I love crotal bells..i dno why but they do it for me.. i have a huge one.but the only ones i found myself were peices and one thats more modern.ive bought a couple like the huge old one at a yardsale..i need to do better going out detecting..after a motorcycle wreck .. great hobby
Another great day out on the permission Beau - nice run of diverse finds - and very nice the way you edit the close up of the find into the video. Always enjoy your adventures - Happy Fossicking! Warren.
That round reed was something that a musical instructor would have to get everybody on the same tune. They were generally made of black rubber and they had the entire scale on that disc
Remember the first time I saw you find a crotal bell. Took me a while, but I finally remember a name other than sleigh bell. Great to see Mike with you.
I've hunted enough and I am old enough that I have found many of these things HOWEVEVER YOUR STYLE IS MUCH BETTER THAN MINE. THANKS CHIGG! You put in hours of time editting your videos for us!
At 11:57 that is half of a pipe ground clamp for grounding natural or propane gas pipes outside before the pipe goes into the house or building and just a piece of wire.
I actually find the shotgun shells and rifle/pistol shell casings quite interesting. The mill stamps on the bottom can be used to date them and even give the location of the armoury that made them. I also find some of the posr Civil War bullets interesting. We really dont get that many over here in the UK unless it is a WW1 or WW2 site.
The silver coloured buckle is called a 'conway buckle' which yes,..can be used on harnesses but can also found on American WWII shoulder holsters believe it or not. The point in the middle fits into a hole in the leather and is used of course,...for adjustment.
Chigg! I found the exact same clock part on one of my sites here in washington state. I cannot locate any makers marks on mine... I'd be interested if you see any on yours. Best, Kiddig
I was able to try out a metal detecter from my wheel chair I wad able to get it far enough from my chair it didn't interfere with it at all what brand of detecter would you recommend for a beginner
stinks thats what i remember of basic at ft Benning 1969 we had to keep it burning and watched during the winter time our noses where full of blk coal dust
Thanks for not subjecting us to several minutes of you waving handfuls of dirt over your coil, when you have a perfectly functional pinpointer with you. Swear to Zeus, I quit videos when you're doing that ridiculous crap.

The brass alloy thingamabob @ 11:55 is half of a water pipe grounding clamp. Still made the same today, probably less than 75 years old.

Remember the first time I saw you find a crotal bell. Took me a while, but I finally remember a name other than sleigh bell. Great to see Mike with you.
Your brassy thing is a ground clamp. Probably for electric fencing! Cheers!
Thanks
3:40 we have those on the leather satchel straps on our USPS satchels. Leathe loops through and the pin is to adjust it to longe or short.
Thanks for the id.

We had a coal furnace when I was growing up and it was my brother's job to take the clinkers out!
Hey, at least the first fin of the day was a Confederate Relic! Can't be upset with that.

Nice bell!
That item at 10:50 is a clothes rod holder in a closet
You detecting videos alway ground me.
Thats a good thing
Alright!!! The Mike & Beau Show - Already in Progress!
The round reed is a pitch pipe reed.
It's a buckle uses on bridles, harness and other tack.
4:30 looks like a piece of an oil filter
Chigg sees eagles everywhere.😂
chigg the round white piece was a hub cap for a toy truck
The two round discs look like the could go together.
Are you ever gonna have Mike along for one of your desert adventures one day?
I think that would be great! 👍
That would be cool!
The one brass base with the wire goes to a lightning rod wire standoff
Hi To you both, nice things happening and your finds are cool. Greeting from Oz it’s warm here today😀Brun
Hey brunfree, it's always great to hear from our friends in Oz!
Awesome. Thanks.
Chigg, that's a Conway buckle. Could be old.
At least you got the silver nickel!
I wonder if that round reed went to a pitch pipe? Hard to think of anything that shape.
Happy Easter! 👋🏻
Almost every school around my area used coal for heat up into the 50s . Hard to detect in but I always find coins in the piles.
You are right, that would be tough, but worth the effort!

I'll try to showcase them a little more. Thanks

At 12 minutes you found half of a grounding clamp
I was able to try out a metal detecter from my wheel chair I wad able to get it far enough from my chair it didn't interfere with it at all what brand of detecter would you recommend for a beginner
It's all about what you are willing to spend on one.

stinks thats what i remember of basic at ft Benning 1969 we had to keep it burning and watched during the winter time our noses where full of blk coal dust
You got heat? ..lol. I was there in July/Aug '81. Didn't need that.
Looked like a 1944 war nicke. If so it’s silver!
I think it may be, but the date is not readable.
@@aquachigger look for the big mint mark above the dome. If it’s there, it’s silver
Is that a squeegee box reed
That's a 1944 Nickel.
Why are the Abe Lincoln pennies called stinking Lincolns ?
Because the new ones are Zinc (not copper) and rot in the ground. Maybe they stink too, I dunno.
@@aquachigger thank you for telling me.
