      not an elite player in the world but rather an elite player in the US perspective because there are also elite players in the world but in a different league (euro league, CBA, etc) it just so happened that NBA has a larger market or customers.
      NBA is basically a national league only and just added overseas players to get more income (more fans from other countries, more views, more business like merch and so on)

      There are many players outside the US who would absolutely humiliate NBA players.
      The NBA is the most competitive and hardest league in the world however its players are not necessarily the best worldwide. They are arguably in the 90th percentile on a global scale which means only 10% of humanity (basketball players) are equal or better than them.

    I would assume that even making a team overseas is an accomplishment in of itself, people calling no-name players trash on an NBA team or overseas players is a slap in the face to these ballers, as I would be happy just to make the team at my local gym. They may not be superstars or Allstars, but they play much better than the above-average player who has never made a team. Much respect to the guys making NBA and overseas teams. By the end of the night I was applauding every time he stepped on the floor and heard other people in the stands calling him “Yellow Mamba”. On the other hand, I appreciate the research and effort put into this video, but you make him sound like a poor soul running out of options and begging for a chance in the NBA... of course he wants to play here, but he was making gooood money and playing an important role for some of the biggest teams in europe, and I don´t think he´ll have any trouble finding a roster spot again over there. His numbers are better but not even close to being good or impressive an NBA gives chances to people they believe can have a high celling. This dude is 29 so the time to grow is less, the time of injuries is closer to him and he isn't a freak athlete by nba standards.

He MAYBE could've gotten a contract a couple years ago as a 3nD player after playing for baskonia, which imo was his best year as a pro, but now it's too late. He is a pretty decent athlete tho, I'd say he's above average but he doesn't show it off too much, just moving laterally and running the break from time to time

I played against Richard Dumas (former Lottery Pick for The Suns) in 2019 and Dude is in his late 40s. This Dude dropped at least 10 points in every game up to 20. It was so easy looking also. They are fast, smart and very physical. I'm not a small dude either (6-2, 325 Ibs). I played College Football and this Dude didn't push me around, but his 6'8 220 Frame made it difficult to Guarf, cause he knew how to use his size and you can tell this was his lane.

It definitely is hard to make the pro roster at a young age as there are more accomplished and mature players available on the market, so a lot of times better teams play in 2 leagues, in the 1st they play their best players and in the 2nd some youngins get more playing time. This guy made the roster and was a baller on his team while being the youngest on the team. He had a good career so far, playing in Euroleague, in some big time clubs. Hope he makes an NBA roster.

    The NBA only has 60 picks and somehow they act like the last player picked is trash ... Every other league has hundreds of picks and players come out of the 7th round and become MVPs/Goats😅

    I remember watching him (I believe) in Eurobasket 2015. He was playing out of his mind for Latvia with Porzingis. I remember thinking this guy will go to nba some point (there were rumours of Porzingis going as well). He could play 3-4 with decent shooting and athleticism. And then year after year I saw him in europe and thought he probably does not want to go to Nba.

  • @itsmeforsure5475
    @itsmeforsure5475 3 года назад +5

    His shooting% in Lavia was pretty good and he almost knocked 20% off of that so that shows you how tough it is to get off a good shot in the association. You see in the video he is draining 3's, but once your stats come in @ 36% from 2 and 32% from 3, thats low for a shooter type.

    There's probably a language barrier and not being completely accepted by his teammates at first that he has to get through and then he'll play more relaxed. We've seen some guys from overseas and what they're capable of in the right environment and they're quite good.

    To people clowning on this guy, go 1-1 with him and see how that goes. I respect the guy for pouring his heart into the sport. I don’t respect shit talkers running their mouths…projecting their own insecurities and jealously.
