Get together with the "Cars and Cameras" channel, they will be in Bonneville this year running a "mini bike" with a billet alcohol engine reportedly making like 45bhp.
They seem to be real decent guys (youtube presence can be deceptive) so I think a collab might be worth it for both of your channels......and they have over a million subs, so there's that.

@@blueovalracing1582 I've long been saying in the comments section here that there are plenty examples of boosted 2 strokes out there in the snow mobile world and NONE of them are supercharged; because it doesn't work.......or to be specific it doesn't work how it's supposed to and doesn't make the power desired for all the weight added. Nitrous is better option than supercharging in my opinion but i digress. The snow mobile guys all run a turbocharger post stinger pipe! That way the 2 stroke makes powerband first and then it has flow to drive the turbo and then the second powerband kicks in with almost violence! 3 cylinder big bore 2 strokes each running their own expansion chamber and then all 3 stinger pipes drive the turbo...... No mufflers as the turbo is just enough the muffler not to add more back pressure.
Expansion chambers were notably more slender compared to motocross bikes, but volumetrically they were still large but over a bigger area of the pipe to bring the powerband on more gradually but widen the powerband to allow for more RPM (my theory anyway) and this allows for more 'headroom' (unintentional pun) for the turbo.....perhaps?🤔
Either way the proof was in there. The dude only has troubles keeping it cool powder snow blocks the radiator ducts (which happens quite regularly in snow mobiling apparently?)this issue is that he gets dramatically reduced response from noticing to cooking a motor very easily? Where a stock setup is much more forgiving in that it takes a fair bit of unnoticed heat while riding to cook it and because you aren't going as fast the steam rising up become noticeable.....on a turbo one by the time you've noticed the steam it's probably too late? He was working on the ECU to automatically enact some counter measures reducing power (which you definitely notice - flagging the issue) but he was then having troubles with anomalous triggers causing it to de-power when it wasn't actually hot? Just some gremlins in the tuning but not really a deal breaker in my opinion...... maybe the 10 motors he's been through to get to that point might be a deal breaker for me though 😆
So yeah knowing that dude is out there in snow mobile land doing his shit we get to watch some great engineering that is ultimately leading to inevitable failure? What more can I say other than what I've just done now? I even posted the link to the guys RUclips video and not even a response? So he's not looking in the comments here which is a real shame

Plus having to deal with sponsor while you are trying to run your bike my guess is failure on both efforts. Compartmentalize. For your effort in collecting sponsors, get a paypal and gofundme account set up so your fandom can send you 1 or 2 dollars a pop. Then find a rep who can speak to sponsors for you.

One huge problem I see is the difference in altitude between Colorado and the salt flats.
Trying to tune an engine in Colorado for a run that's probably 5000 feer lower in altitude is a guessing game.

@@jaredlancaster4137 I didn't realize we had salt lakes so far above sea level here.
Burning Man is held in the Black Rock desert and I always thought it was high elevation but it's not as high as Bonnieville.
Even with only a 1000 feet difference I think there could be unexpected tuning problems.

please someone help me out here ... last time i was seriously watching this channel, the creator found that everything leaked ... He tore everything apart and it looked like he was on the verge of giving up.
Suddenly he introduces the blower ... and what ? Did he solve his leakages? Does his prototype actually work after 2+ years of not really improving ?

The engine with the blower is an older separate project that he picked back up, stoked to see it back on the channel. The leaky engine your talking about seems to be on the back burner for now. That engine is a prototype design and now that some of the "bugs" are worked out I'll bet he makes a few new parts and it will be one of the best high rpm port designs ever made.

@@TessaTickle There are several engines to test several theories. The brute force engine you saw the other day is a new configuration of an engine that Alex had been working on last year. The engine with the leaks was a non forced induction engine he was using to get back to basics. Watching all of the videos is actually a good investment of time if you really want to know what’s going on. There is a lot.
