Myth 6/6 is win for M+ only player. I'll finally be able to reach ilvl equality with CE Mythic raiders after enough GVaults. The problem isn't Myth 6/6. The problem is M+ only players can only get ONE Myth track piece per week and I'll take that every day over never having a chance to reach the same ilvl as CE Mythic raiders
So why the heck aren't they also extending the hero track to 8/8.. Would accomplish the same goal of stretching out the gearing process but does not widen the gap between m+ and m raid while also including heroic raiders
@@claankz When you said " Would accomplish the same goal" I thought you meant INSTEAD of having Myth be 6/6 just do Heroic to 8/8 and leave Myth as 4/4. I would have no problem with them making Hero 8/8 as long as they keep Myth 6/6 so M+ can push their vault gear all the way up.
As a dev, the code lock thing at the beginning. To somewhat simplify. That "lock" will probbaly be on client side and game engine. I'm in a casual family guild. We do Normal Raid, maybe 8/9 Heroic with about 10-14 people. We do M+ up to maybe 8's (old 18's). I don't pug at all. Delves even as is, will be great to do late at night when none of my guildies are on. Or if we dont have enough for a full M+ group. In those cases currently, if I've done WQ's and LFR, I have nothing else Solo to do. It's fine to want Delves to be better, but even as is, its a form of progression that doesn't exist. We casuals just like spending time in the game. It doesn't have to be super hard or complicated to be fun. It's really just instanced WQ's.

I love this episode so much! The mix of random conversations is great. During the Cataclysm expansion, I primarily focused on PvP, with occasional dungeon runs to help the guild level up. I was constantly on Ventrilo, playing with friends in premade groups for battlegrounds, rated battlegrounds, and arenas. I created several alts like a warrior, holy paladin, and mage, and exclusively focused on PvP. There was fantastic guild and faction competition back then because everything was purely server-based. We used to have massive brawls with another PvP guild across the world whenever someone got ganked while questing. Thanks to the "Have Group, Will Travel" ability, we could summon a full party anywhere. This was also the first time I started using key bindings and macros. I remember my arms warrior had 36 key binds, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
I think the problem lies with the weekly real life time gate. If you play the game a lot and do not mythic raid, after a certain time on your main, you can NOT get any more upgrades from M+ end of dungeon and are ONLY getting gear upgrades from the vault, which starts to drain motivation to play. Doing 8 keys just for a vault feels more like a checklist chore and not really compelling. I usually quit playing after I get all heroic track pieces BiS and upgraded but never ever ever finish an entire season with full vault Myth track BiS. Ever. I am willing to do work for gear, but I want to do the work when I have time/want to do the work. I do not want to wait 15 weeks like, by that time the hype is gone, other game releases have came out, friends are doin other stuff. Why the hell are we waiting to the end of the season to push high keys because our gear is finally high enough, instead of the beginning of the patch when everyone actually wants to play the game????????
Also saying Multistrike was just like crit is crazy. Yea i mean functionally it's rng more damage, but the dopamine you get when you double cast spells is way higher, take it from an ele shaman player.

Delves were made for myself based off of every description in this podcast so far "Solo" content? Amazing. Seems like expanded world questing? I love dailies like a weirdo (I have been doing Argent Tournament for months and almost finished with all MoP dailies).
My personal opinion concerning the upgrade system is simply the requirement of lower tier crest farming. I would hope they add a system that allows you to get lower tier crests when completing higher key levels. This would make gearing alts much easier
Titanforging in the current system could be OK, a raid drops 1/8 champion for 1st boss on normal. It could be ok for that to 'titanforge' up to a 8/8 champion.
I think a warforge of 2/8 and titanforge of 4/8 would be more reasonable. If you scaled the 7 tier jump there would be people in RWF getting 6/6 myth track in the first week swinging stuff out of control.

i do have to say the majority of what i have seen in the havoc disc is not blaming Realz, it's some blaming of whoever either did or didn't replace him and much more blaming Blizz's whole process and lack of response to any feedback. Realz did great things in dragonflight for the design of DH (a couple questionable things like chaotic disposition) while also working on another class, and was very open to feedback, so im glad he got a promotion and hope he is happy with whatever he is working on now. I just wish they had assigned someone with any sense of how the class works or what the players do/dont like as his replacement, instead of what seems to be someone who never looked at DH before they got the position.
Funny how dorki says how terrible the last boss in rise is because of tons of group dmg and having to be moving yet his favorite dungeon has the epitome of that in the 3rd boss(sanguine depths) 😏
Imo 3rd in SD was way less about dodging swirlies and more about the orb and shield mechanic on higher keys. The arena is also much smaller. Last boss on Rise is absolute ass to heal since your dps are running after the adds, and you have to sit in the soaks to not kill the group.
I think one of the major things that the increased myth tracks brings, that was overlooked, is that it will naturally nerf the raid (and dungeons) week after week. One of the major criticisms of the last raid was guilds reaching the end bosses with roughly the same ilvl as Liquid, and hitting a wall. Allowing for all the gear to go 6 ilvls higher should fix that. No real downside to the 6/6 myth track for the majority of players as it is simply in addition to what we already had, and allows us to progress further than before. I would still love to see a faster acquisition rate or a catch up for alts though.
I believe another option to reduce the heating back between those who only Play m+ vs those who mythic raid is to have it where when you complete keys that give you myth track gear in your vault have a chance to upgrade your drop to myth track.
As a high rated pvper I’m looking forward to delves so i can gear up pve gear and play with my wife. My wife and I loved torghast just because we could both do it together and it had progression. She is also good at pvp but prefer scalable content. My brother and dad are also coming back to the game to play them. My best friend also mainly does solo content along side pvp so delves for my circle of people are going to be really awesome.
I think the extended mythic track is to help people outgear encounters as the season goes on. This is a direct response to Max pointing out that liquid/echo were very close to the ilvl cap when they killed fyrakk.
Add an extra layer to the discount on upgrading gear on alts and add a 50% discount on crest spending next to the already existing Flightstone discount you get from having a higher ilvl item on a specific slot on your main. Easily implemented and solves all alt gearing shenanagans.
Fully with you Max about needing a faster catch up method for alts. I will absolutely quit before doing all that regear again Also the talking over Meg is pretty wild
to expand on what max said at 33:00 what makes it even worse is when you're staring down the barrel of "okay, i need 120 myth track crests to max out my character, nice! thats like 5 dungeons and im good to go on myth track crests, but i also need 400 hero track crests to be able to use those 120 myth track crests" "okay, so now i have to either farm 25 meaningless lower tier dungeons to get those 400 hero track crests, OR i can farm 50 of the higher tier dungeon so that it caps my myth track crests before it even STARTS to drop the lower tier crests for me" the simplest solution is that instead of having to cap your crest to get the lower tier crest from that dungeon level, 2 weeks in, dungeons that drop myth also drop half as many hero track crests -> 4 weeks in they also drop champ track (or vet, i dont really know what crests are directly below hero track) -> 6 weeks in dungeons that drop myth also drop vet/champ (whichever wasn't dropped at week 4) or something along those lines, so that as you're 2 months into the patch playing an alt, you dont have to do 40 6's to get all the crests you need to upgrade gear that you're getting dropped from a 10 or a 12 or a 14, or whatever key level you're doing above the key level you have to farm crests at if you play an alt week 2, you only have to do ~20(timed) dungeons before the catchup mechanic starts if you're playing an alt week 4, now you're staring down the barrel of 40 or more before the catchup mechanic even STARTS for you, which means most of the time by the time you GET TO THE CATCHUP you've either quit the alt because you're like "holy shit this sucks" or you've already bit the bullet and went to farm the crests the natty way and are mad that you had to do 40 6s just for crests to catchup to use the crests you got out of the 10s you farmed the hero track gear in in the first place
Not sure if anyone else feels this way, but I view WoW as a hobby. I like to play it when there's hype and the guild is poppin' and tons of people online and we're pushing in raid and m+ etc etc. And I love to play in the off-season when the tourists are gone and the locals hang out and do meta achievements or farm tmogs or crank shadowlands tables...whatever. There's something to do, no matter the season. I log in to wow everyday and what I do just depends on the season. Sometimes it's fast and sometimes it's slow, but it's the game I play either way.
24:00 such an elite take from most of you guys. Like is top 1% not considered high keys? Literally every CE raider who wants to push themselves now can do that WAY better than before when you had "push weeks" You can just send keys whenver you have time for it thats like 98% of the m+ players lol I predict we will have INSANE increase in m+ keys at the +10 and above level
1:32:47 "Imagine if right smack dab at the beginning of the pandemic it was season 4 BFA" it actually was lol BFA s4 started on Jan 21st, 2020. That is essentially the start of the pandemic. I realized this because COVID is exactly why I got into WoW again in the first place, and I started up during season 4 BFA in like early to mid February since quarantine/lockdowns were starting to roll out.
Something I think they missed talking about regarding gearing alts. The fact that I had to spam 5s to get wyrm crests, while getting champion gear sucked! Atleast they changed that in TWW, now I can farm 7-8s to get hero track items and wyrms crests. I still think they should buff crest drops for alts aswell
Why has the myth track change been taken as gospel at this point ? Haven't these things been commonly tooltip bugs before? No blue post or confirmation from blizzard, right?
If you actually check the adventure guide in Retail RN myth track caps at 4 instead of 6 so either it will extend in like... a month due to leaving dragonflight fully (This sort of feels unlikely), or it was just a bug.
@@fleshhunter8703 agree with this and am kind of surprised there's no word from blizzard and everyone assuming it's not a bug. (not saying it's defo a bug either ofc).
What if they added a form of titanforging that if you did a high m+ (idk lets just say like 12-15+) there was a chance the gear at the end could drop and/or titanforge within the myth track, that way it not only gives incentive to do higher keys but also makes them still worth doing when youre at the point of gearing where you're just hoping your vault gives you an upgrade.
"Imagine if right at smackdab the beginning of the pandemic it was Season 4 BFA" wasnt that like literally what happened? S4 BFA was Jan 21 2020 and the pandemic started March 11 2020
As a heroic raider and casual M+ player, the gearing through raid and M+ as well as great vault was perfect in season 4. I always felt like I could upgrade something or get better gear by pushing a higher key. Or just get crests by doing a little lower but easier one. This new system is just going to make it take longer and basically not make me want to play M+ really at all. After raid is done, I’ll just take my alt to raids and skip M+. It’s a bigger grind for minimal gains. With warbands we are supposed to play alts and not be stuck on mains forever.
Idk Delves seems really amazing, my Dad plays every so often but retail there is a little too much happening but he told me delves are incredible simple and bearable he enjoys them... Both me and him agreed it does require them to continue developing on it
As a pug player i'm always happy for gear equity between M+ and Mythic Raiding, the mid legion nerfs to M+ gearing caused me to quit until Dragonflight this month
Copeium for sure! What happened to the whole we are taking away from the end of this to make sure the beginning and moving forward is stellar... I have a feeling this will be reoccurring and yeah we are slowly and slowly getting less for our money and getting raked over those investor coals.
@@Gaius_Sinstone yah hes still asking for that regardless lol. And i agree, having a lower max:others ratio is always good. I like max, but hes like when you shoot a machine gun in a video game, it heats up pretty fast and u have to let it cool down

I’m soooo here for the delve rant, fax no printer 😂❤
Fully with you Max about needing a faster catch up method for alts. I will absolutely quit before doing all that regear again
Also the talking over Meg is pretty wild
to expand on what max said at 33:00 what makes it even worse is when you're staring down the barrel of "okay, i need 120 myth track crests to max out my character, nice! thats like 5 dungeons and im good to go on myth track crests, but i also need 400 hero track crests to be able to use those 120 myth track crests"
"okay, so now i have to either farm 25 meaningless lower tier dungeons to get those 400 hero track crests, OR i can farm 50 of the higher tier dungeon so that it caps my myth track crests before it even STARTS to drop the lower tier crests for me"
the simplest solution is that instead of having to cap your crest to get the lower tier crest from that dungeon level, 2 weeks in, dungeons that drop myth also drop half as many hero track crests -> 4 weeks in they also drop champ track (or vet, i dont really know what crests are directly below hero track) -> 6 weeks in dungeons that drop myth also drop vet/champ (whichever wasn't dropped at week 4) or something along those lines, so that as you're 2 months into the patch playing an alt, you dont have to do 40 6's to get all the crests you need to upgrade gear that you're getting dropped from a 10 or a 12 or a 14, or whatever key level you're doing above the key level you have to farm crests at
if you play an alt week 2, you only have to do ~20(timed) dungeons before the catchup mechanic starts
if you're playing an alt week 4, now you're staring down the barrel of 40 or more before the catchup mechanic even STARTS for you, which means most of the time by the time you GET TO THE CATCHUP you've either quit the alt because you're like "holy shit this sucks" or you've already bit the bullet and went to farm the crests the natty way and are mad that you had to do 40 6s just for crests to catchup to use the crests you got out of the 10s you farmed the hero track gear in in the first place
Literally every CE raider who wants to push themselves now can do that WAY better than before when you had "push weeks"
You can just send keys whenver you have time for it thats like 98% of the m+ players lol
I predict we will have INSANE increase in m+ keys at the +10 and above level
"Soo uhh ugh, soo here's the deal" - Dr. Atnos
Me - Let's fking gooo!
Pre-poddy Dratnos is always good, but the opening line being “here’s the deal” is very good
1:32:47 "Imagine if right smack dab at the beginning of the pandemic it was season 4 BFA" it actually was lol BFA s4 started on Jan 21st, 2020. That is essentially the start of the pandemic.
I realized this because COVID is exactly why I got into WoW again in the first place, and I started up during season 4 BFA in like early to mid February since quarantine/lockdowns were starting to roll out.
Cata Heroics were fire. Some of my most fun dungeon times. Like five man raids almost
huge W for having megasett on
Growl popping off about delves is funny af
This was the best intro yet Mr dratty nos
Ya megasett!!! Woo!
When I think of PoddyC I think of some old man sitting on the toilet reading a newspaper.
Growl is, indeed, my favorite.
The Growl rant was absolutely incredible.
growl man of the people with the delve take
Idk Delves seems really amazing, my Dad plays every so often but retail there is a little too much happening but he told me delves are incredible simple and bearable he enjoys them...
If there was a way to highlight who was talking, it would be hugely helpful
Double the cat, double the chaos.
Max, did you not think to eat before the stream? Toothbrush my guy....stop using your tongue
it was nice of you guys to invite meg on to listen to the podcast
So i guess you forgot the part where this wasn’t the podcast, just clips edited from stream
@@Gaius_Sinstone yah hes still asking for that regardless lol. And i agree, having a lower max:others ratio is always good.
I like max, but hes like when you shoot a machine gun in a video game, it heats up pretty fast and u have to let it cool down
@@quintit I don’t disagree but, he didn’t ask for anything, he just implied they brought her on the podcast & didn’t let her talk, which isn’t true. It was just a stream they happened to be chatting on
@@Gaius_Sinstone i think the only part that she appeared to get talked over was growls rant, which I thought was part of the joke tbh
