Yeah Adrien really (unfortunately) isn’t an important character in this show. His father is the villain but instead of focusing on his relationship to his father or having Adrien being the main focus instead the writers focus on some random stalker who is obsessed with a boy who didn’t really like her in a romantic sense till he decided to finally give up on the girl he was obsessed with.

I'm glad "Queen Redux" (best "Miraculous" fanfic out there) fixed Ladybug and Astruc's betrayal against Chloé. Respectful of the source material, only fixing the most problematic elements of the script...Most "Miraculous" fanfics turn out to be merely some sort of AUs. I might still read those. But until then, I'd like to also try and remain loyal to the source material, with only a tinge of denial to it, but not too much.
As much as I love that Chloe, Adrien and Marinette are very good friends, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth how much you sidelined Alya and Nino, especially Alya. Alya was a pivotal role in the main show when it came to Marinette and at least during S1 actued as a voice of reason for Marinette. Seeing her not only not have that with Marinette but also get sidelined as a hero and a person (with how much she believed Lila even thought she’s proven to be very intelligent and savvy) it left a weird taste in my mouth. Also wouldn’t Alya and Nino get bullied by Lila by associating with Marinette?
Oh god I HEAVILY agree on that! I was super disappointed in how they were just dismissed from around season 2 given how nicely their characters were built up in the original story. Aliya being voice of reason for Marinette and being that extra boost of confidence for her to achieve her best whenever Tikki wasnt available was erased for most of the rewrite and I found myself asking where the hell she was half the time. And like Nino's supportive attitude! When he was akumatized because he wanted to throw a party for Adrian because of how isolated he was all the time but was turned away by Gabriel, the root of his best friends distress. That didnt have to be written in at all but I reeeally wanted ANY kind of evidence of his impact on Adriens life in this. However, I do understand that they were used in this story as a catalyst for Lila to be a more impactful villain. To give Mari and Adrian that "us against the world" type feel. I appreciate that to an extent. Nino falling out with Adrian top of his father overworking him would make more sense as to why he got akumatized so that also makes sense. And it also lead to Chloe having a more overall forfilling role and lead to her earning her well-deserved Miraculous. I really enjoyed not hating Chloe for the firsf time ever. I looove these things about this rewrite but i cant help but feel saddened at how the writer gutted out Nino and Aliya's character (ESPECIALLY Aliya's character) and attatched it to Chloe instead. Its even sadder that the use of Nino and Aliya being heroes were thrown to the curb entirely after a little bit just because of their personal fights. Ladybug and Chat Noir disregarded their ability to take down foes entirely just because they were mad at them. It just doesnt sound practical given that Aliya and Nino have completely different relationships to Ladybug and Chat compared to Marinette and Adrien. Regardless, this was an amazing rewite and the storytelling was beyond impressive. I just wish my favourite characters had more admirable and likable roles alongside all of it.

@@mei_xiao6478 An easy way to fix it is just to have Marinette and Alya already be friends for years. That way the fast friendship makes sense. Adrien and Nino being fast friends makes sense since Adrien never had a real friend besides Chloe so he’d hop in the chance to make a new friend fast and Nino’s a pretty chill guy.
Honestly I think that sidelining Alya and Nino was quite nice. Unpopular opinion probably but I absolutely hated how marinette told Alya she was struggling with being ladybug and the guardian as well as a student at the same time, I feel like she should've let chat noir in more than she did. Not having her tell him who she is obviously, I mean that'd have been a nice reveal but just pulling the poor boy up instead of treading on him and dismissing it. Alya took the turtle miraculous without marinettes permission despite her knowing the gravity of the situation if the miraculous got into the wrong hands. I hate how she put her relationship with Nino in front of the words of the girl who's kept Paris safe for idk 9 months ish I don't know. Alya taking the miraculous would've been eh okay, not great but her actively giving it out like she's in charge left a bad taste in my mouth. It kind of showed how she didn't really understand how risky and kind of disrespectful it is towards Marinette and all the things she's sacrificed to keep everybody safe. Alya was alright, I liked her but it felt like she just spat on Marinette. Now I'm not saying she was a bad character it was out of good intentions but its just sad to see. I don't think marinnete should've told Alya, it left chat on the side like he was the sidekick. Heck even less than the sidekick when all that nonsense with the other holders and Marinette calling on them and then not letting him help her when he borderline begged to be kept in the loop. I think alya is a really fun character but she just bugs me in so many ways after that reveal. Especially because now that S5 is over we know that everybody is going to get their miraculous permanently so where does that put chat noir? Honestly I like his character a lot better than ladybug, she's dreadful sometimes and treats him like dirt. I love the chloe, adrien and marinette trio so much better. No hate on what you guys think but the actual show is just depressing lol with the whole chat noir pushed away thing. I really loved this rewrite and I wish somebody like this got to save miraculous. I actually really enjoy the show it just hurts lol

My miraculous ladybug journey of my thoughts while rewatching it Season 1 - a riot, amazing, iconic. Chat Noir is hilarious and I could see him and Ladybug getting together eventually. They both are very yin and Yang like. Want to know more about Emily. Excited for more. Season 2 - Marinette is very questionable but Chloe is a queen, still very funny. Wish there was more build up for Rena and Nino but overall pretty good. Season 3 - *screams in grief for Chloe’s character* , preferring Adragami over Adrienette, being bored waiting for the romance to be official, waiting for more plot development on Emily, starting to get more bored. Still funny and Kagami is very good of a character. Ignoring Chloe’s CA and the finale decent. Season 4 - GET THE MIRACULOUS BACK ALREADY YOU HAVE YOUR CHANCE! HE’S DOWNNNNNN! You assassinate Chloe now Adrian! *inaudible screaming* Season 5 - is everybody dead now?? Where the hell was Chat Noir in the finale?? Wha-
I love rewrites like these. I used to watch miraculous with my little sister and when it came out I was already outside of their demographic but I enjoyed the parallels to magical girl anime. After a few seasons though I definitely got tired of it and so did my little sister, but it's something we bonded over so I still enjoy fan-works and re-writes.❤

I feel like the new powers ladybug and chat unlock could probably take inspiration from all the other miraculous powers that were from the discarded miraculous items, like a version of second chance, the bunny’s ability to move back and fourth in time, and the horses portal ability
The reason why Adrien's character gets so sidelined is because he's treated as a prize for Marinette and as Cat Noir he's a tool for Ladybug to use if necessary.

i’m watching this while taking out my box braids. 10 minutes, in i hear: - “i’m keeping hawkmoth’s name as monarch” • i feel like it should’ve been monarch. hawkmoth is nostalgic, but monarch is a) a type of butterfly and b) such a pretty sounding name in general. - “i’m aging the characters up to 17 nearing 18, so in their last year of high school” • i feel like this would make a lot of sense for adrien. joining school during his last year for like a sense of… freedom? since college would be tough. but it would be hard to keep his identity (and marinette) in the second year and onwards. i’m gonna keep editing this throughout when i find something
ladynoirbee was such a god trio😩😩 the relationship build up was so natural and chloe figuring out their identities after sometime just made so much sense. if they didn’t completely butcher her character in the show, you’d just KNOW she’d be one of the smartest people.
everything about this was so gradual. lila actually having the fox miraculous was so good. i was suspicious of her even having the miraculous because i don’t think you clarified that the fox was missing. in the original origins, the first cutscene was of “a suspicious man” in a room full of butterflies and a brooch of a woman talking to nooroo. the butterfly miraculous was the only miraculous we knew that was in the wrong hands. then it cut to master fu pulling out the miracle box and us seeing that the butterfly was missing from its spot as well as the peacock, to which we didn’t know.
i’m glad we didn’t see the whole “plagg opening the safe and not having noticed the grimoire and peacock miraculous’” scene wasn’t in this rewrite. or tikki getting sick and marinette going to a “kwami healer”. how did she not think to herself and let the audience get confused with her about how the man didn’t question the existence of her strange “floating pet from the kingdom of achoo”??
so glad they were meeting with master fu TOGETHER, because adrien was honestly getting left out so much in the show it had me fucking LIVID. and i’m glad they weren’t taking bullshit from him either. also glad that the secret identity rule was a rule that was heavily implied to be master fu’s sets of rules.
master fu was written good in this, but obviously i can joke-complain about why he annoys me. he’s so stupid man😭😭it’s alright for him to get mad that they’re keeping secrets from him, but they can’t do the same with him? he didn’t give wise advice or tips to help them have a better chance at defeating monarch. in the show it’s always, “do what you feel is best (:” NO. show!marinette can be so smart and so dumb that it’s not a great idea to give her that advice sometimes like SERIOUSLY.
This is a nice fanfiction! It’s definitely a lot simpler and more straightforward than the existing show, with fewer subplots and a less complex story arc, but I like what you’ve done. It’s a great alternate universe fanfiction. The dynamic between Marinette and Adrien is great, as they were close friends as both civilians and as heroes. The ending was also heartwarming. This whole story is quite simple, and I would have included more side characters (especially Tsurugi, Felix, and Kagami). I do wish the writers incorporated a lot of your elements into the actual show because things are a lot more logical and progress much better.
DUDE THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE THIS SM OMG some things i absolutely loved: - the normalized friendships between the opposite sex, not feeling like it has to be romantic - the trio friendship (Chloe, Marinette and adrien) I just love that idea so much - Chloe’s redemption arc - how lila was used and wasn’t overdone or used too much, which I really liked because I felt the OG show lost ideas for her and just kept using her for some reason - adrien and marinette’s friendship with eachother, in both superhero and civilian form; no stalking or creepy stuff, genuine trust and validation and just a healthy friendship in general - how alya and nino were used in general - how Marinette and luka dated for a while, broke up, and continued to be friends after Marinette apologized for being a bad girlfriend (was very mature and a healthy way to break up) I just loved this entire thing so much I can’t really explain it well ❤

I stopped watching Miraculous after season 3, but that also means that I know enough about the show to enjoy such videos. I myself love to write stories, but I never thought of rewriting something, so I found alone the idea of rewriting a show with so much lost potential (let's be honest, the show could have been so much better than it is) extremely intruiging. And I was not disappointed! Despite being long I really enjoyed that video and I totally would love to see how your writing process is
I think I prefer how Chloe's redemption was going tin the OG show. With her being inspired by Ladybug to be a better person. Lila hurting Chloe's feeling, thus making her more friendly, just doesn't seem to vibe well with mem
Oh thank god, I thought I was being weird when it threw me and I wasn't a fan. It doesn't feel like Chloe at all and as much as canon fumbles, her (almost) redemption was actually more believable to her character than this which is strange bc everyone else seems in character for the most part

I love this, I’ve been a fan of miraculous ladybug for so long but I feel like I would be an even more fan if this was the real one. Everything is well written (unlike the actual show). I really like your redemption arc for Chloe, but i think the one shown in the series (before Astruk decided to ruin it) really shows how unloved Chloe felt (bc of her mother) and how much she just wanted to be like her, so I have to admit that i think it would be best to leave it that way (just change the ending insted of flushing it down the toilet like the writers did)
This was great, thank you. I think this made me realize why the show is the way it is. Even though I like your proposal, I think it could never be as popular in your version. It made me rethink why they did all of that and usually the answer is more complex than "the writers are bad or stupid". I feel like the choices they made are on purpose. The shipping culture is the reason why the show is so popular. Making it so it's easy to understand what is happening in the show just with context clues. You can jump into any episode with no knowledge of what is going on, and you won't be lost. The flaws made the show what it is.

It's one thing to grow closer and reconcile after years of bullying but I know that if I saw that while watching the show it would put me off. It's too big of a departure, maybe if the WAY she did it was different that described it wouldn't throw me so much but it feels like their relationship is a little too close for the context...obvi not finished the vid but it weirdly feels like Alya's place is getting taken over by Chloe down to the "best friend who encourages Marinette's romantic endeavors" role yk? Probably already said in the comments, but with the miraculous ladybug and chat noir title, I think it was a marketing thing. They put the boy character in the title to market towards another demographic (boys under 7 years old), which is definitely a choice considering Adrien is non-existent in the plot. oops.
I would like this as a fanfic maybe, but I wouldn't like it as a rewrite of the show. LOL I thought from what you said at the beginning about developing the characters I thought you meant people like Rose and Juleka or Marc and Nathaniel that were either given a role in the show too big for their limited characters, like Rose and Juleka, or were really fun/interesting characters that didn't get enough screen time at all, like Marc and Nathaniel. So I, like, watched for almost an hour and didn't hear anything about the classmates. ^^; I guess it sounded to me from the beginning that you and I disliked the same parts about the show, but then in the rewrite it sounded like we disliked very different things. I know it's just opinions, but the things you ended up taking out were some of the things like actually liked a lot in the actual show, and then the things I might've changed maybe were just left alone and we went different directions. Most people here seem to like your version better, so somebody's gotta say something nice about the original. ;u;
In Mexico schools, most children (~90%) finish primary school (1-6 in Mexico) and half of that finish secondaria/middle school (7-9) around 15 years old I personally know people who went for preparatoria/high school but its very rare for children to attend their and even rarer to graduate from. and university is another thing that i wont go into. My experience was different so i cant say much more than this edit: My experience which isn't the norm in Mexico Was moved to the USA when I was a toddler Went to a private elementary school for a few years moved to Mexico Went to a private primary school + took a private Saturday school (not religious based) Went to a Technical Secundaria for a a year (which is a harder version of secundaria/middle school) moved to USA For the first time, went to a public middle school for a year Finally, went to an accelerated high school dubbing as a Technical College Graduated with a Technical degree at age 18
Honestly, I like the show's version better. I think her ideas with fixing a few things worked, but changing the entire thing? I don't think so. Or maybe it's because she's describing the overall thing and we don't get to see it play out episode-by-episode. Who knows?

the show isn't great, but if you want background noise while doing something, it works well. i'd suggest watching callimara's rewrtite/redesign of the show here on youtube, if you find the concept and characters interesting, though. she did really well at using the potential in the show and turning it into something great.

I’m working on a Miraculous rewrite as well. But I’m making quite the drastic changes: Gabriel is NOT going to have the Butterfly Miraculous, Felix is and his name is gonna be “Monarch” (the characters aren’t changing there names unless their using a new Miraculous, I hate that they do that thing where they change their name with their costume). Lila is going to take Nathalie’s place as the Peacock Holder and Monarch’s sidekick. In my story, Felix and Lila are childhood friends and Felix wants the Miraculous to bring his mother back (she died) Emilie is alive so Gabriel is less cold and respectful than he is in the actual show. However, her career as an actress takes her away from the house often. Chloe is NOT getting redemption arc (sorry I hate her too much lol 😂) I’m introducing Zoe in Season 2 so she can get the Bee Miraculous instantly. She’s also going to be Chloe’s cousin instead of half-sister. The New York heroes don’t exist (the characters exist as civilians but there hero personas are just comic book characters) Ships will include: Luka x Marinette (their perfect for each other sue me if you don’t agree lol 😂), Adrien x Kagami (again I think their a perfect match), Felix x Lila (I’m pretty sure everyone thought they would be a thing at least once at some point), Nino x Alya (Nino is gonna like Alya from the start so no weird crush on Marinette that came out of nowhere), Rose x Ali (who’s a millionaire and not a prince in this story), Nathaniel x Juleka (I read a bunch of cute fanfics about them and I think they could work) and Marc x Zoe (same situation with Nathaniel and Juleka, and I wanted them to have someone) Changes to some Miraculous powers as some of them are either too OP (Rooster, Rabbit etc.), have to similar powers (Ladybug and Goat) or just have not enough/defined limits (Butterfly). I’m also gonna get rid of the time limit so the users can use their powers multiple times. 1. The Rabbit now grants the power to view the timeline not travel through it. (I HATE time travel, the Snake does it right). However, they can only see a few minutes into the future (5 minutes max) and if they don’t know the time/date something happened they can’t view it (that’s why Monarch can’t find the heroes identities with it since for all he knows they could have had their Miraculouses for years) 2. The Rooster now allows the user to use the quill (this is the only way I can understand the tool being a quill) to write a symbol on a paper talisman that, once placed on their body, will grant them any one enhanced physical ability of their choice (strength, speed, intelligence, making themselves a skilled painter/builder/hacker etc.) 3. The Goat now grants the power to heal any negative effect (injuries, damage to objects or alterations caused by a villain such as swapped personalities, mind control or transformations). It can’t be used to revive the dead or repair something that’s completely destroyed. Also can’t be used to release an akuma since, by nature, akumas aren’t evil or harmful. 4. The Dragon now allows the user to control all elements (I know it sounds op but they can only use one element at a time so it’s balanced, at least I hope lol 😂) 5. The Pig now grants the power of “Influence” (basically hypnosis) since its canon version is basically a mix of the Fox and Bee. 6. The Peacock and Tiger’s powers are the same but their now called “Avatar” and “Collision” respectively. 7. The Butterfly’s power is now called “Metamorphosis” and has set limits. It will be established that Monarch can’t choose the powers his villains will have. The powers will be dependent on the target’s emotions. Also it will be clarified that these people’s emotions will be amplified, causing them to not think rationally (I hate how they see the Butterfly doesn’t grant mind control when that’s clearly how it’s portrayed in the show) so when they are de-akumatized they are hit with a sense of guilt and sadness and will be seen trying to make up for what they did. It also can’t grant an exact replica of the Miraculous powers (Copycat will be a loophole since in my story, he‘ll have the power to copy anyone he sees a picture of and chooses to stay as Cat Noir and Anti-Bug will just have the power to create weapons). Also I’m getting rid of the whole Ladybug purifying akumas thing (since it makes no sense that Ladybug only has that power) and going with the movie’s plot where the akumas infect people’s hearts (also to not make it as similar as the Peacock) and the villains need to be dealt significant damage for the akumas to be released. 8. I’m also getting rid of Ladybug’s repair everything power since that just means there is no consequences. 9. Minor change but the Snake’s power can now only be used 100 times before the marked point is automatically reset. 10. Another minor change but to make the Dog not as similar to the Horse, instead of teleporting an object to themself the user telekinetically summons the item. I came up with a cool idea where unifying two Miraculouses will grant a special “fusion power” which is basically a new power that’s esstinally a combination of the unified Miraculouses powers. We know the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses have that so why not the others? For example unifying the Cat and Horse will allow the user to make a black hole, the mouse and dragon will allow the user to make small storms and the goat and ladybug will grant essentially a weaker version of Canon Ladybug’s repair everything power. The heroes are also going to get an official team name. I’m not very good with that stuff so I’m just calling them “Team Miraculous” since that’s what TV Tropes calls them. I’ll also be changing some of the hero names: Max is “Stallion”, Ivan is “Minotaur” and Mylene is “Multimouse” (its not fish that Marinette gets the better name). Also I’m just switching Kim’s name around to “Monkey King” since King Monkey sounds kinda weird. Another major change is that the Kwamis aren’t embodiments of concepts and instead are pure magical creations that the mage who created the Miraculous made to be mentors for the Miraculous holders. Also, to raise the stakes a bit, the Miraculous will bond to the person who wears them, meaning that only that person can use said Miraculous unless they die or willingly renounce it. The miraculous can still be stolen but the thief won’t be able to use it. Another thing I’m gonna try to do is have more continuity and such. Like every episode will be two references: one for an upcoming episode and one for a previous episode. Im also gonna try to develop the other holders more (especially Nathaniel and Marc)

as someone who grew up with miraculous but is now above the targeted age range for the show, I needed this.
I'm glad "Queen Redux" (best "Miraculous" fanfic out there) fixed Ladybug and Astruc's betrayal against Chloé.
Respectful of the source material, only fixing the most problematic elements of the script...Most "Miraculous" fanfics turn out to be merely some sort of AUs. I might still read those. But until then, I'd like to also try and remain loyal to the source material, with only a tinge of denial to it, but not too much.

As much as I love that Chloe, Adrien and Marinette are very good friends, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth how much you sidelined Alya and Nino, especially Alya.
Alya was a pivotal role in the main show when it came to Marinette and at least during S1 actued as a voice of reason for Marinette. Seeing her not only not have that with Marinette but also get sidelined as a hero and a person (with how much she believed Lila even thought she’s proven to be very intelligent and savvy) it left a weird taste in my mouth.
Also wouldn’t Alya and Nino get bullied by Lila by associating with Marinette?
Oh god I HEAVILY agree on that! I was super disappointed in how they were just dismissed from around season 2 given how nicely their characters were built up in the original story.
Aliya being voice of reason for Marinette and being that extra boost of confidence for her to achieve her best whenever Tikki wasnt available was erased for most of the rewrite and I found myself asking where the hell she was half the time.
And like Nino's supportive attitude! When he was akumatized because he wanted to throw a party for Adrian because of how isolated he was all the time but was turned away by Gabriel, the root of his best friends distress. That didnt have to be written in at all but I reeeally wanted ANY kind of evidence of his impact on Adriens life in this.
However, I do understand that they were used in this story as a catalyst for Lila to be a more impactful villain. To give Mari and Adrian that "us against the world" type feel. I appreciate that to an extent.
Nino falling out with Adrian top of his father overworking him would make more sense as to why he got akumatized so that also makes sense.
And it also lead to Chloe having a more overall forfilling role and lead to her earning her well-deserved Miraculous. I really enjoyed not hating Chloe for the firsf time ever.
I looove these things about this rewrite but i cant help but feel saddened at how the writer gutted out Nino and Aliya's character (ESPECIALLY Aliya's character) and attatched it to Chloe instead.
Its even sadder that the use of Nino and Aliya being heroes were thrown to the curb entirely after a little bit just because of their personal fights. Ladybug and Chat Noir disregarded their ability to take down foes entirely just because they were mad at them. It just doesnt sound practical given that Aliya and Nino have completely different relationships to Ladybug and Chat compared to Marinette and Adrien.
Regardless, this was an amazing rewite and the storytelling was beyond impressive. I just wish my favourite characters had more admirable and likable roles alongside all of it.
Honestly I just don’t like em you know for me their whole friendship is so forced like als and marinette and Nino and adrien nahhhhh it’s better the way she did
@@mei_xiao6478 An easy way to fix it is just to have Marinette and Alya already be friends for years. That way the fast friendship makes sense. Adrien and Nino being fast friends makes sense since Adrien never had a real friend besides Chloe so he’d hop in the chance to make a new friend fast and Nino’s a pretty chill guy.

Honestly I think that sidelining Alya and Nino was quite nice. Unpopular opinion probably but I absolutely hated how marinette told Alya she was struggling with being ladybug and the guardian as well as a student at the same time, I feel like she should've let chat noir in more than she did. Not having her tell him who she is obviously, I mean that'd have been a nice reveal but just pulling the poor boy up instead of treading on him and dismissing it.
Alya took the turtle miraculous without marinettes permission despite her knowing the gravity of the situation if the miraculous got into the wrong hands. I hate how she put her relationship with Nino in front of the words of the girl who's kept Paris safe for idk 9 months ish I don't know. Alya taking the miraculous would've been eh okay, not great but her actively giving it out like she's in charge left a bad taste in my mouth.
It kind of showed how she didn't really understand how risky and kind of disrespectful it is towards Marinette and all the things she's sacrificed to keep everybody safe.
Alya was alright, I liked her but it felt like she just spat on Marinette.
Now I'm not saying she was a bad character it was out of good intentions but its just sad to see. I don't think marinnete should've told Alya, it left chat on the side like he was the sidekick. Heck even less than the sidekick when all that nonsense with the other holders and Marinette calling on them and then not letting him help her when he borderline begged to be kept in the loop.
I think alya is a really fun character but she just bugs me in so many ways after that reveal. Especially because now that S5 is over we know that everybody is going to get their miraculous permanently so where does that put chat noir? Honestly I like his character a lot better than ladybug, she's dreadful sometimes and treats him like dirt.
I love the chloe, adrien and marinette trio so much better.

My miraculous ladybug journey of my thoughts while rewatching it
Season 1 - a riot, amazing, iconic. Chat Noir is hilarious and I could see him and Ladybug getting together eventually. They both are very yin and Yang like. Want to know more about Emily. Excited for more.
Season 2 - Marinette is very questionable but Chloe is a queen, still very funny. Wish there was more build up for Rena and Nino but overall pretty good.
Season 3 - *screams in grief for Chloe’s character* , preferring Adragami over Adrienette, being bored waiting for the romance to be official, waiting for more plot development on Emily, starting to get more bored. Still funny and Kagami is very good of a character. Ignoring Chloe’s CA and the finale decent.
Season 4 - GET THE MIRACULOUS BACK ALREADY YOU HAVE YOUR CHANCE! HE’S DOWNNNNNN! You assassinate Chloe now Adrian! *inaudible screaming*
Season 5 - is everybody dead now?? Where the hell was Chat Noir in the finale?? Wha-
I love rewrites like these. I used to watch miraculous with my little sister and when it came out I was already outside of their demographic but I enjoyed the parallels to magical girl anime. After a few seasons though I definitely got tired of it and so did my little sister, but it's something we bonded over so I still enjoy fan-works and re-writes.❤

The reason why Adrien's character gets so sidelined is because he's treated as a prize for Marinette and as Cat Noir he's a tool for Ladybug to use if necessary.

- “i’m keeping hawkmoth’s name as monarch”
• i feel like it should’ve been monarch. hawkmoth is nostalgic, but monarch is a) a type of butterfly and b) such a pretty sounding name in general.
- “i’m aging the characters up to 17 nearing 18, so in their last year of high school”
• i feel like this would make a lot of sense for adrien. joining school during his last year for like a sense of… freedom? since college would be tough. but it would be hard to keep his identity (and marinette) in the second year and onwards.

the relationship build up was so natural and chloe figuring out their identities after sometime just made so much sense. if they didn’t completely butcher her character in the show, you’d just KNOW she’d be one of the smartest people.
everything about this was so gradual. lila actually having the fox miraculous was so good. i was suspicious of her even having the miraculous because i don’t think you clarified that the fox was missing.
in the original origins, the first cutscene was of “a suspicious man” in a room full of butterflies and a brooch of a woman talking to nooroo.
the butterfly miraculous was the only miraculous we knew that was in the wrong hands.
then it cut to master fu pulling out the miracle box and us seeing that the butterfly was missing from its spot as well as the peacock, to which we didn’t know.
i’m glad we didn’t see the whole “plagg opening the safe and not having noticed the grimoire and peacock miraculous’” scene wasn’t in this rewrite.
or tikki getting sick and marinette going to a “kwami healer”. how did she not think to herself and let the audience get confused with her about how the man didn’t question the existence of her strange “floating pet from the kingdom of achoo”??
so glad they were meeting with master fu TOGETHER, because adrien was honestly getting left out so much in the show it had me fucking LIVID.

This is a nice fanfiction! It’s definitely a lot simpler and more straightforward than the existing show, with fewer subplots and a less complex story arc, but I like what you’ve done. It’s a great alternate universe fanfiction. The dynamic between Marinette and Adrien is great, as they were close friends as both civilians and as heroes. The ending was also heartwarming. This whole story is quite simple, and I would have included more side characters (especially Tsurugi, Felix, and Kagami). I do wish the writers incorporated a lot of your elements into the actual show because things are a lot more logical and progress much better.

some things i absolutely loved:
- the normalized friendships between the opposite sex, not feeling like it has to be romantic
- the trio friendship (Chloe, Marinette and adrien) I just love that idea so much
- Chloe’s redemption arc
- how lila was used and wasn’t overdone or used too much, which I really liked because I felt the OG show lost ideas for her and just kept using her for some reason
- adrien and marinette’s friendship with eachother, in both superhero and civilian form; no stalking or creepy stuff, genuine trust and validation and just a healthy friendship in general
- how alya and nino were used in general
- how Marinette and luka dated for a while, broke up, and continued to be friends after Marinette apologized for being a bad girlfriend (was very mature and a healthy way to break up)
I just loved this entire thing so much I can’t really explain it well ❤

I stopped watching Miraculous after season 3, but that also means that I know enough about the show to enjoy such videos. I myself love to write stories, but I never thought of rewriting something, so I found alone the idea of rewriting a show with so much lost potential (let's be honest, the show could have been so much better than it is) extremely intruiging. I really like your redemption arc for Chloe, but i think the one shown in the series (before Astruk decided to ruin it) really shows how unloved Chloe felt (bc of her mother) and how much she just wanted to be like her, so I have to admit that i think it would be best to leave it that way (just change the ending insted of flushing it down the toilet like the writers did)

Probably already said in the comments, but with the miraculous ladybug and chat noir title, I think it was a marketing thing. They put the boy character in the title to market towards another demographic (boys under 7 years old), which is definitely a choice considering Adrien is non-existent in the plot. oops.
I would like this as a fanfic maybe, but I wouldn't like it as a rewrite of the show. LOL I thought from what you said at the beginning about developing the characters I thought you meant people like Rose and Juleka or Marc and Nathaniel that were either given a role in the show too big for their limited characters, like Rose and Juleka, or were really fun/interesting characters that didn't get enough screen time at all, like Marc and Nathaniel. So I, like, watched for almost an hour and didn't hear anything about the classmates. ^^;
I guess it sounded to me from the beginning that you and I disliked the same parts about the show, but then in the rewrite it sounded like we disliked very different things. I know it's just opinions, but the things you ended up taking out were some of the things like actually liked a lot in the actual show, and then the things I might've changed maybe were just left alone and we went different directions. Most people here seem to like your version better, so somebody's gotta say something nice about the original. ;u;

I personally know people who went for preparatoria/high school but its very rare for children to attend their and even rarer to graduate from. and university is another thing that i wont go into.

No lol. Her version is much better. The show has potential but it's very wasted. But if you really want to see it, I recommend searching a no filler episode list, the show has lots of pointless episodes
if you're looking to turn off your brain and watch then go ahead but if not then a waste of time. as the person above me said, there's a lot of wasted potential with the plot and the characters are either underused and/or inconsistent
the show isn't great, but if you want background noise while doing something, it works well. i'd suggest watching callimara's rewrtite/redesign of the show here on youtube, if you find the concept and characters interesting, though. she did really well at using the potential in the show and turning it into something great.

I’m working on a Miraculous rewrite as well. But I’m making quite the drastic changes:
Gabriel is NOT going to have the Butterfly Miraculous, Felix is and his name is gonna be “Monarch” (the characters aren’t changing there names unless their using a new Miraculous, I hate that they do that thing where they change their name with their costume).
Lila is going to take Nathalie’s place as the Peacock Holder and Monarch’s sidekick.
In my story, Felix and Lila are childhood friends and Felix wants the Miraculous to bring his mother back (she died)
Emilie is alive so Gabriel is less cold and respectful than he is in the actual show. However, her career as an actress takes her away from the house often.
Chloe is NOT getting redemption arc (sorry I hate her too much lol 😂)
I’m introducing Zoe in Season 2 so she can get the Bee Miraculous instantly. She’s also going to be Chloe’s cousin instead of half-sister.
The New York heroes don’t exist (the characters exist as civilians but there hero personas are just comic book characters)
Ships will include: Luka x Marinette (their perfect for each other sue me if you don’t agree lol 😂), Adrien x Kagami (again I think their a perfect match), Felix x Lila (I’m pretty sure everyone thought they would be a thing at least once at some point), Nino x Alya (Nino is gonna like Alya from the start so no weird crush on Marinette that came out of nowhere), Rose x Ali (who’s a millionaire and not a prince in this story), Nathaniel x Juleka (I read a bunch of cute fanfics about them and I think they could work) and Marc x Zoe (same situation with Nathaniel and Juleka, and I wanted them to have someone)
Changes to some Miraculous powers as some of them are either too OP (Rooster, Rabbit etc.), have to similar powers (Ladybug and Goat) or just have not enough/defined limits (Butterfly). I’m also gonna get rid of the time limit so the users can use their powers multiple times.
1. The Rabbit now grants the power to view the timeline not travel through it. (I HATE time travel, the Snake does it right). However, they can only see a few minutes into the future (5 minutes max) and if they don’t know the time/date something happened they can’t view it (that’s why Monarch can’t find the heroes identities with it since for all he knows they could have had their Miraculouses for years)
2. The Rooster now allows the user to use the quill (this is the only way I can understand the tool being a quill) to write a symbol on a paper talisman that, once placed on their body, will grant them any one enhanced physical ability of their choice (strength, speed, intelligence, making themselves a skilled painter/builder/hacker etc.)
3. The Goat now grants the power to heal any negative effect (injuries, damage to objects or alterations caused by a villain such as swapped personalities, mind control or transformations). It can’t be used to revive the dead or repair something that’s completely destroyed. Also can’t be used to release an akuma since, by nature, akumas aren’t evil or harmful.
4. The Dragon now allows the user to control all elements (I know it sounds op but they can only use one element at a time so it’s balanced, at least I hope lol 😂)
5. The Pig now grants the power of “Influence” (basically hypnosis) since its canon version is basically a mix of the Fox and Bee.
6. The Peacock and Tiger’s powers are the same but their now called “Avatar” and “Collision” respectively.
7. The Butterfly’s power is now called “Metamorphosis” and has set limits. It will be established that Monarch can’t choose the powers his villains will have. The powers will be dependent on the target’s emotions. Also it will be clarified that these people’s emotions will be amplified, causing them to not think rationally (I hate how they see the Butterfly doesn’t grant mind control when that’s clearly how it’s portrayed in the show) so when they are de-akumatized they are hit with a sense of guilt and sadness and will be seen trying to make up for what they did. It also can’t grant an exact replica of the Miraculous powers (Copycat will be a loophole since in my story, he‘ll have the power to copy anyone he sees a picture of and chooses to stay as Cat Noir and Anti-Bug will just have the power to create weapons). Also I’m getting rid of the whole Ladybug purifying akumas thing (since it makes no sense that Ladybug only has that power) and going with the movie’s plot where the akumas infect people’s hearts (also to not make it as similar as the Peacock) and the villains need to be dealt significant damage for the akumas to be released.

I came up with a cool idea where unifying two Miraculouses will grant a special “fusion power” which is basically a new power that’s esstinally a combination of the unified Miraculouses powers. We know the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses have that so why not the others? For example unifying the Cat and Horse will allow the user to make a black hole, the mouse and dragon will allow the user to make small storms and the goat and ladybug will grant essentially a weaker version of Canon Ladybug’s repair everything power.
The heroes are also going to get an official team name. I’m not very good with that stuff so I’m just calling them “Team Miraculous” since that’s what TV Tropes calls them.
I’ll also be changing some of the hero names: Max is “Stallion”, Ivan is “Minotaur” and Mylene is “Multimouse” (its not fish that Marinette gets the better name). Also I’m just switching Kim’s name around to “Monkey King” since King Monkey sounds kinda weird.
Another major change is that the Kwamis aren’t embodiments of concepts and instead are pure magical creations that the mage who created the Miraculous made to be mentors for the Miraculous holders. Also, to raise the stakes a bit, the Miraculous will bond to the person who wears them, meaning that only that person can use said Miraculous unless they die or willingly renounce it. The miraculous can still be stolen but the thief won’t be able to use it.
Another thing I’m gonna try to do is have more continuity and such. Like every episode will be two references: one for an upcoming episode and one for a previous episode.
