Hailstorm at Junk Yard on 66 in Grants, NM | FindUsCamping Crawl

Welcome back to another exciting day of the FindUsCamping Crawl! 🌞 Today marks Day 14 of our journey, and we're thrilled to share our adventure at the unique Harvest Hosts location, Junk Yard on 66 in Grants, New Mexico.
Our travel day was filled with beautiful, warm weather as we made our way to this quirky destination. Upon arrival, we opened the gate and met the friendly owner who guided us to our spot for the night. But just as we got unhooked, Mother Nature decided to throw us a curveball. Dark clouds rolled in, and within seconds, we were caught in a hailstorm! 🌩️ The hail, about the size of large peas, pelted down for a good 20 minutes. It was quite the experience, and even the owner remarked he'd never seen anything like it before.
Once the skies cleared, we headed inside the brewery to relax and enjoy some adult beverages. 🍻 The brewery had a fantastic vibe with its bar made from an old truck and walls adorned with cool car parts. Robert and Ray took on a friendly game of pool while the ladies enjoyed a few drinks. It was the perfect way to unwind after the unexpected weather excitement.
This stop has been a highlight of our trip so far, combining unique decor, friendly folks, and great drinks. We can't wait to continue our journey and share more amazing experiences with you. Stay tuned for tomorrow's adventures as we hit the road once again!
