his sword being an Argent blade would be fricking OP, come to think of it why aren't people modding cloud into the doomslayer? granted Ganondorf works fine but modding Cloud's Broad sword into the crucible and having it be more of "doomguy's" moveset would make alot of sense (honestly doomslayer for being the final deluxe costume shouldve had both Brawler and Swordfighter styles along with a handful of music from both the old and new games)

I want a game where every character gets a kick ass theme, and facing them against each other makes the battle music a mix of both characters themes and it shifts to sound more like the theme of the winning character depending on health (Example: one character falls to 50% health the theme of the 100% hp character dominates the track)
Hmm, interesting idea, kind of like how MGR has the vocal tracks that dynamically come in and out depending on what you're doing in the fight, but instead of toggling vocal tracks, it alternates leitmotif leads
It's not exactly this, but in the game No Straight Roads, the main conflict has to do with EDM vs Rock. The bosses all represent some aspect of EDM, and their boss themes are done in the style of their respective subgenres. As the main characters turn the battle more in their favour, the boss theme starts to shift to a more rock-and-roll cover.
This is a really cool idea....I can imagine feeling more on edge as the music starts to shift towards the boss if I am losing, and feeling more "YYYYEEAAAHHHHH!!!" when my character's theme starts drown out the other. Hmmmmm!
There is a game that does this called Them's Fightin' Herds. I wouldn't exactly call the music kickass, but there are some bangers in there sprinkled around. How it works is that each stage has a set theme, and every character in the game has an instrumental style associated with them. Whoever's winning gets their instruments played. I think the system is implemented almost seamlessly, so it's definitely a solid concept and can be done.

Doom Guy and Sephiroth's battle would be the most awesome thing ever. It would probably be very long, brutal, and unbelievably explosive. Spehiroth pulling apart reality to attack and Doomguy hookshotting from whatever debris is around to get the upper hand and move around Sephiroth's larger attacks.

@@mesalgearsolid I mean, the slayer literally fought in hell for eons (a dimension that can corrupt physically and mentally pretty much any living being that enters it), and also killed the devil which used to conquer entire dimensions that he originally created, i think he has a good chance.

@@acecanti4175 I don't know who would win, honestly. Neither of them have good means to kill the other. The Slayer has quite literally killed the devil himself, so he's more than a match for anything sephiroth can throw at him. But with the unfathomabe power our jenova swordsman possesses, along with having ways of persisting through a supposed death and potentially infinite healing magic, sephi might be able to hold off or stall the Slayer long enough to get the heals off. Both of them would have to make full use of everything in their arsenal. Though, with how sephiroth seems to somehow only really be susceptible to Cloud, I'd imagine it'd be two fights. One ending in a draw, the other with the Slayer returning with a freshly forged Buster Crucible.

@@SolusArmatura Yeah, the "Angel's and God" are ridiculously weak though, it's not that crazy of a feat (he literally just kills them by shooting them, usually with guns that don't have any sort of divine power, they are just ordinary weapons from the military of his world). Sephiroth can pretty much just nuke a solar system whenever he wants... Doomguy would try, but he would fail miserably.

I've always wanted to see an FFVII Doom mod where you're Barret, the guns are all his gun-arm attachments, and all the demons are replaced by Shinra troopers and mutants.

The amount of songs ive wanted to hear in doom style is so big, i never thought id get any of them honestly, thanks to you now i can hear a handful of them, kinda like a dream come true, super excited for the future of this genre

The disembodied voice said to the slayer, making all to clear it's disgust at his actions. The Doomsalyer was tuning it out at that moment, as Sephiroth, the angel the voice mentioned stood in front of him. The Angel seemed to watch the Doomslayer with an anticipation that was not anything like the fear that the Slayer had grown so accustomed to. As the Angel eyed the Doomslayer with blade in hand, it was clear that Sephiroth wanted to face the Slayer, as if he too were driven by his own desire for violence. So the Doomslayer brought up his weapon to show that he would not back down from the fight the ardent angel wanted so much. After all, the Doomslayer refused to be stopped in his war against hell, no matter who or what stood in his way. A possible intro to a hypothetical boss battle I thought up after I saw this and remembered one of the Doom Eternal trailers. Also, Ardent Sephiroth would look dope. Edit: I updated this post to better reflect the setting of Doom Eternal.
Imagine a collab between Bethesda and Square Enix, and The One-winged Angel turns around as you enter the Last boss chamber, and he looks at you, with a smile, and says something like; What were you expecting someone else!? And this music starts, as he takes flight and charges at you.

I’d say that Sephiroth has the edge of having illusion magic and speed, but I think Slayer would be able to get around that pretty easily. I’d say that it would be pretty even.
@@Rebel_Friend This fight sounds genuinely entertaining, and they actually have brutally similar power levels. I do think the Slayer takes the cake because of his absolutely absurd physical feats. Oh and on top of literally being blessed with the power of God, the Praetor Suit is downright impenetrable
That being said, Sephiroth is stronger than most demons he's fought; illusion magic probably wouldn't work on the Slayer, because he has an incorruptible soul. Supernova may cause the Slayer to lose hope, though, as it's literally the Earth being destroyed in a solar explosion, but that's about all I can think of
When two unstoppable force meet, we are not pondering on who will win. We are left to wonder on how long the realm would be able to exist during the terrible clash.

I don't know about anyone else, but the majority of this version of the song, some bits more than others, give me the feeling that A: this song is actually happening in whatever boss battle this is, rather than just being for the player, the characters hear it as well, and B: whatever boss this is has some power over time. for example, 2:34 gives me the vibes that the boss has become some kind of temporal black hole and is dragging the flow of time away from the rest of reality as they fight. and then the "Veni veni venias, neme mori fachias" bit is the boss and the protagonist fighting in whatever void or hellscape the world becomes once time is removed from the equation.
seeing that doomguy is now a mii, we can probably make sephiroth and doomslayer fight against each other on super smash bros ultimate with this music playing in the background

The Slayer has quite literally killed the devil himself, so he's more than a match for anything sephiroth can throw at him. But with the unfathomabe power our jenova swordsman possesses, along with having ways of persisting through a supposed death and potentially infinite healing magic, sephi might be able to hold off or stall the Slayer long enough to get the heals off. Both of them would have to make full use of everything in their arsenal. Though, with how sephiroth seems to somehow only really be susceptible to Cloud, I'd imagine it'd be two fights. One ending in a draw, the other with the Slayer returning with a freshly forged Buster Crucible.
These two would be an UNSTOPPABLE duo

@@SolusArmatura Yeah, the "Angel's and God" are ridiculously weak though, it's not that crazy of a feat (he literally just kills them by shooting them, usually with guns that don't have any sort of divine power, they are just ordinary weapons from the military of his world). Sephiroth can pretty much just nuke a solar system whenever he wants... Doomguy would try, but he would fail miserably.

The Doomsalyer was tuning it out at that moment, as Sephiroth, the angel the voice mentioned stood in front of him. The Angel seemed to watch the Doomslayer with an anticipation that was not anything like the fear that the Slayer had grown so accustomed to. As the Angel eyed the Doomslayer with blade in hand, it was clear that Sephiroth wanted to face the Slayer, as if he too were driven by his own desire for violence. So the Doomslayer brought up his weapon to show that he would not back down from the fight the ardent angel wanted so much. After all, the Doomslayer refused to be stopped in his war against hell, no matter who or what stood in his way.
A possible intro to a hypothetical boss battle I thought up after I saw this and remembered one of the Doom Eternal trailers. Also, Ardent Sephiroth would look dope.

I’d say that Sephiroth has the edge of having illusion magic and speed, but I think Slayer would be able to get around that pretty easily. I’d say that it would be pretty even.

@@Rebel_Friend This fight sounds genuinely entertaining, and they actually have brutally similar power levels. I do think the Slayer takes the cake because of his absolutely absurd physical feats. Oh and on top of literally being blessed with the power of God, the Praetor Suit is downright impenetrable
That being said, Sephiroth is stronger than most demons he's fought; illusion magic probably wouldn't work on the Slayer, because he has an incorruptible soul. Supernova may cause the Slayer to lose hope, though, as it's literally the Earth being destroyed in a solar explosion, but that's about all I can think of

I don't know about anyone else, but the majority of this version of the song, some bits more than others, give me the feeling that A: this song is actually happening in whatever boss battle this is, rather than just being for the player, the characters hear it as well, and B: whatever boss this is has some power over time. for example, 2:34 gives me the vibes that the boss has become some kind of temporal black hole and is dragging the flow of time away from the rest of reality as they fight. and then the "Veni veni venias, neme mori fachias" bit is the boss and the protagonist fighting in whatever void or hellscape the world becomes once time is removed from the equation.
