Very good. The grinder rather than a wood turning tool is a great idea to speed up production. I wonder if you could turn your drill press on its side and make a tool hold so you can just wood turn in the more traditional way.
You obviously have the means to buy a lathe. You have a nice drill press and table saw, I know you aren't hurting for cash that you can't afford a lathe. Using a grinder, probably the most dangerous tool for a newbie to use, is terrible advice to show in a video. I just can't believe this.

Agreed that angle grinder is dangerous, but he was using it with a sanding disc.
