. You dislike the ending, ok. But I (and I'll say, most folks who've played this game) really enjoy it and are looking forward to what's to come. Just because you dislike it and aren't willing to give the folks over at SE a chance doesn't automatically make it so that everything they put out in the future is gonna be "shitty sub par story telling," and just because my opinion doesn't match yours doesn't make me an "idiot accepting the horrendous writing we are served that has kept happening again and again," but rather a person who is interested in a story that's driven by creative freedom as opposed to making a glorified PS4 port.
If you want everything to stick to the original, I believe there's actually a really impressive remaster on Steam with full-on voice acting and updated graphics that's either in the works or already there. But I'd still recommend at least giving the new story a chance before writing it off as crap before you've even seen any of it.
Essentially: Sephiroth has pulled a Warrior Within and used the gang to give himself another chance to succeed.
Can't wait to see the Dahaka going after his bishonen ass 'Godsmack music intensifies'
My thoughts exactly. I have the theory that the whispers trio they fight at the end may in fact be our party members from the future. Like their version of the sand wraith.
That'd mean at some point they'd learn to travel in time, use some artifact that converts them in those things, fight and win over the past team, take their places and carry on.
Or could be that the whole last bit was a massive collective hallucination!...
Exactly that’s the most simple way to put it
did he save kalinena though
@@MrReubenTishkoff
I don't think the three whispers are actually the main characters time traveling, just more of a representation of them. That said, they have weapons and moves that are reminiscent of the Remnants of Sephiroth from Advent Children: one-handed sword for Kadaj, two guns for Yazoo, single big fist for Loz. And they combine into Bahamut like Kadaj summoned Bahamut in the movie. I don't know if that's supposed to mean something bigger, but it's a nice reference nontheless.
I love the line of aerith missing the steal sky....its so haunting.it seems shes scared of the outside world
She's answering a quote from Zack
His last inner monologue I mean.
When I first meet her she literally tells you she is scared of leaving midgar
No worries, she now has both Cloud and Zack to rotate around.
@@Ultra_James__T omg lmaooo
Here's a fun theory: The game is called Remake cause Sepheroth is REMAKING the timeline. He has seen the OG timeline. VII, Advent Children, and Crisis Core.(Probably because of being lost in the lifestream, which showed him the future) He knows his original plan was destined to fail. So he pushes Cloud and the gang to kill fate, so he can change his fate and have his plan come to fruition. The next game will not be called Remake II. It will probably be called Resurrection or Reunion. Cloud has been, and will always be, a pawn for sepheroth. When he asks cloud for his strength in the final battle, he knows cloud will say no, sending cloud after sepheroth so that Cloud can bring the black materia to him at the northern crater.
I really dig that theory :)
It's called rebirth now

Yeah same here. I hope next year but highly unlikely. Left me wanting so much more so that's a good sign
Joke is getting really old man. Not even remotely funny anymore
It’s almost as if the Watchmen of Fate are like a meta representation of the fans. As much as I love the original, I’m actually interested in seeing where this goes.
That exactly the impression I got. Me too! ^_^
this was my take on it too. we are the whispers and they have us kil ourselves. i for one, am not satisfied. had they marketed this as a whole new story, it would have been fine. but i feel i was lied to.
Rian Johnson probably loves all the subvert expectations in this game but I don't.
Nobody was asking for a tacked-on final boss battle where you beat the story's big bad in Act 1 and there's some stupid Kingdom Hearts-style meta-reflection on the nature of remakes involving you confronting monsters who are meant to be time-travelling representations of the original game's fans.
What is interesting with Barret was originally was supposed to die in the original but they say that was too easy to see coming so that killed Aerith instead. The fact that Barret was killed in the remake and then brought back to life was an Easter egg to me
Eh, I can get behind it. I have the original ff7 on every platform I can get my hands on. I will always know the story. If they wanna spice things up I will withhold my judgment for after I finish the whole thing. As far as I can tell it's still very enjoyable and I love how fun it is. I don't think it is wrong to diverge but I still would have prefered just a more fleshed out take on the original.
I'm on the same page. As a fan of the original I really enjoyed the remake from start to finish and I really love how much more information we get on even the lesser known characters. I'm totally on board with the direction the developers have taken the game but I'm concerned about what they will do in the next title or two. This whole journey could be incredible and better than the original's storyline or it could be an absolute dumpster fire but I will hold judgement until we get the next and/or final part to the story.
Loved the ending and looking forward to the next
As a fan of the original I really enjoyed it too but that doesn't mean I'm not concerned with what happens next, it could be incredible or terrible haha. I really enjoyed the game though and I'm totally obsessed with all of the new songs :)
Glad someone else is optimistic about the new direction they're taking with this. They are taking a big risk with this but I am really interested to see what happens in part 2 and more.
I also liked the game, includibg the ending. Still i hope they keep to the og story and i think theyll do so. To me it felt like an artistic 4th wall break when the whispers appeared, trying to make events happen as it was in the original. But in total i think they did a pretty good job. After all the og story was not perfectly presented aswell in my opinion, the og game was epic at the time. They are just using state of the art tech to deliver a more explained and detailed story of ff7 in my opinion.
Simple and clean, King Mickey did all this.
Or the Master of Masters xD
I actually saw a theory talking about how this was going to be how they explained FFVII characters being in KH, and while I’m sure it’s not true, but it did make me smile for a moment.

Andrew Butcher I’m not trying to be rude but Nomura directed the project but did not write it. Directing is something different than writing it. Nojima is actually the one who wrote the plot and story.
Well if Zack is alive, I don’t see Aerith falling in love with Cloud. She was attracted to him because she saw Zack in him. She’s in love with Zack. Tifa is the one who loves the real Cloud.
I absolutely agree she waited four years for zack from his original death to the start of ff7 is only weeks apart and tifa is clouds girl no way in hell they not a good choice haha
Mm, Aerith was first attracted to Cloud because he reminded her of Zack. They had a fling when they were teenagers. Her first love. It is indicated in the OG story that despite a few of these similarities, she acknowledges that Cloud is not 100% himself and desires to get to know the real him. Tifa did help him through the lifestream effects, but Tifa and Aerith both love Cloud as Cloud. They’re both fine lovers for Cloud tbh. It is unfortunate that Aerith dies, but their tragic story is what makes FF7 so beloved.
Yeah, Cloud even had that dream or whatever it was where Aerith asks him not to fall in love with her. I'm usually very apprehensive when alternate timelines get involved, but I'm willing to give the developers the benefit of the doubt.
Aerith said Going forward, not backward. In real life, it's a good thing that gives up the bad past and then moves forward. I'll understand to give this gal a chance to find new love.
Still jessie is waifu hahaha
I don't understand why every story has to be so convoluted nowadays.
No one in this dimension would have complained if this was a remake with slight alterations. Noooo, we need to bring it together with the original where characters consist of 10 polygons and have hooves instead of hands 🤦♂️
Its because most people and critics will usually say its a cliche so writers make their story convoluted to cover the "cliche" in their story.
And whats wrong with a major upgrade in graphics?
@@enriquepowers Does that make convolution a new cliche?
It would be boring if you have thesame plot/story etc. with just the upgraded graphics.......where’s the suspense and the surprise factor in that??????????? So when i see the b1tching about the plot........go back to ps1 😪

I loved playing through this game and the changes kept it more than just interesting! I really like how going into pt2 we are seemingly left with a blank slate, we can except the unexpected. There's a lot they can do with this story and the reimaging of it now! I can't wait to see what's next! hopefully we don't have to wait too long...
Thanks for this.
I really don't like the direction this is taking. When they announced a remake, I thought that's what they meant. There's really no way for people who haven't played the first one to pick up on the hints mentioned in this video about the whispers. I wanted a new way to enjoy the original story, not a confusing extension to the origins of the series. This is fan fiction, not a remake. He really Nomura'd this one, that's for sure.
Same. Someone must have expierienced a bit of Mako-poisoning while rewriting this.
Nope!!!! This is awesome with the plot twists. What’s the point of playing thesame, game, story, plot just for an upgraded graphics????? That’s dumb and nothing surprising. FUQ I wouldn’t put aerith in the party then if she’s gonna die in the first place( her exp, weapons, etc would be a waste) i did that in the first game 🤣. What i am saying is the suspense is awesome, it keeps you thinking and surprised. It would be boring asf when you already know what’s gonna happen......aerith dies, sector7 is gone, biggs, wedge, jessie dead, zach dead.
@@pjjulian5243 It's one thing to change up things, but to me the ending was just too much and bizarre. It takes away from character development and so on. But everyone has different taste.
@@pjjulian5243 And that's your opinion. It doesn't negate mine. I wanted a remake or a re-imagining. The original game, despite its flaws, felt more grounded. The world makes sense. The existence of magic is explained in a believable way. Here, it's getting in to spooky split timeline territory, which rubs me the wrong way.
In the original, I still put Aerith in my party in subsequent playthroughs, because I like her as a character. It doesn't matter to me what happens to her further along in the story.
These changes ruined it for ME. If you like the changes, then enjoy it. I will be here in the corner coping with my own disappointment.
@@pjjulian5243 then it's stupid argument , i wonder why people still LOVE RE2 REMAKE? or shadow of collossus ?,arent that game boring by your definition? because it didnt changes the story? BTW that was exactly what people wanted from remake .

And it's not boring , it's not the surprising twist that what makes people love it , but how they handle it
Just imagine the possibilities and replayability the 2nd part might have. How cool and painfully sad would it be if your choices in the game end up with Aerith or Tifa getting stabbed by Sephiroth, or maybe neither of them die. Or what if suddenly Cloud starts to disappear, because the timeline has been altered and you end up playing with Zack. Thoughts like this make me excited to continue this unknown journey!

There's so many people complaining about the original story being changed, which is not. To those who don't get it, this game is most likely an alternate dimension. That means everything from the original did indeed happen. What people theorize is that the visions everyone has are visions of the future if everything happened exactly like the original. I personally like where they are going with this. Adding time travel to a game does not make it a bad game automatically. I think we should wait until the next games to really decide whether adding alternate dimensions and time travel was a good idea or not. However, like most people, I also hope they don't make it too much like KH.
@Cameron Pangborn I agree with you on that. That's the problem I had. Most people think the story was changed when in reality it's not really a remake. However, I think the game was still pretty good in my opinion.

When the Sector 7 plate falls we see Cait Sith for a second so we know he will still come into play some how. I'm very excited to see what the future holds. This game has been a riot and I hope we get a road map of the other games soon (even if it's talking about years off)
Cat Sith was standing over Midgar when Sector 7 Plate collapsed. In the cutscene. That also blew my mind.
You've got this all wrong, the past hasn't been rewritten, Zack is still dead in this universe.
However where you saw zack alive was indeed another alternate reality, another FF7 universe, By killing the whisper entity you have allowed destiny to be changed from that point on, not what has already happened.
The whisper entities are not time machines, noone has travelled or altered the past or the future, mainly allowed for destiny to take a different course.
these are not the topics of conversation i wanted to come out of this project lol overly complicated and convoluted rubbish

And there are they to make sure the event happen like they are suppose to like they did in the original but they would have to know the past preset and future for them to know what to change and not change and at this point we don’t know what timeline they won’t because they walked through a portal to fight the king of the destiny creatures and you never see them come out Barret even makes a comment they it looks exactly the same and let’s say they are not in the same timeline as the one Zach lives in what’s stoping them from crossing into it clearly they can go into other dimensions you do it when you fight the boss. But look at it from the development side of it why would they go through so much showing you zack showing him living and showing arerith’s connection with him if he isn’t going to be in the next game in some shape or fashion
I'm actually fine with what they did. Sure, they are changing A LOT, but as a fan of the original and having played through it like a dozen times, I am completely fine with them making this a "what if" kind of story. If I want the original story, I own the game on like 3 platforms, I don't mind having something new as long as it follows the "spirit" of the original.
Now sure, I can see peoples complaints about a remake doing something completely different, but I just do not have a massive problem with it. Sure, if they screw it up and turn it into something that completely feels out of place when it comes of original FF7 lore, I will complain just as much as the next guy, but so far, I am interested in what they are going to do.
I do share your fears of them making the game lore "too complicated" but then again, I would not mind getting some deeper lore on things like Jenova, Professor Gast, WEAPONS, Ancients etc. I hope that's what they have planned, just giving us more story on already existing things in the universe instead of implementing in new shit. Hell, we saw how well that worked in Dirge of Cerberus.
I love the remake as a game, but I get a little put off when alternate timelines get involved. But it is interesting to see what they are doing with it nonetheless. Hopefully, it makes more sense in part 2. Maybe this is all just Sephiroth messing with Cloud's mind or something, and these visions are all just possible futures. Somehow maybe the original story still plays out.
Finally someone who is embracing its potential and not just crying in the corner like a burthurt child who didn't recieve chocolate for Easter.
That's fine for you but what about the 99% of people who buy this game expecting it to be a remake, but it's a reboot? I guess that's a win for the 1% of people who bought the game but didn't want what was advertised.
@@ImTheKingOfHyrule feel free to show the gallup poll I assume you did to get those percentages. Don't try to claim what the majority wants just to push your own opinion.
And guess what, there's a simple solution: don't like the direction the remake is taking? Don't buy the second one.
This isn't a what if scenario, the events of the original are referenced in remake
Like sephiroth knows what happens in the original timeline
So its still cannon, really cannon
I need part 2 right now!!!!
I was so excited to see red XIII as he is my favourite character but was heartbroken when he wasn’t a playable character in battle :’(
Lol same here. I didn’t keep up on any previews to avoid spoilers so I just assumed Red XIII was playable. When he first came up on the screen I got all giddy with excitement. Then SE stabbed me in the heart 😭
The scene with Biggs in bed, you can see Jessie's gloves on the table.
They destroyed all sense of tragedy. Even fucking Marle lives! And Zack. I bet they’re exploring a situation for Aerith to also live. This re-scam destroyed all sense of motivation and tragedy the classic was iconic for.

It is actually kinda the same game, up until the end. Which complicates things so unnecessarily. Even though I really liked it, but is Nomura being Nomura. That guy really likes to make things complicated, huh!
they can't judge the game based off this game properly they only know to complain and say what happened to muh story
Ben Dover well, I love the original game and I’m not mad at it. But there’s already some backlash because they say it isn’t a remake anymore. Regardless, I really enjoyed it
Fighting Sephiroth this early is already a huge mistake. Damn guy should be a creepy mysterious presence and still just in the background. Which is the whole point of the meeting at Kalm. To enlighten everyone using Cloud's vague memories of him and slowly build up his mythos as a powerful antagonist for later on. Lets see how they handle that now.
@@libertyprime69 Well just wait and see what would they do I think they are building up for something good well at least I hope so.
@Fleer Ultra Ima laugh my ass of soo much if this would somehow make u eat your words but whatever
Basically it's going for the "Player choice" route, you can choose go the path of the original storyline, or go the path of an alternate storyline. It satisfies both fans of two different options.
Whatever the devs r doing I’m going along for the ride n I think it’s dope! I been waiting for years n years n years to engage with this story again. I been a hardcore ffvii fan my entire life n I like this
A good time to see lucrecia, vincent, weiss, nero, genesis integrated into the main story line.
Deepground in main game would be cool.
you could have done all of this without adding kingdom hearts shit tho
@PHONOGRAPH I'm confused. How is defeating the physical manifestation of destiny through the power of friendship, not cheesy??
@@Javetts they beat it with swords and guns.

I just hope they explicitly explain the references, connections and possible changes to Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus...in the other parts for newcomers.
Explain what fate they are fighting against. And if it is a sort of continuation, show properly what happened in the original.
I'm thinking they are talking about jenova in it's original form (just a theory), remember in the original game You fougth her in "parts".
Nomura should be fired and exiled from the gaming community for the Barrett scene alone, disregarding all the absolute bullshit he pulled with the entirety of Kingdom Hearts and now one of the most beloved IPs in all of gaming. I've never witnessed something so downright disrespectful.
I think the Barret scene was a stab at the original idea that Barret was suppose to die instead of Aerith.
Based on an interview from a few years ago, it sounds like the goal with this remake series is to try to recreate the feeling of playing the original game back in the 90s, as opposed to just trying to remake the game itself. It's an ambitious goal, and there's reason to be worried they'll turn it into an even more convoluted mess, but so far, they've done a pretty great job in my opinion.
I love the story of ff7 why change it. Zacks death is important to the story dont bring him back because hes popular.
Don't worry. It'll all make sense when Aerith doesn't die, too.
He's popular exactly because he was so lovable and died.
Michael Richards that’s Nomuras writing for you, hell just revive everyone and won’t kill any characters.
Hey, alternate timelines are a thing. It could work as playing in two alternate realities. One is Cloud’s World and the other Zack’s World, where he survived. Play the same OG plot as Cloud and a new reimagined one with Zack taking Cloud’s place.
@@atlasgraham154 they'll probably kill tifa instead.
They played us like a damn fiddle!
the whispers represent the old square enix trying to maintain the original storyline, that sounds kind of genius lol
The potential is insane
If Tifa dies i ll give the game zero rating
Agreed thatd be retarded to kill her off but this is his assumption i doubt developers would even think about doing that
Naaa I hope to be able to choose to not save aerith or tifa and that way get 2. Endings
I doubt that she will.
Spoiler Arieth dies
I think it’s time they kill Barret instead of the girls 😹😹
I have no idea where this is going but im scared and excited at the same time. I love and hate the changes. Time will tell
I was in shock that the game was that short.
Finished the game and definitely looking forward for the 2nd part. Curious of how that will turn out
Im not a fan of the alternative timelines if they are really going with the different routes etc fiasco.. if they change the og story of ffvii then what happens to all the content produced after it (advent children etc).. ?? The story, with character deaths, is what made it special.. just retell it, in a way that all the other stuff would be included.. but dont stray from the og story...
All goesdown the tube and they get to make more content for us to buy like suckers!
Biggs' death was pretty important in the original too as it challenged the party's conviction.
@E N O C H That's about all we can do, cautiously go forward. For what it's worth, the Remake is great, and all of the added story details and recontextualizations are great, it's just this time travel nonsense that is bad. We will see.
@E N O C H eunuch yeah such an accomplisment that you played the og game bahahaha
@SomeGuy But I he'll never be a memory.
I hope the second game in the remake trilogy is called 'Final Fantasy 7-2: Time Ghosts Coast to Coast'
I see alot of rage that it's not the exact same game.. I loved the original back in the 90s and I will always have that game. I'm excited to see where they take this and Aerith said it best, it's scary not knowing what happens next..but freeing at the same time. I love that this builds off of the original instead of just retelling it. Not all original fans hate this ending and new beginning
Can’t wait to play part 2 in 27 years from now
If Zack is alive there has to be an interaction with Cloud. I think Aerith and Zack together will make the ultimate sacrifice in the end
Setting the stage for them to correct fate to take down sephiroth.
Also if Zack is still alive, how does he still have the buster sword since he gave it to cloud!
It will be a big surprise that Zack is actually under disguise as Roche.
Emmitt Robinson time lines get intertwined.. I honestly think zack will pop up at the end of the actual full game,. Aerith and zack will sacrifice themselves and finally be together, while entering the life stream and saving the planet. I also think the sephiroth in this game is the same from advent children, not the actual sephiroth but a distraction by jenova. Hence the battle at the end of this game. Sephiroth expecting omnislash and what’s to come. He is using bare bones cloud as a pawn. Either he wins this time or 2 people will die. People are dogging on this remake, but not realizing square is trying to sew in 20 years of ff7 history/lore. They are not only doing justice to the ps1 iteration but the entire franchise. Movies, side games etc. It makes sense, and does ff7 justice. 130+ hour story mode, over multiple sections, wrapping everything into one package. I truly believe when it’s all said and done, this will be on par with the original, for being original.
Satans 0nion Zack And Aerith are already together in the life stream. There’s nothing original about this (so far). It’s got NoTalentMura and Kingdom Sharts written all over it. I posted earlier hoping that these games are HOPEFULLY all of clouds visions as he’s trying to collect himself while him and Tifa are in the lifestream. The whisperers are there to keep cloud on track so he can get out. Sephiroth being there is simple because he’s already tainting the lifestream and is trying to completely take over cloud. I hope that’s the direction they’re pushing. Not this alternate timeline crap. It’s been overdone in so many movie and game titles this last decade that there’s absolutely nothing original about it.
my interpretation is that the whispers are the old fanbase trying to force the developers to make a remake that is actually a remake instead of a re-imagining.
And you know what that means? We get a cameo, guys! WOOHOO!
Lol they see us as dementors.
@@Gnostic88 lol facts
Nahh, i played the og but im more excited with the remake's outcome and how the story will turn this time. Just DONT let Tifa die. I like her more than Aerith.
It's almost as if the game is called Final Fantasy 7 Remake...
The ending blew my mind. Gave me the change I wanted and even more. The feeling I had playing this game was like knowing how the story plays out in a manga years in advance but waiting on the anime to catch up. Just wondering where the season will end...that’s the only unknown. I enjoyed the filler like going to Jessie’s house and the train graveyard but in the end the whispers kept everything in line. Now that they are gone the second can get even more wild. If the whispers were around for part 2 they would make sure the party visits everywhere in the same order make sure the don’t meet people before they are meant to like them pushing aerith away from cloud in the beginning. Maybe she attempted to join the party right there but the whispers said nope. Cloud wouldn’t have fell through the roof if the whispers didn’t make him go on that mission. For all we know Rufus could be a party member because the whispers are not there to stop him.
Just finished the game today. General thoughts are I enjoyed it and thoroughly enjoyed the expanded parts. Changed parts made me nervous...real nervous.
My theory is that sephiroth traveled back in time after his last line "I will never be a memory" and when the planet Gaia understands what he is about to do, she sends the spirits of her will to stop what he'll do
It's very cool. I'm excited to see the way it's played out.
I'm honestly really disappointed they went the whole "alternate timeline" route. Didn't they say before the game released that the main story is unchanged?
The original story is unchanged, but the remake is an ''altered timeline'' of the original. The evidence is the flashbacks the party gets during the final fight, and red XIII said that these are memorys of ''what would happen tomorrow if we fail'' so basically this ''altered timeline'' has zack and aerith alive, which I think we should give the devs a chance to express on this more
Jason and Jerry I think the game on its own is an amazing work of art, but I get apprehensive when alternate timelines get involved. But like you said, I'll give the developers the benefit of the doubt and see what they come up with. I can definitely appreciate a new experience. I guess we'll see how it ties in once part 2 eventually comes out.
Yeah, it is called "deception".
Square Enix deceived us all, making us believe that this Remake was actually going to cover the original main story, but this is actually a different timeline, which will leave the original story untouched. So stupid.
@@23--jasonchen42 Except this is called a Remake and they said they were going to remain faithful to the original. Changing Aerith and Zack's fates will be undoing a lot of the impact that makes the original FF7 so special. FF7 is a tragic story about a group of people who lose a lot but give it their all in order to stop Sephiroth from destroying the universe. A happy ending is not what FF7 is about.
if you look closely, the story itself didnt change, SE just added some cool events like the Dementors sh*t to make us feel curious in the game just like the OG on what about to happen next. 😊
Advent Children Sephiroth time travelled back to warn himself that he will lose. Hence the change of timeline. Whispers are the 4th wall mechanics that represents us, the gamers that wants the OG timeline. And also OG Aerith also travelled back to warn herself. The remake Aerith knows too much when she's speakinh at the end of the highway... It's so much convoluted!! Dammit Nomura!
Or they're both Cetra
I love the new twist in the story
I respect them going for something new and special but I’m selfish. I don’t like it, I wanted FF7 but updated to look nice and modern NO big changes. Here we are however so I guess I’ll just have to accept it and hope they still keep the feel and quality of the original but better.
I'm selfish too, then. It was possibly selfishness that caused them to not stay true to the plot but tried to transcend it by undermining it. That would be selfish. The selfless thing is to emphasize the original tale by adding material that would increase the impact of what happens. Developing characters more and stuff like that. They were doing a good job of it until the last chapter it seems. Then the train went off the rails. I guess there is gettin offa dis train that we're on....
FF7 was sad like really sad with this zack not dying aerith maybe not dying, this fucks up so many ways of clouds character this made cloud who he was the past 23 years
I feel like wayyy too many people are not keeping four things in mind which definitely should be done before getting too worried or in their head
1. The original will always gladly exist so there is no way that even the worst endings could ruin that
2. Video games are still video games not books or movies or shows you as the player are playing this game so as much as the story matters there will always be the gameplay as well which no one ever seems to bring up, basically if you like the gameplay hey at least the game was fun
3. The next part is being made now so while square is working on it they can change their direction and get a feel for what the public wants which is why I believe they took such a risk in the first place because it was at the end of the first part allowing them to get feedback and reactions
And finally 4. If you don’t like this game at all you probably thought it was hard or too easy or boring or paced poorly but none of that is affected by the ending the only people that I see really complaining about the ending either didn’t play the game (which is its own weird problem) or realllly liked the game until being taken aback by the end so if anything shouldn’t an 8 or 9/10 that missed the landing be a good sign for the future like everyone who complains or is worried always says something like “it was perfect until...” which just shows that you thought the game was amazing therefore you can keep your head up and look forward with that same standard
In the last fight I had Aerith and Tifa. I see Barret and Tifa in everyone else’s gameplay
same
I had Barret and Aerith 🤔
Maybe there is a way to determine who is joining the fight when?
Depending on some prior choices in the game?
I had Tifa and Barrett
Same I had Tifa and Aerith. Maybe the alterations are based on character level, stats or how much you used each character
I had Tifa and Aerith. I think it depends if you do the side quests or not.
When it was happening while I was playing I was like wtf but now that I went back to all the scene with the whispers it made sense and was kind of cool.
Regardless where they go in terms of story, I’d love to be able to have Sephiroth as a playable character for some amount of time. He’s got such a frightening and powerful presence. In the original, playing as him in the past was pretty badass even if it’s just for a little bit.
I’m actually very intrigued by the ending and can’t wait to see what the “ Unknown journey” is. I have to say that I really am disappointed by the fandom and community however. People put their heart and soul into working on this, they spent hours and days to make something new and exciting for us. The characters and world are not ours and they never will be. We need to embrace change and if they pull of this new story we can enjoy this as a separate entity from the OG. I also appreciate fans of the OG who are excited for what’s to come and are willing to understand that this is different. You don’t have to like the game and you have the right to have an opinion but being toxic instead of trying to understand the overarching story they are trying to make isn’t going to fix what you don’t like .
outside of toxicity in criticism, people putting effort into this does not necessarily make that effort good, so the underlying criticism can still be valid. the ending is storytelling quality of kingdom hearts. good reason to be scared about future changes.
Jeah metacritic hovering around 8 is a joke for this gaming by the community. Should be way higher. It is a great game
I understand the changes. My only concern is that I don't want it to become like Disney where everyone get their happy endings. Real life is not that simple and FFVII as far as I understand it tried to depict lost in a realistic way that I never ever felt more beautiful in any other stories that I know (you can disagree because it is a subjective comment). Cloud struggles in the original make me connect with him amd him overcome his problems is what I find the most admirable. If they took that away I am afraid I will not recognize these characters anymore.
Geneviève Laplace imao if u want sad ending to watch Shakespeare, this is fucking game and the whole purpose of a GAME is for people to enjoy themselves not feeling like shit afterwards
kaka it’s a narrative driven game you moron!
I would like to see a "Xenogears" remake.
Hopefully they remake the entire game in one shot, don't think I would stand it if they split it in parts and I die before I can destroy Urobolus in glorious HD.
@@josephcross8464 Square enix will just fuck it up. I have no hope for them lol
Tactically you fight something from Xenogears in world of Final Fantasy
The wont remake anything ever again in the future if toxic ff7 fans ruin it for everyone. The ff7 remake has to be very successful for them to remake something else. What fans should be doing is supporting them, not hacking them down for every little thing they dont like. Problem is a lot of “fans” want perfection or nothing
Best RPG of all time! 😍
I've been thinking that things that still exists even if they try to alter the destiny.
- How Sephiroth said that together with Cloud he will defy destiny, meaning that it has not yet been changed.
- Considering current time what are still present:
- Temple of Ancients that itself is black materia. Considering how Sephiroth needed it to summon meteor even though he had all the knowledge through lifestream means that black materia is somehow special or different compared to regular magic.
- Holy is needed to counter the meteor magic which was presumply activated through sacrifice(not that it was really stated in the game).
- At the end Sephiroth wanted all the mako he could get and Hojo gladly helped him woth the mako cannon. Which propably means that mako somehow disturbs lifestream.
- Jenova is present and it's reunion too and seems that this reunion competes against lifestream and works as Sephiroth's extension while he has no complete body to call his own.
- Shinra working for their own goals and putting blame on AVALANCHE.
- Planet's own self-defense mechanism called WEAPONS and these didn't differentiate between friends or foes.
- Cloud's own journey to accept himself or discover himself.
- Big materias
It makes sense since the Arbiters tried to stop Wedge from escaping Sector 7 while saving Barret's life after Sephiroth stabbed him, and getting in the way when Tifa tried to disarm the plate system, they could also try to get in the way in the Ancient City when Cloud tries to save Aerith, if they succeed in stopping him will remain to be seen.
kurisu7885 you miss the video or something? The whole big heartless battle was to stop the Arbiters from ever interfering again. They will never try to stop anything now because there is no longer a fate to preserve. Honestly the whole thing was ok to me until it turned into this advent children boss rush. The game could have ended right as they crossed over and the cutscenes could have stayed the same except for zack and it would have been better.
If they kill Tifa instead of Aerith I’m gonna remake FFVII myself. I think Nomura knows better tbh. Nah but for real tho if Zack is back and alive in this new timeline, say goodbye to Aerith x Cloud fans because even they know what’s about to happen
At least has Jessie :D
kill Cloud this time... haha
Some cheeks will hit
In that case Zack better be deader than a doornail or I’ll have to do it myself. Some corpses should be left well alone.
Myles O'brien nah fuck that, zack and Aerith was a better couple than Aerith cloud.....@ me
I’m calling it now, Zack is that #2 Sephiroth “clone” that the whispers prevented Cloud from approaching at Shinra HQ. In the original, when Cloud gets his mako headaches Zack talks to him. In the remake, Zack voice is no longer there. I wouldn’t be shocked if Zack is a villain and kills Aerith. To add, I wanna see Vincent Valentine as Sephiroth father. Hojo is unacceptable
I could accept Zack being that number 2 clone. But I wonder how much it’s going to change the original story
It will be much better if Roche is Zack in disguise.
Lai KL lmfao what?
so a totally different story to the original then
People have speculated for over 20 years that Vincent is really Sephiroth's father. It's not a bad theory, as Sephiroth looks a lot more like Vincent than Hojo. Also explains why Hojo had no love for his wife or Sephiroth.
I enjoyed the game and can’t wait till the next part. I just hope it doesn’t take too long but on the other hand it isn’t rushed and looses the quality
it's actually possible to get different combinations of party members for the final battle. Also just look at it this way, whatever happens let's just hope that we all enjoy it
I'm just imagining that Zack, he will be BIG part of the remake, for instance rescuing Cloud in Mideel. just saying.
To me, I don't mind changing the story. It's like a book to me, and It's a GAME and not a Disney Movie. Square really do like that kind of stuff about changing timelines and FATE. Same from other games before.
I do really like this Remake. I'm going to buy the second part of the Game...
So u give disney movies a pass for fucked up movies? Fuck u and fuck star wars episode 8. Nvr again comment on anything again
I have mixed feelings about what this ending implies for the rest of the game's story. I think they could have simply made a remake with the exact same story and events as the original while expanding on parts to add depth and intrigue. But at the same time I love the story, world and characters so much that if they want to basically make a new or different story I can't wait to see it. Ultimately I think the developers realized when writing the remake that since 1997 so many different ways of changing and expanding the story had been thought of so they just had to do it. And if it means we get more Zack then I'm all for it.
Malcolm Devlin I️ appreciate your position but this is exactly why game developers do these kinds of stunts. Players like you are still willing to purchase these games even after it was transformed to something not representative of what people actually wanted. It’s this same mentality that convinces these companies, that already only care about gaining your money, to dish out half finished games (or in this case only 10% finished games) and that 10% changed from the story line. It’s a problem in the gaming industry and particularly plaguing SE. That entire company needs to overhaul their staff and Nomura needs to stop writing story. He can’t write. Someone inform him.
@@GG-yy4yx Idk man to me they've proved themselves to me at least that they are capable of writing good story's and this game to me is a huge example. So I personally trust that they can write a good story out of this. Even if at time it is complicated and somewhat hard to understand.
@Cameron Pangborn Well since this story probably exists on a different timeline to the original you don't have to worry about Zack's backstory being different because its not the original Zack. Plus his death isn't his backstory, its literally the end of his life. All I'm saying is I'm excited to see what different takes they do with the characters we know from the original and any characters they want to add too. Its a new story that can really go anywhere. As a fan you can be annoyed that its not the true remake you wanted. But clearly this is some kind of sequel type thing so why aren't you excited to see where this goes. Just like when the original first came out, we didn't how the story would play out and we don't know how this one will either.
It’s crazy that you can have different party member for the sephiroth battle. I had tifa and aerith with me and barret showed up at the end
I understand this a bit better but for all the changes I can't help but be happy knowing that there is a canon story where Zack makes it out even if its getting weird
but if zack is alive, that means that sector 7 should've never been destroyed, since the only reason rude could destroy it, was cloud being stopped by the whispers, barret should also be dead, since he was not supposed to be killed by sephi, but since they killed the whispers, they changed the past, so he should be dead, and the whole team should be dead, since they were saved by the whispers when shinra exploded the bridge above their head in the bike chase.......how can someone write a story this fucking shit no offense
Its entirely possible that the arbiters exist along with time itself. Meaning that barrett's being saved did happen, but it won't happen again since the arbiters are now defeated
@@smokinhotpizza405 that would be the logical way, but it would also mean that zack should still be dead, because he died in the past, alongside biggs, i mean its possible that both of them are still dead in the next game and this was just some kind of vision or something, but that would mean that the entire part about zack and biggs was pointless and it was a shameless fan-service to make the fans buy the next part to find out what happened
@@yagokain4189 The zack part is quite confusing tbh, but maybe they can explain Biggs survival by saying that he was supposed to die not after the plate fell but long after, perhaps by being rescued and later dying at the orphanage. Without the whispers to ensure his death, he can survive. But that's honestly way too complicated
Zack is dead, what we saw was a separate timeline. It was there to show us that we opened up new possibilities, and in one of them he was alive. Zack is still dead in our game.
@@CKainn that is one of the most retarded and childish thing to do with the story, but i guess that wouldnt fuck up the story entirely
But on the real, they lied about this being a remake. You make enough changes on this scale and it’s a Reboot at best lol
Every area, monsters, boss, Story plot, and event happens in the same order. ALL OF IT. No REBOOT does that.
They added a new twist ending with several hints to it through out the game, and give a reason to try new ideas so they aren't stuck just making exactly what fans expect and just being a boring retread.
It’s not a reboot by literal definition of the word. Just because you don’t like something, doesn’t change what a word means. If you don’t like changes or so on then that’s completely fine. There is no right or wrong when it comes to opinion and taste. However by your logic Resident Evil 2 remake is a reboot. You’re opinion doesn’t change what a remake, reboot and remaster are. I think the term re-imagining would be better suited however. Also it is implied that Wedge dies in the Shinra HQ. Unless you mean Biggs? In which case there’s no saying he didn’t wake up. Although I admit we can assume from things like Advent Children that he definitively died. But the life or death of a no mark that has no bearing on the story doesn’t make it a reboot I’m afraid. If you want a reboot then you look at 2013 Tomb Raider or Tomb Raider Legend and Underworld or the new Modern Warfare over the original trilogy. A remake like Spyro, RE 1,2 and 3. And a remaster Modern Warfare 1 and 2 remasters.
I think the reap reason the split it into parts is they had no development plan and also couldn't figure out how to implement the world map in the current version of the game engine.
remake isn't completely faithfull remaster is with better graphics so yeah nobody lied
Actually, it's mostly a faithful remake. The ending just made major changes but not until the ending. Before the last 1/5th or so of the game, it's the same game
No matter what they choose to do I'm excited about it either way.
I love the Remake and all. It's really amazing! One thing that really got to me is Zack surviving. I mean, he's a big part of Cloud's character in the game. Making him live wasn't necessary in my opinion.
"Either you die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Nonetheless, I'm excited on how they will use this new timeline in the 2nd and 3rd part.
Im super excited to see their plans with zack and how itll change the story
Final Fantasy VII is a story masterpiece. The original game from Playstation 1 has very complicated long "story" that you could not understand it without seeing it through the characters perspective. Suggesting that these complications actually meant that their future "were" actually be made through "choices". Most events in the original game are very sad but "should have been" prevented if persons in the game choose it not too! I am not actually an avid fan of Shakesperean literature. They are not bounded by the original game story. Choices should be made to make it good for everybody. I suggest this time has happy ending for everyone (I mean including Aerith) not a thing to ponder into and sacrifice (a bad choice!) to save a planet. But she should live while saving it! There should be a choice: if and what if. Destiny is different from fate.
Did anyone not noticed how sketchy was Aerith during the whole game? Allowing Cloud to see the Whispers just after touching her. Or like knowing Tifa would ask to save Marlene without anyone ever mentioning Marlene before. Or touching Marlene to calm her down like she gave a glimpse to her of how everything will turn out alright but asking to keep as a secret (a later Marlene keeps from revealing what she feels and knows about Aerith to Barret). Or knowing Red was a friend and giving him consciousness by a touch. And how about Tifa constantly asking Aerith to tell what she is not telling them.

It's not just a wink that ep.2 isn't ready to be put out, in-universe it means that what's going to happen has never happened before, it's a new timeline that is in the process of being created.
Basically telling the audience that we shouldn't expect events to play out exactly like the original game from here on out.
So that means Sephiroth of the remake timeline is still frozen in that volcano. Hmmm i smell a boss fight vs 2 Sephiroths.
OMG , even worth , Sephiroth is gonna fuse with sephiroth and it will give .... Sephiroth 2.0
@@startocommandor94 no more One Winged Angel, but *Two* Winged Angel, either Sephiroth 2.0 has an actual pair of wings or Sephiroth 2.0 actually gained another Right wing
@@chestertamayo1894 well he does have 7 wings in his final form at the end of ff7 original so why not
7 Seconds its the time Cloud had to save aerith before sephiroth impale her
Bruhh, I am down for that
Nah this time they don't stop Cloud from killing her, NOW THAT would be a shocking change to compare to the original.
how about Cloud knew that hint, he hung up the sword is actually him trying to intercept Sephiroth, but the ghosts stop him to let the original timeline stay intact.
I believe that its zack who will
Save aerith
On this one
But what did he really meant by 7 seconds
I think seph will give him
To choose between aerith and tifa
I am surprised by the negative response to the ending as a mega fan myself. I absolutely loved it. If you have concerns about the 'Nomurafication' of the game, I would reassure you by asking you to play the game again. There are SO MANY clues as to the direction they are going, from the types of music they choose to play at a particular time, and the lyrics to the song 'Hollow,' the specific words chosen by Aerith... the painstakingly precise efforts into attention to detail and clues here gives me hope that they really will do justice to this insane ending in part 2. I thought the ending was a playful piece of meta-narrative, and cleverly executed, if not a bit 'too much.'
Read the lyrics to the Hollow song and you'll see their intentions pretty clearly: I would be lost
Drifting along
Floating up high
Time after time
And there you’d be
Shining brightly
Your smiling face
To guide my way
Bloody and bruised
Brought to my knees
When beaten down
When broken up
You would appear,
Reach out to me,
Heal every wound,
And make me whole
Was it all a dream?
Will I never know?
Foolish and blind
To everything
Had I realized,
Had I thought it through,
Would you be here in my embrace?
Shine bright once more
Guide me to you
Smile bright once more
This time I will never let you go
With your every smile
Hiding something more
Dark mysteries
Lurking beneath
But I was consumed
With this emptiness
This selfishness
This void to fill
Hear me once more
Show me your smile
This time for sure
I’ll see the truth hidden inside your tears
But I… I know
That you’re long gone
But I… I will…
Go on howling and hollow

They are clearly going to set this up so that Cloud tries to save Aerith... and there may be some difficult choices involved !
I Like the Idea With the new Timeline
