Also, that ending song is super beautiful. Proves that you don't need a high budget AAA game to make a good video game music.
I don't care if this boss was a palette swap of the final boss of CS1, if I was to be honest I think it is quite fitting that way. This was how it all began with them so this was how it should end. The time they were forced to part to the time to where they decided to part ways to pursue their own dreams and friends in some cases...looking at you Emma, my favorite girl. It was a fitting end to Class VII. This chapter was all about the end of their year there along with their time together so of course they would get really emotional at the end after having their victory. Who cares if there wasn't a physical reward for beating it like the divine knights? This was their last battle together, the last time they would be able to be together like this. As a person who felt very similarly in both high school and college, I understand how they felt. That is why I had to see it through to the end.
Theres actually an easier method is to have 2-3 phantasmal characters (personally i like vita and altina) and have rean perform Chrono Looping (deus gem/gale ex(or normal attack)/chronoburst/thors quartz/with EP reducers on quartz) and while he's looping every time a phastmal char goes to 100cp (since they get 10 per character action hence why you chrono loop with rean) you perform a break, so the only character toact is Rean and no dmg, no items, only 1 character turn
To beat this boss I just super buffed Laura with Taurus and literally everything that boosted her str stat. Then I just force fed her z powders and spammed radiant lion. It was hitting for 100k plus every time. Made the last boss really easy. Though I was only playing on normal.
I was able to have her break 200k on her S-Craft through the game without Taurus even. Now, granted that involved the Domination Quartz, and Rean using Motivate, but still, lol.

After I finished the finale i got totally burned out to play this game (jrpg burnout) because I sort of rushed the final dungeon. And realizing that this is just a filler after the finale I totally lose the will to play any further and just watched this playthrough instead of wasting hours with the same dungeon run as the last one.
@@pugachan9928 I feel like I'm in a minority in that I enjoyed the epilogues. yeah, it's all drawn out, but it's character fluff. I enjoy seeing the characters interact both in combat and in the world. :) To each their own
Same here. The crossbell episode was a nice bonus, but the epilogue was just the developers refusing to end the game, like it was really necessary to add a "normal day in TOCS1"? Or a badly designed auto-generated dungeon? The game overall was great and long, there was no need for any of that.
@@elock1277 It'd be interesting if the reason why the Gnomes were able to keep him as a pawn all throughout CSIII was due to the wound he got from the Vermillion Apocalypse. I mean, Angelica only got shot in the leg, and the mask had a small effect on her... Victor had his arm blown off, yet served as a herald for the rivalries. So, what effect would it have on an immortal?
For all the complaints/crow related comments, I don't think falcom handled the epilogue too well per say; however I think it's very critical plot wise and still provides a lot of entertainment (with the mirrors, it probably is to reward for players storming through the reverie corridor)
I was excited to face a brand new foe at the end of the final dungeon. When Loa Luciferia rose from the floor, my excitement diminished. Surely they could have given us a final boss that wasn't just a more powerful palette swap of a previous boss. Not to mention as Luciferia itself stated, defeating it would yield no reward, which made me think, ".........So Loa Luciferia doesn't NEED to be dealt with???" It also gave me the same feeling that Necron from FFIX did.
I think you missed the point of this boss. He says there is no reward from beating him - yet Rean says otherwise. This was to be be final hurrah for class VII before they all go their separate ways. This was the final chance for them. To fight alongside their friends in the place where it all began - bring them full circle. Rewards don't need to be physical, they can be emotional - and for class seven to finish their days at Thors shoulder to shoulder with me another was the best possible reward they could've hoped for. At least that's what I took from it.
I hate this boss fight. He got the first move with a critical bonus and almost annihilated my entire team with an AOE crit attack. Had to build up again from scratch fighting him and his annoying minions.
