I think you should draw the line for yourself, mine is drawn at where the notes are played so fast that it would be physically impossible to hear them over music. Like this stuff, but this guy has great technique and you can clearly see some power.
comes with the genre. lots of downtuning and packing up the soundscape going on. basically, you either trigger or eq the sound of the bassdrum and everything positioned in similar place in the spectrum extremely hard or the only thing that comes out is rumble with no musical significance. yes, you can skip that but i wanna hear a recording where the performance is basically the drummer going HA HA!
