    i would suggest getting rid of the cap floor, that way you dont have to overpay for fringe first graders just to hit it

    If politis wasnt associated with roosters would they be as prevalent in the top echelon of the player market so continuously? i dont understand having a salary, cap but then turn around and allow 3rd party deals. i would like to see each teams player expenditure made publicly.

    On the subject of the BLINKER in the Dolphins Easts game on Friday night. With 12:40 to go in the first half. Tedesco tackles Bostock 5 metres out, is on the ground when the ball is played to Plath, makes to effort to mark up and then tackles Plath less than 5 metres out. HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT NOT A PROFESSIONAL FOUL? Mr Voss and everyone watching immediately declared it a sin bin but neither the Ref or the geniuses in the bunker. Not saying that it would have altered the result but with the Dolphins behind 18-12 and Tedesco in the bin it could well have been a Dolphins win. As it was it was a howler and certainly hasn't done them any favours trying to get into the finals. If it even gets mentioned by Annesley I'd like to see how he explains why Tesco stayed on the field other than to say "Sorry Wayne, we stuffed you up again". ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!

    Buzz and his sneaky little innuendo saying Luai is the only one going to wests but Turuva is also going and Fish is off to NZ. How many panthers have Penrith lost since 2020 and then there are the young blokes poached before they debuted in the nrl, Penrith has lost so many players they now have money to spend and they picked up a couple of young blokes.
    The problem with the salary cap is privately owned wealthy clubs and the third party payments.

    • @jackohere1878
      @jackohere1878 2 месяца назад

      Third party payments are a hidden scourge that actually make the salary cap a joke.
      All third party payments should be made public so fans know when their side is up against a far more highly paid side.

      Spot on mate. I'm not a panthers fan, but I think it's unfair that they invest in all these players only for Dogs and Roosters to come along and poach them.
      There needs to be salary cap exemptions for locally developed players.

      @@stevvvvveperryget real Penrith have all the talent in Sydney because it's the only area left where all the poor ppl live whom play rugby league, up here in Queensland it's the same Brisbane get all their talent from the poor outer areas like Logan, Caboolture and rural country towns/cities, not inner city Brisbane

      @@SkeletorsSon Tigers and Eels have just as much talent, but why aren't they in the top 4 every year ? Their development sucks. Panthers' development is the best, which is why their juniors are the best, yet they get punished for it year after year

      Is Perth really viable though? Like really? Good TV time slot but the logistics would make it challenging. It would need to be a new brand though. Moving an existing club would be a backward step. 2nd NZ club before a Perth club.

      Wests own 90% of the joint venture and Campbelltown/Group 6 are their juniors. Balmain leagues club shut many years ago, they are lucky to not have gone they way of Newtown and the Bears. If anyone should go west to Perth it is Balmain but Norths and Newtown are already in the running.
