I love how your saying you don’t have kids but look at you now!
I love your cute little Naomi! ❤❤ keep up the good work guys!
The kids begged me to hit like because Avram is their favorite celebrity. ;) We all love your videos - my husband is in seminary and wanted to teach our kids (5 & 3) Hebrew and I'm learning too!
Does it work for a 3 years old?
@@meusisto She's not picking it up as quickly as the 5 year old, and we don't do the reading with either of them, but she is learning!
@@kyleighdunn4469 Thank you for reply! This is very interesting! Please, how do you do this? Does she just watch the video or do you explain to her?
@@meusisto We watch it once without repeating anything, and then after that around 4 more times with them repeating everything after Beth & Avram, stopping to explain anything they seem confused about.
@@kyleighdunn4469 Kids always learn fast and without accent. Don't worry. Just play the videos as many times you can. Try to find some videos for kids (cartoon) in Hebrew for them.

ẖamishah atim v-atot aẖat! magna est familia tua! 😃
And yes! Everyone give this video a yad tova! 👍
magna est! :)
LOL, this kind of short-circuited my brain until I got my Hebrew and Latin wires uncrossed.
Now to figure out how to say "Latin" in Hebrew!
@@MikeHagedon you normaly say לטינית (latinit)
What a big and beautiful family! My wife would say "You poor girl, Beth, with all those brothers!" I'm sure there was no trouble in your household. 😉
Excellent video as usual. It will take a while before I can really recognize all the endings when I hear/read them. I liked how you summarized everything near the end, and of course in the grammar notes. And the exercises are helping too. May God bless you richly as you continue to teach the original language of the "ancient words".
When I am using earbuds, I can faintly hear the birds singing in the background. Love it. I needed to watch this lesson a fair number of times to really get the hang of the possessive suffixes.
4:21 - Wow, what a plot twist!
4:32 - Ah, ok.
Beth had (has) a very nice big family!
True, I feel very blessed to be part of a big family!
@@AlephwithBeth At barcha meod ki yesh lach beit av gadol! (Is that correct?)
Behold, the good hand!
I gave this video a good hand! 😆👍
Have been racing through these videos. They are really good. How I wish I'd stumbled across them ten years ago! But then, they didn't exist! A huge thank you to Beth and Andrew.
So far, this lessons I need to watch the most number of times. The more I watch, the clearer it is. I was so confused with the pronoun in the past. But now it is much clearer. If I just study the pronoun suffix table in conventional books, no matter how many times I read, they still cannot get into my brain. But for this video, it took me 5-6 times watching, it is much better than reading the conventional table 20, or 30 times.
I'm glad it's helping you internalize the pronominal suffixes! I know these lessons on the suffixes are a bit hard because there's a lot of information to process. I hope to produce some accompanying bonus lessons for these lessons soon, to hopefully make the internalization a little easier. :) Happy Hebrew learning!

Hola Beth.
Gracias.
ESTA LECCION SI ME AGRADO Y ME COSTO, ESPERO APLICARLA, TODA RABA
Yad tova!! 😂👏🏾👏🏾✨
Greetings from Saline!
Saline, MI?
@@AlephwithBeth yup. :)
Awesome! I (Beth) grew up in Clinton, just down the road off of US-12 so Saline is basically like home for me! :)
@@AlephwithBeth Well, if we ever get an AwB Hebrew club started in Saline/AA, you and Avram can be our guest speakers!
looking forward to reviewing this lesson a bunch until all the transformations are obvious and second nature :)

קבלו ממני יד טובה. אני נהנה לצפות בסרטונים שלכם. למרות שאני מדבר עברית.
❤
יד טובה
אני אוהב עברית!
Is there a mistake at 17:49?
Really enjoying the lessons btw, thank you for doing this!
Our pleasure :) Sometimes we do have typos slip through, but I don't think there's a mistake at that time stamp! וְ becomes וַ before a word that begins with the vowel אֲ, if that's what you're wondering...
@@AlephwithBeth Ah my bad! That was what I was wondering yes. Thanks for your answer :)
TOV MEYOD!
I think at 15:45 there's a typo. It should be שָׁלוֹשׁ.
You are so beautiful!!! ❤❤❤ Thanks for these videos, it's realy wonderful. It's possible to learn. Sorry for my english, it's awful!!! I hope my hebrew will be better than it 😅😅
I've watched this lesson several times and this time I mentioned that there are questions but no ? How do you know when you are reading a text that this is a question?
You just have to know the language to know whether it's a question or not, since there's no punctuation that marks questions. For that reason, there are some passages that are disputed as to whether they are questions or statements.
@@AlephwithBeth What about modern Hebrew?
❤❤
אני נהנה ללמוד איתך עברית.
Muito bom mesmo
Jajaja yad tova!
👍👍👍
A question please: this hebrew is the same as modern hebrew? I want to learn modern hebrew. thanks a lot
It's not the same, but there are many things in common that will help with Modern Hebrew. If you speak exactly like in these videos in Israel, you will probably sound funny and old-fashioned, but these videos can help you learn some vocabulary and basic grammar that is still true for Modern Hebrew.
Salom
What did you say between "lo" and "isha" at 4:33? Thanks
אֵינֶנּוּ, it is the negator אַיִן with a 3rd person masculine singular suffix on it, so "he is not ___"
Minha terra é no Brasil.
ABSALOM= padre de paz. Un nombre bastante ironico para tal personaje.

how did Romke De Vries ended up here?
se vc colocasse a tradução ao lado ficaria completo
Not today 😁 you are going out today.
3፡00 shouldn't it be avo instead of avi
Or avi is construct
אֲבִי is the construct form "father of..." and אָבִי is "my father"
Thanks
אברם אישה... So... who is he? (He is she... hmm... 'who' means 'he,' ..'he' means 'she'... and 'dog' means 'fish"
In first year Hebrew class (15 yrs ago now), my lecturer told us 'me is who, who is he, he is she' and I still find that helpful as a memory aid 😊
