Took delivery of my SC Live 4 yesterday after many months of pondering what standalone to get. This is a great unit and can’t be beaten on value by any of the competition. Was surprised at how good engine dj was and if they can keep the updates relevant then this unit will be the envy of anyone at this price point.
I've been putting out mixes out on the SC Live4 for a month now, and I must say I absolutely love it. But please Denon update the light controls software so not all the HUE lights are on the same color all the time. If you have many lights it just makes the whole room 1 color all the time and that sucks.
It is still working perfect, no complains whatsoever. It's working even better than the club setup I have (Sc6000 & X1850) And just got a bluetooth update so that is nice. @@grahamkelly8662
Hi, have you used engine dj desktop to put your personal mp3 in the software and then put on usb stick to insert in to account live 4? If so, does the music often corrupt?
@@grahamkelly8662 I’ve never had it corrupt on me but I’m not fond on syncing with engine , don’t know if it’s just me but find it a bit shitty . The controller is probably the best I’ve ever used though and I’ve had pioneer xdjs and all sorts .
I really want prime 4 plus but don’t like layout. It’s annoying because if I actually bought it, I may find the layout to be ok but because it’s so expensive, I’m tempted to buy this sc live 4 instead. Although, I really want stems and to add other turntables and sc live 4 can’t do that. So I’m not sure what to do. I’d happily buy the sc live 4 if I knew Denon would release prime 5 with the standard much preferred layout, in a few years time.
I get what you’re saying I went with the sc live 4 as it was closer to the standard layout and it’s a good bit of kit i’m not sure when stems will be coming to the p4+ and by extension to other Denon gear I am hoping it maybe later this year as I got so many routines I could use with stems. I am not sure about the turntables being used with the sc live 4 i know the LC6000s can be connected via usb
Im really loving my new sc live 2 but I've noticed that when im using it sometimes i get an audio glitch, like a small stutter on the playing track, why is that? Is there a fix? The usb that i use is ssd, and i dont get that problem when im playing the same usb on my mixstream pro
Just bought an sc live 2 and it hasn’t got Amazon music loaded into source even when I connect to WiFi ? Any one know what’s wrong ? Or had this issue ? Thank you for any help
So if I buy sc live 4 it comes with Serato pro. Does this mean that in future, I could buy Serato blank vinyl, for my turntables and use Serato that comes with sc live 4 to be able to mix this way? Or does the Serato pro only work with school live 4? And if I want to use Serato on turntable with Serato blank vinyl, I’d have to buy a 2nd copy of Serato?
You can program your own sampler by doing the old "sample song" trick Just create auto loops and map the keys for each sample, you'll lose a channel doing this though
I'm looking for something that allows me to mix with my vinyl (after it's been digitised), in a similar way to turntables. Without worrying too much about pitch variations. Is that possible in this day and age? I'm not against all digital music, it's just the bulk of my collection is on vinyl.
@@dandf22572 Thanks very much for the suggestion. I will have a look into that solution. 😊 [Edit: just noticed I can play two tracks at once on each player, very nice!]
Denon needs to add true Traktor compatibility so I can see my traktor playlist etc on the sc live display, and get currently playing track name for display on a stream via obs
I think its funky how Denon built these amazing forward thinking controllers for years before Pioneer got its arse in gear and gave is the not ONLY supremely costly, but Also humoungous in size, the Quad, and they couldnt Even get the screening to display more than two channels at the same time😂😂😂... And then in another blatant refusal to get with the program, the Flex10 which admittedly very tasty, Even if they think er ONLY want to play with three stems... I love that IT can be instantly, but they wanted to use that to cater for the laptop dj's, AS if dj's want to bring their treasured laptops to gigs at any Cost... And kind of just to rub IT in that they Are running out of ideas, they aquire Serato to boost the team creativity... Of course just AS poor Rane has made a dedicated Serato four stem controller, albeit not with a screen but still, just for that fact deserves a mention, because Rane know their stuff just AS well AS the other plater... And I am not Even mentioning Numark's Mixstream Pro that has those WHO were already happy with the first modell, in fots because the old version doesnt include batteries😅😅😅 I dont the industri insider and out, but clealy the Denon, Numark owners must surely be giddy at how much of an advance they for on the industri.
Hi how are you , plz help I have the same unit how to video record my set so I can have quality sound at the same time video plz get back to right away I have a deadline.
why did you make crush a BPM effect rather than a Color FX. and Echo a Color FX rather than a BPM effect? it would have been better the way Pioneer did it.
Its possible your BPM effects were on. The track will keep playing for up to 32 beats after a track is stopped or faders are down depending on what you have set. Or maybe you were on CDJ mode and it was repeating the same beat after it was paused?
Thats why you get one of these. Run off that sd card or 32gb usb flash drives. I have a 2900 song library and that uses about 30gb on 1 32gb stick. You can use 1 stick and send songs to side A or B. You could essentially have 9000 songs on 2 sticks and 1 sd card. You could use more than 32gb sticks or sd cards, but it's faster reads with 32gb cap. You're never going to play more than 300 songs in a 5 hour gig anyways, so 2400 songs is more than enough if they are good songs that are known to work. It's hard to play 140 tracks in 5 hours.
@@Anglo_Browza use streaming only if you have none of your own music on usb sticks/a computer. You will need to subscribe to a streaming service first, that can be done through a mobile phone (no computer needed). How do you get the songs all with the correct bpm on Sc live

Other than that get a metronome maybe
