-- I appreciate you noticing all the small touches foreshadowing events throughout the movie. Although you missed one. The magnetic letters on the refrigerator read, “Hey E” as in Evan, the character’s name. But then the “H” falls into the Chinese food container, leaving the word “ey E”… and the character ultimately gets the ladder through the eye. Booyaa!
-- you are entirely correct in identifying what makes these movies work: the audience participation as they try to guess how the characters are going to be taken out… only to have it come in a most unexpected way.
-- she has pearly white teeth because she’s an actress, Hannah. 😉
-- you saw in the comments section that Timmy was supposed to be younger but the studio couldn’t stomach the idea of killing a kid that brutally. Interestingly enough, we had to drop the plate of glass twice. The first time the wooden dowels that we’re keeping the dummy upright didn’t break, leaving his legs standing. It was ridiculous. The second drop was much more successful after we scored the dowels.

Yet another movie that traumatized a whole generation, this time about traffic on highways. Honestly might be the strongest opening of this series.
This franchise affected me when I was younger but in a low key way lol like I thought about what shirt I was gonna wear just in case I later ate a hot dog and got ketchup and mustard on it
It’s made me more aware on the highway for sure😂 better than any safety video I watched during drivers Ed
A few people walked out during it. That's when I knew that Highway scene was a masterpiece. 😂
Yea hands down Final Destination 2 is the best one and scarred every single person forever that has seen this movie

Nailed it. Literally the entire generation of American (probably non-American too!) millennials are terrified of driving behind trucks with logs, metal pipes, etc because of this exact scene. Literally the entire generation. 🤣
Yep, Englishman here. I absolutely cannot sit behind logging trucks or anything of the like without feeling anxious because of this movie. Heck even a van with a ladder strapped to the top spikes my anxiety lmao.
I was in a travel bus once that had a log come trough the window at night on a dark bit of roadway. Not fun! 😰😰

This, all day. We were just driving down the hill behind two pickup trucks full of logs just loosely piled in the bed and all I could think about was how one could just fall out and bounce off the road into our windshield and kill us. I immediately passed them when we reached the passing lane (on a winding narrow road) just because I felt like it was a sure thing that a log was going to roll out and bounce in the road. This movie planted those fear seeds.
Fun Fact: That car crash scene was almost entirely practical. The main use of CGI was for the logs because the real ones didn't give enough bounce, the other was adding the cops face in post and removing the wires for Eugene's bike stunt. All the cars were driven, flipped and crashed by stunt drivers. That's the part of what makes this movie my favorite of the "Final Destination" franchise.
Also, 20 years later and there's still an entire generation of people who won't drive behind log trucks because of this movie. I think of this movie everytime I see one!
I have a transparent shower curtain because of Psycho, so movies can influence ppl without being aware, I’m a textbook example 😁
For me it's metal beams or steal bars....even tho they have it wrapped up I don't wanna risk getting speared 😭

To be fair, in the scene the logs bounce higher than the height they originally fall from, so no material would have that much bounce
I think that made the accient more realistic, and thats why it scare us, not that a plane dosent scare us is that accidents are there every day. Plane crashed not so much,
The ladder death is actually the most accurate death of the whole series. For the 22th anniversary some injury law firm did a study and found that 4,000 people have died that exact way

That's very true most ppl have no idea how easy it is to go thru somebody skull thru the eye socket. A ladder that size is heavy enough to crush and entire skull from 1 foot high
Apparently, the character Tim was originally nine but New Line Cinema didn't like the idea of showing a little kid getting crushed by a large sheet of glass so he was made fifteen instead which does make it weird having a fifteen year old chase the pigeons instead of a nine year old.

This movie is anxiety inducing. A month after I saw this movie I was hanging out with some friends drinking. Some of us were riding in the truck bed, when I started noticing things. First I saw a car with a wobbly wheel. Then I looked over, and the guy driving next to us was drinking a beer. Then I looked up and saw a billboard that said "Accidents?" I was convinced we we're all going to die.
yeah, I'm pretty sure I also doing anything super wrong for the rest of the day after watching this movie in the afternoon.

The Final Destination films are all so enjoyable, I think you're in for a fun experience overall. The creative kills are the star of the show no doubt. Also, can I just say, this reaction has probably the all time best Hannah expressions. I think some gifs have just been born lol

This is one of the best ones out of the franchise. The high way scene is still very traumatizing to me still after 20 years. Lol I hate the freeway and I always think of final destination 2. I remember going to see it in theatres at the age of 15

I think you would enjoy reacting to John Q (2002) staring Denzel Washington, if you have not seen it already. A powerful underrated movie that shows how the love of a parent knows no law.

What’s funny is I believe most people already side eyed trucks carrying things like logs anyway and we got through it saying it’s just in our head. Then Hollywood put our shared subconscious fear on screen and that’s a wrap. 😂
The news footage of the crash in the beginning was sold to this movie by a helicopter news pilot from my hometown in Tennessee. People were not happy about it bc it was footage of a pile up where a lot of people died

Yes please continue with the Final Destination series! 3 and 5 are good, the 4th one is the worst out of all of them. Also how about reactions to Terrifier and Terrifier 2? Those movies have the most gruesome, violent, and disturbing deaths I've seen in a horror movie, EVER. No neck Hannah and no neck Ash will definitely be there for those films. React to them, if you dare!

Oh Lord... I think Terrifier2 especially would just about finish Hannah off. I'm 53 and I've been watching horror films since the first Alien movie came out and I saw it on pirate video, and Terrifier 2 made me want to vomit at least twice. I thought I was immune to most things, after all these years of being a massive horror movie fan, but apparently not lol.

This is the best Final Destination for sure! In the first, you saw the events building to each kill - in this, you see things building up- but then they die in a completely different, unexpected way: it's like Death puts back-up plans in on each one!!

This movie literally has me avoiding trucks on the highway with logs on them for years now.

Clear was always meant to die in an explosion. She disembarked Flight 180, which exploded. Alex intervened to free her from the trapped car about to explode. And then Death finally got her in the hospital explosion.
I’m a truck driver and even I won’t drive behind a logging truck because of this movie 😂 I was driving a couple weeks ago with a logging truck in the middle lane and there was like 12 cars in the left and right lanes and NO ONE behind the truck hahaha

The tension during the highway scene is so well done. The signs plus not knowing when it's all gonna happen. Good sequel. And I loved that Clear returns for this one.

I was with my mom on the highway when a logging truck pulled infront of us. I asked her to kind of hang back a bit, just give him a nice bout of space. She asked me why and I kid you not I flat out told her "because i've seen Final Destination 2!"
The scene with the glass falling haunted me for years and somehow led me to work in this industry. Now I tell everyone everytime to follow the safety rules and never try to catch a falling glass. It will just crush you. We had deadly accidents in the past. Gladly it was before my time.

I've always thought that the reason all the kills in the "Final Destination" film series are so gruesome is because Death has to make sure the intended victim doesn't have a way to survive along with no chance of the intended target being revived. All the traps tend to be foolproof with the victim having no possible avenue of escape. The one chance of survival only comes when someone acts as an outside force, and intervenes on behalf of the target.
"Final Destination 2" is a great continuation of this movie's story. "Final Destination 3" acts as a good, solid, standalone story. The fourth film in the series, "The Final Destination" is the only time they ever drop the ball, but it's still worth a look. "Final Destination 5", the last film in the series, does a good job of redeeming the franchise from the previous movie. It has an awesome, opening, credits sequence that serves as a call back to the previous entries as well as bringing a fitting end to the everything.
Final Destination 2 raised and at the same time, traumatized an entire generation of kids, which included me. In fact, I remember being 9 years-old when I saw the movie with my family even, if you do not believe me. Therefore, you must imagine how terrified I was, while seeing this film haha.
Y'all be cracking me up with your commentary and reactions. I can't wait for you guys to react to FD3. It's definitely a fan favorite, and the death scenes are the most brutal of all the franchises.

I never stay behind a truck with pipes, logs, or anything like that anymore. I gun it and get way in front now. Hate elevators, too. For one reason...THIS MOVIE! The first one was good, but this one left a permanent scar on the way me and my wife drive. Great reaction as always.

I've seen a lot of different final destination reactors and every single time they shout out craig perry because
he comments on them! Still does to this day, The raggady pack is a new reaction channel and boom he still commented, the channel "you me and the movies" shout him out as the greatest producer in the cards with an arrow because he commented on their previous reactions before they watched FD3 , and there are 2 more i've watched, the most obvious shout out is a channel i forgot the name of, but after watching your reaction, i was like omg He did it again lol
This movie is the reason why I will never travel behind a logging truck. Also in the third movie the roller coaster is based on a roller coaster that I went on shortly after that movie. And the hand rails moved. I hung on for dear life.

I been having fear of driving behind a truck carrying logs, pipes, or anything that can fall off. This is why! I always pass them, just did the other day and I told my kid why I won’t drive behind them.

During the opening scene premonition, the black semi truck that crashes into the main girls car had a subtle nod to death as the grim reaper. A sideways piece of metal was wedged into the grill and looked like the reaper's scythe.
The ocular bone is about as thin as an eggshell. Labotamies used to be done with a think ice pick shaped tool and small hammer. So I can imagine that a minimal 30lbs steel ladder dropping perfectly on end, could probably jam through like a spear with good form
