Given Driscoll's unrepentant behavior and his disqualification for pastoral ministry, your video, especially Phil's interview, played a significant role in our decision to discontinue our participation in this church. We sincerely appreciate your commitment to truth, which has profoundly impacted our lives.

Driscoll may have been wrong in how he handled this, but someone needed to say something. He should’ve talked to Lindell when he had the opportunity, but Lindell is focusing everyone’s attention away from the disgusting display of the pole dancer during his conference by putting all the focus on Mark Driscoll. He is deflecting everyone’s attention away from what stirred up the whole controversy in the first place, which was his decision to have this hideous display at his men’s conference. It seems to me that should be the real issue. What possessed this pastor and his staff to think this kind of presentation was OK?
They have these presentations every year at this conference. Mark has been to 7 of them. They’ve had boxers, strong men, you name it they’ve had it. It’s men performing amazing “stunts”. It’s worldly presentation just like at any charismatic church. Mark used this as a publicity stunt. Two false teachers creating division amongst their followers.

I sat in the seats, I saw what he left behind. Ironically I'm now next to James River, older and wiser and maybe a bit more guarded for my experience in Seattle. Dear Justin, I would like to tell you that I've seen a lot of coverage on that VILE stage act, by many different commentators, and the *overwhelming majority's response* coming from the viewers & comments was AMAZING...They all recognized it for exactly what is was, stood up for GOD/Jesus Christ and they rebuked it! Saying that's NOT what Christian Men want or need to see! Nor, was it a good example of how to be a *STRONGER MAN in CHRIST!* They also asked where is THE 🕊WORD of GOD being represented in that debacle! So there's definitely still HOPE for the Christian Faith and the Lord's Flock! Personally, I really appreciate and enjoy the Gosple teachings/sermons from *Dr. Voddie Baucham* and *Pastor Paul Washer*
The whole mess is fruit of what they both sowed. Driscoll was involved in the conference for years, unbiblically ran away from his sins at Mars Hill instead of repenting, and had Lindell involved in his "restoration" to ministry. Pyrotechnics and monster truck/tank stuff isn't that different from shirtless guys, it's all a show.

My wife has been on dialysis since November 2020 when the plannedemic destroyed her kidneys and when Phil talked about his health struggles I broke down emotionally having to drive my wife to dialysis center 3X a week and she’s my hero having endured brain surgery and dialysis while I am in good health! Being a woman, this is the first time seeing what goes on in the Stronger man's conference. It did look like a circus with a tank crushing cars, fireworks and Alex the pole act. Alex seductively took off his vest, caressed the pole, licked the sword and after climbing the pole when he was towards the bottom, hung upside down with arms wide looking like an upside down crucifix (whether his realized it or not). It was a gay, lustful looking act. The only thing missing was a Bud Light commercial. Christian men spent over $100 each for this. I think part of the issue is that post modernism erases history. The post modern church has a tendency to not think history is important or to forget anything that happened 11 minutes ago.
You should also be concerned how John Lindell, as of yesterday, was caught in a falsehood regarding Alex, the sword swallower. Alex did his own video that contradicted what Lindell said. This is so messy. Alex is not a "born again Christian, is not married, does not have children, was attending the Baptist Church because his friend are there".... Those are his own words. Preachers do this too much.

I've had chronic kidney disease. I used to be on kidney dialysis for over four years, until I received a kidney transplant. It's a hard thing to go through. I'm 38 years old now, but I just turned 23 right after I found out my kidneys were failing in the summer of 2008. My kidney transplant was in October of 2012, when I was 27 years old.

Dr. Andy Woods who is Pastor of Sugarland Bible Church in Texas is a very sound Biblical teacher. He is pre-trib and NOT for replacing Israel with The Church and has a book by the name of "Ever Reforming" that puts men's doctrines aside and lines it up to the Biblical truth.
Wonderful episode, brother. Grateful for your faitfulness. This entire debacle needed to be fleshed out and people need to see both Driscoll and Lindell for the wolves they are. The only reason I can see that people wrongly asserted you were defending James River Church is because they've propped up a false image of Driscoll that makes them feel like he's being a "manly" or "tough speaking" preacher that they want. They ignore the truth because it would destroy the idol they're making of him. Keep speaking the truth and ignore the trolls.

Justin, as I listened to the broader podcast - originally, I only listened to the part with Phil - one verse that aptly describes Mark came to mind... Proverbs 30:20 - The adultress eats and wipes her mouth, and says, "I have done no wickedness." That kind of describes Mark's attitude towards his stunts.

I'm sure glad that I attend a rather small local church. People really set themselves up for disappointment when they start to follow, and nearly idolize any of these big-name preachers; regardless of their theology.
It’s crazy that there’s such a lack of leadership in the church right now. Justin keeps referring to lacking discernment. The Bible especially the New Testament says discernment is a spiritual gift 1 Corinthians 12 says discerning of spirits is given by the Holy Spirit not the Word of God, 1 John 4 says don’t believe every spirit that confesses God, but examine the spirits wether they are of God.. It’s a spiritual thing. So if those gifts of the spirit have passed away like he teaches then no one can discern today, so we have to put up with bad teachers.
That's a complete strawman, Peters does not believe or teach that every single spiritual gift has been done away. Also you're equating that you have to have the gift to exercise that fruit, some people have a natural gift of discernment, and other people don't but every Christian is commanded to exercise discernment just like every Christian is commanded to show mercy and grace even though some do not have the God-given gift of mercy and Grace

Driscoll may have been wrong in how he handled this, but someone needed to say something. He should’ve talked to Lindell when he had the opportunity, but Lindell is focusing everyone’s attention away from the disgusting display of the pole dancer during his conference by putting all the focus on Mark Driscoll. He is deflecting everyone’s attention away from what stirred up the whole controversy in the first place, which was his decision to have this hideous display at his men’s conference. They have these presentations every year at this conference. Mark has been to 7 of them. They’ve had boxers, strong men, you name it they’ve had it. It’s men performing amazing “stunts”. It’s worldly presentation just like at any charismatic church. Mark used this as a publicity stunt. Two false teachers creating division amongst their followers.

I think part of the issue is that post modernism erases history. The post modern church has a tendency to not think history is important or to forget anything that happened 11 minutes ago.

I live near JRC and I'm in the Ozark community Facebook group. This whole thing is a horrible mess! It's not dying down, it may even be escalating. Non Christians are taking the opportunity to mock Christians. It's just terrible.

I don’t think God is bothered by it. There’s been foolishness and all kinds of sick stuff in the church for thousands of years. And God allows it to sort out those who truly have a heart for him from those who don’t. And the unbelievers, who are looking for an excuse, will always find an excuse.

I've had chronic kidney disease. I used to be on kidney dialysis for over four years, until I received a kidney transplant. It's a hard thing to go through. I'm 38 years old now, but I just turned 23 right after I found out my kidneys were failing in the summer of 2008. My kidney transplant was in October of 2012, when I was 27 years old.

Dr. Andy Woods who is Pastor of Sugarland Bible Church in Texas is a very sound Biblical teacher. He is pre-trib and NOT for replacing Israel with The Church and has a book by the name of "Ever Reforming" that puts men's doctrines aside and lines it up to the Biblical truth.

The only reason I can see that people wrongly asserted you were defending James River Church is because they've propped up a false image of Driscoll that makes them feel like he's being a "manly" or "tough speaking" preacher that they want. They ignore the truth because it would destroy the idol they're making of him. Keep speaking the truth and ignore the trolls.

Thank you Justin for the videos that you put out. You have helped me along with Mr. Bachman. John MacArthur Paul washer RC Spouls etc. You all have confirmed what I've had suspicions about many of these pastors. And I grew up listening to a lot of them. My mother was very deeply into quite a few of them. Such as Jim bakker. Kenneth Copeland all of them. I was even at a Kathryn Kuhlman.
But even throughout all those years as young as I was, there was always something in the pit of my stomach saying this was not right. And as I have studied the word, not as much as what I should and I'm ashamed of that. But as I'm learning with the holy Spirit helping me, I'm finding out more and more truths that I had suspicions about years ago. Once again, thank you very much for all that you do. You and the rest of the pastors that I mentioned are all in my prayers always. Thank you so much for what you do. God bless you. This is like a soap opera, it is not church nor does it even resemble one.
This breaks my heart for those who're sitting under these so called men of God.
I of course realize this exists within what should be His Body but to see it like this, I just can't.
I will be praying for the sheep sitting in those pews, may He grant them the discernment to flee from these actors true wolves in sheep's clothing.

Dear Phil, extra virgin Olive oil is a organ healer if taken daily, about 2 table spoons a day. But do check with your doctor. Olive oil poses no threat to cholesterol levels as it metabolizes fats and acts as a carrier oil to nutrients. I had to deal with a lung problem due to paint toxicity. Olive oil played a big role in getting me better over 6 months.

It’s crazy that there’s such a lack of leadership in the church right now. Justin keeps referring to lacking discernment. The Bible especially the New Testament says discernment is a spiritual gift 1 Corinthians 12 says discerning of spirits is given by the Holy Spirit not the Word of God, 1 John 4 says don’t believe every spirit that confesses God, but examine the spirits wether they are of God.. It’s a spiritual thing. So if those gifts of the spirit have passed away like he teaches then no one can discern today, so we have to put up with bad teachers.
That's a complete strawman, Peters does not believe or teach that every single spiritual gift has been done away.
Also you're equating that you have to have the gift to exercise that fruit, some people have a natural gift of discernment, and other people don't but every Christian is commanded to exercise discernment just like every Christian is commanded to show mercy and grace even though some do not have the God-given gift of mercy and Grace
