When we all know, just like all problems blacks face are not black specific, that not all problems caused BY blacks are black specific either. And just because certain people don't live up to your standard of success, which is highly subjective, doesn't necessarily mean that they are lazy, or worthless, or pieces of shit. A rainy day fund is a nice cushion, but the reality is, most people will never see $25,000 in their account at any given time. Bill O'Reilly is a master manipulator of the concept of libertarianism. Which is the belief that if your life isn't fair/good, its because your not trying hard enough. It assumes that all citizens have an equal chance to succeed in life.
The problem with Libertarianism is that it belongs in philosophy not politics. If it belongs Anywhere at all. The idea that you must take your life into your own hands and make something of it is rather trite is it not? As if we wouldn't be doing that anyway? It's the variables of life that make misfortune and fortune. The idea that you can (1-up) life by getting a good grip is just stupid. Furthermore, the concept has no value whatsoever if a society doesnt give the same chances to every single person to succeed. Which is probably fucking impossible anyway.?

I'm from the UK and I don't see what bill O'Reilly said that was wrong! it's Russell Brand and his retarded fans that worry me. all he does is mimic an American accent as if there's something wrong with it. all bill is saying is that outcome is dependent on behaviour. Russell Brand is saying that people can reject education, commit crime, join a gang and take drugs, then complain when they don't make as much money as someone who spent their youth studying medicine and staying out of trouble.
The accent is just to allow the argument to be a little more light hearted is all my friend. I understand that people have the will to do what they please and can work hard to achieve a certain level of 'success'. However, what Russell aims to point out is the social structures that are in place can hinder particular sections of our society e.g people living in poor areas or ethnic minority groups. FOX seems to promote the view that if you are born poor, you can deal with it and that is where your point becomes valid. If you want success and are willing to work for it then it can happen. Yet, people are being forced into poverty by the people who are being trusted to look after us....the Government and the media.
It's amazing how much person's accent has the ability to change the impressions/ perception of a person. Russel seems like a different person with his O'Reilly impression!
