    Hi ya mate,loved the video,iv just had a re map and had my dsg box mapped to,love it,only thing iv noticed is,as you said,before the car and box was mapped,sometimes wen slowing down then putting your foot on the gas again the gear changes would either drop down a gear like from 3rd to 2nd but sometimes stay in 2nd for That bit longer,well these small things were liveable as i new i was getting the car mapped by a very very good place “most say best in the UK” but since having all this done,yes the gear changes are faster but I’m still getting that gear mix up wen either about to stop then carry on or slowing down to take a corner and say I’m in 3rd it wil sometimes drop to 2nd but stay there much longer than it needed to be,and that’s in D mode,basically i don’t feel this has been sorted,just faster gear changes up & down

    Hi Phil just seen this video, I got a 2019 Tiguan with a 7speed DSG, when I pull off quick sometimes it revs high, it’s annoying cause it sounds like an old person riding the clutch and revving the nackers off it 😂 is this something you could help with. I may tune the car and DSG one day but I’m still on the fence 😂 Thanks in advance

      That’s a strange one! Might possibly be slipping or the dsg filter is clogged, I’d 100% have it looked at, serviced and the adaptions done to reset the bite points

      @@Phil-cooper thanks for the reply, It could be my driving, it mainly seems to do when I slow almost to a stop then get on the gas quick, I’ll get the gearbox serviced then see if that helps, it’s possible the gearbox has never been serviced before so worth doing anyway.

    Hi your videos are very well explained and good, im waiting for the second video covering SOI.
    This is because im injecting up to 12 degrees after TDC and the ideally 10 -11 degrees after TDC.
    In the other video you say that SOI should change from -26º to -27º or -28º is that what is need to change? only that cell?(-26º to 27º)solve the problem and put in safe zone?
    Another question to calculate that original ratio you did 55mg / 27º that gives 2º by 5 mgs, and why not 55mg / 32º= 1,71ª,
    what im asking is, to calculate the increment ratio in degrees we do it from the lowest value in the 55mg cells, thats(2ºdegrees), but when im calculating the TDC(-26º + 38ª) is from the higher values.thanks

      Hi, and thanks! its more the maximum EOI cant be more then around 12 degrees after TDC, you can go further but you tend to find the pressures get too much in the cylinder, get a good balance of duration and soi with the correct size injectors for the power level wanted and you will always be good!

      phil cooper thanks for answer me, I have bean studying and learning, and I went for the cupra160 map files and I noticed to achieve 35.8@5000 they went 27 at SOI , and that gives 8.8 TDC, my objective is learning how much I need for 70mg...I read about in some forums that they put these and other values but @4000, my car is an ASZ all stock, except the turbo, that I upgraded to an hybrid gtb1752, the problem is the intercooler, but I just want to learn more

    Hi Phil, in your professional opinion, which off the shelf (Apr/unitronic/TVs etc) DQ381 TCU tune seems to be the most polished for a daily driven/lightly tuned vehicle?

      Light tuned any of the above tbh, they have all spent alot of time and effort on the tunes.

      @@Phil-cooper Thanks for your response. The reason I ask is because I am getting some strange behaviour from one of the well known tunes on my dq381. Also got logs of opposing gear clutch pressure spikes - is this something you have come across in your travels?

    Do you flash dq250 mechatronics with custom software? I have a spare TDI mechatronic that I need flashed to 2.0t software

      Hi Mark, I dont think its that simple to cross flash, as the dsg holds immo info too. Might need to be flashed with something like arbrites or odis online

    Is DQ200 more difficult to remap vs DQ250? I asked a few tuners and the don't want handle with dq200

      Hi, they work differently with shift points etc, very time consuming to tune properly and they don't take alot of power.
