I feel really sorry for kids today, why has all the joy, silliness & laughter been sucked out of it, just leaving sad environmental sludge, Worzel's even lost his love, as Aunt Sally's now morphed into his actual Aunt. PC was supposed to just make people be nice & polite to each other, which is great, so how did this grey steamrollering happen, where everything has to be so bland & utterly inoffensive?? OK, rant over ;-) Right off for tea & cake xx

I watched the series when I was a kid, until now I actually had no idea that the man playing him, John Pertwee, was one of my faves from Doctor Who!
Just a quibble. John Pertwee served on the Hood, but was away on a training course when it was sank by the Bismarck. Perhaps it just wasn't his time!
