OMG this sounds amazing! this was probably recorded live, and they sound tight, but as humans playing sound tight, not as an aligned to grid in pro tools band. What band sounds like this nowaways?? no one. Awesome.
Their songs are way less traditionally structured, but if you want some heavy fuzzed-out psych solos from a tight-as-hell group that lives to melt your face, Acid Mothers Temple and the Melting Paraiso UFO might be for you. Plus they look like wizards and tour the US like clockwork every spring
Thank god Billy recorded as much of music as he did during this period. Because what he was doing during this period appeals to me most. He had the energy.
I first heard this song in 2019. I never really heard this type of music before growing up where im from and was introduced to this band among a couple of others from an ex . After we broke up i pretty much stopped listening to all the music she put me onto because it would bring me down. Its been years now and Idk what happened today but something popped off in my brain and I decided to type in an ode to no one which was also one of the songs I listened to a lot. This song is hands down my favorite song from them. Idk if people even consider this a song. To me it's a masterpiece. These guys really mastered their craft at the highest level. I can only imagine how much god damn fun they had playing this where ever they played it. You can really hear and feel the immense passion that these guys have. I grew up in the age of the internet, social media, and the schools I went to would have clowned tf out of me for listening to this. I never even knew what B sides were until this song. I just checked out the deluxe version of siamese dream on spotify back when I first found it. Its really sad to think that my generation didn't even really know about these guys. Sad to think that for the generation after me this will be similar to the payphone where people wont even have heard their name. Listening to this today made me realize how grateful I am for being able to find this song in particular. Grateful for being introduced to an era and culture that I probably will never understand because I wasn't there. I was living it vicariously through my ex. She was older than me and the first person I fell in love with. She really showed me a completely different world. I realize I cut it all out to avoid the bad feelings but because I cut it all out, the good went with it. I think the world in general has moved on an gems like these will be a thing of the past. Even though I wasn't there for the wild house parties, bands on every block in the neighborhood, concerts every other week, I'm grateful for being given the glimpse into some of the greatest music of all time.
Beautifully said, know that no matter what, their music is yours to enjoy, play, and share, forever....and that's quite the phenomenal thing!!!! I've only recently been getting into SP's music, after being a fan of similar from that era...but holy gosh golly damn this stuff punches in a way that can't be described. I'm thankful for my dad who introduced me (it's crazy, I've heard their songs for years in the background as a kid but never got into them being that young, about time!), as I'm sure you're thankful for your ex who introduced you! Love The Smashing Pumpkins.
Surprised this is a B side. SP has one of my favorite tones. Its so high gain its on the verge of uncontrollable but reeled in and tamed. I'm not a fan of BCs voice but his understanding of tone and songs is great.
so unreal how good this is... should of been put on the album but I love siamese dream so much I don't know what song i'd trade it with???? I think SD is a perfect album so I don't know what song could take its place.... better off as a b-side fuk it.
Honestly I would take out Sweet Sweet and put either this or Obscured in its place. Sweet Sweet is very beautiful but it felt a little too short to me. Unless that's what they were going for. But idk it felt lacking something compared to the rest of the songs.
Brian Jennings I think it's the transition of the mood between Silverfuck ans Luna, but yes, I would put Obscured for sure, I think it fits, and maybe it's one of their most beautiful songs.
No other band has b-sides this good.
+Sadland Machines try the WHO!
You are so right
Wow!!!
Manuel Rivera oasis fucking sucks
Manuel Rivera, actually I'm Canadian and I support Kim Jong un.
Pretty much one of the best takes from the bonus disc. Should be on the actual album to be honest. Just rad.
Chris Aktins
Memba that mornibg programme RAD? Good dayzz
Chamberlin 🖤
even their demos are single worthy lol

indeed. i'm so glad they were able to release so many b sides and demos finally.
The mixing for this song sounds almost identical to Quiet
Probably my fav non album track
shit gets me so fucking hyped
What a perfect drummer.
Great version

Obscured is actually a Gish outtake but was only put on the Today Single
Please, somebody share the full lyrics.....
Holy shit how is this only a B-side, this is my new favorite Pumpkins tune \M/
How is it that anybody has given this a downvote?
Can hear Sonic Youth influence
I can feel the Black Sabbath in this one especially at the bridge. If it were slowed down jt would sound very sabbath.
as much as I prefer the psychedelic version of this song, I will say this one is pretty catchy
musicaleclecto I didn't know there was another version of this song, where could I find it?
Disarm b-side
