    All that being said, not all of the rebuilds I did were Polaris’ fault. I live in the interior of Alaska, so when the snow starts melting and it’s warm enough to go outside, we play. Lost a motor due to a couple snorkel failures/tests, an idiotic river “crossing”, broken motor mount (from towing receiver hitting a rock somewhat violently), and another from losing a valve cover bolt. Not having a low oil shut off kills me inside a little. I ended up getting a hi-lifter snorkel and no problems on that end of the spectrum since.

    All in all, great machine, I put it through a certain kind of hell that most machines don’t even have in their nightmares. Motor rebuild is surprisingly cheap, and easily done in a day if you’ve got what you need on hand. This winter I’ll get another motor in it and come springtime we’ll see what kind of shenanigans it’ll get me into! Great video, have fun and ride safe!

    Build your own skid plate, buy a full 4x8ft sheet of 1/4inch polycarbonate and cut to size and mount with a couple U bolts. A full sheet is around $300 and it is really tuff.

      Great suggestion. I’ve since purchased one that was custom fit and had it installed when I had all the plastic stuff repaired. I didn’t even think about a DIY option. Thanks for sharing I’m sure this will help others.

      Awesome! Check to make sure the skid plate covers the entire bottom in terms of width... Mine only covered the middle drive train. I am about to go pick mine up from Polaris having just spent about $3000 to repair all of the broken plastic and adding a skid plate with another $2000 in maintenance and repairs. Should be about like new when I do get it. That skid plate is key. If its not the full bottom that you have check out this link, this is the one I just had installed. 570 is extremely capable. We rode St Helen trails in June, my buddy’s mid size ranger 570 carried 6 people at speed no problem, very good suspension too. The displacement is misleading

      Thank Eric! Happy to provide any insight I have if you have questions. It's been a good machine and like I mentioned we use it pretty hard... that said the stuff coming through the floors has not been under any misuse or excessive use case, just riding a trail that has some broken limbs laying in it. Good luck on your purchase. We just ran a small poll on our community page that shows the mix of our viewers and their brands... ruclips.net/user/postUgwr0F8t-CByXOLN2gd4AaABCQ

    I’ve got a 2020 premium model with the eps and it’s fantastic, definitely a game changer! Along with your skid plate issues I’ve had issues with the intakes being just above knee level. With a 2”lift, larger tires(28s I think) and spacers, it was less than 150miles before I blew the engine. Summer 2021 it went through 5-6 engine rebuilds and I’d be surprised if it’s got 1k miles..

    Great review. I was on the fence regarding this machine. The price is outstanding. Would you recommend this machine (not the 4 seater but the 3 seater) to use on a trapline in Northern Ontario. It would be used daily up until there would be too much snow. I do not abuse my equipment and is always well maintained. I just cannot justify a 20,000 price tag from other manufacturers. I know the new 570 had a bigger stator and more accessories available. Other gripe from other comments was the gear shifter. How has yours held up. Thanks

    I drove my 2016 polaris crew at 45mph and unbuckled the drivers seat belt. After a minute it made a horrible noise and seemed to lock up the transmission. What is wrong?

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  Год назад

      There is a safety switch in the seatbelt system that limits the speed while it’s unbuckled. Not sure what would have broke does it still run? Mine only goes like 15 without being buckled.

    We are looking into ordering the 570 for our family of 4. Someone told me the 570 is underpowered and cant haul 4 adults and you NEED the 1000cc. Any truth to this? Shoot, our golf cart carried 4 people with no issues, I can't see how this machine would "bog down". Thanks!

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  Год назад +1

      I wouldn’t give any creedance to that statement at all. Josh had a 570 crew and a review on it. We go to the lake down in TN and the people down there have a 570 crew. We put 8 adults, coolers and all of our boat gear on the 570 to drive down to the lake and back. It’s a huge hill and that 570 carries the load no problem.
      Lots of people get hung up in ccs. Most people over purchase so they can say they have 1000 or whatever. Not once have I regretted buying a 570. Jason
