As you say, the hobby isn't dying, it's changing. Sure, traditional clubs are in decline (but far from dead), but "virtual" clubs are thriving: just look at the viewing figures for channels such as Sam's Trains, Jenny Kirk & Chadwick. There is more choice than ever before in both the new & used markets, and the sharing of knowledge is unprecedented.
Colin, much activity there with some excellent weathering - Well Done! 👍 So nice to see passengers on platforms and trackside staff along with much other 'small' detail so often neglected by modellers - regards Colin. 🙂
Finally, I managed to get round to watching this with my grandson. It's an enjoyable video. You've created some nice scenes, and the engine hoist looks great. You talk about the state of the hobby, and I agree with you. If you haven't seen the Railway Modellers Club AAP, take a look at it, it's free and run by Scale Model Scenery and is a great community. There's some great modelling to be seen on there. Im sure the guy's and girls on there would love to see your layout.
