Those who have been to turkey years ago it used to be mega cheap for food and drink but it’s getting to the point where you have to go all inclusive and go out the odd time for a meal and drink
Nice one Ian! Covering the prices. Very good value for money, but how much are the "locals" paying. It seems the vendors and traders charging tourists way above inflated prices.
Honestly the town doesn't sound great a lot of the hotels purposely don't offer fridges or kitchens but may let you rent a fridge which shouldn't be happening they want you to constantly pay money at the hotels but because we need a fridge to keep water cold it's like giving us no choice that's a shambles. They won't let people take food and drink including water into the hotels too but because a lot of hotels can't afford to provide proper service or food and haven't been able to for the last 8 years at least they can't keep offering the breakfast or half board packages. But they still do because they know people don't investigate properly. The rooms in the hotels aren't adequate either if not many hotels don't even have rooms with 2 bedrooms they either want 4 people to sleep in the 1 room or book 2 rooms and i don't know if that counts in any holiday packages. Many hotels are smaller than the ones in marmaris. If you can afford it your best option is to rent a flat or apartment so you'll have all facilities provided for you and not prevented from buying your own food.
My dad just booked cyprus that's a bit better and still have fridges i hope because that's what it says but it's the same thing with the rooms now there too, smaller rooms sharing one room with 3 people, or two rooms between 4 or 5 people three in one room and two in another. They're always nicer rooms in cyprus too so you might consider booking there instead but with no kitchen you'll still have to keep paying for breakfast and coffee. At least with a fridge you can get some milk, cereal, and fruit but i think you'll have to be extra careful they don't see you with it if they care more because i'm reading some hotels in cyprus are already stopping people bringing food and drink into the hotel but so far i don't think too many still care but never know.
Another great video ian we fly out tommorow cant wait still some decent prices, its the place and the people that draw us back every year love the place and the people 😁.
Be very careful love make sure you've properly checked the hotel because they say you're going into a "family room" but they're actually just 1 big room that they expect 4 people to fit into and the rooms only have mini fridges with water and snacks in you have to pay for. The rooms may not even have a kitchen that's what i've seen so far with the hotels and i've looked at another two hotels and same thing mini fridges only despite having a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. If anyone in your family needs to store medication in the fridge it's a problem.
Do you feel that’s exspensive though ? Yea they have gone up but so has everywhere in the world ? Going to Belek soon with family. Turkeys inflation has gone crazy so don’t think it’s rip off prices just a reflection of economy. Conversely UK is getting more lira for pound.
Alcohol Prices in hisaronu are nearly double price than Calais totally unacceptable the tourist is getting shafted left right and centre that’s why tourists numbers are well down this year u shud go to the nightclubs and get there prices totally unacceptable tourism in Turkey is finished bud shame as greed was there downfall
