Nice cards. Love some 1964 cards. The Ron Santo is a great one. That is a steal of a price for the 59 Drysdale. Love the Olsen RC. Great cards and thanks for sharing with us.
You scored some wonderful cards, Steve. Drysdale is another one of the underappreciated HOF pitchers. Solid pickups of DD. And the Merlin Olsen! Yes, you should definitely finish up the Fearsome Foursome run. Merlin Olsen was a class act. Thanks for showing us some more great adds to your impressive collection.
Awesome pickups Steve! Love all three of the Drysdale cards! Bummer that that you’re not going to the National! You will be missed! Congrats on your daughter’s graduation!
Thanks Jim! Yeah, I wish I could go this year but it is the same time as my daughter's birthday! When it is in Chicago I can sneak away for a bit, but when it is further away I need to stay home and celebrate with the family. Enjoy your weekend!
Hi Steve, congratulations to your daughter on starting her career in Arlington. What a great area to be as a young person. I interned in DC in college and it was one of the best experiences in my life. There was so much to do. That’s funny you mentioned the Fearsome Foursome. I am doing the same thing, which doesn’t surprise me given we think similarly on a lot of things. I just need the Lundy. I could have had one a couple months but forgot to bid. That is a beautiful Merlin card. That era was a Golden Age of defensive tackles with Merlin, Lilly, Mean Joe Greenwell and Alan Page. Nice Santo, Robby and Drysdale additions too. Drysdale is such an interesting personality. I love to read and talk about him. Have a great weekend. Take care
Thanks Terry! We had a blast in the Arlington area, I am excited for her to experience that area! The fact you are thinking of grabbing the fearsome foursome does not surprise me, I have not started looking for Greer or Lundy cards yet. That really was a Golden Age of defensive tackles, those four were just amazing players. When you throw in players like Roger Brown, Alex Karras, and Curley Culp into the conversation it really was a Golden Era! Drysdale really was an interesting personality, I always enjoyed him as an announcer! Appreciate you watching, have a great weekend and if we don't chat have a fantastic July 4th Holiday with the family!
I always loved those 68 Topps Game inserts. AND always a fan of Don Drysdale as my parents both went to Van Nuys High School with him. Years later, I had season tickets the row in back of his family. He would sit there with them when he got his 3 inning break and I got a chance to speak with him regularly until his untimely passing. AND of course I loved the Fearsome Foursome too! Those a re sweet.
Hey Steve! Great pickups. Loved the Olson. It looks really nice next to the Dave Jones. The greatest D-Line of the Rams would be a fun project. Looking forward to seeing you complete that.
Thanks Andy! Jack Youngblood RC is sneaky expensive, I continue to look for one in the right condition and price range. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Thanks Mark! That 59 Drysdale is exactly what your were talking about on your last video, great eye appeal! Appreciate you watching! Enjoy your weekene!
Great pickups, Steve. The '64 Santo, for being a little off-center, has really good eye appeal. Love the '59 Drysdale in part because of the Airedale cartoon on the back, and I think '59s just look particularly good in the tux. And I think your Rams idea is really cool! I'd say it was another great month of pickups!
Great pickups, Steve! The color on the Santo is amazing. Love all the Drysdales and the Frank Robinson. I’ve been eyeing those game cards lately. Saw a Clemente at a card show today but the guy was asking a bit too much. Thanks for sharing as always. Later!
Gave a video like. Great pickups! Always enjoy seeing some Don Drysdale cards. I agree with you on those game cards. A real bargain right now IMO. Love the Merlin Olsen card, a legend. Really appreciate those Philadelphia sets.
Steve, congrats on your daughter's graduation. I still need to go to National Park. Glad you got to go. I literally finished the 1968 Topps Game set this morning. It's a fun set with some great players and the Mantle was the one card I paid a lot for ($35). Some nice Drysdale's there. The 59 is sweet and you got a great price. Which of his cards do you need to finish? WHOA, Merlin Olsen. NICE!! I don't want to go the Rams hole, but I do pick some up here and there. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
Thanks Rick! Nationals Park is a pretty nice park, my middle daughter surprised me later with tickets to the Dodgers/Sox last week! How many cards are there in the 68 Topps Game set? I think I need Drysdale's 58,60,65 and 69 plus his 63 Fleer so I still have a ways to go.
Great cards Steve - love the 64 Drysdale - working on his run myself - the 59's are kind of growing on me - appreciate seeing some football cards as well.
Great pick up Steve! Love the Merlin Olson card! Excellent, Dan Drysdale pick ups! How close are you to the top run? That looks like a pretty good Father’s Day run! Also, that’s a cool idea of getting the rookie cards of all of those ram lineman also!
Great great stuff. I love the SGC Drysdale.
Thanks Mike, appreciate it! Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks Rob! The game cards are a pretty good bargain for the players you get. Even the Mantle and Clemente are reasonably priced.
Great stuff

I remember Merlin Olsen from the Floral Arrangement commercials (FTD). I thought those were funny that he did those.
A few too many Rams and Dodgers. Lol good stuff
