The brain is definitely a tricky thing personally I think there are many things only it can handle including different realities, subconsciousness, the drug they use, and more so yah we wouldn’t actually go through all that without consequences
@@ilikenoodleart18 this is true, no solution is ideal especially as they can only go into worlds they already existed. Assuming she wasn’t killed by her former colleagues and no one is after her; Ghosting as it’s called, assuming her own identity of a deceased person, probably the easiest way.

Would be funny asf if brad pitt had a cameo as a janitor in this show where he's mopping and passing by the room with the box where he asks, "what's in that fuckin box?.. everybody is going crazy over it!" 😂
I wouldn't say that this episode felt like video game in the genre of "survival horror", but what I'd say that it felt like is like being there and experiencing it for yourself.
😂😂😂 Wet box is crazy. Midddle of the episode dragged a bit but I liked this episode. The weekly release is annoying though wish I just got a whole season too double binge.
@@alveolate good observation. I think they miscalculate a bit on where the drama is for the audience. Like I want to see them grappling with a variety if different alternate universes and the consequences. I thought by now they would have given us the seeds of a possible relationship forming between the two so that going back home to his real wife would be way more difficult. Or that his wife would actually like the replacement wayyy more than expected thus revealing how much she hated giving up her painting and own interest.
Each case holds 50 ampoules, Jason2 took two cases, so he now has 100 ampoules, but he told Leighton2 that he only has 50. What is Jason2 planning on doing with 50 more ampoules for himself if he plans to seal up the box so no one can use it once Leighton leaves his home world?
This TV show reminds me of the old TV show "Sliders," but with extra steps. I'm really enjoying the series and haven't had a chance to read the books yet.
I'll admit that I got sucked into this show before it started by an excellent interactive ad for it on social media, honestly one of the best ads for a series I've ever seen. I've been watching since the week it premiered on Apple TV, but the first 2 episodes felt slow and it wasn't really holding my attention, requiring multiple stops/starts to finish each of them. Episode 3 picked up with some plot development and exposition ending in exciting fashion, but episode 4 really picked up steam showing us what this show is capable of & delivering the best hour of the show so far. I love a show that makes you think, so Dark Matter feels right up my alley. The convo with "a shot at the chance untaken" towards the end of the episode was perfect, how that one decision can have an insane ripple effect that changes almost everything about someone's life. This episode continues last week's trend of a captivating ending- even if it wasn't as much of an insane cliffhanger as the previous installment, once again I can't wait for Wednesday.
I think the reason jason doesnt meet other travellers in the corridor is because they're in different layer. Similar to the end of vivarium where u see layers of worlds people are trapped in. Jaye didnt go to Jason's world on the get go. U can see only half of the vials The reason jaye has a camera is to see whether jason would come out of that box. And also he's a scientist, he's runnin a science experiment on Leighton
Something no one is talking about. Remember a couple of episodes ago when Amanda opened a door and Jason wasn't in the same cell/section when she did it. I don't think this Amanda is the same one he started this journey with. He immediately opened a door and she was there but that universe would have been instantly created at that decision point so was the next door along... Which he opened
Am I the only one that read the book? lol you guys are asking so many questions that have already been answered. The show seems to be diverting a little from the book, but its screen written by the author, so I can’t imagine the big points get axed.
They are only in the corridor or super position when the drug is in effect. When the drug wears off the position collapses and a reality is chosen. That’s why they woke up not in the corridor but in a box after the wetbox incident.
This episode was depressing af. That world of sickness seemed too realistic. But I like how they explore the different outcomes in alternate realities. Definitely got my interest so far. Hopefully they don’t drop the ball
NGL I THOUGHT I was confused when Blair had shown up in another world with Amanda & Jason because I thought I saw Blair B at Daniela B's art gallery when it was REALLY in World A. Turns out I just missed the detail from Episode 1, silly me. RIP Blair C. 🌹🌹 This story is soo good!
He couldn't close the door with the water rushing in. Once the box was filled with water, the door was able to be closed. Similar to if you are in a car that goes into water....you cannot open the doors of the car to get out until the car is completely submerged.
Too many seemingly "production" glitches to be actual production glitches. What did EJ say he was looking for . . . perfection. There are way too many timelines and uni's to follow at this point. Time to sit back and enjoy the ride, I think. Strap in.
Superposition they exist in all worlds they explain it in the first episode. they cant remove the box the only thing its possible is to block the access.
When the box appears in a new world it materialises. Once you build one you've built them in all possible realities... but only in the ones where Jason was born. Some infinities are smaller.
@@Vitormarques542Nope, he is right, they can only travel to worlds in which that box exists. They even explain it in this episode, not in regard to the box but to themselves. They can only travel to worlds that are similar and in which they exist/existed as well. Being in superposition only means you can be at several places/states "at once" but not that you can create energy/matter (boxes) from nothing.
How would sealing the box do anything? The box is only blocked at times because it appears (out of thin air I am assuming) when Jason opens the door somewhere that has no space for them to go into. The box always seems to appear. Even if Jaye seals HIS box, the box Jason is in should just appear and overwrite Jay's box until if and when Jason leaves in his. The fact Jason and Jay are using boxes at the same time shows the boxes are not the same. The only thing that would work is like if Jaye erects a thick concrete wall around his box and that way if and when Jason shows up in his he will be faced with a concrete wall when he opens his door.
How is there enough oxygen inside the box/corridor? In the entire thing can't be more atmosphere than what was initially in the box before going into superposition.
Another decent, if a little slow, episode. I havent read the novel (no spoilers please!) so started to get a little concerned that this series could potentially drag on and on and not really go anywhere. I'm hoping there is a proper conclusion and the show doesn't get cancelled at the end of a cliff hanger episode
Regarding Jason waking up dressed, I think it may be he invisioned it as wet but when the drug stopped working he returned to his normal self. I.e. it was in his mind
Glad this show is turning out to be pretty decent. Apple really going hard in the paint with these multiverse/parallel universe shows, and Constellation did NOT start off well.
What I don't like about the show is, that the box is controlled by one's thoughts and feelings. It's too mysterious and supernatural. They should have done it similar to what was inside the Black Hole in Interstellar. So basically just as an endless array but give the protagonists an infinite amount of time to explore it all, as time does not pass in superposition. Would still be messy, because your body couldn't function without the progression of time, and macro objects can't be in a state of superposition in the first place however, but it would be at least less obviously flawed.
It's not supernatural. They explained that the corridor is manifestation made in/by the mind in order to help the human being navigate the complexity of what would otherwise most likely be some kind of super-dimensional expanse that would be outside of the comprehension of our 3-spacial-dimensional brains. Also, if everything is Quantum Fields, and Consciousness is an Observer and all that jazz, then it makes sense that it would all entangle and work together. And as for the infinite time thing, well, then where are the stakes?
@@eminent_junkie I know, they explained that in the last(?) episode. Makes it even more stupid IMHO, because that means they are basically tripping the whole time. So the water inside the box was supposed to be real, but the corridor just a manifestation? Where do you draw the line between what's real and what's not then? Also the whole idea of "the mind is an observer" is BS. Every interaction with a quantum state is a "measurement". Every photon that hits an eye is a measurement, feeling heat or cold is a measurement and so on. So what is it then, are they lying unconsciously in that box and everything is just a fever dream on drugs, or is it all a "supernatural" fairy-tale with lots of quantum sci-fi buzzwords?
@@nuneke0 So, wouldn’t the “Pilots’” consciousness be interacting with the quantum state? Whether it’s physical or supernatural you can’t deny that consciousness, to us, is “real.” And again, your interpretation of “Observer” is merely one of multiple interpretations of what an “Observer” is.
I like this show but the more I get into it, the more plot holes I find. The box being in the same point of every world bothers me. Who built it in the other worlds, how does it show up in traffic or above water until the door opens then sinks. I understand the super position when inside the box but the box can’t be in that position as well. I think the intro has more meaning than what we recognize. The person falling while someone tries to save them.
Who inside the box carry that box in every world. It will suddenly appear by itself, when someone inside the box open it. And the box will be still there when they still stay in that world, then the box will disappear when they go back in to that box and go to the other world.
@ohhgetoo Nope, that's not how collapsing a superposition works. Matter isn't created out of nothing. Either there is already a box in the other world, or it has to disappear in the world they came from. But that's not the case, so yeah, plotholes everywhere. That the box sinks actually makes sense however, because it doesn't travel neither in time or space.
I was under the impression that Jay was joking about the entirety of what he said about the craziest world he’d been in, but he could’ve just been joking about not having a Mad Max movie in his reality 🤷🏻. Also I wonder if Jay has been visiting back and forth with that lab tech and she’s been working with/keeping it a secret from everyone else 🤔
I think, Jason- teacher, will end up in a world where his first-born Maximilian is alive. And already an adult like Charlie. He will meet them both. He will not want to leave this world and will act, exacly the way Jason-scientist acted towards him... But at the last moment he will stop and return to the cube. Or they togeher will serch Jason-teacher 1, Home.
after thinking about it and the whole what he's capable of conversation .....my guess is it will turn out the so called bad Jason is just another good Jason that couldn't find his world .....that would be neat ....although showing that he's a risk taker earlier goes against this
Yooo tell me why I seen a big ass bug like this 2 days ago! I thought it was a bird like a finch! But hell nah that motherfucker was fast asf tried to go inside I shut the door it looked at me it did some wierd shit with the butt of it stinger like stretching and the stinger was pretty big too idk. It had moth like wings wasp like body big building eyes! I'm not imagining this either! I was looking online everywhere to see if there was any prehistoric wasp or something but I haven't seem anything until this show!!
Infinite worlds infinite versions of ourselves is so hard to comprehend we think we get it I know they're trying, and I think doing a good job of, to do a visual representation but even still there would be infinite versions of Jason's that up until when he woke up in the new Jason's universe was the main character Jason there would be infinite versions of him looking for her and looking to get back to her i wonder if in later episodes that will come up
I keep on missing the schroedingers cat Easter egg, I missed it last time when they showed the dead cat in the snow world, and in this episode the cat is in the diner and it’s alive, omg 😱 I didn’t catch on to that I’m so disappointed in myself 😢 I remember the first Easter egg I caught on to was the pizza planet Easter egg in the Pixar films when I was a kid and I think there is some toys from Toy Story in the finding Nemo movies right mannn😂 but the schroedingers cat Easter egg is one that I’m seeing but not realizing that it’s a call back 😮
Hardly Easter eggs at all, only cats in other worlds. A true Schroedinger's cat Easter egg would be if they take one with them inside the box so it would be in superposition. The cats you've mentioned neither are nor were ever in a state of superposition and therefore they are simply cats. Nothing special at all.
how will they kill poor Daniella off next week??? each week it's a new way! How many years is this poor woman going to have to die each week for the rest of her life???? lol
They are definitely showing different versions of Jason and Amanda. Amanda's coat keeps changing. In one scene it's red and the next scene it's tan and made of a different material.
Clothes getting dried in a dark environment was an editing, cheap production error cos they wouldn't be able to move on for the next scenes with horribly wet dresses and backpacks. Even in a aired home in a dark room it would take a week for clothes to try, they would be in a different shape and smell horrible. Also their hair look perfectly groomed out of hairdresser and skin looked like they had the best resting holiday in a rehab, not like they slept on the floor. One of the reasons I pity this show for being so cheap.
Of course writing down your thoughts won't work. Because you have to stop writing to open the door and the second you stop writing all your thoughts will change from when you were writing.
How TF did Blair exactly unleash the insects upon this world? I can just about imagine that they followed her from some other world she was exploring into the box, then through the corridor, and then out of the box into this world. This seems to be quite a long way, though. Additionally, she had to operate the heavy door. And I can imagine (though olny with great effort), that they didn't sting her to death along the way, given how quickly they subdue several people once they are out of the box. But what I don't get is this: in order to use the box, you must be under the influence of the drug, right? And this must be true for any organism, human, animal or insect, right? The only reasonable way for the insects to be able to ingest the drug is to sting Blair, thus consuming a bit of it present in her blood. But in doing so they didn't kill her until she and them were out of the box? I mean, this was quite a swarm, there must have been hundreds of them, and their stings had no effect on her all the goddamn time right until exeting the box?
It would take more than 1 week in a dark room for clothes to dry enough for you to be able to wear it. Yet you wouldn't still be able to wear them with ocean salty water and drying in time would make them unwearable . That's why the couldn't continue story line with that look. also look at their hair after being underwater. Perfect hair, perfect skin.
lol when they see them selfs one them gets shot you gloss over so many points for a details you missed you missed video i think you missed alot 🤣🤣🤣 really going just slap mad max footage in there

More and more shows will be aired weekly again, since studios can't keep up with producing quality shows. There are literally not many good stories left worth telling so they need to dial down the pace. Which is a good thing IMHO, binging one show after another isn't healthy.

The brain is definitely a tricky thing personally I think there are many things only it can handle including different realities, subconsciousness, the drug they use, and more so yah we wouldn’t actually go through all that without consequences
I think Blair was lying. She was the one the came through the door with the flying insects
Isn’t that what happened? That’s what I got from the show, that she did it.

Amanda probably should’ve stayed in the world she was dead in, because what’s her endgame? I don’t think she can go back to her original world safely
Wouldn’t that be a logistics nightmare? She is legally dead. It’s public record. Would she pretend she was someone else? Take on a new identity?
@@ilikenoodleart18 this is true, no solution is ideal especially as they can only go into worlds they already existed.
Assuming she wasn’t killed by her former colleagues and no one is after her; Ghosting as it’s called, assuming her own identity of a deceased person, probably the easiest way.

😂😂😂 Wet box is crazy. Midddle of the episode dragged a bit but I liked this episode. The weekly release is annoying though wish I just got a whole season too double binge.
it drags when they try too hard to do the dramatic interactions... and then just smash cut to them driving the hell outta there
@@alveolate good observation.
Infected Daniela dying was painful to watch.
Facts!
U can see only half of the vials
The reason jaye has a camera is to see whether jason would come out of that box.
Clear as mud 😂
Whats in the box?

Am I the only one that read the book? lol you guys are asking so many questions that have already been answered. The show seems to be diverting a little from the book, but its screen written by the author, so I can’t imagine the big points get axed.
I agree you can tell who read the book and who didn’t by these comments lol
yeah you are, so stop with the spoilers
People like to enjoy entertainment in different forms, just because you read the book dont expect everyone else to. Its the point of adaptations.
"First time in 5 years that I've experienced a wet box" 😅...same 😢
This is my favorite show on Apple+. Just so good!!!
NGL I THOUGHT I was confused when Blair had shown up in another world with Amanda & Jason because I thought I saw Blair B at Daniela B's art gallery when it was REALLY in World A. Turns out I just missed the detail from Episode 1, silly me.
RIP Blair C. 🌹🌹
This story is soo good!
Very wellwritten 10/10
how the hell did he push the door close underwater and get inside. that part was completely immersion breaking
Strap in.
"wet box", haha. you and me both my friend.
I have one doubt, who is building boxes in all other worlds. For example who built box in original jasons world
Superposition they exist in all worlds they explain it in the first episode. they cant remove the box the only thing its possible is to block the access.
Essentially the box exists in whatever reality they go to BECAUSE they go to that reality.
@@nuneke0 ok i didnt saw the last episode, i going to see it later this evening
Good series, but alogical problem, how is there a box in every reality,it has not been built everywhere,so how is it there`?
I think he will seal the door by welding it
Mad max. Jaye was joking with a Leighton.
Constellation was incredible throughout!!
@@tronlady1 It stumbled along, eventually getting to where it wanted to, but the first episode felt like they really messed up in editing.
Would still be messy, because your body couldn't function without the progression of time, and macro objects can't be in a state of superposition in the first place however, but it would be at least less obviously flawed.
would be boring
What a stupid idea
MY exact same thought
I was under the impression that Jay was joking about the entirety of what he said about the craziest world he’d been in, but he could’ve just been joking about not having a Mad Max movie in his reality 🤷🏻. Also I wonder if Jay has been visiting back and forth with that lab tech and she’s been working with/keeping it a secret from everyone else 🤔
how did Mara knows thats the Jason in her world not the one running off with Amanda?
I think, Jason- teacher, will end up in a world where his first-born Maximilian is alive. And already an adult like Charlie. He will meet them both. He will not want to leave this world and will act, exacly the way Jason-scientist acted towards him... But at the last moment he will stop and return to the cube. Or they togeher will serch Jason-teacher 1, Home.
Nice
after thinking about it and the whole what he's capable of conversation .....my guess is it will turn out the so called bad Jason is just another good Jason that couldn't find his world .....that would be neat ....although showing that he's a risk taker earlier goes against this

Books? There's only 1 book of Dark Matter, not a series. You're probably thinking of his Wayward Pines Trilogy.
Infinite worlds infinite versions of ourselves is so hard to comprehend we think we get it I know they're trying, and I think doing a good job of, to do a visual representation but even still there would be infinite versions of Jason's that up until when he woke up in the new Jason's universe was the main character Jason there would be infinite versions of him looking for her and looking to get back to her i wonder if in later episodes that will come up
I tbink the series is moving a bit slow. Would’ve been better as a binge able series
I like the world when they travel to Fallout.
The World you are looking for is a grain of sand on an infinite beach…
How many years is this poor woman going to have to die each week for the rest of her life???? lol
I came here to say that I did not know there was a book only to realize I actually read the darn book 💀
And what is it that you thought after only realizing it?
It was weird to me too.
Of course writing down your thoughts won't work. Because you have to stop writing to open the door and the second you stop writing all your thoughts will change from when you were writing.
How bad Jason knows howto in/out in diferent worlds? Worlds that he wants to be.
Plot thickens
Jason was a fugitive snd got a divorce in that world thats so smart
Unless, of course, only people need the drug, but every other living being can pass through just like that.
Seriously? U replied to your own self?!?!?
"first time in 4 years i've experienced a wet box" hahahahaahahahahaa
I think they just fell asleep and ther clothes dried eventually
It would take more than 1 week in a dark room for clothes to dry enough for you to be able to wear it. Yet you wouldn't still be able to wear them with ocean salty water and drying in time would make them unwearable .
That's why the couldn't continue story line with that look.
also look at their hair after being underwater.
Perfect hair, perfect skin.

More and more shows will be aired weekly again, since studios can't keep up with producing quality shows. There are literally not many good stories left worth telling so they need to dial down the pace. Which is a good thing IMHO, binging one show after another isn't healthy.
