I rode the yellow side of the track when it first opened, so it did indeed work at some point. I was just starting high school when it opened, and for an AWFULly long wait time, then feeling like my neck was permanently messed up I decided maybe it was a fluke? So I rode it again a few months later on the red track only operating and low and behold the ride just sucks ass. So I never rode it again and shortly after it's gone for good, hurrah! I was born and raised in Orange County (Yorba Linda/Anaheim Hills) so getting to Knott's and Disneyland was roughly 20 minutes since they were both off the 5 freeway. Growing up Disneyland was still an awesome place to go because passes were relatively cheap still, you could get away with parking for free for 5-6 hours (with validation) in Downtown Disney and ya...sucks for people that were born after the 80's (maybe early 90's is okay), because we had it the best and kids never got to experience the happiness we did ever again. So sucks for true millennials and Gen-Z. Only fitting the worst generations did not deserve to have the happiness we did : )
Continue the story in 2022 they repainted the tracks that are based on element levels red orange yellow and grey after testing the ride and no Rollbacks they can finally reopen after a year a huge rise of xcelerator
no they are opening Excelerator and Montezuma‘s revenge back up in the summer this year and upgrading fiesta village I will be going in June fs I have the pass
The new paint job is actually butt ugly and makes no sense lol. Its almost like its supposed to be flames, but the launch is black... IDK, its ugly. Doesn't really matter tho, cause the ride has been closed every time i've been to the park oveer the last 3 years. Just remove it if it doesn't fucking work.
I hope that an accident on the Xcelerator that damages everything so bad that they’d have to straight up bring Windjammer Surf Racers so I can enjoy it more and probably break my neck since I don’t care about Windjammer being dangerous or not
