Interesting angle. Personally I prefer to go sultai, using Sidisi Brood Tyrant as Commander. Mill yourself using the Petitioner. Get a tons of them on play with Bloodbond March. Reduce the cost of 1, and play a lot of them while drawing everytime you cast a creature (green effect). Seedborn muse to untap every opponent turn (Quest for Renewal and other enchantment does similar). Win with Lab Maniac. Less interesting than your version, but much more efficient (only need your deck to mill.. can be done in a couple turns only) you can get back your lab maniac with recursion effect from black/green. Glimpse of nature, Distant Melody, Creeping Renaissance, Harvest Season, Nature's Resurgence, Curse of Bounty, Locket of yesterday. Just a few cards that work well in this archetype. You just need some protection as well to be able to keep your lab maniac in play :)
I like your idea way better! Self-Mill is the solution here! I would add Taigam, Sidisi's Hand, Eternal Witness, Kessig Cagebreakers, Coat of Arms, Stoneforge Masterwork... Make it a surprising Human Tribal Deck! OH! And Ulvenwald Mysteries !!!
Yeah I like that idea much more. I've seen a number of people mention using Sidisi as the commander, and now after seeing you explain how the deck would play I understand! Dang now I kind of want to build this deck! There's also Murkfiend Liege, Intruder Alarm, and of course Paradox Engine for untapping all of your Petitioners over and over.
I prefer make it Sidisi Brood Tyrant deck and make it a Human Tribal Deck. I made this decklist below, they have a nice synergy with each other. Its much more efficient and fun! IMPORTANT: Dont pick cards that doesnt allow you to choose what you put in the graveyard unless absolutely necessary OR ON BUDGET (I'll explain later). Your Practiced Practionners are already doing random milling after all and you need cards to support them. Your commander dont make that much zombie token by himself, it create ONE zombie even if three creature enter the graveyard in the same time. And dont go below 20 Persistant Petitionners for the theme and deck to work well. I would go with 10 Island, 10 Forest and 16 special lands, a lot of them dual lands giving you dark mana. You have VERY few cards that need a black mana. This will safe you money on dual lands. I put lots of drawing power in there and cards to get back cards in graveyard to get back lands in your grave but buy Life from the Loam if you have the money for it. It boost that deck strenght a LOT! Possible upgrade include Westvale Abbey and Intruder Alarm. Budget versions of this deck include cards that allow you to put cards from your library in your graveyard like Grisly Salvage, Grapple from the Past or... Fact or Fiction. Our creatures does that already so I avoided them but its fine for a budget version. The goal of the deck is to mill yourself, get cards in your graveyard, put a lot of creature on the battlefield to protect you. Its similar to a token deck strategy but Parallel Lives is not needed as its not pure token strategy, its mainly self-mill and human tribal. You either win with tribal cards that boost your Humans strenght (so bring their life points to 0) or with Laboratory Maniac. Spidersilk Armor and Wonder are a must against flying creatures. Assault Formation make your Persistant pititionner have more punch and may screw with your opponents strategy. I wouldnt remove those. Quest for Renewal is less then 5$ but ITS A MUST in this deck. Its better then Intruder Alarm in this deck and it cost less. Sidisi Brood Tyrant (Commander) 36 lands (But consider buying Buried Ruins and Svogthos, the Restless Tomb, Mortuary Mire and Dakmor Salvage at the very least!) 23x Persistent Petitioners Wonder Elder of Laurels Deranged Assistant Eternal Witness Laboratory Maniac Kessig Cagebreakers Werebear Splinterfright Tireless Tracker Rhystic Study Sylvan Library Quest for Renewal Ulvenwald Mysteries Assault Formation Nantuko Shrine (the best card in the deck!) Just played a game yesterday with my Lazav Mill deck where I got him to no cards in library but he got out a 16/16 trample haste and knocked me down to -1 life. Still a fun game though
I have run 33 Shadowborn Apostles and it has been pretty OK. Notice in the decklist I had to cut the thrumming stone because I honestly believe I was too low.
I was surprised to not see the Isochron Scepter, Dramatic Reversal, Mana Rock combo to infinitely use the petitioners with. A rock like Sol Ring would be perfect since you tap it for mana and tap as many petitioners as possible, then use the 2 mana you get from the Sol Ring to activate the Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal exiled to it to untap everything (including the Isochron Scepter and Sol Ring), therefore allowing you to mill them to your hearts content.
I have no desire to build or play this deck but this video was still compelling and fun to watch. The quality of the pieces on this channel is just amazing.
So I just saw this for the first time....My thought process just changed in how I will few this deck idea. I think you are absolutely right for making the commander zur the enchanter. I plan on building a rough draft for all the new possibilities now that I'm opened up to a third color. Oh man I am now beyond excited!
I have a list together on tapped out for my persistent petitioners deck that I’m slowly picking up the pieces for. Ever since the card was spoiled I have made it my life mission to build the best petitioners deck my mind can muster. You added the final piece of the puzzle with Kindred Discovery. In all my card draw tribal searching some how this card evaded me. I went with Momir Vig as the commander. I wanted green for all the untapping shinanigans and for beast whisperer. My goal was to build it in a way where I could use multi card combos to make a duck tape version of thrumming Stone supposing I couldn’t get thrumming Stone out. This card synergies perfectly.
You could toss in Isocron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal with enough advisers and a few rocks and you get another infinite mill. You could also add Jace's Archivist once you get a secret salvage off you could toss the Petitioners to the grave and revive them all with a Living Death. Which wouldn't be difficult if you had a way to net infinite mana. With infinite mana you can Mind Grind the table to death. If you toss in an Undead Alchemist you can exile all the titans and creatures that reshuffle.
I know that I must build a deck with Persistent Petitioners the moment I saw it into the spoilers. At the same time, I was hoping for a deck tech from you. Thanks DJ!
If we want to stay a little longer in magical Christmas land, cards like Tendrils of Agony and Brain Freeze work as a nice payoff to casting all of those Persistent Petitioners with Thrumming Stone since each Petitioner adds to the storm count. Also, I would add cards that can exile graveyards. There are a lot of graveyard decks out there and you don't want to accidentally help them.
This is a really sweet deck idea. When I first started brewing around the petitioners, I was originally thinking about using Brago as the commander, because the mass flicker untaps all your advisors and the 2nd activated ability doesn't require haste. The addition of black and ability to tutor for these sweet enchantments does make this deck a lot sweeter though. I think Brago would still be sweet in the 99. You could also consider cards like Altar of the Brood if you add more flicker shenanigans in there.
I like that you choose Zur and i unterstand this... Personal I choosed Angus MC as my commander not just for the fog but more for all the great green untap spells! In green we got cards like: Awakening, Seedborn Muse, Murkfiend Liege, Quest for Renewal etc. over all i dig way more down to the untap stuff with other one time only untap like: Benefactor's Draught or To Arms! + the bonus of drawing a new card
I'm also building a bant version and leaning heavily on the "untap all my creatures every turn" strategy, but I chose Rubinia Soulsinger as the commander. She's supposed to work like a betterish Maze of Ith, and also has sacrifice sinergies (like Altar of Dementia)
Alexander Clamilton is my pet commander for this deck. It just fits so well flavor-wise. If I were to seriously build the deck, I think access to green is mission-critical because seedborn muse effects
I like the idea of engine but one problem is that its 5 and not to mention an artifact part of the reason he used zur was for enchantments ya it's great but alarm is just better in the sense that its tutorable with zur and not to mention just cheaper to cast
ALL OF MY FAVORITE MAGIC CONTENT CREATORS HAVE BEEN UPLOADING VIDEOS TODAY! thanks DJ for all the great videos and I’ll consider this a birthday present from you so thank you for the video and keep making more!
Awesome job DJ, I think I might give it a shot, I've been thinking about a deck like this but didn't really think of the overall direction to go, and I think you've shown me the way lol.
On the topic of mill being a hard thing to pull off, especially in Commander: Some decks can do it well but that's not common. Even less common is decks like my General Tazri deck, which is a very unique method of mill that I want to eventually explore more. Halimar Excavator is an Ally that whenever it or any Ally enters under your control, target opponent mills equal to the number of Allies you control. Panharmonicon doubles your ETBs, so on the drop of a hat my deck can turn into a mill deck that's effectively paying 1-3 mana to mill my opponent upwards of 12-20 cards, which is hilarious and insane. So basically just make a deck that surprises your opponent by pulling a vanishing act with their deck
My thought for the general? Riku of Two Reflections. With Riku, every petitioner is now two, which speeds things up. Not to mention Riku also lets you use things like Parallel Lives and Doubling Season to speed up amassing your petitioners, Seedborn Muse and Murkfiend Liege so you can mill every turn, and even run Rowan Kenrith. If you get her emblem, mill 24 every time you activate your petitioners.
I was thinking about building a Persistent Petitioners deck with Brudiclad as the General. Seems like being able to make a token of one and then turning all your tokens into petitioners seems like it might be able to get like half of someone’s deck down in one turn, maybe even more.
For those who are willing to spend a little extra cash, Patriarch's Bidding is by far my favorite reanimator spell. Also, I'd use menomic betrayal and combo it with mana dorks/rocks and paradox engine and use my opponents small spells to keep untapping my peititoners while getting full value. depending on how well you milled and how many rocks you had to start you could probably win on the spot if you resolve a paradox engine and betrayal.
Hey DJ, I did some minor tweaking to your deck here and I find that the deck is great before the tweaks. Now for the tweaks I changed out 9 cards for the following Windfall Whispering Madness Angel of Glory's Rise Council of the Absolute Diluvian Primordial Loyal Retainer Orzhov Advokist Obzodat and Kambal for 8 more Petitioners and a Thrumming Stone from the play testing I've done, this would make a much quicker time of getting the petitioners when needed, and You could even get a surprise drop on your opponents with this
2:57 Consuming Aeration is extremely good for milling away large decks as long as you can keep it alive. Chain it with Helm of the host and you might just mill the oppenent by purely casting spells. Not only that if your playing with more than one player he'll becoming at 40/40 really fast.
I loved this deck tech. I hate you when you have great deck techs, because then I want them. But I already have a lot and still trying to build so many lol
Tell me about it. How do you think I ended up with so many decks?!? This one could be a fun janky choice for the less than competitive tables ... could be fun.
I like oona in this deck it goes well with any card that says: when ****** enters the battlefield, choose a creature type. Creatures you control are said type. Then any creature can tap to mill
me and a friend came to the conclusion to play augustin viii as a comander. and create a loop by playing "Faces of the Past" + "Remembrence" + "Phyrexian Altar" . So you need 3 petitioners + Comander and you can mill all of your opponents. Sounds clunky and so far it is :'D But now that you mentioned Zur .... he can tutor up pieces of this combo wich i like alot !
How about all the one sided board wipes in white that punish big creatures? - Slaughter the Strong - Fell the Mighty - Dusk // Dawn (the Dawn side is also quite nice) - Solar Tide - Retribution of the Meek Also, you could equip an Illusionist's Bracers to one of the petitioners, and use his activated ability to mill someone by 24 :D
Here's an idea- Arcane Adaptation and Xenograft, one of which is searchable by Zur. Swap out some of the less impactful Advisors with overall good-stuff creatures, or better yet, token generators. You'll generally have "better" enchantments to get targeted by removal, at least until you swarm the board and mill someone for 40+ cards.
i have a mirko vosk mill deck i like a lot. I accepted that full mill wasn't great and instead focus on milling just enough cards that things like keening stone or guiltfeeder can 1 shot people. then i use the deck space saved on mill cards to run great graveyard value cards like wrexial and spelltwine. Mill is my favorite way to play especially since people don't pay much attention to the mill player because it's "a weak strategy" letting you at least get some stuff done and affect the game even when you lose.
Mirko Vosk Athreos Arcane Adaptation Just a few I deas I had for the deck. Athreos and the Adaptation can be searched by Zurr and the adaptation (namin advisor) synergizes with the persistent petitioners. Athreos is just incedental damage or recursion(ish) so it can allow you to get petitioners back. And Mirko is just a big mill card (could work)
Hey Jumbo, big fan. I got into you from the Command Zone and I loved your energy and thinking style. But, I have a request now. You do amazing and strange deck techs, so I was wondering if you could do a Glissa, the Traitor deck tech. I dont mean an infect deck tech, which is a lot of what I've seen. I was thinking artifact recursion. I've never seen much of Glissa but she has an amazing ability. Whenever a creature your opponent controls dies, get an artifact from your graveyard to your hand. Creatures die left and right, often without your input. Getting an artifact back for each Death can have some great value.
Nice DJ! This one was really cool cause it didn't focus so much on the commander but cards within the 99. Would you ever do a deck tech on Ink-Treader Nephilim? I know he's not technically legal as a commander, but Mark Rosewater has said he wished he would have printed the Nephilim legendary. Ink-Treader is like a 4 color Zada, Hedron Grinder and I'd be interested in seeing how you would build that.
I know this comment is a little late but moroph the boundless is my new mill commander. Here me out he is a advisor you can have zur and many more, secret salvage, beast whisper turns this deck into storm!😋, green ramp and everything else, it works
That was fun! Why didn't you include Thrumming Stone in the TCG decklist? I see you added Rise of the Dark Realms on there and don't remember that in the video. That's a super cool card too!
Ugh, so much better then my idea I went with a simic untapping strategy, commanded by Momir so I could potentially chain into drawing multiple petitioners a turn
I love this deck. I am currently trying to build a Muldrotha mass mill deck using the petitioners. I chose muldrotha because it has green untap (seedborn muse and alike). I alway run into the problem where I have too many cards to cut. How would you go at a muldrotha/ petitioners mill deck and how would you choose what cards to cut?
Have one or more Persistent Petitioners on the board.... Xenograft (Choose Advisor....) Undead Alchemist (Milled creature cards are exiled and you get 2/2 untapped black zombies, and they are advisors because of Xenograft) Altar of the Brood (Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield under you control each opponent mills one, not strictly necessary but helps a lot) This will probably mill all your opponents pretty easily, it means that for each opponent that mills a creature, each opponent must mill an additional card...
I've been using Phenax for Petitioners so even if I can't consistently get 4 they still mill for their value at 3. Also, black allows cards like Secret Salvage and dimir mill spells.
You need to mention Eater of the Dead from the Dark. EVERYONE runs the old school Eldrazi titans that shuffle libraries. Nothing is worse than playing a Mill deck and milling a Titan, shuffling all your progress back to their library. Blightsteel Colossus runs rampant in EDH as well.
Everybody probably already knows this one, but Jace, Wielder of Mysteries turns a Persistent Petitioners mill deck into a Persistent Petitioners _self-mill_ deck. You don't need to mill three players. You just need to mill ONE.
You forgot the other two (actually bigger) problems with mill in Commander. 1) graveyard strategies. Milling decks that use their graveyard is actually giving them card advantage. In some decks, you are almost effectively drawing them the equivalent of as many cards as you milled. 2) the format if full of graveyard recursion. At a table, at least one deck probably has an Eldrazi. Plus there are loads of graveyard reshuffling and deck refilling cards that make it into a lot of decks. In fact; thanks to cards like Mistveil Plains (easily) fetchable), I have had a fair number of attempts to mill me be equivalent to me casting Doomsday on myself. And just flat out won the game. On mtgo, mill decks tend to suddenly he popular for short periods...then vanish for a while. Smart players watch for meta shifts and compensate. The number one trick to playing mill in Commander is surprise. Rarely play it, and never play while it's popular. If you go a few weeks not seeing mill, play a few games and put it away before anyone catches on. And your deck really needs ways to reliably mill an entire deck in one turn. Only really good mill deck that is always effective and can ignore all of the above is Rest In Peace/Helm of Obedience. (Or Leyline of The Void)
This seems like a fun deck, but I feel like there was a point that you missed in commander; Eldrazi titans are very prevalent in decks, and basically say “your mill deck cannot possibly win” so that’s something that people who go into this archetype should know beforehand...
Hi. You think in made a Thantis, warweaver deck? I think is a enchantement curse deck whit a "world at war" theme and is interesting see your opinion and who you made the deck about this Commander
Paradoxical Outcome to pick them up and replay them? Since the ability does not require them to have haste you can cast and recast them if you have the mana.
Just gotta mention Azorius elocutors, crystal shard , veldaken orrery and the ozolith? Also fleet swallower and sword of the many? Can you mill someone out with this and double targeting?
Why not self mill? This was super helpful im making a janky carb tribal deck with phenax at the helm and ill definitely use some cards and ideas from this vid. Thanks!
I was doing some experimenting with Grand Arbiter Augustine IV for two reasons, 1st he's an Advisor, 2nd he makes your petitioners cheaper. Problem is, you'll catch your opponent's attention very easily due to how hated Grand Arbiter is
I would probably use arcanis. You draw pretty much 4 cards a turn letting you drop mor advisors and you get more consistant mana and control spells and the card draw to support it
So hard to choose between this and muldrotha. With muldrotha I can mill myself and also have access to lord of extinction and altar of Dementia. But tutoring for enchantments is really poweful
I prefer make it Sidisi Brood Tyrant deck and make it a Human Tribal Deck. I made this decklist below, they have a nice synergy with each other. Its much more efficient and fun! Any tech against shuffle cards? I have to slot a bunch of graveyard hate into my standart decks against Gaea's Blessing and I would imagine the Eldazi titans would come up in commander quite often.
@@joelparece5111 The issue with Gaea's is that it shuffles the whole yard when milled. Although, I found that all those card stealing mechanics like Thief of Sanity can actually remove those from the game cleanly.
This is my most long waited deck tech.

Yea, I did Circu, Dimir Lobotomist for my build. Did a mass reanimate package as well. Plus things that let me see the top of opponents library's
I know that I must build a deck with Persistent Petitioners the moment I saw it into the spoilers. At the same time, I was hoping for a deck tech from you.
Thanks DJ!
Faces of the past and remembrance are sooo good with any sac outlet in this deck.
This video made me feel things I didn't know I could feel about cards
I like that you choose Zur and i unterstand this... Personal I choosed Angus MC as my commander not just for the fog but more for all the great green untap spells! In green we got cards like: Awakening, Seedborn Muse, Murkfiend Liege, Quest for Renewal etc. over all i dig way more down to the untap stuff with other one time only untap like: Benefactor's Draught or To Arms! + the bonus of drawing a new card
I was planning a Tuvasa Mill deck using all those enchantments as a way to do lots of milk xD
Mill* dumb Auto correct
I'm also building a bant version and leaning heavily on the "untap all my creatures every turn" strategy, but I chose Rubinia Soulsinger as the commander. She's supposed to work like a betterish Maze of Ith, and also has sacrifice sinergies (like Altar of Dementia)
Also going bant petitioners Mill here! I'm using Estrid the Masked for a *very* slow and janky engine set up on top of all the untap shenanigans :)
Great timing on this video. I just built a Zur Mill deck last week and was thinking I should just change to a bunch of Persistent Petitioners.
Alexander Clamilton is my pet commander for this deck. It just fits so well flavor-wise. If I were to seriously build the deck, I think access to green is mission-critical because seedborn muse effects
No paradox engine? I'd think it would be great in this deck!
Maybe he didn't mention it because It's a no brainer?
That card is paradox engine good
@@Jeffxm003 Haha! Yes! That line from Josh and Jimmy will not be forgotten!
Paradox, thrumming stone, cloudstone curio, intruder alarm, kindred discovery, vanquishers banner. Mass appeal , distant melody. For my 28 petitioners azorious build
Happy Birthday
Jumbo Commander thanks DJ
Awesome job DJ, I think I might give it a shot, I've been thinking about a deck like this but didn't really think of the overall direction to go, and I think you've shown me the way lol.
On the topic of mill being a hard thing to pull off, especially in Commander:
Some decks can do it well but that's not common.
I was thinking this was be an Estrid deck made to untap all of the advisors but your idea is much better haha.
Add In X4 BRUVACS & X4 FRAYING SANITYS... Ouch !!!
Beacon of Unrest DJ you need it here. Also great deck tech I love your creative style
Hey DJ, I did some minor tweaking to your deck here and I find that the deck is great before the tweaks.
Now for the tweaks
I changed out 9 cards for the following
Windfall
Whispering Madness
Angel of Glory's Rise
Council of the Absolute
Diluvian Primordial
Loyal Retainer
Orzhov Advokist
Obzodat
and Kambal
for 8 more Petitioners
and a Thrumming Stone
from the play testing I've done, this would make a much quicker time of getting the petitioners when needed, and You could even get a surprise drop on your opponents with this
2:57 Consuming Aeration is extremely good for milling away large decks as long as you can keep it alive.
- Slaughter the Strong
- Fell the Mighty
- Dusk // Dawn (the Dawn side is also quite nice)
- Solar Tide
- Retribution of the Meek
Also, you could equip an Illusionist's Bracers to one of the petitioners, and use his activated ability to mill someone by 24 :D
Amazing deck. DJ is the man!
Thank you Jumbo, thank you!!! Finally someone who thinks like me.
Duskmantle Guildmage and Bloodchief Ascension turn traumatize into a kill spell. Personally, I think it's a phenomenal include in every mill deck.
Mirko Vosk
Athreos
Arcane Adaptation
Just a few I deas I had for the deck. Athreos and the Adaptation can be searched by Zurr and the adaptation (namin advisor) synergizes with the persistent petitioners. Athreos is just incedental damage or recursion(ish) so it can allow you to get petitioners back. And Mirko is just a big mill card (could work)
Damion Gonzalo jeleva....shes exile that allows you to steal your opponents best cards to cast yourself. also red adds forks and wheels...
Phenax also give you access to all combos in mill decks, in my opinion is the best commander to play 30 persistent petitioners.
Leave it to Jumbo to make me wanna play a mill commander deck....
I honestly think "you can have any number of (insert card name) your deck" leads to the most interesting of ideas
I know this comment is a little late but moroph the boundless is my new mill commander. Here me out he is a advisor you can have zur and many more, secret salvage, beast whisper turns this deck into storm!😋, green ramp and everything else, it works
This is just hilarious :D Best and most fun looking deck in a long time
That was fun! Why didn't you include Thrumming Stone in the TCG decklist? I see you added Rise of the Dark Realms on there and don't remember that in the video. That's a super cool card too!
Brago would be a really solid commander, or even just add to the 99 for this deck tech. Especially when combined with Intruder Alarm.
Ugh, so much better then my idea
I went with a simic untapping strategy, commanded by Momir so I could potentially chain into drawing multiple petitioners a turn
I did simic. I thought momir vig would be useful to draw more cards off of each cast, as well as all those "same name" synergy in green
Anonymous Insight with prophet of kruphix
Yep. I wanna build this now as well.
I went for simic advisors, doing a lots of copys and untapping with murkwood liege or seedborn muse. and draw for the amount of petitioners.
I love this deck. I am currently trying to build a
Muldrotha mass mill deck using the petitioners. I chose muldrotha because it has green untap (seedborn muse and alike). I alway run into the problem where I have too many cards to cut. How would you go at a muldrotha/ petitioners mill deck and how would you choose what cards to cut?
Have one or more Persistent Petitioners on the board....
Xenograft (Choose Advisor....)
Undead Alchemist (Milled creature cards are exiled and you get 2/2 untapped black zombies, and they are advisors because of Xenograft)
Altar of the Brood (Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield under you control each opponent mills one, not strictly necessary but helps a lot)
This will probably mill all your opponents pretty easily, it means that for each opponent that mills a creature, each opponent must mill an additional card...
I went with Arcum Dagsson, and played the combo game with about half of my deck being petitioners, and then tutoring up thrumming stone.
Don't forget rest in peace to make sure the GY decks don't hose you.
Immortal Servitude fits great!
What do you think about Muldrotha as the general here? Also, the dramatic reversal + isochron scepter could be really good too.
Yea...I have a mill version of Muldrotha as well...seems like half the time I am using spells that both mill me and the rest of the board....
I built PP Muldrotha, it’s great to self mill and then get thrumming stone back to dump all the PP in your deck!
Normally not one for Tribal but this is pretty awesome.
Intruder Alarm, Gyre Engineer (or Quirion Elves) and Shrieking Drake for infini-mill!
Thanks!
A card that you could consider for this deck as well for mill could be consuming aberration
Omg this deck.... I NEED
0:40 "Wonderful" Ha! Right. 🙄
Edit: yo enchantments with petitioners is actually good! 😱 Most impressive...
I was doing some experimenting with Grand Arbiter Augustine IV for two reasons, 1st he's an Advisor, 2nd he makes your petitioners cheaper.
Problem is, you'll catch your opponent's attention very easily due to how hated Grand Arbiter is
BU/W pillowfort mill. Piece of cake. Also, Phenax mill is not difficult at all. Very high win percentage, even in multi player games
Dumb idea but you could pull Arcane Adaptation with Zur, name Advisors and then have your whole field tapping to mill :)
Playing mill in commander is like playing dark souls while drunk, very hard but so much fun
Now that's VERY interesting indeed! :D
I was experimenting using Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer with a really defensive strategy. But what do you think about Forced Fruition in a Petitioners deck?
What does everyone think of Bant stax/mill with the petitioners? This would give you access to Seedborn Muse.
I am not very good at magic, but do I understand right, that Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank go infinite?
I would probably use arcanis. You draw pretty much 4 cards a turn letting you drop mor advisors and you get more consistant mana and control spells and the card draw to support it
I personally want to use damia sage of stone, but I'm uncertain of how many persistent petitioners to use. Any suggestions?
I just posted a bant one on Reddit. Getting access to Gaddock Teeg withDerevi/roon as commander. Also, gives access to Sigarda.
So hard to choose between this and muldrotha. With muldrotha I can mill myself and also have access to lord of extinction and altar of Dementia. But tutoring for enchantments is really poweful
Wanna break Petitioners? Any token generator + Infinite Reflections. Everything in play becomes a Petitioner. Want more mayhem? Strionic Resonator.
So what I hear Mill is a viable strategy in Commander. This is the best timeline.
I want to play Brago + Intruder Alarm + 7-ish Petitioners, just to blink them all, and then have that sweet combo kill.
i need this in my life
How about Psychic Spiral? It's good if you're being milled and/or have alot of cards in your graveyard.
Hey hey *Consuming* *Abberation* is a good alternate-win-condition in this deck
Remembrance will be good in this deck.
Spidersilk Armor and Wonder are a must against flying creatures. Assault Formation make your Persistant pititionner have more punch and may screw with your opponents strategy a lot. I wouldnt remove those, as Assault FOrmation is like a better Obelisk of Urd in your deck. Quest for Renewal is less then 5$ but ITS A MUST in this deck. Its better then Intruder Alarm in this deck and it cost less. Obelisk of Urd is so useful as you will have zombies to convoke it or simply a lot of Persitent Petitionners.
Sidisi Brood Tyrant (Commander)
36 lands (But consider buying Buried Ruins and Svogthos, the Restless Tomb, Mortuary Mire and Dakmor Salvage at the very least!)
23x Persistent Petitioners
Wonder
Elder of Laurels
Deranged Assistant
Eternal Witness
Laboratory Maniac
Kessig Cagebreakers
Werebear
Splinterfright
Tireless Tracker
Rhystic Study
Sylvan Library
Quest for Renewal
Ulvenwald Mysteries
Assault Formation
Bloodbond March (That card is the reason I made this deck to begin with)
Jace's Erasure
Journey to Eternity // Atzal, Cave of Eternity
Spidersilk Armor
Jarad's Orders (Best used to put Wonder in graveyard and a creature you need in your hand)
Cyclonic Rift
Swan Song
Arcane Denial
Muddle the Mixture
Windfall
Gnaw to the Bone
Splendid Reclamation
Sudden Reclamation
Memory's Journey
Brainstorm
Mystic Speculation
Taigam's Scheming
Krosan Grip
Fabricate
Stoneforge Masterwork
Coat of Arms
Perpetual Timepiece
Crawlspace
Sol Ring
Armillary Sphere
Commander's Sphere
Bonehoard
Cauldron of Souls
I know this video is older but what about muldrotha as the commander
What card is in the background at 2:07?
Any tech against shuffle cards? I have to slot a bunch of graveyard hate into my standart decks against Gaea's Blessing and I would imagine the Eldazi titans would come up in commander quite often.
any forced card draw spell can help kill someone who has one or two cards that keep getting shuffled back in. Blue sun's zenith is my favorite
@@joelparece5111 The issue with Gaea's is that it shuffles the whole yard when milled. Although, I found that all those card stealing mechanics like Thief of Sanity can actually remove those from the game cleanly.
This deck looks hilarious
