    To know how well your drone could fly is critical to making drone videos. You want to concentrate on what the audience loves to watch from their perspective, so just focus on making those kinds of videos. This will take time in order to know what your audience wants to watch, so just keep making them.
    But people are asking the question, now that I've bought a DJI Spark, I want to make videos with it, what do I do with it? I'm going to do my best to help you make better videos with these 5 cool drone tricks.
    First Cool Drone Trick - Remote Start 00:32
    Imagine your ready to safely launch your DJI Spark but your smartphone is not being used. You may be searching for how to launch your DJI Spark with your remote, and you're in luck!
    Simply pull both joysticks simultaneously! Left joystick diagonally down to the left and the right joystick down and to the right. The same way to turn on your Spark is the exact same way you could turn it off.
    Second Cool Drone Trick - Circle 2:39
    This trick is called "Circle" and it allows you to highlight an area around your subject, press "GO" and the DJI Spark will fly in a perfect circle all on its own. The sensors are facing your subject, so you should only do this in a wide open space like a park or a field.
    Third Cool Drone Trick - Dronie 3:05
    The "Dronie" trick is basically a selfie video with your drone. It's great for making a small section of land appear bigger and personally, I think it creates a cool looking video. Highlight your subject by touching and dragging your finger across the screen and tap "GO".
    A Word of Caution: Your DJI Spark does not have any sensors behind it, so your drone needs a clear path to fly or else it will be at the mercy of tree branches or buildings...lol!
    Fourth Cool Drone Trick - Helix 3:51
    Just like the circle trick, the "Helix" spirals far away from your subject and will continue to do so until your drone stops all by itself. Use plenty of space when using this trick!
    Fifth Cool Drone Trick - Rocket 4:28
    This is an awesome trick where the drone locks onto your subject, flies directly over it and then climbs altitude for about 145 feet (44m). This would look great if you are in a clearing in a patch of woods and want the drone fly out of the woods.
    First Bonus Drone Trick - Object Detection 1:12
    Select sport mode "Off" and your DJI Spark will fly slower but will stop once it comes close to an object like tree branches. When you select sport mode "On", the sensors are turned off and you can fly your DJI Spark at full speed. I've recorded my Spark's top speed at 38mph. Nice!
    Second Bonus Drone Trick - Take Videos & Pictures 1:34
    Your drone comes equipped with a 1080p camera which is fantastic video quality. Once your drone is in the air, press the video record button on the top left corner. To snap a picture, simply press the camera button at the top right corner.
    Third Bonus Drone Trick - Quick Shutoff 5:12
    To quickly shut off your drone while it's hovering in the air. Firmly grab it from underneath and rotate it sideways until you hear and see the blades stop spinning.

    The catch-to-turn-off is a nifty trick. I find that approaching the Spark from the back is better because the Spark's front sensor can make it back away from you as you try to approach it with your hand from the front. You should also mention to not come in from under the Spark too because the bottom sensor will make the Spark ascend away from your hand if you try to catch it from below. So coming in from the back is the best for this trick.
    I've also started even *launching* the drone from the palm of my hand too! This way, my DJI Spark never touches the ground and doesn't get dirty with dust off dirt or from weeds hitting the blades. I like to "baby" my drones and this little Spark's size is perfect for hand catches & launches. :)

It is a setting in the sensors from the menu of the DJI app the on a smart phone. Flying with obstacle avoidance turned on in regular mode (not sport mode), the spark fly at about 6 mph, with obstacle avoidance turned off the spark fly at about 12 mph

  • @dan-lee
    @dan-lee 5 лет назад +2

    That's not tricks, more like tutorial which explains Spark's flight mode.
    Let me give one trick :
    Using active track trace mode & swipe direction to left / right by 100%, the spark will circle & follow as well when subject moving.
    That's cinematic shot.

    • @beyondfossil
      @beyondfossil 5 лет назад

      I just started using this track & orbit mode yesterday. Such a sophisticated maneuver! Even a human pilot would have problems doing this. The one thing I found with this mode is you have to move very slowly. I was riding my bike and when I exceeded even 6mph or so and depending on which phase of the orbit the Spark is, you can easily leave it behind and it will throw an error on screen "subject lost - reacquiring". This flight mode does need some optimizations like to calculate the "velocity vector" of the target and factor that into its flight pattern because its too easy for the Spark to overshoot even a simple target that is moving in a straight line at a constant speed.

    • @dan-lee
      @dan-lee 5 лет назад

      @@beyondfossil because when using that mode, spark speed are limited just up to 10 km/h.
      I believe we don't get that issue when using better drone like Mavic 2 Pro which has active track 2.0, better flight simulation & prediction..

      You need to have a more active outdoors life to really enjoy this thing. Get a bicycle, go jogging, travel, go to a company picnic and wow your co-workers with it. Tip: practice all the "quick shots" shown in this video a few times in different scenarios and know how they work best before making a fool of yourself by crashing the DJI Spark into a tree in front of your co-workers. ;-)

    Would it be possible to fly a drone 15 to 20 feet above a group of people and audio record while standing about the same distance away from the group?

    • @DroneMaverick
      @DroneMaverick  4 года назад

      Rumple Stiltskin great question! To legally fly over people you must get a waiver from the FAA.

      @@DroneMaverick Okay. Is audio recording from the drone possible, if such permission is granted?

      No!
      It is illegal, in every state that I know of, to record a conversation that you are NOT part of. In some states it's illegal to record any part of a conversation EVEN if you are in that conversation.
      So please don't put yourself into that kind of legal predicament.

      @@JusticeForSome Does not mean that the drone is not capable of audio recording. It's common sense and they will not forbid audio from a drone camera. Anyone anywhere uses an audio device in one way or another that can record. My Typhoon had audio but it sucked as you could hear the props in the background. THAT being said, my guess is that that camera system may be too small to host audio but I could be wrong. All I had to do for my Typhoon is tap audio on or off...... BUT, 4K systems spared no expense either...

    It seems some of your videos are not taken with dji spark. dji spark battery life is 13 mins. Your video shows more than 16 min.

      I think he is though, the one that shows 16:00 is for the GPS thingy, or how far the drone is from the subject.

      DJI spark can fly well over 15 minutes depending on how you fly it and if you are recording the whole time or just hovering not using much power

      I have had my spark last 00:17:28 that is the longest flight and it was a cool day low humidity 0 wind and only hovering not moving around there are many factors that play into how long the flight lasts
