When the Tool Army shows up your subscriptions will sky rocket. This is from the album in 92. You guys haven't listened to much rock. THE POT is the gateway drug to be introduced. Then branch out. This band has 3 of the best musicians and lead singer, Maynard James Keenan. And he sings for 2 other bad ass bands, A Perfect Circle and Pusifer.
From a TOOL Army soldier for over 20 years, the best gateway song to react to is The Pot, off of the 10,000 days album. Then from there it's a long and glorious journey down the rabbit hole that is Tool. All I ask of you guys is to LISTEN to the song as you react to them. Just listen and let the music take you on the journey. As you can see my username is based off of their most recent album release. This album was released 13 years after 10,000 days, the previous album, so the build up to it was insane for any TOOL fan. Also as some people have mentioned Pneuma the Danny Carey drum video is a great song to start with as well. They are not in the rock genre of music, TOOL are their own amazing genre of music. There is no other band like them. No other band sounds like them. No other band composes their music like them. They are not dark they are unique, very very unique. Their music has many layers to it, their music is like chess when every other band is playing checkers.
This is a demo version of the song, you guys really missed out. The video you started with was the actual version. That said, there are much more intense songs from their catalog that you can get into!
The fact that you were all captivated just by the intro, shows the musical genius that the group Tool is. The song is based on addiction and all the feelings associated with it. It’s not about devil worshipping just the downward spiral that one gets drawn into. More Tool songs would be great along with other rock artists. You should listen to the group Disturbed’s song “Stricken”, I’m sure you guys will not be disappointed.
TOOL is to metal/rock what Eminem is to rap. They are a collective of musical geniuses. The lyrics are deep on nearly every track, the music is played by masters of their instruments, and their videos (when they actually make them) are trippy as hell!
Tool is great. This, sounded awful. Please do another. I can't believe y'all haven't been asked to do the (Danny Carey) Pneuma live drum cam yet!? ... please do that one.
Hi Mapex, I already suggested to these guys a few days ago, commenting on their uploaded videos, but they haven't done it yet. Indeed, I agree on reacting Pneuma with Danny's version on the drum cams. U guys gonna love watching it. TOOL PNEUMA LIVE PLEASE :D
Totally agree, I have never heard Tool sound so bad, shame on the person who uploaded this. Unless of course Tool once recorded Sober in a toilet cubicle, with a mobile phone, and they have the only crappy copy. I will forgive them and of course pay stupid money for a toilet cubicle recordings bootleg:)
Danny Carey is the drummer…you guys should check out “Danny Carey live drum cam, Pneuma” the song is awesome but to see Danny Carey play the drums to the song is even more awesome!
this is an amazing song about alchohol/substance dependence and the self loathing from being aware of it and not doing anything to curb it. watch the live performance version of this one. it's amazing
alot of professional vocal teachers are very impressed by soberslive preformance. they also have an orgasn during the scream he does in "the grudge " lol
To me it doesn't have anything to do with chemical drugs but rather a bad relationship and staying drunk of false emotions instead of sobering up and facing the reality of the situation. But that's the great thing about Tool. It means something different to everyone.
tool is one of the most lyrically encrypted bands ever. complete music geniuses and loved by everyone who listens to them. they are perceived as one of the top bands who have never produced a below par album or song and only have extremely consistent high standards in their ability to create music.
DEFINITELY have to react to Tool-The Pot!! You will definitely add it to your workout lists! Schism is another great song, especially with the lyrics pulled up.
@@SparkimusPrime they have never heard the song or band before…perhaps that was the way it was supposed to sound. Can you tell me what a song is supposed to sound like without ever hearing it?
@@adammaynard5683 I know it’s not supposed to sound like that. Especially after hearing the other one before they clicked off it. I get what you’re saying, I’m not trying to be a dick about it, js they could’ve just stuck with the one they had.
Do you remember those kids who cover that 46&2 -is was soo good-forgot about it until now. Im going to find the link for anyone who hasnt seen it. ruclips.net/video/mYKLvYGqaC0/видео.html
This is a metaphorical song, also they had a friend who was a addict who died, so he saying Why did he allow himself to get to a point where he died, and also speaking through the substance view by saying trust in me and fall as well. ... Tool is lyrically deep, and can have double entendres and meaning with the lyrics. Check out The Pot and you understand what I mean, Fire 🔥 song. You guys will love it
please keep experiencing TOOL. If you listen to parabol and parabola in that order you cant be less than amazed. Lateralus is also amazing with a crazy guitar solo. The Pot is a BANGER
yeah boys you gotta persevere with Tool. i'm not saying it like it's some grand accomplishment but I've been a musician for most of my life, and like to think I know a decent amount about music. Tool are just next level. Pink Floyd veryyy close second
I was about to go to sleep but I saw this... This is going to be great lol. Aww man, i wish they watched the actual video with the better sound quality... Tool is amazing, their sound is amazing and their lyrics are deep... I hope you hear more, but this song is the one with the most appeal honestly. I think the version you guys landed on doesn't even have the baseline in there lol.
This sounded like it might have been a live cut with the lyrics over it, there was an echo and different guitar things going on. 10:02 yeah these guys are each pretty insane with their instruments, weird time signatures all over the place, they get into African-feeling polyrhythms and even composed one song based on the fibonacci sequence. For some reason I thought you guys already did the Danny Carey Drum-camera version of Tool - Pneuma live, but if not, head straight to it. Dude is an absolute master, and the drums are the star of that one.
10000 days and Wings for Marie are two of there very best songs. Extremely emotional and dedicated to Mayrards mother after she passed. Makes me cry eveytime.
Once again, it's a blast to see you guys give your perspective / reaction to a song I've known since it came out over 20 years ago. Y'all are 100% genuine, inciteful, and funny as hell. Thanks for doing what you do!
@@maineiacial I got this album immediately after I heard Sober on the radio. Like, within an hour. I had a symbiotic connection with it [=-=-=-> not sure if that's the right word, so let's just put a pin in that} '^-_-^' I still hear something new every time I listen to this album. :)

I love TOOL!! I feel bad you didnt seem to have the best experience with this sont, but let me recommended "The Pot". The sound alone to this song made me fall back in love with rock when I was living in NYC.
Since y'all seem to enjoy a good drummer, I strongly recommend checking out a video from one of their shows that focuses on the drummer absolutely killing it - Danny Carey | "Pneuma" by Tool (LIVE IN CONCERT)
Check out Tools drummer, Danny Carey "PNEUMA" (live in concert). The video is only of the drummer and it's possibly one of the best drum performance ever. I'd also recommend checking out "SOBER" LIVE (pro shot), one of the best vocal performances in history.
DAMN! sounds amazing. They came to Oslo and I slept through the first half hour of the ticket sale and so the ti kets sold out lol. Cried when they announced their coming here but at least I saved I lot of money missing that concert lol.
Tool Army Soldier here.. you have officially made me a fan and subscriber.. you fellas need to do more Tool songs.. Stinkfist, H, Pnuema, Lateralus, The Grudge, There are so many incredible songs.. greatest band ever!
Tool is not just music, it's an experience. It's just stunning how deep they go. Been listening to them since the early 90s and still discovering new aspects to the songs...!
I’m 51 & have been a music lover for as long as I can remember …I keep a very open mind when it comes to music & I gotta say that for the past 20+ years TOOL has been the best band on this planet for real 🖤🎼🥶
Tool is absolutely one of the most creative bands ever. We need more tool. I remember they played this album live 3 miles from my house and I could hear every word from my back yard. They were that loud they shook the entire city.
Check out Sleep Token - Hypnosis, In Flames - Come Clarity, Deftones - My Own Summer, Fire From the Gods - End Transmission, Twelve Foot Ninja - Mother Sky, King 810 - Vendettas, Loathe - Two Way Mirror, Killswitch Engage - The Arms of Sorrow... You won't be disappointed.
TOOL will be an amazing journey for you guys. Like others have said, you definitely need to do "The Pot" next. Probably the best TOOL introductory song to do. I think you guys will dig it. Also, avoid the official music videos because they're super weird and distracting.
I'm glad you guys finally reacted to tool, unfortunately the audio and song choice wasn't the best one to start with, but I'm glad you could already pick up how good the instruments are. If you do appreciate talent you wouldn't be disappointed with them. This was from their first full album and like many great artists their music got better, should check out songs from later releases. Also I found it funny how thinking some of the lyrics are about a woman/relationship, when he's singing about substance abuse to put it simply. I guess this is why some say women are like drugs lol.
Stinkfist, Aenima, 46 & 2, Parabola, & Pneuma are some of their amazing songs. Listen to and read the lyrics along to the entire 10,000 Days album. Standouts are The Pot, Jambi, Right in Two, and Rosetta Stoned, but IMO the BEST song from the album, and it sums up what our society has become, is Vicarious. It rocks HARD, but the message hits home. If you like Tool's sound, check out A Perfect Circle. Their song Disillusioned is the song that everyone should listen to right now and hopefully, reflect upon its message. Watch the music video while reading the lyrics, and see what you feel.
@@efwhyai The Grudge was actually the first song I've heard from them. I went on listening to the whole album in one take lol But maybe it's best they ease into it before going full spiral :)
Tool were way ahead of their time when they first came out (I have their first album on cassette). I've seen them live a couple of times and they are AMAZING! The lead singer (Maynard) also owns a vineyard and bottles wine. He was also with the band "A Perfect Circle"
Tool never fucking gets old, glad you guys hit this up. The sober conversation cracked me up. This is a song about a dude destroying all the relationships in his life, most likely because of alcohol and drugs and shitty mentality.
It could be like this "Why can't, we not be sober" as in, you can be sober if you try and "Why can't we not be sober" as in don't really need to be sober, it can go both way I believe it's called language art, I could be wrong.
Yeah , you got a not quiet version of Sober , .. The great songs of "Tool" to start out with are 1. "The Pot" you'll find out why 2. "46&2" and again you will find out why 3. "Right In Two" arguably tere Best song , .. and from there 2019 album "Fear Innoculum" the song "Fear Innoculum" released two months before the pandemic , . Everything else "Tool" is good also , .. Wow a reaction for Tool. Your channel is going to ignite like wildfire if you react to Tool. The Tool Army is strong. Please do a reaction to the song the POT from TOOL 🔧 you guys have to bring your headphones for that 🎵 song. Your channel will get 100,000 plus in a a few months. No joke.
Maynard said the song is based on a friend who can’t write music without being loaded so it’s a synopsis of what happens to so many artist who think they need an altered state to write mind bending songs…I believe it refers to either Layne Staley of Alice In Chains or Kurt Cobain of Nirvana…
Sober is about addiction and is from 92'. Their material get deeper and more complex as you move through the years. Headphones are a must!! Pipe some good quality audio and welcome to the rabbit hole!! Start with the POT, Lateralus, Right in Two, and Invicible. Pneuma live is a must if you like drums.
Tool is a phenomenal band and I think you guys will thoroughly enjoy their music, even though it's usually placed in genre of rock or alt rock, their style and technical wizardry is listened to and respected by music fans spanning all genres. The Tool Army will be here shortly, while many of them are just passionate about their favorite band, some can and will be demanding and full of themselves, and try to tell you how you should experience listening to them, so just a heads up. ✌️
Tool is it’s own greatest thing ever. “The Pot” is a great song that you will react to as well as “Forty Six & 2”. I’m never going to tell you what to do but you will. Please just know there is a dope ass drum solo in Forty Six & 2 and let the boys know this is a time where no words should be spoken. It might be the best rock song ever made. Just my opinion.
the video you put on with lyrics was a live performance and Maynard screwed up the chorus a bit: It was actually: "Why can't we not be sober/I just want to start things over/Why can't we drink forever/I just want to start this over" and "Why can't we not be sober/I just want to start things over/Why can't we sleep forever/I just want to start this over"
Tool are musical geniuses with composition, "The Pot" is absolute fire!!! You need to go down the Tool rabbit hole...... I'm glad I did. Danny Carey is an amazing drummer, he uses odd time signatures.
This song saved my life. After going through alcohol treatment I hit a rough patch and fell back into the bottle . listening to this over ans over gave me the strength to climb back out of the bottle. Maynard is the TRUTH!!!
Young Brothers ✊🏿 As an official Funk and Roll Souljah, I highly recommend you check ALL of these out: Rage Against The Machine: -Fistfull Of Steel -People Of The Sun -Bulls On Parade -Down Rodeo -Guerrilla Radio Deftones: -Digital Bath -Shut Up And Drive -Risk -Kimdracula -The Spell Of Mathematics Living Colour -Love Rears Up It's Ugly Head -Memories Can't Wait -Elvis Is Dead -Postman I think you've already reacted to "Cult Of Personality", but if not check that one FIRST
Trying to catch rap bars vs. trying to get the deeper meanings of rock songs are two unique and widely different skills. Y’all have helped me learn how to catch bars. Hopefully those of us in the rock community can return the favor and help you with the rock.
Sober is good, but "THE POT" and "46 & 2" are the ultimate first-listen musts for TOOL. I'm gonna take a beat and BEG you guys to react to A Perfect Circle - same lead singer as TOOL, much different vibe and sound. I suggest: "Weak & Powerless," "Passive," "Blue," "The Outsider," "3 Libras," and "The Noose." Beautiful, powerful music! If you guys start the foray into the world of TOOL and APC, your views are going to explode. Listen, settle in, and enjoy the ride on these, boys.
Tool is a very interesting band to get into... formed in 1991 as a "joke" band in California, they were signed quickly and scored an MTV hit in 1993 w/ 'Sober' from their 1st full album 'Undertow' (Tool released an EP titled 'Opiate' in '92) ... u can barely see the band members in the animated video for 'Sober'... but after that, they refused to appear in their music videos. Tool were defined by a dark sound that fused the heavy grooves of early Black Sabbath and the weird atmosphere and imagery of Pink Floyd. In 1996, Tool released their 2nd album 'Aenima' and it went to #2 on the US charts, eventually sold 3 million copies in the US... the singles and animated videos for 'Stinkfist' and 'Aenima' made it on MTV... the other radio singles were - 'H' ... 'Forty six & two'... It would be 5 years before Tool returned in 2001 w/ the 'Lateralus' album... their music was becoming more complicated, their live shows were now a special effects spectacle. The album went to #1 on the US charts and sold another 3 million copies... 5 years later, they released the album "10,000 Days" in 2006... another #1 chart hit in the US, and sold 2 million copies. 13 years would pass by without a new studio album from Tool, but they kept busy touring... Finally, they released the long-awaited album 'Fear inoculum' in 2019 and that also went to #1 and has sold a half million copies in the digital downloading age. Tool (the band) is: Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Adam Jones (guitar), Danny Carey (drums) and Justin Chancellor (bass)... original bassist Paul D'Amour left the band around 1995 after the 'Undertow' album. Other Tool songs to check out - 'Parabol/ Parabola' ... 'Schism'... 'The Pot'... 'Prison sex'... 'Vicarious'... 'Fear inoculum'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
check out Tool "The Pot" its a good entry song for Tool, gives you a good idea of what they sound like, more recently. Sober is a god tune but its early on and they have changed quite a bit. "The Pot" is a high paced tune with high energy, Tool tend to do very long, but "The Pot" is not so long. Its the sort of music that gets better and better the more you listen to it. They went through a big change on the AEnima album they became more detailed and complex and generally more epic. Tool videos are mad(in a creepy way), just listen to the music
Oh dude. Shinedown. Please do a react. They are really good. My dad had a stroke years ago and just discovered Shinedown. I believe they are helping him through his struggles. I have listened to them for a great deal of my teenage years through my 20's. My dad found an inspiration to keep on living through a band I had known a great deal of my life. I came to visit them (mom and dad) and he was trying to show me songs that I have known for years. I humbled myself to listening to my father tell me how awesome they are. Even though I already knew. Because it gave him a bright point in his hardship. Music transcends folks. Btw, I'm a functioning alcoholic. Tool-Sober reminds me of what I am killing and torturing. Myself. I have many reasons. I hope you guys enjoyed the song. It's pretty deeep.
Double negative is in fact correct though its represented from an addict obviously talking to himself (or a "higher power") struggles you don't understand and power to you.. you would never want to understand and i personally hope you never will. keep the positivity even when things feel dark. I appreciate your videos of positivity
I've been listening to Tool for damn near 30 years. You need to react to The Grude, Lateralus, The Pot, 7empest, Fear Innoculum, 46+2, Invincible, Vicarious, or Aenema. Great channel BTW, new subscriber. Keep it up. #ToolArmy
Tool is one of the darkest rock bands based on their lyrics. I love The Nurse Who Loved Me though by A Perfect Circle, who has the lead singer for too.
He’s fighting with addiction between hope or satisfaction…catch the live version making the rounds and see how he gives a true performance about the power of addiction and you can see the audience and Tool become one in this intense but great live version…
You guys need to listen to more TOOL. As much as I love Undertow I feel like they didn’t come into their own and master their craft until Ænima….. and they only have gotten better with each album. They have a song that is written in the Fibonacci sequence for the love of God. Lateralus is the name of the song off of the album of the same name. The Pot, Lateralus, Rosetta Stoned, The Grudge, Pneuma ……. to name just a small number of masterpieces by these artists.
Not sure what was going on with the audio you guys had; that's not the actual song. If you want good instrumentation by Tool: Forty-six and Two, Wings for Marie (There's two parts to this song, so in total it's about 18 minutes, part 2 is the best for musicality), Right in Two (my favorite song by them, especially as I'm Christian), Schism, and Parabola are all really good. If you want a good laugh, though, look up Hooker With a Penis. Someone made the mistake of pissing them off. Tool usually doesn't curse. Haven't heard their most recent album, so can't give any recommendations from it.
I am a big time heavy metal fan. I’m also a hip-hop fan. I’m also a major R&B fan. I love everything except country, can’t do country. With that said, tall is in my top five favorite bands of all time this band is something really special. They’re at a whole different level than most bands.
Y'all, Tool and A Perfect Circle are amazing. Maynard's voice is collectively agreed to be one if the best in Rock music. Their lyrical content is always worth viewing.
All of TOOL's songs are about raising your consciousness and trying to get you to see things from every possible perspective. In other words, what is "your" definition of sober. The meaning of sober here is to be awake (conscious). It has nothing to do with not being intoxicated. Also the song Pneuma from their last album is probably the pinnacle of each band member's skill as a musician. I have never seen a reaction to that song where the reactionists weren't totally blown away.
im in no way a die hard Tool head or anything and wont pretend ive heard all their songs but "Lateralus" is legendary... they used the Fibonacci sequence to create an audibly pleasing song.
So Maynard is brilliant. 3 successful bands: tool, A perfect circle, and puscifer. Each has its own sound and reason for being. I Know from watching, ya'll like "bars" or clever lyrics double meaning, and well put together.cs double meaning. If you do tool again. Lookup The Grudge, Aenema, and the pot. i know you will bring up lyrics, but after look up what he meant by them. his art work is also mind blowing and he collaborates with artists like alex grey. A Perfect circle seems to have more of a political base, discussions issues he has with religion and why (tragic story about his mother i wont ruin here.) Check out Judith for its popularity buts its also the name of his mother and a reason he did alot of what he did in tool and apc.. if you want to hear brilliance. Eat the elephant, the contrarian, and talk talk. Remember, just cause he discusses religion, he isn't evil If anything he is calling out the people that act religious but don't actually walk their talk. PLEASE IF ANYTHING check out The doomed. look up the lyrics,m then what he means by it picking apart the beatitude some say they have but are lacking. he also talks about the 7 deadly sins and how we glorify or "bless" the people in our society who clearly embrace those quality. the music video is brilliant when you realize why it is the way it is. As the lyrics go they are looking into the camera as if you weren't also looking act a screen watching.... but they react like if they are talking to us, in real life. and as the specific lyrics go pat they react how they would as if talking to and explain their disgust and disappointments with puscifer.that started-as a creative outlet for him to express all the other random shit he wanted to and lately has grown into what it i guess what supposed to be. I dig the indigo children, the remedy, bread and circus, and grey area al lot.
It's about the outcome drugs/alcohol had on a friend. A lot of Metal music deals with serious subjects. Releasing anger and frustration through the music instead of with external outbursts, or turning it back on oneself and internalizing it.
As a Tool fan for 27 years, I would recommend the songs Jambi, Ticks and Leeches, or Right in Two. These are the simplest pieces to start with and the rest of their catalog get more complicated to digest. Then there's the hidden track on an album called "Maynards Dick" which is just them screwing around but it is still better done than most rock songs these days. Tool only makes bangers.
One theme you guys should get familiar with when you try to understand a lot of rock is Drugs as a character. When you ask who is he talking to or who is talking the answer might be Drugs and drug addiction. Your on the right track when you ask is it the devil. Well kinda! Addiction is the devil in disguise and most of these bands have had experience battling that devil. Some have won and and sadly some have lost. Many were fighting the fight while writing these songs. You should add Stained to your to do list✌️
FAM! Y'all need to check out some other Tool joints like "The Pot", "46 & 2", and "Stinkfist". You should also react to Five Finger Death Punch "The Tragic Truth", "Inside Out", and "If I Fall".
If you guys did more Tool with a better quality video you will definitely get alot more viewers and subs, the Tool army will come for sure. One must watch is Danny Carey live playing Pnuema. Keep it up dudes 🤘

@@adammaynard5683 I know it’s not supposed to sound like that. Especially after hearing the other one before they clicked off it. I get what you’re saying, I’m not trying to be a dick about it, js they could’ve just stuck with the one they had.
The pot by tool is a guaranteed banger. There's not one person who don't love it. Brandon will appreciate the bars and double meanings.
The Pot is lowkey overrated
Tool 46 & 2 is a good listen, there's a lyric video you can play w/out sound over the audio track..play at same time doesn't have to be perfectly time
46&2 is probably my favorite Tool Song.....
Best song they've ever done
Do you remember those kids who cover that 46&2 -is was soo good-forgot about it until now. Im going to find the link for anyone who hasnt seen it. ruclips.net/video/mYKLvYGqaC0/видео.html
Tool is one of the greatest bands ever. Yall seriously seriously missing out.
You guys will love it
Oh wow, System of A Down has a story like that as well with Chop SUEY
they'll never understand that haha. these dudes are 1st grade in lyric understanding
Thank you guys for every video you do and showing new stuff ..not many channels do that ..thankful are even playing tool at all .so thanks
please keep experiencing TOOL.
İ don't think they will appreciate such art (only the white hoodie dude might enjoy it) , i don't think Tool ia their cup of tea tbh
Ænima was always where I started people
My anthem(s)
Tool is an amazing band...also the lead singer (Maynard) is the lead in the group A Perfect Circle. All the albums are from Tool and APC
You guys get the lyrics quick, really like the conjecture! Another awesome reaction logged! Sorry for being 5 months late...
Dude is an absolute master, and the drums are the star of that one.
defintely seemslike a live track. The band isn't mixed very clearly and prominently, which is such a defining part of their sound.
I think the poster modified the sound to get away from the RUclips bots for copyright infringement.
@@stephenhansen6252 nah listen back to the guitar in the second half, there's alterations from the studio cut.
Close... but no. It's the demo version actually
My roommate brought this CD home day one. Cranked it up to 11 and blew his system before he could move.

Nothing beats seeing TOOL in concert, its a cerebral experience.
Three times at Red Rocks. Best shows I've ever been to.
So amazing live, it feels like taking drugs without taking drugs, lol
DAMN! sounds amazing. They came to Oslo and I slept through the first half hour of the ticket sale and so the ti kets sold out lol. Cried when they announced their coming here but at least I saved I lot of money missing that concert lol.
And that is scientific fact
Tool Army Soldier here.. you have officially made me a fan and subscriber.. you fellas need to do more Tool songs.. Stinkfist, H,
Pnuema, Lateralus, The Grudge,
There are so many incredible songs.. greatest band ever!
Tool is not just music, it's an experience. It's just stunning how deep they go. Been listening to them since the early 90s and still discovering new aspects to the songs...!
Oh YES, brilliant!!! One of the greatest songs in rock! Another great song by Tool: The Pot
I’m 51 & have been a music lover for as long as I can remember …I keep a very open mind when it comes to music & I gotta say that for the past 20+ years TOOL has been the best band on this planet for real 🖤🎼🥶
Tool is DOPE! Glad you guys gave it a listen 👍👍👍
Tool is absolutely one of the most creative bands ever. We need more tool. I remember they played this album live 3 miles from my house and I could hear every word from my back yard. They were that loud they shook the entire city.
We NEED more TOOL reactions please!!!!
Two starter songs for tool: "the pot" and "Aenema"
"Forty Six & 2" and "The Pot" are your next best choice ;)
The grudge, tho. That scream
@@efwhyai The Grudge was actually the first song I've heard from them. I went on listening to the whole album in one take lol
But maybe it's best they ease into it before going full spiral :)
I'm so happy y'all did this song! I absolutely love Tool. They're songs are transcending and really deep
Try the live version of this & you will really freak out watching Maynard's body language.
Oh yea you are stepping into the best musical Journey you will go into. Tool is truly one of a kind and well worth diving into.
Simply the best band. No one like them.
Also of Great Musicians "The Doors" songs 1. "Riders of the Storm" the 'Doors' year 1970/71 version first which has arguably the Best piano music of any rock/blues/jazz song that there is & then the compleat version cover song by "Snoop Dog" of "Riders Of The Storm" which i have and play on a loop , . 'Doors' song 2. "Five To One" sampled by Jay-z which is a revolutionary song , .. Ole "Jim Morrison" was quite the performer being chased by up to 11 yes eleven cops on stage and being numerously arrested for revolutionary speak and view's
Maynard James Keenan is a musical genius
Bro I'm down on my knees and begging for more Tool reactions🖤
You definitely should experience "schism" and "right in two"
Wow a reaction for Tool.
Tool. The Pot is a must react. 🔥🎸
Guys, you have to watch the live version from 1993. The amount of emotion he conveys on stage is insane.
The video is the way to go . The best version of the song. You guys are doing amazing. Keep going!!
U should of reacted to the live version of this. That one is really good
Pretty sure they ended up on a live recording, or at least something other than the studio version they started on

Love you guys! You're listening to one of the best drummers in the world
Damn yall gotta start watching official, original cuts on these songs! This doesn't even sound like Tool. Glad yall are finally checking them out tho!
Oh boy you are about to go down a whole new rabbit hole! Welcome to the world of Tool guys!!
This song saved my life. After going through alcohol treatment I hit a rough patch and fell back into the bottle . listening to this over ans over gave me the strength to climb back out of the bottle. Maynard is the TRUTH!!!

Trying to catch rap bars vs. trying to get the deeper meanings of rock songs are two unique and widely different skills.
Y’all have helped me learn how to catch bars. Hopefully those of us in the rock community can return the favor and help you with the rock.
First of all..... You need to see the LIVE VERSION. PLEASE. Tool is absolutely FIRE.
you really need to see the live video of this..............its hectic!!!!! love the reactions guys keep it up
Sober is good, but "THE POT" and "46 & 2" are the ultimate first-listen musts for TOOL.
Lmao y'all are so bad at this 🤣 it cracks me up every time and I'm always here for it
Brothers been listening to Tool since 92 its a great experience if y'all into that kinda music. It took them 10 years to drop a new album.
Tool
You mentioned Shinedown “Simple Man”. That’s a definite reaction. It’s awesome.
They’re at a whole different level than most bands.
omg!! more Tool! Opiate with lyrics plus pneuma with the camera focused on Danny Carey live is a must
SKYNARD LYNARD!!!!!!!!! Y'ALL ARE CRACKIN' ME UP!!!!!!!! I LOVE Y'ALL HILARIOUS DUDES!!!!!!!!!
He is saying both! wanting and not wanting to be sober like an ebb and flow (or at least this is how I interpret it)
Thank you guys! :)
About time little G
As the lyrics go they are looking into the camera as if you weren't also looking act a screen watching.... but they react like if they are talking to us, in real life. and as the specific lyrics go pat they react how they would as if talking to and explain their disgust and disappointments
with puscifer.that started-as a creative outlet for him to express all the other random shit he wanted to and lately has grown into what it i guess what supposed to be. I dig the indigo children, the remedy, bread and circus, and grey area al lot.
You guys were warm (with the censored version) and just got colder. Try the uncensored studio track or the live version, you'll know
It's about the outcome drugs/alcohol had on a friend.
Well kinda! Addiction is the devil in disguise and most of these bands have had experience
battling that devil.
