I once thought I had a failed ceiling fan remote receiver. I was disappointed it failed so quickly. I was ready to replace it when I discovered that the remote control dip switches had simply moved when it had been dropped since the dip switch codes were different. Once I reset them it worked. Now I always recommend taking a photo of the dip switch settings before finishing up fan installs. It can be a pain to take the fan apart just to check the code. It was great to see your debugging process and I’m glad you got it working.
The real purpose of the "smart" wattage limiter is to add an additional failure point for more sales. They could have done it cheaper and more reliably with a self resetting thermal circuit breaker.

I was removing a 3d print at work using a razor blade. The blade slipped my finger got sliced. I still have no feeling in most of that finger...
when you replaced component in the current limiter, how were you planning on heat dissipation?

Thanks man great video
Hey man, can you please provide me with a circuit diagram for the rc car you did a while back? Would be greatly appriciated.

Your ceiling fan is going the wrong way
Wow! Thanks, I was wondering why it wasn't blowing air down. There is a switch on the side that changes motor direction. I did not know that before.
