You both amazingly explained the lesson that was easy to understand. I give my heartfelt thanks to you guys. Keep making such knowledgeable videos so that people can learn perfect English. 😍😍❤️
Marconi AP Hi there I hope you don't mind me correcting your sentence. You wrote listening this youtube channel rather than listening to this youtube channel. You've omitted the preposition to. Listen to something or someone. Good luck with your English.

Guys you’re really amazing #Your way of making understand #Your pronunciation #Addressing without grammar mistakes #Overall you are GOD of English 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Gokson. In this situation, 'would' is used in the situation of offering something to someone or invite them to do something. We have another lesson on 'would' which you may also find helpful: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs. Hope this is useful for you!
thank you so much !! , I'm not a native English speaker by the reason I'm not very good at English but, your lesson was very helpful for me, thanks both
This was a very interesting and very important lesson! Of course it wasn't easy enough for us whose English is the second or the third language! However, your teaching was understandable a lot! Now, we must do repetition! I will do it! Greece greets you!
Firstly, I would like to thank a lot that you use the word Nepal, being a Nepalese I feel so proud whenever it's used in a nice way. And, talking about lession, I really enjoyed it as well as yours other videos. The way of your teaching which always helps me to understand the English language clearly. I often time feel if I could be a teacher I'd be like you.
Hi teacher Stephanie! May I ask you one question ,please? You said," we can rarely use 'will' in one or two cases in the past" at 12:25 in this video. How? I just want to learn how to use it. Could you explain me with examples and details? By the way, thank you very much for this video. It's really help me out in my lessons.
Hi! Teachers at OOE.You teachers'deliverance is beyond imagination because the nitty-gritty of the topic is shared in such a way that you share the most technical aspects in the most understandable way........ I'd like to request you teachers that you should cover topics on relative pronouns, like, who, whom, that and which.Another intersting topic is complex subject-verb agreement. And last but not the least, noun clause, adjective clause and adverb clause...... as well as simple, complex and compound and compound-complex sentences..... Thanks & regards......
We're so glad that you enjoyed the lesson, Prashant! Thank you for the suggestions, will will keep them in mind! We have also made lessons covering a few of these topics. You can find them on our website: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/grammar-lesson-1-sentence-structure, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/sentence-structure, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/make-complex-sentences.
Nice sentences, Krishanu! Some suggestions: 1) '...see your next video when it is uploaded,' not, 'will be uploaded'. 2) '...if the Oxford Online English lesson...' not, '...if Oxford Online English lesson...'. Hope this helps you!
Hi, I have a doubt in minute 8:42. "Well, I would come if I was free" The question is: Is it fine to say " if I were free" instead ? Thank you so much for your classes! By by
Hi Jorge, in this case 'was' is the correct form. When we use '...if I was...' this is something that could actually happen. When we use, '...if I were...' this couldn't actually happen. For example, 'If I were a bird, I would fly to Africa'. Here, you could not actually be a bird, so we use 'were' instead of 'was'. Hope this is useful for you!
Thanks for the comment, Wellington! Our presenters shoot in different places using slightly different setups, which makes it difficult to balance and standardise the audio sometimes. We're thinking about how we can do it better in future!

Hi Stephanie, Please could you tell What does the question 'Wouldn't you think of living in other country?' might mean? Does it mean that (do you Refuse to think of living in other country?) OR (Didn't you imagine of living in other country?)
Hi Arman, this means, 'would you not think of living in another country?'. In your desires, do you not want this? When we use negatives in this way, we almost assume that the other person 'would' or 'should' live in another country. So we emphasize, 'why would you not'? We want to know what reason they could possibly have for not wanting to live in another country. Hope this helps you!

Good morning, I have difficulties understanding how "I would help you if you asked" is equivalent to "I won't help you". Could you explain it to me in more detail, please ?
Good question, Tina. A better way to think about it is being a real situation or not. If it was something that was really going to happen, we would say something like: 'When you ask, I will help you.' When we use 'if' and 'would' we are imagining the future, so it is not actually going to happen. Therefore, 'If you asked, I would help you,' is referring to a possibility but not a certainty for the future. Hope this helps you!
Thanks for the comment, Julian! Our presenters shoot in different places using slightly different setups, which makes it difficult to balance and standardise the audio sometimes. We're thinking about how we can do it better in future!
