    WHAT IS BELLY FAT:
    Belly fat is a more significant issue than the aesthetics of squeezing into last year’s skinny jeans - it’s an indicator of your overall health. There are two types of fat that sit around our midriffs. One is the subcutaneous fat - the fat under your skin that is distributed all over your body. It’s what is referred to when asked if you can pinch more than an inch. The other type is visceral fat, which surrounds all our vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and intestines.
    Visceral fat is said to be more “metabolically active” than subcutaneous fat, and researchers have found that the stress hormone cortisol significantly increases its storage. It has been strongly linked to both insulin resistance, inflammation and metabolic disease, even in those who have a normal BMI. But although it is considered more dangerous to our health, the good news is that it is easier to shift than subcutaneous fat.
    CALORIE CALCULATOR:
    Use this calorie calculator to find out how many calories you need to consume to maintain your weight. Then reduce that figure by 500 calories as explained in the diet portion size guide to start losing weight and belly fat quite quickly.

    DIET PORTION SIZE:
    To help participants reduce the amount they were eating, they were encouraged to measure portions based on the size of their hands.
    They aimed for a daily intake of,
    • Three fist-sized servings of carbohydrates
    • Two palm-sized servings of lean protein
    • Two cupped handfuls of vegetables or salad
    • Two fist-sized servings of fruit
    • Two servings of fat or oil covering the tip of the thumb
    In addition they could have 200ml/⅓ pint skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, or two 125g pots of natural or low-calorie yoghurt.

    RESULTS:
    After six weeks, the results were revealing.
    As explained in the video there was another group in the experiment - the sit-up group. They each did a daily 10-minute abdominal workout over the six-week period.
    This group didn’t lose any weight or get any healthier, but they did lose an impressive average of 2cm from their waistlines.
    But the clear winner was our group the diet-control group. This group lost an average of 3.7kg each over just six weeks. Their average waistline reduced by 5cm. Dexa scan readings showed an average of 10 per cent of their existing body fat being lost, and an impressive 20 per cent reduction in the visceral fat inside the abdomen. This group lost overall body fat as well as abdominal fat, and saw improvements in their other general health parameters too. Including resting heart rate, blood glucose, blood lipids, weight and blood pressure.

    Easy tips, 1 week result (no exercise)
    1. Drink water (8+ glasses)
    2. Eat eggs / apples / bananas to avoid starvation
    3. Reduce rice consumption if you are eating rice
    4. You can still eat fatty foods but lessen the amount
    Note: Don't rush your diet to avoid saggy skin
    Note added (Feb 5, 2021)
    Do a selfie on your first day and compare it to your 7th day. You will notice a big difference in your face. You don't need to avoid rice just lessen it because I'm eating rice too.

    Guys you don’t have to go on a diet to lose weight, just eat smaller portions , I do 3 small meals a day, don’t eat any snacks , don’t eat a lot of sugar, DRINK WATER ONLY, maybe milk and juice but soda is a HELL NO same with alcohol, work out at least 3 times a week, do a 10 min hiit ab or full body workout everyday I suggest the ab one and the full body one every other day, and if you’re losing weight I suggest body workouts if you’re skinny but got some fat, I suggest weightlifting but not having a lot of rest and putting your muscles through time under tension, it will help, and yea, don’t don’t eat like shit but you don’t needa eat fricken salads everyday, but you NEED to stay somewhat active everyday, a bike ride, or sports, or working out will be fine or even hikes or anything like that will help

    For any pre teens,teens, kids that aren’t comfortable with their weight. You should really try to switch out all juices with waters. Drink as much as you can. It really helps

    I was fit and healthy in middle school until my grandmother moved in with us. She tells me stuff like " I bought icecream", "You can have that bag of doritos in the kitchen make sure to share it","Here's some money to buy your own snacks", i have soda in the fridge take it with you", and "the pantry gave me this giant cookie cake".

    Been doing this for just under 2 weeks now with a 2 days on 1 day rest and I have gone from 13/4.5 stone to 13/2 first week I didn’t lose any weight but my stomach is getting more toned and I’m getting weight compliments from friends and family.
    I haven’t eaten the most healthiest but I have defo cut out portion sizes and snacking
    Meal plan:
    Breakfast, 3 wheetabix and a rice cake with almond milk.
    Lunch, two piece of brown toast and two scrambled eggs
    Dinner for full week contain. 1-2 chicken dishes, 1 salad, 1-2 fish and 1 pasta.
    I have added extra to my routine for fast and better improvement
    30 second up down plank
    X15 of each exercise
    And 50 star jumps after each set.
    It’s hard work but it’s really paying off, my partner didn’t see no results in herself until today she had lost 3 pounds! Stick to it and you will 1000% see results don’t skip days and enjoy your rest days don’t snack to much and if you have big portions try to cut them down and eat regularly but healthy throughout the day! 😊😊 GOOD LUCK!       I appreciate it but let's be honest here if you are fat you are ugly. Being fat is horrible I like it when people say "it's okay to be fat" and "it don't matter how much you eat" but let's be honest being fat is horrible and you shouldn't be fat. I hate being fat it's horrible I don't like it I hate it when people try to be nice and say nice things but in reality I know they don't mean it and that makes me so sad.     a few weeks ago i lost 3kg in only two days by:
    drinking a glass of water every hour
    doing a little bit of exercise
    eating slowly and in small portions :)

      your saviour is here!! it's basically impossible to loose 3kg of fat in 2 days unless your starving yourself (hope your not x). you probably only lost water weight, which is different to fat. it's healthy to loose 3kg in a month, not 2 days 😳

      @@zenith7958 sounds horrible...its definitely not easy. That's why I enjoy dirty KETO or just a Low-Carb diet. I can eat some pleasurable foods, just not sugar or wheat products. Best of luck to you and your journey.

    I’m done being over weight. I was over 270 little bit over a month ago and now I’m at 245! All I did was cut out most of the junk food in my life. Pop is a big one. water is key for life :)

    I got depressed after my marriage went south, sat around a lot, ate regularly at first...but then covid hit and sitting around became more extreme. I got the heaviest I've ever been. It was awful, I've never been heavy and wasn't use to carrying it around. I became out of breath easier and even moving got harder. I come from a place of skateboarding my entire young life, and became a runner/jogger in my adulthood. So this is what I did and continue to do.
    So simple but will take control and some exercise people.
    Go out and stock up on leafy green mix, whichever you like. Personally I love baby spinach. Stock up on chicken breast and salmon for variety. Next grab yourself a huge bag of potatoes because you're gonna be eating them a few times a day.
    Breakfast: make it liquid meal. Like green smoothie with fruit. Get creative cause that's your sugar for the day.
    Lunch: Find a mayoless potato salad recipe and make enough for a couple days. (This will be your lunch and snack)
    Dinner: mixed greens with your choice of chicken breast or salmon. Healthy dressing only. If you can find it there's a dressing made of carrots that is amazing.
    Drink lots of water throughout the day. Cut out soda and any high fructose sugar drinks. Water water water. It's ok to snack a few times throughout the day, it's good for your metabolism.
    Here's the Most important part of this. Start walking every day! If you can do 1000 or 2000 or even 3000 steps a day do it. If not do what you can and make sure to each day make your step count higher by at least a couple hundred steps, the more the better results. If you have access to a gym get in a light workout a few times a week or yoga session.
    Work your way up to either 10,000 steps a day or start running a few miles a day. You'll feel great, you'll feel high, you'll feel powerful! 💪🏽
    Do it, don't doubt it or ask questions. It's as easy as I laid it out. Message me and thank me later. Good luck y'all.

    -Only 3 meals per day! No snacks between them.
    - Make ur portion size smaller than the usual: 3x fist sized servings of carbohydrates,
    2x palmes sized servings of lean protein,
    2x cupped handfuls of vegetables or salad.
    Participants could also have 2x fist sized servings of fruit.
    200ML of skimmed off semi skimmed milk or 125 gram pots of natural or low calorie yogurt.
    After a week, I am coming back with updates!
    Day 1: the diet is going well.
    Day 2 : I lost 1 pound

    if any of you hate traditional workouts, i suggest you play just dance. i play it hours on end, and i’m so preoccupied that i don’t feel the need to snack. make sure you drink a lot of water. it doesn’t matter if you suck at dancing. best of luck fellow quarantiners.

      Same I used to have a 6 pack but I lost it during quarantine and I hate it it makes me mad so I’m trying to lose my belly fat I’m still skinny I just have a stomach now

    Guys I’m going on a diet starting tomorrow, I am around 150 pounds and 15 years old while 5 feet y’all, I have some fat in my thigh and butt but I wanna focus on my stomach. I’m going to stop eating snacks, no soda, no juice, eat fruits or yogurt for breakfast(no cereal or pancakes), salad stuff or something small for lunch, dinner will be whatever my parents make, I will just eat a small portion. I really wanna lose this weight since my stomach goes as far out as my boobs. I am a gymnast and wear a leotard often, I want to feel confident in my leotard so that’s my motivation ( also swim suits). I will also try to workout at least 3 times a week. I was doing very well 2 weeks ago but gave up for some reason. Please like or comment to bring my attention back to this comment so I can continue to stay strong! I will update anytime I have something To update. I don’t take weight though!

      I know it’s only been a week but so far so good! I don’t look at pounds and I don’t see a huge change in my stomach or any change at all but it’s only been a week. I have only drank water and my appetite isn’t very high anymore for some reason so I don’t really eat until dinner cause I wake up at like 2😂 but so far I have been keeping true to my diet. I haven’t been working out though because I have been driving back and forth everyday to a different state. But this week I stay home so I’m planning on working out for sure and working some skills! Thank u guys for the support!

    So here's some random tips I find a bit helpful...
    When you get bored play a game or go on your phone. Don't binge eat
    If you limit how much you eat your body go's into what's the word I'm looking for uhh it's basically goes into a saver mode and saves any fat from the meals you eat which your body feeds on. So don't stop eating.
    Drink A lot of water
    Switch to smaller plates and bowls
    No in between snacking

    1. Eat healthy
    2. Eat less
    3. Eat at the right time
    (Bonus: Drink more water)
    4. Train two times a day
    5. Do Cardio and heavy lifting
    6. Have fun while training and don't go to hard on yourself
    7. Sleep at least 8 hours
    8. Rest your muscle
    9. Do things that makes you happy
    10. Have the right mindset: Train for a better health! (both physically and mentally)

    what I've started doing was skipping breakfast and lunch and only eat dinner I've seen a massive change I love it so much. And if you dont know why ur gaining alot its maybe because you eat when you are bored. Have you noticed when your out with your friends you arent as hungry? Yeah its coz ur bored I suffered from this

    It’s when you eat that matters.
    Intermittent fasting is the way forward.
    18:6 is a good medium.
    Fast for 18 hours (including sleep time) eat within a 6 hour window.
    So basically skip breakfast and eat maybe between 12 noon and last meal 6pm.

      I do a similar intermittent fasting but it's 16:8 instead, and my eating window is between 12 noon and 8 pm (though i normally stop eating at 7 generally)

    I did this for 5 months, I’m so proud of the results. My waist is like Charlie delamio’s I also did a 5 minute workout consisting of push ups pull ups and leg workouts. Tysm!

    I just started my transformation this past Monday and I know I will take at least 9-12 months to complete my journey. I weigh around 175 and my goal is to be 155-160 so I can be fit not buff. It may be outrageous to some people like I should lose that weight within a 3 month period time but I’m going for is to be really fit and healthy knowing it.! 💯🤟🏽
