The lord came to me in a dream and told me "better are the things that are on my side than the things that are on your side" and i knew he was talking about my video games because i would put it 1st over him. So a few days later i had a burning desire to get rid of all my video games because i felt like the lord was telling me "its either me or video games" so i threw away all of my consoles without hesitation. I had a PS5, PS4 and 2 nintendo switches. Dont get me wrong i will always cherish all of those memories of playing video games but lets be honest, there's nothing more fun than serving the lord.
"Maybe blowing peoples heads off is not super Biblical" That killed me 🤣🤣 You're a funny guy Isaiah. Im glad you touched on this subject because Ive been saying forever that we need to treat games the exact same way we treat books, movies, music, and television. Its all entertainment lets be smart, and not get addicted to it
Truthful there this game called yugioh. It a card game frankly I'll say it all about messing with you opponent's head. I'll admit I love but the card art😭😭😭(so devilish) When you google where do these cards originates, you'll find most of them are representation of the norse gods
As much as it hurts because it was all I knew it’s a big no for me now. I used to idolize games and characters and even after I finished playing the games I would fantasize about it for hours and hours on end. Secular entertainment in general has kept me from having a relationship from God my entire life and now I’m barely starting to turn away from those things thanks to God. I used to play video games for a minimum of 5 hours everyday and Somedays I would play up to 15 hours or more it was controlling my life. I would hardly leave my room and it kept my isolated even now it hurts that I don’t play games but I know it’s for the better because God has a better plan for me.
Exactly bro we shouldn't idolize anything over God whether activities, people, things. And through the word of God we can discern which one we shouldn't be involved in as Children. MORE GRACE TO ANYONE READING THIS. I Love you all and wanna see you in Heaven. Am from Cameroon
I feel that... if it's an addiction or a distraction then get rid of it. Growing up i used to be addicted to video games, when i gave my life back to Christ at the start of the year i barely play my ps5 i now only get on for an hour or so to talk to with my family i barely see, play a little bit then jump off. It has no intrest for me anymore like it used to.
I have a testimony on that. When I got saved I had my Xbox one. Then I started to get convicted as I was cursing and shouting. Also I felt like it was a waste of time and led me to other sins. Even when I tried kids game I was seeing the occult and worldly ideologies. At one point I couldnt even stand to play video games. Jesus and the disciples wouldnt have played violents game or games that involve witchcraft and even if they played like NBA or Fifa they wouldve played quick games not whole days. Long story short my xbox ended up broken on the ground.
Amen praise the Lord brother. I recently just sold my Ps5 left behind a lot of friends, but I definitely believe that God is not a fan of games especially since most games glorify sin in so many ways the game industry is Satans industry. Another thing I've noticed as well is a lot of games have been introducing witchcraft which is definitely a no no
I used to be a really big gamer. My whole life, even into adulthood. I have video game tattoos. Art books, you name it. God has brought me through a lot of deliverance and has shown me that video games is rooted in a spirit of fantasy and arrested development. It can also be a part of the mind control spirits as a whole. It works to occupy your thoughts and eliminate time to work on things the Lord has called you to work on. Also your working on your family. I gave it up bc I saw the chains on my mind from it. It’s a time stealer as well.
You are totally insane and spewing some conspiracy theory bs with the mind control but it's understandable if your imaginary friend told you games are bad
Brother it really is taking a toll on me. I've been playing video games since idk 12 and I'm now 21. I need to stop and develop my career and be competent. But It has this grip on me and I can't seem to let it go. I need deliverance, please pray for me brothers and sisters
In February I bought a brand new ps5 and a switch. A few weeks later I started to get serious about God and they have been sitting there for months. I didn’t feel convicted while playing them, it was just that spending time with God was more appealing and more fulfilling .but now I feel like God wants me to get rid of it all because I should’ve gave Him all that money to begin with. Idk if it’s Him or just me but I don’t want to risk being disobedient
I sold my game consoles, deleted my accounts, and kicked in my computer. I thought I was crazy or doing something wrong though. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the encouragement.
Indeed, it would be beneficial to refrain from imposing our personal beliefs onto others. God is a relational entity. If I am able to engage in video games while maintaining self-control and harboring the love of God in my heart, no one should interfere with my personal connection with God. The concept of projecting one's convictions onto others is precisely why I astutely remarked, "givr it to me." It is possible that there may be some issues with me as well. However, since adopting this perspective, I have come to realize that it is merely the internet. I believed it was an appropriate response. Evidently, I should have provided further clarification in my response. I trust this has been helpful. God bless 🙌 keep it kingdom 🙏
I recommend you set a timer for 1 hour when you start playing a game then after the hour is up do something else like workout, go outside for a walk, pray! Read the bible then whenever ur gonna play again put a 1 hour timer again
Back in the day I played every day. Now that I’m married, I cut the games way down. Now I play on weekends, mostly Friday nights. Some games I don’t touch. I don’t want to touch them. I try to use wisdom and discernment.
For me, it really depends. I wouldn’t say playing video games in of itself is wrong. But be careful of the kind of content you allow yourself to be indulging in and how much money and time is being spent too.
Idk it's about the same as any other hobby. Like some sports require way more money n time. archery for example is expensive n has no real value other than being cool. I play to keep myself smart. its weird that we want to play them like we're made in the image of God so it's natural to want to be in a man made heaven n earth if you will. That's what makes interesting to me.
My thoughts it's no for me lol I already spent 15k used to play wow, Minecraft, lol, dota, had to delete all my accounts cuz I couldn't stop. So far my mission is to expose games and the industry. Used to play vr too and watch prn on it recently... God delivered me from it the 4th of july
@@isaiahsaldivarclipsbtw sorry for being upset at you playing that christian game lol I felt u were hypocrite but u didn't do nothing wrong. Sorry man I think I even posted something saying how upset I was.. that was wrong.
@@Kai-um5kp chosen the way of pain? yeah? well I already have some fingers cut off because I used to do witchraft Santeria.. but I am trying to understand what you are saying. Idk if you read op but I walked away from all of it... and your sentence pretty much puts witchcraft and angels in 1 sentence in 1 job... please don't mix them together lol
My opinion before watching the video is it depends. What is more important is what games are being played. How much time is being spent. And how often are you playing. Is gaming priority or is God priority……. Now let me watch the video to see what God has to say🙌🏼
My husband was strongly convicted of his video game addiction last year and ended up smashing his childhood console in obedience to the Lord. We started to pursue our calling in ministry and a few months ago he decided to purchase a new console in an attempt to evangelize and share his testimony on games. He started out doing that but now he just blows off zombies heads with the boys and will stay on for hours. It breaks my heart but he says its not a problem. Please pray for his deliverance and the truth to be revealed to him about what he's doing so we can get back on track with the beautiful calling God has for us.🙏
While i wont outright get rid of my stuff, i do think its time to step away from It for a while. Turn it off, unplug it, store it in a box for a while and purify myself.
Addiction = idolatry. If you're addicted, get rid of it. If you're addicted you won't want to get rid of it. Don't give all your time and worship to a video game.
*Some game titles I think are okay and fun to play:* The Talos Principle (2) (also my favorite puzzler btw) Professor Layton games Stardew Valley Most tower defense games, preferably alike the Bloons TD games where you pop balloons. Almost any city builder, like City Skylines 2 (just make sure you don't destroy the world) Many of the simulator games (although, make sure to not make it seem like your actual job and play it like 8 hours a day)
Any fantasy universe or magic promoting stuff is something to avoid for Christians because we're to do everything for God's glory and all these magic fantasy worlds are under the Enemy's power since they run on magic. I'd be careful with even realistic fictional universes. Ultimately what the whole game or thing is promoting is what matters
I'm a Christian I play games I do get convictions for long periods of time. The fruits of the spirit is temperance and self control if you know you don't have self control over it turn it off.
I was just thinking about asking you about this! The key to life is balance. So maintain the balance between faith, life and entertainment. Thats my opinion though
PLASM 101 Says: I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing. 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
I used to be addicted to fortnight and Minecraft, so I don’t play anymore, but I have games on my phone that I need to use self control with, it’s good practice
A personal experience. I've played some of the darkest games out there, like Silent Hill and Dead Space, with no problems. But there was this one game, called The Darkness 2. It was extremely violent though the graphics were a bit cartoonish. The story was about a man that get possessed by a spirit which manifests as two black dragon heads popping out of his back and makes him do all sorts of horrible things. I even finished the whole game once. A few months later I started to replay it. I started getting this weird feeling when I was playing it, like something was wrong. During that time I was also very angry all the time. The feeling I had went on until I finally got rid of that particular game.
I love how you used World of Warcraft for the photo. I was addicted to that game for 14 years and wasted over $80,000 playing that game. What was once an addiction made it to where I had no self control in my finances and was stuck in a loop of debt and I never could buy a house once I was an adult. The enemy makes sin fun and I "loved" the game and spent more time online than with God. Do not be deceived by these companies that take all your time and money!!
I use to be a game head and i love the guidance you are teaching, i play but not like i use to , i dont spend hours ,the most is about an hour, i find it now i get bored quickly when playing video games it qasnt like that before , but i know is God work in me , moderation and limitation on anything is what God wants us all do to, and always ,always give Him tome first than anytthing else .
I just decided today to sell my Xbox and quit because i was the 12 Hour person , it was becoming a distraction for sure and I knew that so I made the decision today was the day
Now I think I’m broken because everyone can easily give up video games. I thought that they could possibly be a blessing from God as a source of entertainment and enjoyment as long as I thanked him for it, but I don’t k ow anymore.
I think it depends on your conviction and if it aligns with Gods word. I would suggest not playing games that are violent, anything that has something to do with witchcraft false gods, demonic, ect, if they promote sin like lust, anger, if they cause you to stumble as well. I sadly had to give up sonic games cuz i would idolize them as a kid and amy reads tarot cards which is a bug no no for me
@@Riannalynn123sorry but I can play zombies and not feel the need or want to sin. The want and need to sin just comes from human nature. It’s fake and just a game to me. I’m fully capable of separating it from real life. Idk how so many people are so weak minded they can’t do that
Im an Artist i mostly build in Creative mode in Minecraft as a source of entertainment i look at it as an Art form more then a game its a gift from God that I can build Architecture and cathedrals, Castles im so grateful to be an Artist
Use to be into gaming for 12 years until God gave me a dream warning they are wrong. I broke all my games and consoles (expect Xbox bc I use it for RUclips) and the next day I had another dream of this ticked off dragon that wanted to kill me 😂 God is good. When you do God's will the devil is going to be angry at you. After this God gifted me with several talents and although not all games are evil the majority of them are because they glorify witchcraft, violence, gore, etc. Be ye separated from the world and touch not the unclean thing and God will receive you. God bless you.
lol i love this man , super funny too , i have been a gamer all my life , kinda hard to let go but when you start seeing how everyday is spiritual warefare , you start to see how even video games can put you on the other side , the bad side , because in the spirit there are no grey areas
Honestly, I believe you should not be entertaining yourself or participating in anything that you wouldn't do in real life. If we are entertaining ourselves with things and content that God hates, we are saying it's ok. We don't realize how much it actually affects our lives, our mental states and our walk with God. It's definitely a hard thing to navigate sometimes because media in all forms is very sneaky sometimes (that's how the enemy works). Sometimes it's not so obvious and that's where decrement and having a close relationship with the Holy Spirit is SO important. He will tell you if something is not right. Over the years there are many, many video games and forms of entertainment we have had to purge because God said "stop". Sometimes we didn't know why but looking back and as He revealed the content we realized there was stuff in them that was NOT ok. Sometimes things that were very subtle. And when you have kids it's even more important to protect what you're letting in to their lives and into their minds. And if you don't have kids yet, pray NOW for discernment cause I'm tellin ya it's hard when you have to make a family decision to purge things that your kids have grown so attached to. If you haven't seen Gate Zero yet, we just played the demo and even my kids are SO in love with it so far. So so so grateful for more Christian content coming out especially Christian video games that are genuinely really well done!
I don’t expect many to reply, but I’m a skeptic and a video game franchise named “Shin Megami Tensei” is actually a huge part of what peaked my interest in researching the gospels and getting genuinely interested in world religions and such. My favorite game is “Persona 3.” Which is part of a spinoff of Shin Megami Tensei. It has a lot to do with death, Jungian psychology, world religions, mythology, folklore, etc.
That's how I peaked into the faith myself, too! Although I am skeptical since my walk as a Christian has been serious the past few months when I used to play COD the black ops series and the remade COD MW3. Didn't know how conviction felt until I went through a few things and audible times he's told me NO to it. I have friends that live the secular life and wanted me to play ,but lately told them I needed to focus on God as Everytime life was bad, I would go to games instead of God. God's advised me not to play due to idolatry of it and that he doesn't want me killing other soldiers in a videogame despite not sinning in real life, but due to what wickedness was taking place in my heart. Been a major fan of old masterpieces like Golden eye 007, Perfect Dark, all Halo multiplayer, Star wars BF2 classic, Star wars The Force Unleashed. After my faith in God,In every game that involved hurting or murdering rebels and storm troopers in Star wars alike, hurting soldiers for points and kill streaks in COD, there was conviction. Especially when I told myself I would only play 2 hrs , in my hardship currently, 2 hrs would become 4 hrs, and 5 hrs. God convicted me to not play violent games involving murder. It takes a spirit to wanna involve oneself to those things. Now I dedicate time to him through prayer, talking to him, Bible reading/study and worship because he filled my void of what I was missing as a kid that I seeked in videogames, which was the love of my father and mother. Nowadays I use my Xbox ONE to look at Christian content on RUclips, limit my time on political debates on the whatever podcast here and there, look up songs to play on my guitar (been having more desires of playing worship songs like Daily Bread by Kari Jobe). Like Jesus has said in the new testament scripture, "You may have heard, you shall not kill; but I tell you: any man that hates his brother has already committed murder against him in his heart." It's a matter of what your heart participates in when it comes to these things.
I don’t really play video games but I feel like as long it’s not consuming the majority of your time and it doesn’t have inappropriate content like maybe fifa or car games are cool
It’s all about moderation and listening to the spirit on what and when. Mario is definitely fine and dandy, but sometimes it’s best to lay it aside or give it to God cause like, idolatry and stuff
The hard part is our children & how rampid the addiction is to the game and screens for them. My kids have game time every night for a few hours. My daughter plays th innocent stuff like Roblox or adopt me where it's trading pets. My son plays the shooting games which I am not a fan of but it's difficult once you've opened that door. He will be 17 in Oct so at this point I vocalize how I feel about it. Then I pray that the Lord will bring about the conviction or direction he needs. I cannot be his Holy Spirit but I can pray for him.
Don’t let ur daughter play Animal Jam! Yes it’s fun and the animals are adorable but it’s really evil and the concerning part it’s geared towards children. This game and its developers keep bringing in demonic items into the game. Example Which board, Tarot cards, Mysterious orb, mysterious table and the latest a “Wishing Coin” and also not to mention they let the players make anything that’s demonic that includes artwork and some of the outfits are straight up demonic
I saw a lot of people making fun of gamers in the live chat like WHOA there "Christian" . When you are too religious you can't be creative with spreading the gospel. Have you ever at anytime think about how, idk, these people are souls at the other end of the mic!? Why not spread the Gospel in said game??? (some games we need to stay away from, horror, witchcraft, graphic etc) but to shun them without thinking about turning it into a tool for those lost souls in there? now THAT'S childish. Matthew 5:14-15 “You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 1 Corinthians 9:22 When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. Build rapport with your fellow gamers and bring them the good news BUT if gaming makes you stumble making you angry, cussin, lusting (some of these female skins are dumb) if it makes you walk in the flesh and you also don't spread the gospel outside the game then there is a problem. The gaming community is very dark and lost be the light in the darkness not the religious "Christian".
I play that VR game you were describing and its called Blade and Sorcery. I only really play with a star wars mod. I fight clone troopers and sith people, with lightsabers because I'm a big star wars fan, should I stop playing it even if I'm playing as a star wars character and pretending I'm in star wars?
I agree. I definitely dont play games as much as I used to in High School. Maybe im getting old even though I'm 20 lol. They are fun if you don't go overboard.
Video games arent necessarily bad, but my mom was watching a video of a guy exposing roblox that after that, she's now preventing me from playing any video game whatsoever, so now she put a yoke on me, and I'm 18. What should I do; abide by her, or tell her she's going too extreme and giving into religious fear?
Amen. I was addicted to call of duty, until the latest one. Played story mode and santa muerte is in there smh. Deleted it. Now, I just stick to madden.
My thoughts on videogames is that you cannot serve two masters Jesus can offer you so much more than this temporary world can ! Reading the Word Of God should be your favorite "videogame" even if it's not one 😊 i hope you get what i mean
I am still a gamer, and would definitely confess that I'm addicted. When I am not seeing my son, I can spend most hours of the weekend just gaming....and that's bad lol. I would say though back in 2008 I bought Doom 3 and because of save game issues later in 2010 I just stopped playing coz it was so scary, and a few years later I gave it to my ex gf to play, and then a few years later she gave it back to me coz of the symbolism and stuff, and I gave it to another friend....don't know what he did with it lmao but that copy has been around. But I won't play games like that, or games like Outlast with the cross upside down. My big addiction with over 1300 hours of gameplay is Left 4 Dead 2 lol, so yes Isaiah, I am addicted to killing zombies....definitely need deliverance.
Hello pastor isiah,im just using my mom's phone,if its ok,can i ask, whats your thoughts on christian fantasy,is it ok for christians watch lotr, narnia, and write fantasy ,sci fi allegory,?Godbless you and us all,
Only if its an addiction just spend less time on it. I hope the christians that say that christians cant play video games ALSO say that christians cant watch shows or movies because there all no different then video games. There a source of entertainment
The problem is that with video games people tend to be more biased against it. Even though it can happen in all sorts of entertainment, however video games tend be be attacked more harshly for some reason. Some people love fishing, hunting, sports (to the point of knowing all the ins and outs of said sport), movies of different genres etc... but are not attacked as a person who enjoys video games. You see, I'm not into fishing, hunting, sports or being outdoors for 12 hours doing various activities, but I really love video games. Some would say " you could be doing something better with your time", but when I want to relax I'm not thinking of doing some kind of productive thing. As a teenager and up into my 20s I played heavily, but today I have many other responsibilities (I'm 44) married and have 2 kids I don't play for hours every single day. Sometimes I'm tormented by the thought that these things and many others can be "idols", and I don't want to be an idolater. I ask God to help me have balance and be able to enjoy something I truly enjoy in which case is video games. I got rid of my games in the past before completely but I really wanted to play games again and I did. I feel convicted at times yes, but I'm no longer addicted. So many things to say, I can write a book.
Is it okay to play games? As long as I’m not putting it first before God? Like I enjoy playing red dead redemption 2 but ik it has a lot of violence in it
Whsts your guys stances on 40k? I dont play games much. I focus most of my time on work, starting a business, and other professional endevours with God as Priority. But if we talk about content of a game, is it more conviction based?
I think I can speak on this pretty well. I was super into 40 before I was a christian and after for a while. I did the army building and painting. A few months ago I was getting ready to start building and painting again, but I got a really strong conviction about the franchise. It is very dark and not much is redeemable about it frankly and I recognized that. shortly after I threw away all of my 40k stuff (hundreds maybe thousands worth of plastic and paint) and uninstalled all the games I have. It was really hard and I did not want to, but Jesus is better bro. Just be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is saying, He will tell you what to do.
Anytime you ask “should Christians think/say/do/act/go/play” or whatever… just ask would Jesus think/say/do/act/go/play or whatever that you are asking about?
It's not what goes in. It's what comes out. Football and all these other things are littered with sinful acts too. Even believers in Jesus are not perfect in being sinless even when you avoid a lot of sin. Try your best not to sin but just remember you will never be sinless.
I’m into Minecraft right now but don’t like witch mob, brewing potions and the nether I’m kind of iffy about the enchantments but just focus on the mining part and building parts of it is that ok or should I just not play it
I’ve been waiting for you to do a video on should us Christain’s play video games cause as for me (I am 17 years old btw) I grew up as an Nintendo gamer and only played Nintendo games When I got older I would play hours on end and I should have used better of my time Now I play games once in a while and I play games for example like super smash bros ultimate, splatoon, and like Mario kart Like I said I just play games that are only kid friendly and I don’t see anything wrong with those games I listed as a an example So my point being I’m glad I’m not addicted to gaming and the content is not bad or evil Cause usually I feel convicted when I know something is not right and I don’t have the peace in me when I do feel convicted
I feel like ssbu is one you should get rid of because majority of the fighters have supernatural powers (bayonetta, fire emblem characters, pokemon) and don't even remind me of pyra/mythra, a game for kids, yet they add them. mario is a bit controversial for me
@@ChrystianSong I do see your point there of Mario being controversial but Isaiah has said in the video if it’s not an addiction or convicts you it is fine Even though there are some characters with supernatural powers I do not see anything demonic with it because it is a fighting game. NOW he did say when he play video games it should be the same as we view music or watching tv or movies I don’t watch tv or movies anymore And I haven’t listen to secular music in years But it takes time to work on yourself and do better for kingdom of glory for God To deny yourself and carry the cross
Bro I play games like dead island 2 which have very realistic gore and never once felt convicted. In fact I've played violent games my whole life. The thing is, the violence is fake, and it is not a sin to view violence, whether that violence is real or fake. If it was a sin, then reading the Bible would be a sin because there is a lot of violence in the Bible. So no, because it's not a sin to read the Bible, which has graphic content and sexual references, and it is real, then video games with violence and even sexual content aren't inherently bad to play. If you love video games more than God, then that is wrong. If video games make you frustrated when you lose, and you take the Lord's name in vain, that is wrong. If you feel lustful towards a sexualised character in the game, that is still adultery. But, viewing violence on the screen is not murder in your heart. Having hatred towards someone in real life is murder within your heart.
There’s plenty of games out there that are not about killing, zombies or whatever. It’s just that mass media loves to push the narrative that gaming is exclusively about violent content. That is absolutely incorrect. Just as in all things, exercise moderation, discretion and common sense when enjoying this art form.
I've quit gaming completely, and I believe there are many curses proclaimed over it, and it messes with the soul, just like wordly music,I read now instead.I anyways never felt great after achieving fake achievements and there is a scripture that says all things are lawful, but not all things are helpful and I won't be brought under the power of any,I don't even like movies knowing about Hollywood's shady business
I remember playing the newest Zelda game and was totally fine until I got to a part where there was this stone idol. I went up to it and pressed "a" and was prompted to "pray to the goddess". Instantly Holy Spirit was convicting me like "don't be a participant in idolatry". I get that people will say it's "not real", but would you say the same thing if the game designers required you to control your character to sexually assault someone? Yeah, I didn't think so.
I guess as long as you know it's bad to actually worship that stone than you're good. Pressing that button don't mean you actually worship it. Just have God first.
"He bought a new console in an attempt to evangelize and share his testimony with others?" That doesn't make any sense, why would he need a console to share his testimony about an addiction that he had? He needs to be honest with himself if he had a problem with it then he'll probably have a problem with it now. Ex drug addicts do not buy drugs and use the drugs to be able to share their testimony on how they got clean from drugs
When I didn't believe in really anything I started listening to music and growing up we never really had tv and I didn't care much for music so when I was around 13 my mom got me a TV and well I decided to give it a chance and lets just say I ended up watching horrible things and music and after about a week i realized I wasn't the same i acted horrible to my parents wanted to just hide from everyone I didn't understand why i acted like this so I kinda was thinking maybe god could help me but I didn't know witch was the real god so i did some research and found out god is the real path and i found out how watching bad music and tv shows about bad stuff can really effect your life ever since I have been a change person and a lot more carefully what I watch and listen too
Usually when a RUclips channel is a question about what is permissible for Christian the answer from the person makeing the video is a no or a yes with restrictions. On a side note growing up in the 80s when Nintendo came on the sceen for what ever reason my father was anti video games they were not allowed in the house. I was so mad at him growing up. In my early 20s i was so greatful that he was so strict so any parents watching your kids do servive if they are the only ones not doing something other kids are.
Can I not watch any princess movies with my kids either they have magic and etc, or talking animals or veggie tales or Toy Story? I’m confused…I’m so confused man and I’m so tired of learning and learning and learning…I’m so tired. And so scared I’ll be a bad mom, and my child will grow up not knowing how to have an imagination without being sinful. I’m so confused. And it takes two people and I have a boyfriend, it takes two people to agree to follow something, I wanna do the right thing and I want him to do the right thing and help lead me with Jesus. I wanna do what’s right. : ( I’m so scared, and I grew up playing video games and watching the walking dead and it’s just so upsetting and I’m not sure where to go especially knowing I have a boyfriend that I want to follow the Lord with me, I am not able to discern with him and study because he’s not able to be around right now currently in the army, working on getting out actually because of how bad it is in there. But when he gets out I pray that he can learn with me and sacrifice his flesh and each others flesh, I told him in text and idk if he will see it because I text him everyday even though he can’t see it much but I told him him “You said you wanted a woman who loved God more than you, and you have one and that means a woman who will deny her flesh and yours.” I hope that speaks to him, and that we can grow together because God keeps telling me comfort will come with whatever sacrifices are made to our flesh and entertainment that involve things he wouldn’t do. I mean if call of duty bad, it’s about war and protection and is just to see who wins ultimately, kinda like nerf battles especially Fortnite. I understand horror games and movies and Halloween and Santa not being okay, but I’m so confused with the rest and what’s okay and not especially when I think about protecting my future babies. I pray my boyfriend desires to protect and honor God as much as I want to despite the fact I don’t wanna sacrifice the stuff I love, we may feel we lost but God brings more then we lost just like Job. We’re made new and grow in Christ everyday, that’s why we have seasons of growth, we start way baby Christian’s then preteens then teens then adults and then elders in Christ.
That’s awesome

I think the real problem was that you were putting your games 1st instead of god
That's just natural. But God is forgiving. I don't always put him first. But I never forget him either
I've prayed to God about it. Never got an answer or conviction feeling, so I'm still playing games a lot.
"Maybe blowing peoples heads off is not super Biblical" That killed me 🤣🤣 You're a funny guy Isaiah.

The thing is people often don't realize they have an addiction until it is to far in
I have a testimony on that.
Abiding by your conviction is good 👍🏽
Amen praise the Lord brother. I recently just sold my Ps5 left behind a lot of friends, but I definitely believe that God is not a fan of games especially since most games glorify sin in so many ways the game industry is Satans industry.

In February I bought a brand new ps5 and a switch. A few weeks later I started to get serious about God and they have been sitting there for months.

Addiction = idolatry. If you're addicted, get rid of it. If you're addicted you won't want to get rid of it. Don't give all your time and worship to a video game.
I can be not addicted and still not want to get rid of it. It’s not that black and white.
@Tristanzabinski fair point. I do think people can play in moderation without getting addicted but it is a risk. You are right, though.

*Some game titles I think are okay and fun to play:*
The Talos Principle (2) (also my favorite puzzler btw)
Professor Layton games
Stardew Valley
Most tower defense games, preferably alike the Bloons TD games where you pop balloons.
Almost any city builder, like City Skylines 2 (just make sure you don't destroy the world)
Many of the simulator games (although, make sure to not make it seem like your actual job and play it like 8 hours a day)
Any fantasy universe or magic promoting stuff is something to avoid for Christians because we're to do everything for God's glory and all these magic fantasy worlds are under the Enemy's power since they run on magic.
I'd be careful with even realistic fictional universes.
Ultimately what the whole game or thing is promoting is what matters

I remember this one, I played it when I was younger, definitely wouldn't now
I felt somewhat similar with Darkness 2. I also had bad feelings about Resident Evil and Alan Wake.

What was once an addiction made it to where I had no self control in my finances and was stuck in a loop of debt and I never could buy a house once I was an adult.

On Gate Zero, time machines are occultic. God never lets people go back because what someone does at a moment is fixed.
Eyes are the windows to your soul. Only let in what makes your walk with God stronger not weaker.
👍🏽
same I LOVE FIFA

Matthew 5:14-15
“You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
1 Corinthians 9:22
When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ.
I hope the christians that say that christians cant play video games ALSO say that christians cant watch shows or movies because there all no different then video games. There a source of entertainment
It’s all the same
The problem is that with video games people tend to be more biased against it.

Try your best not to sin but just remember you will never be sinless.
Might as well just say no.
I’m into Minecraft right now but don’t like witch mob, brewing potions and the nether I’m kind of iffy about the enchantments but just focus on the mining part and building parts of it is that ok or should I just not play it
Bro that game is super 🔥🔥
I definitely need deliverence...
I’ve been waiting for you to do a video on should us Christain’s play video games cause as for me (I am 17 years old btw) I grew up as an Nintendo gamer and only played Nintendo games
When I got older I would play hours on end and I should have used better of my time
Now I play games once in a while and I play games for example like super smash bros ultimate, splatoon, and like Mario kart
Like I said I just play games that are only kid friendly and I don’t see anything wrong with those games I listed as a an example
So my point being I’m glad I’m not addicted to gaming and the content is not bad or evil
Cause usually I feel convicted when I know something is not right and I don’t have the peace in me when I do feel convicted
Amen
I feel like ssbu is one you should get rid of because majority of the fighters have supernatural powers (bayonetta, fire emblem characters, pokemon) and don't even remind me of pyra/mythra, a game for kids, yet they add them. mario is a bit controversial for me
@@ChrystianSong I do see your point there of Mario being controversial but Isaiah has said in the video if it’s not an addiction or convicts you it is fine
Even though there are some characters with supernatural powers I do not see anything demonic with it because it is a fighting game.
NOW he did say when he play video games it should be the same as we view music or watching tv or movies
I don’t watch tv or movies anymore
And I haven’t listen to secular music in years
But it takes time to work on yourself and do better for kingdom of glory for God
To deny yourself and carry the cross
I only really game on weekends ... but even then. I just find them kinda boring now.
Isaiah, i have a question. Is it in Gods will that we should play minecraft? Is it okay in general?
That’s between you and God
There’s plenty of games out there that are not about killing, zombies or whatever. It’s just that mass media loves to push the narrative that gaming is exclusively about violent content.
That is absolutely incorrect.
Just as in all things, exercise moderation, discretion and common sense when enjoying this art form.
What if I'm playing games like Need for speed or Gran Turismo?
what if game content interfere with our belief
How about final fantasy and similar games? Should a christian play those?
What do you think of Undertale?
"He bought a new console in an attempt to evangelize and share his testimony with others?"
That doesn't make any sense, why would he need a console to share his testimony about an addiction that he had? He needs to be honest with himself if he had a problem with it then he'll probably have a problem with it now. Ex drug addicts do not buy drugs and use the drugs to be able to share their testimony on how they got clean from drugs
When I didn't believe in really anything I started listening to music and growing up we never really had tv and I didn't care much for music so when I was around 13 my mom got me a TV and well I decided to give it a chance and lets just say I ended up watching horrible things and music and after about a week i realized I wasn't the same i acted horrible to my parents wanted to just hide from everyone I didn't understand why i acted like this so I kinda was thinking maybe god could help me but I didn't know witch was the real god so i did some research and found out god is the real path and i found out how watching bad music and tv shows about bad stuff can really effect your life ever since I have been a change person and a lot more carefully what I watch and listen too
Can i make games as a christian , because I'm a game developer and a christian
Not by might but through prayer we can pull down the strongholds of the devil to set free our children from these wicket games. 😊
Or just not let them play them lol
Man its just new technology chill
Just like iphones sns tvshows etc. Nothing new in concept just reinacting thoughts in a vivid way.
👏🏽❤️🔥🔥💯
Amen
Usually when a RUclips channel is a question about what is permissible for Christian the answer from the person makeing the video is a no or a yes with restrictions. On a side note growing up in the 80s when Nintendo came on the sceen for what ever reason my father was anti video games they were not allowed in the house. I was so mad at him growing up. In my early 20s i was so greatful that he was so strict so any parents watching your kids do servive if they are the only ones not doing something other kids are.
🤔🤔
Can I not watch any princess movies with my kids either they have magic and etc, or talking animals or veggie tales or Toy Story? I’m confused…I’m so confused man and I’m so tired of learning and learning and learning…I’m so tired. And so scared I’ll be a bad mom, and my child will grow up not knowing how to have an imagination without being sinful. I’m so confused. And it takes two people and I have a boyfriend, it takes two people to agree to follow something, I wanna do the right thing and I want him to do the right thing and help lead me with Jesus.
I wanna do what’s right. : (
I’m so scared, and I grew up playing video games and watching the walking dead and it’s just so upsetting and I’m not sure where to go especially knowing I have a boyfriend that I want to follow the Lord with me, I am not able to discern with him and study because he’s not able to be around right now currently in the army, working on getting out actually because of how bad it is in there.
I play at night but during the day I want to play but I don’t. Is that a addiction ?
Only you know
Am i still allowed to play mario kart?
