yes girl yes!!!! i started my channel relaunch one week ago! in that week I have uploaded 7 videos and gained a total number of 76 subscribers! I totally get its a small number but i can see how in a week if you really work on networking you can grow your channel. There are many videos telling you how to make money on YT, but yours is the first where my BS detector didn't go off :) I've recently started my own channel and am hitting one of the pain points, weight loss, and people are genuinely relating to my struggle. I'm still very small on here but getting about 1.5 subs a day so I'm doing something right, but have so much more to learn. I'm going to start working my way thru your videos and see what else I can learn. Also, regarding the Banana girl, I tried watching her videos a few years back and couldn't take it. It was all about her and feeding her ego / bank account, I didn't see any value. Nothing else makes me as happy as when I film but I have to put it on hold somewhat while I'm in school etc. I've wanted to do this since 2012 and I've never forgotten about my dream which tells me this is something I need to stick with and see through, one way or another. Wow! Well I had a quick look at your channel. Congrats on your success and hard work. There are a few things that come to mind for me though. I don't think that my e-book is the right thing for you. You don't seem to need help getting more adsense money, views or subscribers. You need a better business technique and to figure out what your audience wants so you can create and sell it to them to improve their lives and make your channel some money. I don't understand what a dog documentary is. Is there a specific audience that does understand that? Are these videos informative in some way or just for entertainment? The important thing to find out here is why are people watching your videos? What do they want? Dog training advice? Information about dog breeds? You had items for sale on your website that I did not understand. Were those videos of dogs? Of dogs just running around? Or were they instructional videos of some kind? My online course The Business of RUclips comes out this Saturday and it is about the business side of RUclips. While I do think you could use a few of the tips in my e-book, the online course would be better suited to you. If you buy the e-book before Saturday, you are an e-book club member who will get early access to the course at a special rate. Otherwise, the course will be released to the public SOON but at a later date. Thanks for responding. Yeah my business model is a mess. I'm all over the place. I work regularly doing freelance film production work(director, producer, and cinematography). So I never really had the time to pay much attention to RUclips. I started the channel just so that I could post vtrailers of my DVDs at no cost. But the channel steadily grew. In 2011 RUclips made me a partner and I started getting paid. I haven't made a DVD in the past 3.5 years. For about a year and a half I've basically been focusing on creating content for youtube. You'll notice that the new videos are various breeds where before I only did one breed. If you watch my videos I travel to different kennels and produce short documentaries on various dog breeds. Along with the information I think my audience likes the quality of my work and the fact I document some relatively rare breeds. Oh and the fact that I don't approach dogs ownership like the traditional corporate media companies. Saturdays are never good for me, I have two small children and really love giving them all my time on the weekend. They are the primary reason why I'm more interested in making RUclips a full time endeavor. Looking at your video, has convinced me to look into my own Amazon store, that seems like a no brainer. I'm kicking myself for not having one already. I'll sub to your channel. If I can make an online class I'll def do that. Thanks!
Amazing thoughts about youtube and pointing out what consumers are looking for in a channel. I like how you mention your growth starting out. It's hard to get started with getting subs and views. Then people get discouraged and quit. The key is to keep doing it and learning and growing along the way.

The trick to getting enough views to make that kind of money is to make videos that people will go back and watch over and over.
Same here!! I watched Freelee for years. She's actually really helped me get fit and healthy and also expanded my mind to finding freedom. Except you went proactive, while I'm still just a viewer. Good for you! Some of us need more motivation.....and hope.
Going to work at 14 and leaving home at 16 along with all of your other struggles has given you an appreciation for the value of a dollar. It has also taught you respect for those who spend their money on your services and products as you know first hand the effort required to make it. may i suggest: make sure to avoid phrases which are self defeating, like "i cant", "i never could", "i dont have that attribute (confidence)" instead use the Fake it 'Till you Make it strategy. anytime you want to go talk to someone you dont know, challenge yourself to just go up and say hi and this part is key,...dont care about the outcome, just let it happen. its like 'just do it', but more like 'if you get asked how your day is, always say you're doing awesomely, even if you're not", because it will improve your mood. relax and dont overthink so much, good luck

If you have many sub then you will know that a nice chunk of them will stay active and watch you. so you already know you have views. Subs doesn't mean you'll make money but having more subs increases the chances of more viewers which obviously makes money.
***** Their are people who have a thousand subscribers but have 3,000,000 views on every video. I'm just saying views are WAY more important than subscribers. Just because people are subscribed to you doesn't mean they will watch every video. PewDiePie has 40 million subscribers but has a 3 million view average on his videos.

I know how you felt.. I caught sepsis in 2009. My hair was falling and I had ball spots. I had to cut my long hair so short that I looked like a boy. The Sepsis left me with no strength. I also have polio since I was 1 years old. I'm in a wheelchair. I started my channel around 3 years and love it. Though RUclips I've learned how to do gardening and I share with the neighbors, My checks are small but with the experience and the natural foods that I get, it's worth it. Great vidro

I was so afraid to leave the house for two straight years (Unemployment for unlawful unfair lost of job)I will be doing a video about it. I still hate leaving the house to shop and work. I have a severe form of Urticaria, which can be disfiguring and if a job causes the hives to break out, I usually quit. I've had over 6 jobs this years alone so far. I hope to keep the one I just got, because I'm so happy there, tolerable. I got the schedule I want to continue college.(Graphic Arts) and no hives. Hi Adelle, just came across your channel and have to say I like what I've seen (just sub'd too). There are many videos telling you how to make money on YT, but yours is the first where my BS detector didn't go off :) I've recently started my own channel and am hitting one of the pain points, weight loss, and people are genuinely relating to my struggle. I'm still very small on here but getting about 1.5 subs a day so I'm doing something right, but have so much more to learn. I'm going to start working my way thru your videos and see what else I can learn.
Also, regarding the Banana girl, I tried watching her videos a few years back and couldn't take it. It was all about her and feeding her ego / bank account, I didn't see any value.
Appreciate the effort in this video, looking forward to learning from you and perhaps one day shake your hand when I too am successful on YT.

Wow! Well I had a quick look at your channel. Congrats on your success and hard work. There are a few things that come to mind for me though. I don't think that my e-book is the right thing for you.
You don't seem to need help getting more adsense money, views or subscribers. You need a better business technique and to figure out what your audience wants so you can create and sell it to them to improve their lives and make your channel some money.
I don't understand what a dog documentary is. Is there a specific audience that does understand that? Are these videos informative in some way or just for entertainment? The important thing to find out here is why are people watching your videos? What do they want? Dog training advice? Information about dog breeds?
You had items for sale on your website that I did not understand. Were those videos of dogs? Of dogs just running around? Or were they instructional videos of some kind?
My online course The Business of RUclips comes out this Saturday and it is about the business side of RUclips.
While I do think you could use a few of the tips in my e-book, the online course would be better suited to you. If you buy the e-book before Saturday, you are an e-book club member who will get early access to the course at a special rate. Otherwise, the course will be released to the public SOON but at a later date.
Regardless of what you decide, I will continue to have free tips and advice on my RUclips channel so stay tuned and thanks for watching.

Thanks for responding. Yeah my business model is a mess. I'm all over the place. I work regularly doing freelance film production work(director, producer, and cinematography). So I never really had the time to pay much attention to RUclips.
I started the channel just so that I could post vtrailers of my DVDs at no cost. But the channel steadily grew. In 2011 RUclips made me a partner and I started getting paid.
I haven't made a DVD in the past 3.5 years. For about a year and a half I've basically been focusing on creating content for youtube. You'll notice that the new videos are various breeds where before I only did one breed.
If you watch my videos I travel to different kennels and produce short documentaries on various dog breeds. Along with the information I think my audience likes the quality of my work and the fact I document some relatively rare breeds. Oh and the fact that I don't approach dogs ownership like the traditional corporate media companies.
Saturdays are never good for me, I have two small children and really love giving them all my time on the weekend. They are the primary reason why I'm more interested in making RUclips a full time endeavor.
Looking at your video, has convinced me to look into my own Amazon store, that seems like a no brainer. I'm kicking myself for not having one already.

Amazing thoughts about youtube and pointing out what consumers are looking for in a channel. I like how you mention your growth starting out. It's hard to get started with getting subs and views. Then people get discouraged and quit. The key is to keep doing it and learning and growing along the way.

+David Lamoureux I would question if they are actually "youtube gurus" if that's the case. Tim Schmoyer of Video Creators coached a guy who makes $30k a month all from Adsense.
The trick to getting enough views to make that kind of money is to make videos that people will go back and watch over and over.

Going to work at 14 and leaving home at 16 along with all of your other struggles has given you an appreciation for the value of a dollar. It has also taught you respect for those who spend their money on your services and products as you know first hand the effort required to make it.

may i suggest:
make sure to avoid phrases which are self defeating, like "i cant", "i never could", "i dont have that attribute (confidence)"
instead use the Fake it 'Till you Make it strategy.
anytime you want to go talk to someone you dont know, challenge yourself to just go up and say hi and this part is key,...dont care about the outcome, just let it happen.
its like 'just do it', but more like 'if you get asked how your day is, always say you're doing awesomely, even if you're not", because it will improve your mood.

Subscribers has nothing to do with making money on RUclips
If you have many sub then you will know that a nice chunk of them will stay active and watch you. so you already know you have views. Subs doesn't mean you'll make money but having more subs increases the chances of more viewers which obviously makes money.
***** Their are people who have a thousand subscribers but have 3,000,000 views on every video. I'm just saying views are WAY more important than subscribers. Just because people are subscribed to you doesn't mean they will watch every video. PewDiePie has 40 million subscribers but has a 3 million view average on his videos.
Just hit 500 subs last month and I'm so thankful to all my viewers. It means a lot to know you've made a difference in someone's life.

I know how you felt.. I caught sepsis in 2009. My hair was falling and I had ball spots. I had to cut my long hair so short that I looked like a boy. The Sepsis left me with no strength. I also have polio since I was 1 years old. I'm in a wheelchair. I started my channel around 3 years and love it. Though RUclips I've learned how to do gardening and I share with the neighbors, My checks are small but with the experience and the natural foods that I get, it's worth it. Great vidro

I was so afraid to leave the house for two straight years (Unemployment for unlawful unfair lost of job)I will be doing a video about it. I still hate leaving the house to shop and work. I have a severe form of Urticaria, which can be disfiguring and if a job causes the hives to break out, I usually quit. I've had over 6 jobs this years alone so far. I hope to keep the one I just got, because I'm so happy there, tolerable. I got the schedule I want to continue college.(Graphic Arts) and no hives. I'm hoping to be a full time home business person with a RUclips channel. Thanks for the inspiration.
