haha I recognized that too - but it's not uncommon for Chef's to own many restaurants and prepare menu's for them, he probably has other chef's handle the daily cooking.
He's not only a chef, he's an executive chef, which is a little different. It means he "designs" the menu, helps with inventory, orders, figure out the costs of every dish he create yet he doesn't necessarily work in the restaurant on a day to day basis. The regular chefs cooks the dishes the executive chef create and taught him.
silverlake and echo park (where the two restaurants are) are really close neighborhoods in la so it's not too surprising that he would design the menu and own both since they are probably pretty close
Antonia Lofaso is hands down one of my favorite chefs. Especially now that I know she uses Tito’s Vodka and gives out wine while she cooks for you! Love it!
this vodka pasta looks very good! that is what i like about italian food... lot of things are simple but great and easy to cook. u just need good ingredients and have a good hand for cooking (feeling and passion) no need for exact measurements its all about the „feeling and passion“

I have recreated that first pasta using her recipe 10000 times since watching this video and it is, legitimately, the BEST pasta I've ever had.
