Lifelong hockey fan and Phoenix native, and I hope the team moves at this point. I'd hate to lose such a great, promising group, but give SLC their team so AZ can regroup and rebrand with a new expansion in the next 5 years.

The land deal process shouldn't have started in June. It should have started in December 2022 or January 2023.... Because no vote has a guaranteed outcome. The time between the referendum announcement and the date of the actual vote was the real killer here.

Wouldn’t you think if that were the case the Muerelo group just just sign it and plan for a move in 15 years considering their current circumstances? They’d rather not sign the lease and lose the team? Bullshit. They didn’t pay their bills and you both know it.
That’s not what happened at all. The Yotes had a long term lease, and Glendale broke the lease in bad faith and screwed over the team. Would you ever do business again with a business who breaks a contract with you? That’s the deal.

They deserve nothing. I am a red wings fan. I lived in Tempe. Overall they could care less if they have the nhl.
