I used to have one of those pistols! Omega 22 short revolver. It was my first gun! Got it for $15 in 1986. If I was lucky it would fire every other round but I absolutely loved it!
@@Wildhare-uo5vj same buddy rg was my first gun and it was terrible lol but I still love old junk guns 25's and 22's are my favorite! Of course I have good guns but I love the old throwaways! Definitely need to make sure there safe before you shoot them though!
Yep. I love old guns. I have a Winchester 1897 takedown made in 1900 that I still shoot hand loads out of. I also have a engraved S&W 32 double action, 4th Model with pearl grips that’s lettered by S&W as leaving the factory on February 5th 1883. I don’t think it’s ever been fired.
You've got my ears so well-tuned for any potential "dieded" warnings that each time you've mentioned the shell fragment, I've heard "dieder," which would naturally have potentially "dieded" anyone in close range... 😆😆😆 I can't help it! You teach me awesome stuff all the time, for real, but you also have my family's wonderfully, umm, ec2centrically sarcastic and amusing sense of hum1or, including your fantastically active facial expressions and all you can convey with only a quick look... which clicks even more with me... And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! Seriously, I hope and pray that you never lose the spark that is YOU, through and through! I'm not sure if you've seen my other message (my thank you message), but I just want you to know that you've made A HUGELY POSITIVE EFFECT IN MY LIFE & I CANNOT EVER THANK YOU ENOUGH!!! You are an amazing person and your wife and family and friends are lucky to have you!!! Before I start crying, I just NEED to say it one more time: Thank you, Beau, for everything you helped me through by providing SERIOUSLY AMAZING CONTENT with a heart of gold!!! 🤗💜💜💜😊
Good video Chigg! Six Day Diggers are a great group of guys! I have been following them a little over a month now, I have learned a lot from them. Looks like you all enjoyed your day out. See you on your next✌️
the shark's tooth was awesome, lol. I hd no idea this was a thing,,tks for your sense of adventure and good humor. But I really clicked vid for the Redrum. sigh.
Man that field was hard on farm equipment Chigg. We had a couple of fields like that back on the farm. It kept my dad and I busy welding stuff and repairing sickle teeth. It was no fun hammering out the old rivets and teeth and hammering in the new. Rocks and the hauling of them was also one of my least favorite chores. We used to drag cow magnets behind us through the fields sometimes to try and pick up old metal junk from the equipment that the farmer didn't want left behind. It was some fun the strange pieces of junk we found, nuts, bolts, baling wire, and lots of that old barbed wire for sure. It could do a number on cows as well as the equipment. This was a fun get together and hunt, glad you could get out and do it. The gun was the kind you were as likely to shoot yourself in the foot as anything. I wanted one as a kid for varmint shooting, but my dad thought it too dangerous. He gave me a sixteen gauge pump action shotgun instead, when I was thirteen. I had been shooting since I was nine and that gun was something of a matter of pride for me. My very first gun. I kept it in spotless condition for years, until it was stolen in the 1990's. I still miss that old thing.
You can find Pre Civ bullets and relics in Wa. tho if you know where to look. I have 80+ bullets and my hunting buddy has 600+ and lots of relics, but he lives like a mile away from the park. Or are you referring to Western Australia?
Chigg I believe that the gully you were in with the stones may have been a small quarry for some local German Immigrant houses from the late 1700’s. That gray stone was a common choice especially in the area of your dig. That’s my “guess”
Well put together video Chig, some really great fines, especially the 22. I really enjoyed watching this video looks like you all had a great day. Thks for sharing 🤜🏻🤛🏻👍
Here where I live in TN we’ve had 8 inches of rain just this month. Supposed to be 3-4 more the rest of the week. Everything is flooded roads closed everywhere.
Like others said, pretty sure thats a Rohm/RG 22 revolver, probably a model 14. Imported in the 60s and 70s. SUPER cheap; price and quality. Cast metal frame and internals (im not kidding about that btw). Can still find them in pawnshops for like 50 bucks. But by all means still a real gun. Hinckley used what appears to be the exact same gun in the assassination attempt on Reagan, the one that permanently disabled James Brady. Creepy.
I remember when you could order a .22 revolver just like that from adds in the rear advertising section of many "men`s" magazines. They sold for $9.95 and were greatly overpriced.
Looks like a little cheap RG .22. My dad always had one in his front pocket back in the 70s and 80s. He bought it off my uncle (who said he shot a man with it, he did time twice for manslaughter) for $10. Still has it, but the firing pin is missing.
the pistol looks exactly like a rohm rg10, i could be wrong because they made a bunch of cheap belly guns that all looked exactly alike each other but my guess is a Rohm!
only one guy thought about gun safety xD Always treat a gun like its loaded, its super uncomfy to get a gun pointed at you even tho its impossible to shoot out of (i know this bc it jas happened)
Dear Chigg and the Men, tea (Assam) and bikkies ( Mcvities) and a comfy armchair. I watch you in the cold and damp, (that gun was so cool though) and thank all the metal detecting gods that I am here and not there. Every time I press “subscriptions “ I wonder if you have your gold this time. Are you able to trace the gun I wonder? I’m not from your hemisphere so 🤷♀️ ? - also, had never heard of aluminium horseshoes. Are they any good? Your collection of metal bits could make a wonderful artwork Nicola makes fish for Tideline Art, you could make 🦌 in memory of all the hunted deer?? Thank you again for another interesting video.
@@Micaelangel07 I meant Dependable; in that one squeeze of the trigger would discharge a round. Of course that 10# pull would interfere with your aim. Selling at the time for $25 -$30 on the used market at the time. It gave everyone the chance to own a defensive weapon. It was far superior to the Dardick or the GyoJet!

I thought rohm but you may be right lol
Rohm, RG, Omega. They’re all basically the same. I’d hate to have to depend on any of them but it started a lifelong passion for me.

Hinckley's gun, I think.

Thanks Jacque!!!
Good job! I wish I could find so.ething like that, the coolest thing I've dug up was a texas license plate from 1974
That looks like a 22 blank gun to train bird dogs with. My Dad found one of those.
It had sights on it it wasn't a blank/starter pistol it was a .22 short.

No Civil war battles here in WA so I enjoy your videos. My GGGrandfather did serve and I have his original discharge papers. Take care
You have gold and awesome fly fishing.

Hey your annoying
Someone lost their trapping pistol. Great hunt with a bunch of great people. Thanks for sharing and take care.
I was thinking a rock quarry at first but i don't know! Found some cool kshot and bullets. Thanks as always for the video
Those Nox's are on fire! Just ordered the At Gold, refurbished with 2 yr warranty for $399. Looking forward to spring!
About time you found something 🤣
Like the horse halter ... I had a small mare that was a Houdini at getting out of those!
Awesome adventure, thank you for sharing. Happy Hunting.
Love that SPEARHEAD patch! 3rd Armored Division!
Chigger I noticed the shoulder Spearhead patch of the 3rd armored ,they changed the color I see ,
-- a life time ago I was in the 48th scouts .
Well done Beau, a big congrats on the gun, awesome find. atb ;)
Saw a preview of your river programme on History channel tonight. Looking good, can't wait to watch it.
im starting enjoy your cave find vids more that others
Probably chigg for a fill spot or drain spot for hard rains most likely
A gun and a bullet, what more can a man ask for. Great hunt.

Awesome job on the gun. I've got one just like it (non dug ) lol. Keepem coming as always love the videos.
I'm trying to decide if I like when you're caving or digging up history both are awesome the wife and I are working are way through all your videos.
I'll bet that pistol fell outta farmer John's pocket while he was riding his tractor. Cool find👍
Awesome, love your song.
LOOKS LIKE THEY ALL HAD FUN! Perhaps that why the subdivision went bust?!! Be a good way to hide things, too, perhaps?!
By the way your catch phrases are the only reason I subscribed. So keep it up!
I popped over to six day diggers and subscribed. Thanks for the heads up.

Matt Patterson Then his video will be demonetize lol

When does you show River Hunters premier? Will it be shown in the U.S. or is it just going to ne in the UK?
Yay guns
Those spring things look like they'll be good for fishing pole holder lol
Chigg looks like lots of fun.
Chigg, was the pistol a 22 cal.? How about doing a video on it and see if you can find a serial number and see if it was lost or stolen.. great video.
Put it in some of evapo-rust for a week and see if it fires. Looks to be in ok shape
Good ol 3rd armored division!
Wow Chigg , you have 1 million subs.... Awesome !
I have a 7 shot .22 revolver with the white plastic handle much like that one.... Longer barrel.
Pretty sure that thar gun is an RG. One of the cheapest and worst Saturday Night Specials ever sold in the US of A.
Would love to see a clean up video on the .22 revolver and see if you can shoot it again
I have that combat patch......how long were you in?
Sweet adventure Beau and that little pistol is an awesome find indeed

Dude.. finding a gun early is the best.. then you can let the others dig the important stuff and just steal it after ;)
Armed robbery isnt something to joke about wtf is wrong with you..
Lucky bastard.
The island thing could be where they got dirt and loaded dump trucks with I trackhoe? Maybe?
Were those last light colored big rocks chert?
Great video as always.

Chigg don’t point it at anybody !!!

Probably a trapline pistol that bounced out of some trappers kit bag. I can't see somebody going that far out into a field to dump a stick em up gun.
Rohm RG10 or RG20 pistol I think
Looks like a S&W 22cal
Wow don’t never see a whole civil war bullet like that. Nice job tell him. Looks like a drain of some kind I’m not sure.
that modern cartrige looked like a .243
I believe that pistol is a rohm rg 10, 22 short

Woot!
Good video
Fun
