You'd effectively have guns that shoot the equivalent of nukes by throwing away your garbage
Pretty sure only moving into another Solar System's Gravity well would suffice for this to become a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Just hurl a planet into its sun by gently swooping past it.
it would only have the gravity of say a super jupiter as the star gravity is nulliedfied by the force field
Wernher von Kerman it should really just suck a planet into the container star to destroy it instead of using a laser
@@Tonatsi but that might damage the ship since the craft dosent collapse i assume the forcefield compressing the star nullifies its gravity though all the planets moons and steel would still give it enough gravity to rip moons from orbit and crumble planets if they get close enough
Wilma Perkins nothing actually indicates that the star’s gravity has been suppresssed
@@Tonatsi the discreption says they compress it within a force field to make it about even with the planets in size and that they use the same technology of a another megastructure from the mod to do it the fusion supression where nullifies a star gravity by generating there own gravity compacting it on itself though they only compress in the system craft to stage 3 as 4 would make it a neutron star or a blackhole of course this means theorically if you found a way to shut down the forcefield or destory only the dishes around the star to the point of failure the star would return to its orginal size and destory the ship

It’s less about hitting the thing and more about knowing where to hit on the solar system sized target.
@@Someone-wj1lf Thinking again, I doubt these space gramp even think that far in battle.
Put the context in: They are decadent for thousands of years at minimum. Even if they are venerable, robust, and have tons of life-extending tech, that is still a huge amount of time.
So, how many people alive on their empire even participated in a real interstellar conflict? Sure they might do simulated battle, but that is merely "all theory, no real experience". I doubt they can even make full use of their ships.
So, what we have is a hopelessly incompetence crews pilotting a ships so old that they have no idea how it function, how it can be controlled, and what it can do. 79% hit rate is thank to the tech on the ships, if we leave it for the crews we might get 0 hit.
