Love the 70 Topps set, I don’t have many of that year in. Love that Frank Leaf!! Roberto and Perez! Frank minor league card is very nice!!! Nice 75s!! Never seen that Joe Morgan!!
Steve, what a stunning high-grade Johnny Unitas for $20! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I love picking up less expensive cards in between the "bigger" purchases! Great pickups! Happy Holidays, my collecting brother! 😊👊
Great cards my friend! I love the 70 Perez as well. I think the color scheme with the red in his helmet and sleeves works great with the gray border. Love the Frank Leaf rookie as well. Great job!
@@EverydayCardCollector-Jason Thanks Jason! The Perez is a classic and I knew you would appreciate the Thomas! Have a great time at the show this weekend, can’t wait to see what everyone picks up!
Hi Steve, good to see you back with a video. Love the 59 Topps Jim Brown and 72 Unitas. The two signature players from their era. The first Unitas too without the iconic flattop. I am with you on the 70 Topps Perez. I love his 67 Topps but the 70 is right up there with it. 70 Topps is such a classy design, and the Morgan and Clemente are two other great pickups. The 75 Winfield and Stargell would look nice side by side with the batting poses. The 90 Leaf Frank Thomas was one of the last super-hot cards in the hobby before I got out of it as a teenager. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Terry! I had not realized the 72 Unitas was the first without his flattop haircut! I am a big fan of the 59 Brown and hope to add his RC to the collection one day. The 67 Perez is another fantastic card. I think in both cases, it is the uniforms that make the card! Have a great week!
That's a really nice Joe Morgan. I like the McCovey quite a bit as well, and I think I picked up my '70 Perez when we LCS-hopped earlier this fall. I absolutely love that card. Thanks for sharing, Steve!
Enjoy your videos Steve. We have common collecting tastes it seems. That '72 football set is my joy!! I don't create content and pretty much collecting alone though. Keep up the good videos!!
Thank you! The 72 Topps football set is definitely one of my all-time favorites! I actually love Topps football from 68-72 such cool sets. RUclips is a great way to meet other collectors whether you make content or not, really appreciate you taking the time to watch! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Hi Steve! I love your pickups, my friend. Of course, I like the 70 Perez card. The image is fantastic and the color scheme is great. Also, you did well on the Jim Brown. It’s such a beautiful card. I’m looking to add a card of his to my collection at some point. And finally, my favorite pickup of yours is the Unitas. I missed one on eBay not too long ago. It’s such a nice looking card. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful rest of the week, buddy!
I have never really been a fan of the 1970 Topps design, but they look great in SGC slabs. The Perez and Morgan cards look awesome with that Astros old school logo.
Terrific pickups Steve! Great to see some love for guys like Winfield, Perez, McCovey, etc. Love seeing Jim Brown pickups. He is very adored in my neck of the woods in Central NY, obviously for playing football and lacrosse. Congrats my friend!
@@sfisportscards8323 Thanks Sammy appreciate it! I am actually in your neck of the woods, visiting my oldest daughter in Syracuse for her birthday and Thanksgiving!
Just some great cards you picked up here Steve. Love the Frank Thomas leaf rookie. Beautiful Unitas ‘72 Topps. Super sharp ‘75 Winfield and Stargell! I’d like to complete Stargell’s run all but RC some day. I think that ‘70 Joe Morgan is fantastic. And a ‘68 Mcovey. Super nice pickups! Thank you kindly for the shoutout. That was a lot of fun to be on the episode with you and John. Looking forward to the next episode with Theo Clemente Collector! Take care!
Thanks, Topher! The Thomas Leaf RC was the last of his RC I needed to add. I hope to get them all slabbed someday! Stargell has a lot of really cool cards and he is so cheap for as good a player as he was. His 72 is one of my favorite cards of his!
Hi Steve. Really nice pickups. That Frank Thomas Barons card is really awesome and I`ve never seen it before. Both 75 Winfield and Stargell cards are really sharp. That Morgan 70 card is a cool looking card. Thanks for sharing my friend, talk soon pal.
I like the 70 Perez. Red is a favorite color of mine which is probably why. The 1970 Clemente was a card in the very first pack I ever opened as a kid. I still have the card. The '75 Winfield card is likely my favorite of his.
Hi Steve! I like the ‘72 Unitas a lot and seems like the most reasonable of his in a Colts uni. Enjoyed your ‘70 Topps baseball additions. You’ve done a nice job adding some great cards while you have been saving! What’s a good card shop around your area? I’m going to be hitting some card shops up there next week and need some good ones to check out.
Thanks Andy! The one card shop I frequent the most is AU Sports in Morton Grove. Their cards are usually priced a bit high but they also have some nice quality cards and you can usually find a few deals. Wish I was going to be in town next week would have loved to meet you there!
Fantastic video, as usual. I really enjoy your content, thanks for putting it out there. I believe you are in the Chicago area - so am I. Would you mind sharing the name of the LCS you frequent? thanks!
Thank you, really appreciate it! I live in the Northwest suburbs (Mount Prospect) and the LCS I frequent is called AU Sports in Morton Grove. Their cards can be priced a bit high but they have some nice cards and you can usually find a few decent deals. Where are you located?
