Hi Gokson. In this situation, 'would' is used in the situation of offering something to someone or invite them to do something. We have another lesson on 'would' which you may also find helpful: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs. Hope this is useful for you!

Marconi AP Hi there I hope you don't mind me correcting your sentence.
You wrote listening this youtube channel rather than listening to this youtube channel. You've omitted the preposition to. Listen to something or someone. Good luck with your English.

Hi! Teachers at OOE.You teachers'deliverance is beyond imagination because the nitty-gritty of the topic is shared in such a way that you share the most technical aspects in the most understandable way........
I'd like to request you teachers that you should cover topics on relative pronouns, like, who, whom, that and which.Another intersting topic is complex subject-verb agreement.
And last but not the least, noun clause, adjective clause and adverb clause......
as well as simple, complex and compound and compound-complex sentences.....
Thanks & regards......

can't thank you enough for your effort. By any chance, would it be possible to do a tutorial on "can, could, may, might, will, would, shall, should" all together in a single video?
Thanks for the suggestion. We most likely won't be doing that, as we have videos on these modal verbs already. You can find them on our website: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/?s=modal+verbs

Hi, hope you are doing well, I heard American video in which teacher used would have frequently but I couldn't understand in which sense she used would have. Can we use would have for possession in future. Thanks
Hi Saleem. 'Would have' as a modal verb can be used to express the imaginary past. We have a lesson to help: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-have-could-have-should-have. Hope this is useful for you!
1) I will see your next video when it will be uploaded.
2) I would love to go with a friend, if Oxford Online English lesson was not uploaded today.
Nice sentences, Krishanu! Some suggestions:
1) '...see your next video when it is uploaded,' not, 'will be uploaded'.
2) '...if the Oxford Online English lesson...' not, '...if Oxford Online English lesson...'.
Hope this helps you!
I appreciate the content and the efforts of Oxford online English, but, It might be better if the producer use a professional sound. Anyway thanks
Thanks for the comment, Julian! Our presenters shoot in different places using slightly different setups, which makes it difficult to balance and standardise the audio sometimes. We're thinking about how we can do it better in future!
Good morning,
I have difficulties understanding how "I would help you if you asked" is equivalent to "I won't help you". Could you explain it to me in more detail, please ?
Good question, Tina. A better way to think about it is being a real situation or not. If it was something that was really going to happen, we would say something like: 'When you ask, I will help you.' When we use 'if' and 'would' we are imagining the future, so it is not actually going to happen. Therefore, 'If you asked, I would help you,' is referring to a possibility but not a certainty for the future. Hope this helps you!
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 It does. Thank you for answering my question. Your lessons are wonderful.
Respected Teacher. Would you please clear my doubt about the structure (would + be + noun) (would + be + ing)
What do these sentences say and in which tense.
1. I would be doctor.
2. She would be in office.
3. Ram would be working.
Thanks in advance sir.
And hope for prompt reply
Hi there, thanks for watching. We have a lesson on 'would' which might give you more help: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs.
Nice
Great video
Thanks for watching, Asif!
Hi Stephanie, Please could you tell What does the question 'Wouldn't you think of living in other country?' might mean?
Does it mean that (do you Refuse to think of living in other country?) OR (Didn't you imagine of living in other country?)
Hi Arman, this means, 'would you not think of living in another country?'. In your desires, do you not want this? When we use negatives in this way, we almost assume that the other person 'would' or 'should' live in another country. So we emphasize, 'why would you not'? We want to know what reason they could possibly have for not wanting to live in another country. Hope this helps you!
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 Great. Thank you. I understood the question. But what should be the answer (but I would think of living abroad. For me, this answer means I want to live abroad in imaginary world but not in real) OR (I have thought of living abroad. This answer is clear)
Thank you so match

can you please make a video about using would vs did in past
Hi there. Thanks for the suggestion. We have a few lessons on these topics which might help you: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/talk-about-the-past-in-english, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs.
Tanks more a lot..
Hi, I have a doubt in minute 8:42. "Well, I would come if I was free" The question is: Is it fine to say " if I were free" instead ? Thank you so much for your classes! By by
Hi Jorge, in this case 'was' is the correct form. When we use '...if I was...' this is something that could actually happen. When we use, '...if I were...' this couldn't actually happen. For example, 'If I were a bird, I would fly to Africa'. Here, you could not actually be a bird, so we use 'were' instead of 'was'. Hope this is useful for you!
In this case wouldn’t you use the first conditional ?
I will come if I am free ?
Great video! Thanks :)
Thanks for watching, Hayato!
Pretty awesome dude!🔥👏🏽
Good job
Thanks for the comment, Yoani!
Hi, Im Shane from Canada. I understand might, would, will. Its useful lecture. Thank you very much.
However,
I'm so wondering would be, and might be.
You showed an example, it will be hot next week? what if i say it will hot next week?
Same way, it might be hot next week? what if it might hot next week?
He won't come unless you tell him several weeks beforehand
why he won't or might not be come unless you tell him several weeks beforehand?
Sorry, i know it might be easy. (wait! might be? im not sure)
why be verb following modal verbs
Hi Shane. 'Would be', 'might be' and 'will be' follow the same rules. For example, 'It will be hot next week,' expresses certainty. It 'might be hot' is a possibility for it to be hot.
We have a few other lessons which might also help you: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/modal-verbs-possibility, www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/english-modal-verbs-introduction.
Difference between I will go Vs I would go. Please explain it

Bro u have good voice
Hi, please make a video at "would vs will" because it is very difficult to understand which one should be use. For example : now time is 8 AM morning, and i am talking about my next visit and i say, I will go to New York at 5 PM today or I would go to New York at 5 PM today. Which one is correct. A teacher taught me, I should be use "would" because "would" is past of will. So if i am talking about today's visit so i should be use "would". My teacher said " will doesn't use for present day". I am very confused. Please solve it 🙏
In your case, you should use 'will', because you're talking about something real/possible in the future. Actually, you'd probably use a different future form. See this vid (www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/talk-about-future) for more details!
It's true that 'would' is *sometimes* the past form of 'will', but not always, and it's not a useful way to think about it. 'Will' and 'would' have different meanings and can't be used in the same way. We also have a video with more details about the meanings of 'would': www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/would-modal-verbs
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 Thank you so much.
