Everybody keeps saying washi tape, but my setting i've always used for a kiss cut was just regular laser paper🙃 either way, this way to make stickers with the joy is MUCH more simple than other videos i've seen!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for since buying my Cricut Joy which I've not used for the past 2 months except for a test. Now I can! Thank you so much!😇
I just got Cricut Joy on 28-Jan-23 (yesterday). I never had a sticker-cutting machine. I just came across found your this VDO and yes helps me a lot. Thank you so much for making this VDO. Now I can make sticker sheets. I hope you will do a lot of VDO of Cricut joy. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Sarah for this work around. I bought the Joy at a super price and bought it in hopes of making stickers on it. Oops, I didn't see that it was not made for stickers. I will dig out the languishing machine and give it a try. I'd give you a hug if we were together. 🤗
Wow love this channel.. I just got a joy wasn't going to get one but I make earrings and I needed something small. Your videos I can follow no messing around just teach... WONDERFUL
This is such a helpful tutorial! Thank you so much! Easy to follow steps, and when I did a little test sticker sheet, it turned out beautifully! So excited to make my own stickers with the Joy. :D Thank you!
Here it is Oct 30 2023. I bought my Joy about a year ago...didn't know the xtra was coming out. Anyway, Im just beginning to know the Joy...the Xtra would be great, but Im only a casual user and really don't want to have to buy a new machine or new mats since I cannot use Joy mats w/the xtra. So I would like to make some stickers though so Im gonna give this a shot. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I have been searching for help with using the Joy. You are a Blessing and I want to use my joy and just you walking through the process is the best. I’m going to join your page because I want to make things with my Joy. Keep you the excellent content
Is there another way of printing the border box without using canva? When I print I only get the larger outer box not the measurement box I need so I can’t line it up on my mat?
This is awesome thank you. I have tried this twice, but when my JOy cuts it, the circles are out of line to the circle i have printed. I have done all the steps you advice and have the sticker sheet within the box i printed on the mat at the start, Why would the circle cuts not be in line:? Thanks :)
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
I have recently bought my cricut joy, i really like this video! I am wantig to try this but i am quite unsure how to. I have got special sticker paper (also the newest ones of cricut itself), i do have made stickers but then only with the pens and cuts. Really hope this works! Can i also do this with stickers from the design space of cricut? I loved the halloween themed stickers! Also want to try it with christmas themed stickers!
Got a Joy for Christmas and was super excited to find this tutorial after all the ones saying "no can do" to making stickers with the Joy. When I select the Maker 3 to get the print-then-cut option though, it's telling me I need to set up the machine before I can do it :/ Is there a workaround to this?
Thank you so much for this tutorial, you made it so clear (: I have a question. Is that the maximum measures I can work with to make a sticker sheet on the Joy? Or can I use the full grid on the mat to print and cut? A big hug from Chile 🇨🇱💕
You can use full grid as long as your paper is long enough. Cricut Design Space has some new print then cut features coming too so we might see more options very soon!
@@SarahVanderkooy So I got myself a Cricut Joy and yesterday I print and cut my first stickers by following your tutorial, it was a total success (: I gave them out to my family and now they want more sticker haha
Thank you for the tutorial! I’m looking to create waterproof labels - using write function on Cricut Joy with writable vinyl and pen instead of printing using a printer. Do you think I can use this technique to waterproof them?
Yes you should be able to do that. Just skip the printing part and instead write then cut, it will actually be easier than this process. Just make sure the writable vinyl is waterproof and you're good to go!
I’m thinking of getting a Cricut joy but I was curious if I need a desktop to use all the cutting settings, or if I can just use my phone with the app ?
Your phone and app will be just fine, that's typically how I control my Joy. There are only a few minor difference between the app and a computer and I think they only apply to settings with the larger machines. Between the app and the Joy you can take your crafting anywhere, it's really nice.
It's linked in the description, from Neato labels. It is waterproof but I really like the new (just released) waterproof sticker sets from Cricut. They have a laminate layer and really hold up to washing and wear and tear.
I have watched this about three times in anticipation for getting my joy! Lol Anyway, I finally have is as of yesterday and am following this video step by step but when I get to the print part, it wants me to select an accessory! How do I connect a printer to the app? I only have my iPad so am using design space on that. TIA xx
I haven't done this with an ipad but here are my thoughts. You should be able to print anything from an ipad. I would try to print something else and make sure your printer is connected appropriately then within the Cricut app your printer should show up as an option. I'm so glad you are excited and I hope you can get past this part!
I've been trying to achieve this but I use a tablet with the cricut app and I can't seem to get the grid and stickers to line up so the cuts are always off. Any suggestions?
I’m having trouble with lining up the image to cut. When I go to print, mine has the corners marked, whereas yours just has the rectangle outline. I’m not sure how to get it to look like yours :/ I attempted to cut and it was off from the images I had
Hello and thank you so much for this! I would like to kindly ask you if you ever encountered a problem with the printer not printing to scale the registration boxes. Whatever I send to Print from Cricut Design Space comes out with about 0.3 cm smaller than on the screen. I have no idea what more I can do. I have an Epson Tank, I also set the paper to A4 in both Design SPance and in the printer preferences, also the Scale is set to none, but it still comes out at a different size than on the screen. I tried it in a million ways, I even set the scale to Fit or Fill, but the same size comes out. Thank you so much again, this is one the clearest videos out there!
I looked into this a little and I don't think I have an answer for you. My printer has a calibration option, separate from Cricut, that might be something to look into. I hope you find a solution, this sounds frustrating!
@@SarahVanderkooy Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! The only thing I could do to mitigate this, is to reduce the size of the cut from Cricut Design Space (after the print part) directly proportional to the printer's error (a bit of a manual calibration). So my printer prints exactly 0,3 cm smaller. I resized my design to 0.3 cm smaller for the cut part. I will try to find some other drivers maybe for my Epson Eco Tank, if not, I might just end up buying a whole new printer.
Great question. The glossy paper is one large sticker, if comes that way. This process prints an image onto the sticker paper then the Cricut cuts out the shape around it.
I have problems to print the exact size. May be because I sent to mail and then print? Not print directly from cricut app? ( tried many times. On Canva it is 2/6 inch when I print and cut it is too short and narrow
I couldn't get past the step where it says I have to put explore to be able to do it, it asks me to register my explore 3 and I couldn't make the stickers anymore😢
You can print with just about anything. Make sure the paper you are using is compatible with an ink jet printer, the one in this video is. And do a test page. See how the color quality is. Hope it works for you!
Great question. I update my software often to make sure I have the most up to date version. You can try going to your menu/settings and seeing if there is an update. Curious if anyone else has something similar to you.
I get everything made and go back to design spaces to print, I hit the make button and then my only other choice is to click on the next button. Then it wants me to select an Accessory. I have the setting set for the Explore so it will print and everything looks like yours does but it won’t let me past the select an Accessory part. I have hit cancel and it doesn’t make any difference. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Or know how to get it to print. I am on an Apple tablet and I’m using the free software. My software for Design Spaces is version 5.32.0 Hope someone know what to do, I am wanting to get this to work and about to give up.
Make sure you change the machine selection to Joy after everything is created, you can use Maker or Explore to set it all up but then have to change it back.
The paper and ink do matter, I love these Neato labels and I use a Canon printer. amzn.to/47ZDuOZ Always set it to a photo or high quality setting to print and choose glossy photo paper.
I followed this all the way to where you change your setting from joy to maker. I don’t have that? And my interface is black not white with the tool bar at the top. Is it cause I’m using the trial? Idk I’m stuck right at this part of making stickers with the joy…..anyone?
Sounds like your version of Design Space is different, but it shouldn't have anything to do with the trial. Try to update your software, click on the 3 bards on the top left then scroll down to update. Hopefully that helps!
