It's weird for someone who has lived in the US for over fifteen years, and worked there and internationally (where usually, the common language will be English) much longer, not to be more fluent. If you believe the support for Trump is solely based on personality and popularity, then I think YOU are the one who´s naive. I´d go as far as saying that Trump is so successful DESPITE his personality. He´s the exact opposite of a nice guy, he´s not especially attractive, he (the bold, over-confident millionaire) embodies everything that the people who support him the most would normally hate, yet they don´t. And the reason for that is policy and substance in his political stance. Ask Trump supporters - most of them have many valid points for supporting him. As I've said in a reply to a previous comment - "You can't fake good"? This from the country that has the biggest film industry, where we are moved to tears or terror by acting yet you say "You can't fake good"?! She read a speech which she didn't write & nothing could persuade me that she did. No politician, their spouse or staff make speeches to camera that weren't written, edited & rewritten dozens of times. So she read it with sincerity meaning her acting has got better. As another commenter said, she's been working hard at refining her public speaking. Fake it 'til you make it isn't a saying for nothing. All the classy lady/bless her heart/she did good comments only show the naïveté of some of the people who support Trump, who take personality over policy (a bizarre concept here in the U.K.) & popularity over substance. The Trump campaign is akin to the Wizard of Oz, bells and whistles and dire warnings from an overconfident narcissist who will be proven to have no guts & no glory when the curtain is drawn back. If you believe the support for Trump is solely based on personality and popularity, then I think YOU are the one who´s naive. I´d go as far as saying that Trump is so successful DESPITE his personality. He´s the exact opposite of a nice guy, he´s not especially attractive, he (the bold, over-confident millionaire) embodies everything that the people who support him the most would normally hate, yet they don´t. And the reason for that is policy and substance in his political stance. Ask Trump supporters - most of them have many valid points for supporting him. (Something that cannot be said about Hillary supporters). And whether Trump´s campaign is all fake? I cannot prove it isn´t but there are two very strong arguments suggesting he´s real: he´s self-funding to a large extent, and he didn´t have to do it (he already had it all, and his life would undoubtedly had been more pleasant if he hadn´t).
