It’s back and I’m so happy about it, this was discontinued before I got in the hobby and have wanted them to produce these again since day 1 when I saw their last one at the hobby store before I bought my first plane
I've been as enthusiastic with the UMX Waco as you are with this one. I love having a plane that looks good but is not intimidating to the average public. Fly it anytime anywhere. Clearly this one is more aerobatic and probably more sturdy - particularly in the landing gear. I've done a number of strengthening mods to the Waco. My foamy purchasing has leveled off lately (thank goodness) but this and the UMX Timber are high on the list. Thanks for your review.
Waco is great too, and I need a new landing gear for mine… but now I got also the UMX Pitts! Sometimes I love to fly the small and then again the bigger models.
love it. i fly mine so much it looks like a NYC taxi cab. i did run into some weak glue at the center top wing truss and wing wire anchors. also tape hinges. PS. they just came out with an 850mm version
@@Thercgeek I moved the linkage in on the control horns to increase the throws. I love it even more. Try it. im curious to see what you think of that. I should buy stock in foam tac glue. smashed it into 20 pieces on sunday. shes back together already. this and my fms 800mm p-51 are top on my list so far. Pitts is still #1 despite the extra glue weight.
He said he does not like Biplanes and they we all shunned him....LOL Biplanes are some of the first rc planes I flew, alone with EDF jets and everything else people told me not to fly....I love the power, maneuverability and the way biplanes slow down. It makes them easy to fly in spaces other planes may have trouble with.
Yeah, the umx airplanes were so great! I wonder if it’s related to not being able to get the chips that were used in the umx brick receivers that may have resulted in their discontinuation.
Of course! I’m embraced at my ignorance and to make matters worse I watch reruns almost every night.. But I love watching your reviews and admire your skill. Something for me to aspire too.
Very cool 😎 Nice review 👍🏻 I do like the UMX stuff from HH. I have 4 of them. The Timber that my I share with my 6 yr old that he flys solo🙃 A P-47 B-25 & a radian. I wouldn’t mind getting the Waco the Pitts is just a little above my skill level at the moment 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
that's it I'm getting one. I have a 1200 mm Pitts python and it's awesome it flies so sweet. it's actually the only plane I own that I haven't crashed. check it out Chris it's not much more than this little Pitts which I will be hitting up the hobby shop for tomorrow. OHHH YEAH!! 😎. nice review GEEK! ✈✈✈✈
awesome! It's such a fun little airplane. I was really surprised at how well the thing flies. It really inspired me to want a larger pitts model to fly. I was eyeing the kingcraft pitts, but ended up nabbing the new e-flite 850mm instead. :) The 850mm looks like it flies just like this little guy!
The RC Geek have you had a chance to fly the 855 mm Pitts yet. that is what I ended up getting. weather in the NW has been pretty wet lately. was kinda curious how you like it. 😎

I saw that, so great they brought it back! Such a great little umx
umx thunderbolt and wildcat was amazing 💪

The direction you tweaked the prop will give it less climb performance, and a higher top speed.
Correct. Loads the motor up a little more.
thanks Chris, I bought one, just have put in the air yet, now I'm really looking forward to that even more. mike
The UMX pitts is an incredible little airplane! #epic
cool!!!

Ha, nice! I did pick up the 850mm one, but I haven't had a chance to fly it yet. :( If it flies anything like the UMX, it will be epic!

The best umx. Ever

cant wait for the New one
Me too!
I really want this plane!
I wish they would bring it back
Oh, bummer! I didn’t realize they discontinued this one. It’s a fun little umx.
Makes me mad you cannot even get UMX Planes any more. I really enjoyed flying them out behind my trailer. Shame on E- Flite for discontinuing these.

Do you know if I can use the radio from my Eflight night vapor. It's a mlp6dsm. Thanks
Great review. Thanks. I'm considering to get one of these.....
Thank you! This is one of the all time greats of UMX’s IMO. I actually have video of the new one posting this Friday. 😊
Great review and flying exhibition. What’s with the barium, zinc, gallium T ?
Thank you! The T is a play on the character Sheldon's phrase "Bazinga" from the show The Big Bang Theory.

Thanks man!
You definetly got my sub
Thank you!
How long can this fly with a 2S 200 mAh battery?
I’m not certain. Probably about 3 minutes as a guess.
May I know what the estimated weight and speed of the plane is ?
Hey Chris, do you still fly this?
I still have it, it haven’t flown it in a while. I’m really happy to see they’ve brought it back. It’s one of the best umx’s out there!
Wish they still made it!
Agree!
Great news, they just announced that they're start selling the UMX Pitts again. They're gonna start shipping them at the end of Feb/2022! :D
I saw that, so awesome! This is such a great umx design
@@ThatOtherAndrew mine is on pre-order
God review im flyin mine!

Yeah, these UMX's are pretty darn incredible! So much fun packed into an almost plastic model sized package, haha!
How does it fly in safe mode?
It does fine, but don’t expect it to be super responsive on the controls.

are these micro models still brushed motors?
I think they're coming with brushless motors mostly now. This pitts has a cool little outrunner in it.
Oh thats good. Ive played with two Horizon models that had brushed and gear reduction motors. Horrible lol
Ou flying at Lakeside?
The flight was recorded out at the wingmasters field in the north county.
Is it better than the Waco?
Unfortunately, I’ve not flown the Waco so I can’t really say. 😬
Thank you,
Thanks for watching!
The plane in your video is NOT a Pitts !!!
Its Sean D Tucker's Oracle Challenger III
Man, I wish it was! I love the oracle challenger which is a very heavily modified Pitts airframe.
Its cool
