@@darknica3486 not really. The legendary one is WAY stronger. Ghidorah can make a category 5 hurrican by flying and left a PERMANENT storm around skull island that lasted even after its death. Godzilla went toe to toe with it with both getting stronger throughout the film. Legendary Godzilla also bore a massive hole down to the hollow earth and has consistently bullied plenty of other titans, or they flat out submit to him. Shin's only major advantage is his adaptive evolution which wouldn't really be fast enough to adapt to this kind of fight against a power gap as huge as the one here. Plus one has MILLIONS of years to his name while the other does not. Shin has never fought another kaiju unless you wanna count that 4D crossover ride with evangelion which had a shin ghidora, but not much happened there to put them anywhere near monsterverse levels. Shin would be hard to fully KILL, but...beyond that its got nothing going for it against well...most other godzillas. Which is sad cause its easily got one of the coolest designs among them.
If by fight you mean oneshot.

Shin can't die unless he's beat at a cellular level, otherwise he will regenerate and evolve. Legendary Godzilla's breath took time to dig into the hollow earth, who's to say Shin couldn't do the same? That's not to mention the fact Legendary doesn't have the AoE damage even with that. Thermonuclear won't be a factor in this battle since that was a culmination of multiple amps

I find it really weird that Shin, the most terrifying King of the Monsters who can adapt and evolve into horrifying new forms and abilities is actually the weakest Godzilla in terms of feats. Like you can only say he beats _base_ _form_ 1998 Zilla cause Zilla senior got a shit ton stronger after being revived as a cyborg in the animated sequel series.
I dunno, I'd still say Shin beats out Cyberzilla because he's still ungodly fragile, losing an arm to a stray alien ship blast and getting torn open by Toonzilla. I'd also say he has better feats than the original 54 Godzilla who... just has no actual feats to his name... But yes, Shin feat-wise is on the very lower end of the spectrum.
@@quintonblackburn3916 Neither of those are really anti-feats imo. The same type of ship managed to one shot an aircraft carrier iirc and Toonzilla is pretty damn strong with his atomic breath evidently being calced to be island level via creating a warm/cold fronts as a side effect of his clash with an ice kaiju, and Cyber Zilla survived multiple hits from it. The aliens even refer to CZ as the "mightiest one" out of all the kaiju they mind controlled.

I think I remember hearing somewhere that Shin Godzilla only roars when in extreme pain. Honestly that makes me feel more bad for him in this fight since Legendary Godzilla doesn't fuck around
Oh boy that's where *I* shine. So let me make a full review of this based on two copy-pastas I've made.
So here goes, let's go over each Kaiju on their own. I'll be covering their main feats and abilities in this part.
first the one that's got less content, Shin Gojira:
-Fast adaptation. Shin Gojira can evolve "stopgap measures" to take care of obstacles that it could not take care of before. This also includes regeneration, although it is relatively slow (the regeneration from a single cell does not count as this is from a delete scene of the movie, therefore non-canon). And if left enough time can evolve in a whole new form that makes it much more powerful (although probably with limits. The "god Shin" concept art not being relevant as it's just that, a concept art. So not canon). However this comes at the cost of leaving Shin Gojira extremely vulnerable.
-Resistance to most conventional weaponry. Shin Gojira is able to resist tank shells and comparable weaponry. Although this resistance stops at bunker-busting bombs and higher. It is necessary to note that Shin's dorsal spines also have a much lower resistance than the rest of its body and will take major damage if hit there.
-Multi-directional beam attacks. Shin Gojira can use its Atomic Breath to attack in pretty much all directions, making it so it has no real blind spot.
-Powerful Atomic Breath. Shin Gojira has an Atomic Breath that can cut buildings with ease and that is extremely precise. However, as Shin Gojira has not been seen to destroy more resiliant objects, we cannot know for sure that its Atomic Breath is as strong as it could hint. Shin's Atomic Breath is also one of its main weaknesses as, once it is done firing it, it has to enter a "dormant" state where it will be completely vulnerable for entire days, so if it does not kill or disable its enemy before emptying its "energy reserves", it will effectively be out of the fight.
-Great range. Shin Gojira, due to its extremely long tail, has a great range of attack where it can deny any Kaiju that can't overpower it from approaching it. However if a Kaiju does get past that tail, Shin Gojira is completely defenseless in melee combat and has no way of getting back to a safe distance aside from its Atomic Breath (mostly its back beams.)
I think that covers most of Shin Gojira's abilities. Now for Monsterverse Gojira:
-Lots of experience. MV Gojira is millions of years old, it has fought many Kaiju, giving him a clear advantage in combat knowledge.
-Extreme durability. MV Gojira is able to not only survive nuclear strikes from things as powerful as the Castle Bravo nuclear bomb, but as it can be seen in the Godzilla: Awakening Visual Novel, MV Gojira can also survive, without any damage, a direct collision with an asteroid that caused the Permian extinction that killed 98% of all life on Earth, which would make that asteroid stronger than the KT extinction asteroid which made around 70% of all life on Earth go extinct, including non-avian dinosaurs. Said asteroid being estimated at (from what my trusty friend Google tells me) around 5.8e25 Joules for the upper estimates. This has an equivalent of around 11950 *teratons* of TNT. For reference, Little Boy which was dropped on Hiroshima was registered at 15 kilotons. I don't think I need to tell you how that's a bit more than withstanding a few bunker buster bombs.
-Versatile weaponry. While MV Gojira does not have the wide area coverage that Shin Gojira has, it has a more varied arsenal in that it can also fight in melee, underwater, if his dorsal plates are critically damaged he is able to perform nuclear pulses and, under certain conditions, can enter a Thermonuclear mode that makes him way more powerful (I will not be taking Thermonuclear mode in this review, however, as it'd make the battle even more unbalanced than I think you can see it already is.)
-Powerful arsenal. MV Gojira has an Atomic Breath that can cut buildings easily as was shown in Godzilla VS Kong, but that also has massively explosive and knockback properties as can be seen in all 3 of the Legendary Godzilla movies. MV Gojira's beam was also shown to be able to keep up with extremely fast Kaiju like Kong in the middle of Hong Kong, showing that it has great accuracy too. But that's not all, MV Gojira's Atomic Breath was shown to be able to, in around 30 seconds (as is stated in the novelization of Godzilla VS Kong), dig to the center of the Earth. Something which, after calculating it on my own by calculating the force it'd require to destroy that much material in so little time, gives a rough power output of of 1.5e22 Joules or 3.6 teratons of TNT. Needless to say it's a bit stronger than just cutting buildings, even if it is a pretty exceptional feat as it did drain a sizable amount of MV Gojira's strength. But *that's not all* , MV Gojira is also able to fight effectively in melee too and even prefers to do so as was shown in the movies, which puts him at a direct advantage. Because MV Gojira has fought Kaiju like Monster Zero, or King Ghidorah if you prefer, which was 40% heavier than himself (MV Gojira is said to be 100k tons in King of the Monsters, Monster Zero is said to be around 140k tons) and most definitely heavier *and stronger* than Shin Gojira. So MV Gojira would have no trouble getting up close and personal with Shin Gojira.
-Great speed. MV Gojira may not be the most agile of Kaiju, but it's certainly an extremely fast one as, in a full sprint, it was able to clear around 3/4 if not more of the length between the shore to the Boston stadium in just around 10 seconds. Said length being a whole 7.5km, around 4.2 if you only take 3/4 of it . This means that MV Gojira was going at an absurd 1512km/h, that's past freaking mach one just to give a comparison. So yeah, MV Gojira is fast.
-High intelligence. MV Gojira was shown to do very humanlike things such as laugh, smile and use tactics in his battles (IE: using his tail to slam Hokmuto in a building). This shows that MV Gojira is not just a "wild animal" and that he can strategize.
And I think that covers most of MV Gojira's abilities too. So what verdict can I have based on all of this ?
It's a complete curbstomp is what it is !
Poor Shin Gojira has absolutely no real win-con here as he gets outpowered, outsped, outwitted and outexperienced. There is absolutely nothing Shin Gojira can do to win. The only glimmer of hope that Shin Gojira would have in this battle would be to evolve before dying, however this will not be happening as MV Gojira is much too powerful to leave Shin alive for that long. He will not leave Shin the time to evolve any major countermeasure. And it's not even sensible to say that "but Shin as it is stands a chance !" because Shin Gojira does not compare on a single metric to MV Gojira.
In the end, MV Gojira was Shin Gojira's demon and showed the mutated abomination who the true king of the monsters was. The winner is MV Gojira.
Now that I'm done with this, I absolutely love the song too ! It absolutely has that feel of a titanic clash between two massive Kaiju. And while I'd have enjoyed hearing more recognisable themes such as, obviously, Godzilla's main theme or even some of Shin Gojira's themes like Who Will Know ? or Persecution of the Masses, the earlier might be a bit "overdone" and the latter would be hard to include in this. Entire song also has the perfect mix of the Shin Gojira atmosphere and MV Gojira atmosphere with the slower chants for Shin and the much heavier percutions and guitars for MV.
If there's one passage I absolutely *adore* however, it's the entire 0:57-1:32 segment as it absolutely has the feel of a brutal brawl between both Kaiju (even if, well, Shin Gojira can't really brawl. But it's fun to imagine) and it also sounds so damn good.
I'd also imagine that the whole 2:35-3:10 segment would be the buildup for Thermonuclear Gojira to show up with a final clash between the two Kaiju where Thermonuclear Gojira finally overpowers Shin via using its signature pulses, completely evaporating the mutated monster and then going back to the sea at 3:45.
Overall an absolutely stunning work and a great (even if massive stomp) matchup that I'd love seeing done just for the animation potential it has !
PS: in case it's not visible from my complete over-analysis of this above, I've debated on this matchup *a lot*, the only other one I've debated more on being Final Wars Gojira VS Monsterverse Gojira (which is another win for MV Gojira but that's another debate). So by now I'm used to any and all arguments thrown at me by Shin Gojira-side people and I'm really happy it finally came in handy.

Thanks. As I said in the OG comment this along with another matchup are the two matchups that I’ve debated the most on so seeing it be done as a full commission gave me the perfect opportunity to spread the knowledge a bit.

As awesome as they both are, Legendary probably takes this one easily with better feats, he can just blast and tear Shin to shreds before he has any chance of adapting significantly.

Okay, this fight can go either way honestly... If Shin is given enough time, it will just evolve past anything Legendary G can dish out, while Legendary G can go for a quick kill with his superior stats off the bat.
Time is the biggest factor here.

And although he has gone up against numerous adversaries, from the aggressive Angiris, the mighty King Ghidorah, the destructive Destroyah, and even King Kong, this mighty monster has yet to meet a worthy rival.
Boomstick: Luckily for him, there’s been many more Godzillas over the years, ranging from the Heisei Anti-Hero to that god-awful Tristar terror! Thankfully we’re pitting east vs west with more recent and iconic versions of the Kaiju King himself: The Alpha Titan of Legendary’s Monsterverse and the Shin Abomination of the Reiwa Era! In a world of gods and monsters, there can only be one TRUE alpha king! He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!
Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
This track makes the fight sound terrifying but also awe inspiring. Personally I'd rather be as far away from these two as possible if they were fighting.

No matter who wins, two things are for sure, this track seriously slaps hard, and there will be a lot collateral damage everywhere.
This is a pretty interesting track and while I would have loved to hear a bit of Who Will Know (Tragedy) or Persecution of the Masses, this is fire 💕🔥

Legendary Godzilla takes the win. Why? He’ll kill Shin before he can evolve any further especially with his nuke transformation.
Not to mention Legend has better feats.
Sure, can see Legendary winning the fight. But it’s getting Shin to STAY dead is the problem. In a deleted scene in Shin Godzilla, it shows the pieces that were broken off from the bombs start to grow eyes and teeth.
So I do agree that Legendary would will the Death battle, it’s only a matter of years (or even months) before shin grows back.
Shin: Damaged by a bunker buster

@@ethanemerson4862 yeah but the thing is that it was a *deleted* scene. As in not in the movie, so that feat doesn't really work. Plus the fact that Shin Godzilla gets hurt by regular military weaponry shows that it wouldn't take long for Legendary to kill him with just an atomic breath or 2 since his beams can make a straight hole down to hollow Earth in one go. That and it's not likely that Legend would leave Shin as a corpse after likely seeing that it evolves, that and I'm fairly confident that he knows how to double tap after seeing Ghidorah skill kicking with even one of his heads still on

At the end, Shin Godzilla blasts the entire city and its surrounding with its multi-beams all over the place, hitting Legendary Godzilla in the process as it roars in pain.
As the clouds engulf the area surrounding Shin Godzilla, it was dragged into the fading clouds, revealing for Legendary Godzilla to open Shin's jaw and uses his atomic breath inside him like with the MUTO.
I like how the last notes are also similar to the theme played during Godzilla killing the MUTO
Imaging Legendary just sitting there for 72 hours waiting for Shin to release the attack just for that to happen would be funny asf

The cities lay in rubble as innocent bystanders clean the wreck that was caused by the destruction of the mutating lizard creature Gojira as the camera pans to show the frozen creature has gone back to his 2nd form when suddently a nuclear incident in one of the plants causes it to emit monstruous amount of heat which finally unfreezes Shin.
The Kamata kun goes in a rampage tearing buildings up till he reaches the coastline beach but something stops it, far in the sea a giant silhouette of a 119 metter creature emerges from the water as it stomps to where Kamata kun is. The King of Monsters Legendary Godzilla has showed up.
Due to the size difference Godzilla makes short work of Kamata chucking him in the ocean after slaming it into buildings

Shinagawa attempts to dropkick Godzilla but he dodges and grabs Shinagawa by the legs and hits him in the ground and keeps him pinned while roaring at him

Shinagawa spits Blood at Godzilla blinding him and headbutts him while bitting his arm but the Godzilla only gets angry as he starts pummeling an entire port with shinagawa on his arm and throws him into the sea again this time however he threw Shinagawa in a place with nuclear trash as godzilla turns around a loud growl catches his attention from the sea a dark coloured tail surfaces from the sea and then a dark 118 metter horrifying looking reptile comes out Shin Godzilla or Gojira

Gojira emits another roar and running hits godzilla and begins to drag him into the sea a map of japan shows where these two went, they reach fukuoka as Gojira throws Godzilla out of the sea

Gojira angrily stomps Godzilla but Godzilla grabs his foot and throws him to the ground and tries to bite him but from Gojira's tail a group of humanoids jump to godzilla's face and shin rams godzilla into hunreds of buildings and finally crashes him into a skyscrapper before his mouth jaw unhinges and emits a dark smoke on godzilla's face which turns into fire

The skyscrapper collapses on both of them, Gojira comes out fine but there is a lot of smoke not letting him see suddently he sees something blue, the smoke dissipates as Godzilla throws atomic breath at Gojira

fire concetrates into a literal laser which gojira tries to cut godzilla in half it hits godzilla making a deep burn in the chest godzilla tackles gojira in order for him to stop him from shooting the
laser but his tail sprouts a mouth which also shoots a laser right into godzilla's face gojira stomps on godzilla's head thinking it got the best of him gojira scales a mountain only to see

Gojira hears something behind him and turns around Godzilla stands in front of him but he's bright with an orange lightning as godzilla had absorbed the nuclear power burning godzilla was back gojira turns around and shoots his purple lasers from his back it collides and does some damage to godzilla but not enough as he creates a pulse which burns gojira and makes him roar in pain.
Gojira incredibly angry decides to end this once and for good and...............

@@justmyluck624 she could take the W but it's a maybe, judging by their skills imo, they're both even in weapon wise depending how they use them as getting around, and in terms of close fight, while Jimmy trained in forms of combat in a short time and has beaten a boxer Bif, street delinquants, and manipulators like Gary, Ayano on the other hand has also trained in short time as well, but to think realistically, (unlike Jimmy) Ayano was self taught to kill giving her real life experiences (i believe testing or gain more skills in real life experience [non-training] or in dangerous situations is quicker than training 'cause in training you know your not in danger or have to quickly use/master skills and fight for your life so a trainer can just take things lightly/casually)
Off topic: like Achilles said in Assassin's Creed 3, "The TRAINING we done here is all well and good, but EXPERIENCE is a better teacher by far"
Sure while Jimmy may have street experience as a delinquant himself but Ayano has experience in killing (apart from her using her enviroments/atmosphere or manipulate others for her advantage), making her more experince but that's just my opinion

Since this is one of my favourite versus tracks featuring Godzilla and I've just recently watched all of the Monsterverse movies and Shin Godzilla, I wanted to give my two cents on this matchup between Shin Godzilla and Monsterverse (or Legendary as it says in the title) Godzilla (to make this less confusing I'll refer to them as Gojira & Godzilla respectively).
Yeah, as much as I really liked his movie, Gojira's not walking out of this fight alive. Not counting the 4D movie where he fought Shin Ghidorah and Eva Unit 01 Gojira doesn't have enough experience fighting things of similar size, not to mention experience overall with Godzilla being Ancient in comparison. While his regeneration and evolution process is impressive, it won't help him if he can't keep up with a massive beast known to move at 322 kph (or approx 200 mph) or who's atomic breath can puncture a hole through the Earth's crust and (this latter one being quite frequent) massive clouds, whereas Gojira is noted by Toho to be among the slowest variations of the King Of The Monsters. And while his bio radar might make it hard to sneak up on him and his own atomic breath forming through his dorsal fins and tail as well as his mouth might give Godzilla pause, Godzilla isn't really known for his sneak attacks and the latter is radioactive energy (which Godzilla can absorb to heal or make himself stronger). As for the thermonuclear blast that Godzilla has, considering that the characters in Shin Godzilla said that Gojira wouldn't be likely to survive a thermonuclear warhead (one noted to be much stronger than the bombs dropped in Hiroshima & Nagasaki) Godzilla could more than likely use it if he has more than enough radiation to feed off of (which all I'll say without spoiling Godzilla X Kong is he is able to use it again, it's not a one time thing for him to have only been used against Ghidorah).
Gonna he’s honest, think people are really overselling Shin’s evolutionary abilities. Legendary Godzilla has a huge power advantage over Shin Godzilla from what we’ve seen of Shin. All he needs to do is blast and keep blasting until there’s nothing left. Not to mention, Legendary Godzilla can also increase his power by feeding off of radiation, of which he would be supplied plenty of with if he were to face Shin.

I don't think the Godzilla from _Godzilla in Hell_ was supposed to be Legendary Godzilla. IIRC his appearance was modelled after the Godzillas from the Kiryū duology and _Final Wars_ , and he died fighting SpaceGodzilla.

Legendary would never be able to defeat Shin for good.
Legendary would have to atomize Shin, he's like Cell from DBZ, as long as there's at least the smallest piece left, he'll regenerate. Legendary also wouldn't have access to his Thermo Nuclear form, as that was a temporary amp given to him by Mothra for the most part, as well as serizawa's nuke. In a strict 1v1, he'd never get that ability, which is his only definite way of destroying Shin, if it even does the job due to Shin's durability
Shin's adaptability is also downplayed. In roughly an hour, not even, he was able to go from fully aquatic, to growing arms and standing upright and running, growing as he went. And later, immediately developed the Atomic Breath as he was hit by bunker bombs(he did not have this prior to being attacked). People claim Legendary would win before Shin adapted, however given what we've actually seen, that's very unlikely. Especially since Shin has been shown to actually adapt in mid combat (such as when he developed the Atomic Breath as stated prior, and developed the tail beam to better pinpoint and attack the drones above him)
The only downside to Shin is his speed, intelligence and the need to recharge. However, as said before, without his Thermo form, Legendary would never defeat Shin permanently unless he knew about Shin's regen prior and decided to blast every atom of his body, which he wouldn't.
All this to say, Legendary ragdolls Shin (getting cut by beams) and "kills" him, utterly owning him, before Shin ups the anty and begins to put up a fight. Perhaps Legendary still wins this round (which i agree with mostly) maybe ripping Shin's head off or something....before later, Shin Godzilla evolves and reverses the deal on Legendary in one way or another. (You could argue Legendary gets Thermo possibly due to Shin himself with the amount of radiation he produces, however I feel that wouldn't exactly be enough, and even if it was, I feel he wouldn't get the chance as he'd defeat Shin too quickly, if its bloodlusted anyway. Or maybe he does, i just feel that it's not as likely idk)
Shin Godzilla has no AP Advantage, is Slower and his Regen can be countered by Legendary Goji literally incinerating him to death via Atomic Pulse or his Breath alone.
@@Running9750 his Breath wouldn't do that, not to mention his Pulse is the combination of multiple amps, so not only is it not his base, or applicable in a normal circumstance, but he didn't actually finish the job with it
@@TheSuperGooberLegendary’s breath melted into the center of the earth within minutes. And he also got even stronger since his last appearance. Shin’s best chance is his regeneration and even then, a couple beams should do the job.

This fight would never end pretty much cause if legendary kills form 4 shin just adapts to what legendary does and it comes back even stronger but legendary won’t back down and will eventually find a way
My favorite Godzilla this track is Epic and by the way just in case anyone want to know who wins this then I will tell y'all that Legendary Godzilla have a much higher stat level then Shin Godzilla have and he have more abilities that put him above Shin. His Atomic Breath alone would probably one shot Shin he blast a Hole thought Earth like it was nothing so that put him far above Shin, and well Legendary is design for Combat Shin little arms would do him no good in anyway.
Shin Godzilla wins this. People forget that he evolves to counter everything. Unless Godzilla incinerates his corpse shin will always come back with more and more counters to godzilla

the abominations are shin's 5th form, but the weird whale head is supposed to look like a cross between shin and legendary's heads

I think that's suppose to be Shin's tail with the whale head being a cross between the heads of both Shin and Legendary's but I also noticed the fiery glowing cracks snaking across it also must be Legendary's burning form. Still an awesome cover.
I really like Shin but I'd have to agree Legendary takes the win due to more feats. But supposedly Shin is also a mass of possibilities thanks to his adaptability, who knows what could happen if Shin got into a proper battle.. Other than with the Evangalion units and Shin Ghidorah.
