Hi Justin, I have that saw and I promise you will NOT be disappointed. Now, just a heads up, next blade change, simply pull the saw forward and the guide rails will not be in the way. Enjoy, as I have been a Makita Miter Saw owner for 42 years.

cuts as smooth as butter .. dust extraction is minor gripe especially on softwood..
It’s a great saw for sure. I have found the dust extraction to be a slight gripe as well
@@justinandjessdesigns it’s the 2nd dust pipe on the right side , that’s the problem, it’s not big enough in diameter, which causes clogging, with softwoods.
It’s a small gripe , which has improved since I’ve connected it to my Festool vac , instead of using my Dewalt cordless vac ,which lacks suction.
Have you compared this to the Festool 8-1/2"? Im looking for a smaller saw to lug around the jobsite, dust collection is important but not the only thing I am trying to cover. I have a lot of makita stuff, and in general like them. Id imagine that there are more blade options in the makita. Hows accuracy?
Does it cut 70mm depth for top/bottom plates?
Did your miter saw come with the receiver for the auto start wireless technology?

they come seperate, if you remove the cover that comes on the saw its an empty slot
