►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the '90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i explored grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well. Recently i found shoegaze and lo-fi as well. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

Saw Equus by NeO and just had to click.
NeO is brilliant, and their discography is more than worth checking out.
Tim Charles clean vocals are truly beautiful.

Whoa.....dude. I actually got through all the song without tearing up but then your written words on screen and your obvious discomfort started me again. I was one of the lucky ones, fire missed my house by 300 metres (a bit under a 1/4 mile) that day but took others. Never been that scared in my life and I still have ptsd from it. Tha solo takes me straight back to that day, sounds like sirens! We were stuck in our town for a week, armed security letting 10 a time into the only supermarket. I stayed awake for 3 nights chasing looters out of our street.......man!😢

Discovered their music last year and I'm not sure how I missed them before that. I know a few metal bands with a permanent violinist, but none who use the violin as well as Ne Obliviscaris. They'd be in my top 5 discoveries from outside Japan in the last few years. Somehow the extensive use of harsh vocals isn't the problem it'd normally be for me. You may have heard the song "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope", but if not I recommend trying the live video of it.

Just discovered your channel! I’ll be diving into your backlog.
The first time I heard this song I was stunned and teary eyed. It’s a powerful song, especially paired with the imagery of the video.
Might recommend Aphelion Void by Dodheimsgard.
