Your teaching methods are nothing short of brilliant. I've been trying to learn Hebrew from books and by memory for months now. These videos have made simple so much of what I struggled to memorize and apply. Blessings.
Wow, thank you for your kind words! Really glad our videos have been helpful to you!
Fully agree.
Yeah
Now if we could only get Gal Gadot to recommend Aleph with Beth to the world...
What a beautiful video! Slowly slowly to introduce into the Bibilical Hebrew world. It's a lot of efforts to produce these great videos. Thank you Beit and Avram. May GOD bless you!
איש גבור!
😂 You two are hysterical!
👏🏻
I think the same....
מה זה אומר? (איש גבור)
I just realized why they picked "para" and "hamor" - for this yafa /gibor joke! I love the planning and humor put into this series.
I think the same to
Toda rabba Abraham and Beth for sharing these Ivrit lessons.YaHWEH bless and keep you... shalom!!🌾🍃🌱7🌿🥀
Now I can only see you two as children 🤗 adorable
Blessings
It is amazing to me that I have watched 46 relatively short videos, and already I am reading Hebrew sentences. Thank you again for producing this amazing resource.
It's always enjoyable to see the creative teaching methods 😁😁😁
An astonishing amount of effort must go into this work of pedagogical genius. I am on lesson 26 and I am now reading full sentences in the Hebrew Bible! The only other Hebrew training I did was take Mark Futato's on-line course in Faithlife TV. With that minimal background I jumped into this and it all started to make sense. This is astonishing to me, and so gratifying. I love that you only speak Hebrew during the training. Thank you Beth and Abram.
So glad to hear that, thank you!
i finish my day learning hebrew....thanks....

Genial. Divertido. Gracias.
Cool HACAVOD Beth!Shalom mi România!
I think the presentation of beauty is one of the more difficult of your early lessons. Probably because the male and female adjectives for beauty that seem to appear in a construct state. I thought that the construct state joined two nouns. I guess we have a an adjective modifying it's proceeding noun that also functions as a noun in a construct. Initially it didn't help that - "appearance" is masculine but looks feminine because of the hey at the end of the verb to see. Also that no verbs- particularly the verb to be beautiful were harmed in the making of this video. Now it seems crystal clear but I initially watched it a number of times in a fog of miscomprehension.
If you only knew how much i love your content .please please don't stop bevachsaw
Do you guys have pet birds? I often hear birds in the background of your videos and I'm curious about it. Thank you for sharing your hard work for free.
We do have one bird, Zedekiah, whom you'll meet in a future lesson :) However, back when we were filming this lesson and those around it, we didn't have any pets. We were actually in Spain in lockdown in a small apartment, and there were often birds singing outside the window, so that's why you hear so many birds in these lessons!

Today Rabbah for yur talmidim for learned me today rabbà thank yu for learn me hebrew
Shalom ! Maravilhoso os vídeos.
Obrigada. Mas para mim ainda é muito difícil entender essa gramática.
Não desista!
Tentar entender a gramática acaba me dificultando... Mas quando eu esqueço das regras e só tento entender por repetição e intuição, faz mais sentido :)
Eu precisei começar do zero depois da lição 20. Agora assisti tudo de novo e consegui pegar! Força!
אברם טוב בעיני 👀 אשר אמר למאר את יפה מאוד ולא את פרה. 🐮
❤❤❤
תודה רבה ❤
De verdad gracias por sus videos
감사합니다.
אתם הייתם ילדים יפים. 😉
:D Todah
Tengo confusión en el uso de טיבי y de היה en el texto de פוטיפר así como entender juntas מראה y יפה y יפת. Lo veré 4 o 5 veces más antes de avanzar. Ya lo pillaré. Supongo que pretender una traducción exacta se me hace difícil. No debería traducirlo, verdad?? Gracias
Hola!! Un pregunta: en el minuto 16... que significa vaiehí... no logró descifrar...
Andrew as a gibor was amazing!
Hi Beth, I know you aren't in much favor of direct translations. but a small question. Can 'hayyah' be translated as "was" and "had"?
Yes, היה is literally "was" (masc.) and if it occurs with a noun that has the lamed preposition with a possessive meaning then it would be "was to ___" and that would be translated "had." However __היה ל also sometimes means "became ___"
@@AlephwithBeth Thank you, Its clear now! Although the last example went right over my head.. 😬😬
Excuse me, Could I ask some question, what the function and meaning of היה and מראה really? thank you
Hi! The answers to your questions can be found in our grammar document section for Lesson 26:

okay, thank you
For the bible readings, did you deliberately leave the name of the books untranslated as an extra exercise? I managed to read that this one was 2 Samuel and knew that Genesis was Beresith from seeing it in a Latin bible (Liber Genesis Hebraice Beresith) Others may not be so fortunate.
26 Has commercials Before and in 1 min. in. last time as soon as I told you they stopped the commercials. maybe this time too.
Yeah this one is beyond our control and a special case because someone made a copyright claim on it for a video clip, even though it's fair use.
@@AlephwithBeth thank you so very much for all the teachings you have given us and for such quick help! You are loved!
HERMOSOS GRACIAS GRACIOSOS. ME GUSTA LA CLASE
😘🇧🇷
Bet Y Abraham, SHALOM. necesito hacer una traduccion de unas palabras en Hebreo al espanol.
as aulas são legais..mas..fica dificil por não haver traduçoes portugues...
hahaha in the final part I like the way you're joking each other ,so funny ,,,,
YEHOVAH los bendiga siempre
todah rabah😀
Then in Hebrew they say Iššā yefāt mar'e, not Eššet yafe mar'e, as I would expect. Also, the adjectives agree with the subject in this ''partitve'' construct, Idk how should I call it. 🤔
Right, because yafeh/yafah is an adjective, not a noun, we can't have the noun 'ishah in construct form because it's not followed by a noun. However, interestingly the adjective is in construct form! So you can think of this literally as "a woman beautiful of appearance"
Moarah uma pergunta ,pq o rê o primeiro do tetra grama é mudo?como yauê ?e não yahue ?grato se me explicar
Merci!!!

What is the meaning of מראה? I admit it has been difficult for me to get the sense of that one.
Bible Hub has a free lexicon available where you can look up Hebrew words. Here is the entry for מַרְאֶה:

I notice you pronounce יהבה as Yahweh and Nehemiah Gordon tells us it should be YEHOVAH. Which is right or are both acceptable?

does ל mean ‘have’? sorry i am lazy student
This inseparable preposition means "to" or "for".
@AlephconBeth shalom! Hay otra palabra para sierva que es אמה como en éxodo 21:20, porque escogieron שפחת ?
Shalom! Sí hay otra palabra אמה y la aprenderemos también más adelante. La palabra שׁפחה aparece en algunos versículos bíblicos que veremos en las próximas lecciones.
