As a Detroit resident and wings fan, the Yotes have been my 2nd team. This video was excellent in terms of explaining the situation and history. Much appreciated! Can’t wait for you guys to get the arena you deserve and when the Yotes go on a run, you can laugh at all the naysayers and especially the Toronto media and their fans for the constant shit they give you.

That's not surprising. Look at the number of times the Red Wings beat the Coyotes in the playoffs! LOL!

They deserve nothing. I am a red wings fan. I lived in Tempe. Overall they could care less if they have the nhl.

All they had to do was pay the rent in Glendale and they would still be there.

PHNX. You guys are freaking awesome. Best local sports podcast out there. Even when Leah is not there keeping order. 😊 Craig, thank you. Your journalistic standards have walked me back from the edge countless times. And Petey, love your passion and knowledge of the game. We might not have the arena we want, but thank God we have you guys.

The Team owner seems to be dragging his feet, anybody with that amount of money reported should be able to build his own arena and shopping district, OH the saga continues (BULLSHITE)!

Lifelong hockey fan and Phoenix native, and I hope the team moves at this point. I'd hate to lose such a great, promising group, but give SLC their team so AZ can regroup and rebrand with a new expansion in the next 5 years.

The land deal process shouldn't have started in June. It should have started in December 2022 or January 2023.... Because no vote has a guaranteed outcome.
The time between the referendum announcement and the date of the actual vote was the real killer here.

Thing is if they did that and it was leaked before the vote that would have encouraged the no side

What was said in this podcast:
"You should definitely have some skepticism about this project based on everything"
    "Arizona politics are shady"
"The board of governors are fed up with this situation, I 100% believe that to be true"
"You can't build residences on the land, so they need to make up that revenue"
"Is this team moving to Salt Lake City?" ...."My answer is I don't know"
He also argues that NHL standards don't say anything about seating capacity. He is trying to justify the Mullett arena is a viable NHL arena in a league where he just argued minutes earlier that the NHL is a league based on ticket sales and revenue from that
So all this podcast has done is speculate, not refute any of the rumors that are happening.

You guys are getting ridiculous, you’re saying the only reason that the Coyotes and Glendale broke up was because the length of the lease? Wouldn’t you think if that were the case the Muerelo group just just sign it and plan for a move in 15 years considering their current circumstances? They’d rather not sign the lease and lose the team? Bullshit. They didn’t pay their bills and you both know it.

That’s not what happened at all. The Yotes had a long term lease, and Glendale broke the lease in bad faith and screwed over the team. Would you ever do business again with a business who breaks a contract with you? That’s the deal.
