    If you want buy a new print head do this technique it almost always destroys the piezo crystals inside a Epson head. But if its messed up what do you have to loose. Be extremely careful about fluid getting into the electrical components, cause if you plug it in with fluid you will probably be buying a main board, ribbon cables, print head and a head board.
    There are other techniques that are not nearly as invasive nor have the chance of killing a printer. Oh and once you pull a head you get the pleasure of doing XYZ alignments for the next hour.
    Just saying

      Hi Eric, what would be the best way to clean a head that is slightly clogged? My yellow head got clogged once and I had them come service it, they said it wasn't a big issue and they cleaned it pretty quickly without removing the head. However 1 month later it seems to have started the same issue again.

      For this method you need a syringe, a small tube (that fits over the syringe tip) and the liquid solution. As shown in the video you then fill the syringe with the help of the tube to reach the liquid. When you have done that you can attach the other end to a hole on the printhead and then inject the liquid. You will see the liquid solution should come out on the other side, possibly in the colour that you are trying to unclog. Continue injecting the solution for all the other holes until only clear liquid comes out.

    What is the inside diameter of the tubing for the best fit on the printhead nipples?

    • @AchievementMatters
      @AchievementMatters  4 года назад

      Depends on your printhead. Normally a 4mm tube (inner about 3mm)

      @@CCproV hahahaha that method will certaninly damage the print head, the best way if you want to pass the solution inside the printhead is to push very very gently and then pull more gently to extract the dried ink that clogged the printhead but also have in mind that if your printhead have too much time in use may very well be a time to replace it.

    i did it like you, but now when i pull water through the print head, the water goes out by 2 colours.. is it damaged now?
    :(

      Hard to say, because this technique is last method and should not use if clean by machine still works. Anyway, you should not push too hard. And if damaged after wash, it might be damaged before already, only the wash expose it. Because when inside interconnected, most likely is cause by the internal heat melt the components. And blockage will cause internal heat up.

      If you put to much pressure you will damage the head. Put the head on solution and let it rest for a couple hours and then pull with the syringe, dont push just pull.

    • @omarperalta5378
      @omarperalta5378 6 лет назад +1

      If you can, take the head out and with a small syringe push a little portion of cleaning solution on that channel and let it rest for a couple minutes and then push distilled water and install the head again and do a auto cleaning.
